Studies are reported on the reactions of aqueous chlorine with a series of substitution-inert, one-electron metal-complex reductants, which includes [Ru(bpy)3]2+, [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+, [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+, [Ru(terpy)2]2+, and [Fe(3,4,7,8-Me4phen)3]2+. The reactions were studied by spectrophotometry at 25 degrees C in acidic chloride media at mu = 0.3 M. In general the reactions have the stoichiometry 2[ML3]2+ + Cl2-->2[ML3]3+ + 2Cl-. In the case of [Ru(bpy)3]2+, the reaction is quite photosensitive; the thermal reaction is so slow as to be practically immeasurable. The reactions of [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+ and [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+ are also highly photosensitive, giving pseudo-first-order rate constants that depend on the monochromator slit width in a stopped-flow instrument; however, the thermal rates are fast enough that they can be obtained by extrapolation of kobs to zero slit width. The reactions of [Ru(terpy)2]2+ and [Fe(3,4,7,8-Me4phen)3]2+ show no appreciable photosensitivity, allowing direct determination of their thermal rate laws. From the kinetic effects of pH, [Cl2]tot, and [Cl-] it is evident that all of the thermal rate laws have a first-order dependence on [ML3]2+ and on [Cl2]. The second-order rate constants decrease as Eo for the complex increases, consistent with the predictions of Marcus theory for an outer-sphere electron-transfer mechanism. Quantum yields at 460 nm for the reactions of [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+ and [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+ exceed 0.1 and show a dependence on [Cl2] indicative of competition among spontaneous decay of *Ru, nonreactive quenching by Cl2, and reactive quenching by Cl2.  相似文献

The reaction of an S-bridged Co2(III)Ag3(I) pentanuclear complex, [Ag3[Co(aet)3]2][BF4]3 (aet = NH2CH2CH2S-), with paraformaldehyde in basic acetonitrile, followed by adding aqueous ammonia, produced an aza-capped Co2(III)-Ag3(I) complex, [Ag3[Co(L)]2]3+ ([1]3+) (L = N(CH2NHCH2CH2S-)3). The crystal structure of [1]3+ was determined by X-ray crystallography. [1][PF6]3 x H2O, empirical formula C18H44Ag3Co2F18N8OP3S6, crystallizes in the tetragonal space group 142m with a = 13.012(1) A, c = 24.707(2) A, and Z = 4. In [1]3+ the two aza-capped [Co(L)] units are linked by three Ag(I) atoms, such that the two Co(III) atoms are encapsulated in a macrobicyclic metallocage, [Ag3(I)(L)2]3-. [1]3+ was converted to an aza-capped Co4(III)Zn4(II) octanuclear complex, [Zn4O[Co(L)]4]6+ ([2]6+), by reaction with I- in the presence of Zn2+ and ZnO in water. The crystal structure of [2]6+ was also determined by X-ray crystallography. [2][PF6]6 x 8H2O, empirical formula C36H100Co4F36N16O9P6S12Zn4, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1/n) with a = 14.33(7) A, b = 25.67(10) A, c = 24.83(6) A, beta = 101.3(3) degrees , and Z = 4. In [2]6+ each of four [Co(L)] units is bound to each trigonal Zn3(II) face of the tetrahedral [Zn4(II)O]6+ core, such that each Co(III) atom is encapsulated in a macrobicyclic [Zn4(II)O(L)] fragment. Treatment of [2]6+ with a basic aqueous solution resulted in a cleavage of the Zn-S bonds to produce an aza-capped Co(III) mononuclear complex, [Co(L)] ([3]), from which [1]3+ is readily reproduced by the reaction with Ag+ in water. All the reactions were found to proceed with retention of the absolute configuration (delta or lambda) of the Co(III) chiral centers; deltadelta-[1]3+, deltadeltadeltadelta-[2]6+, and A-[3] were derived from deltadelta-[Ag3[Co(aet)3]2]3+. The contributions to circular dichroism (CD) from the triple helicity in [1]3+, besides from the asymmetric N and S donor atoms and the Co(III) chiral centers in [1]3+ and [2]6+, were estimated by comparing the CD spectra of deltadelta-[1]3+, deltadeltadeltadelta-[2]6+, and delta-[3].  相似文献

The spectroscopic and photophysical properties of zeolite-Y-entrapped [Ru(bpy)3]2+ co-doped with either [Fe(bpy)3]2+ or [Fe(tpy)2]2+ over a range of iron complex loadings are presented. In solution, [Ru(bpy)3]2+ undergoes efficient bimolecular energy transfer to [Fe(bpy)3]2+, whereas only radiative or trivial energy transfer occurs between [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+. In sharp contrast, within zeolite Y, both [Fe(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+ were found to effectively quench the donor emission. Fitting the Perrin model to the photophysical data yields an effective quenching radius of 32 and 27 A, respectively, for [Fe(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+. The long-range nature of the quenching suggests F?rster energy transfer. Detailed spectroscopic investigations indicate that [Fe(tpy)2]2+ bound within zeolite Y undergoes significant distortion from octahedral geometry. This distortion results in increased oscillator strength and enhanced spectral overlap, between the [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (3)d pi-pi* donor emission and the co-incident acceptor (1)T2-(1)A1 ligand field absorption compared with solution. This turns on an efficient energy transfer to [Fe(tpy)2]2+ within the confinement of the zeolite Y supercage. Overall, this is an interesting example of the ability of the zeolite environment to provoke new photophysical processes not possible in solution.  相似文献

This paper reports a pH-dependent H2-activation [H2 (pH 1-4) --> H+ + H- (pH -1) --> 2H+ + 2e-] promoted by CpIr complexes [Cp = eta5-C5(CH3)5]. In a pH range of about 1-4, an aqueous HNO3 solution of [CpIr(III)(H2O)3]2+ (1) reacts with 3 equiv of H2 to yield a solution of [(CpIr(III))2(mu-H)3]+ (2) as a result of heterolytic H2-activation [2[1] + 3H2 (pH 1-4) --> [2] + 3H+ + 6H2O]. The hydrido ligands of 2 display protonic behavior and undergo H/D exchange with D+: [M-(H)3-M]+ + 3D+ <==>[M-(D)3-M]+ + 3H+ (where M = CpIr). Complex 2 is insoluble in a pH range of about -0.2 (1.6 M HNO3/H2O) to -0.8 (6.3 M HNO3/H2O). At pH -1 (10 M HNO3/H2O), a powder of 2 drastically reacts with HNO3 to give a solution of [CpIr(III)(NO3)2] (3) with evolution of H2, NO, and NO2 gases. D-labeling experiments show that the evolved H2 is derived from the hydrido ligands of 2. These results suggest that oxidation of the hydrido ligands of 2 [[2] + 4NO3- (pH -1) --> 2[3] + H2 + H+ + 4e-] couples to reduction of NO3- (NO3- --> NO2- --> NO). To complete the reaction cycle, complex 3 is transformed into 1 by increasing the pH of the solution from -1 to 1. Therefore, we are able to repeat the reaction cycle using 1, H2, and a pH gradient between 1 and -1. A conceivable mechanism for the H2-activation cycle with reduction of NO3- is proposed.  相似文献

An S-bridged RhIII2PtII2 tetranuclear complex having two nonbridging thiolato groups, [{Pt(NH3)2}2{Rh(aet)3}2]4+ ([1]4+), in which two fac(S)-[Rh(aet)3] units are linked by two trans-[Pt(NH3)2]2+ moieties, was synthesized by the 1:1 reaction of fac(S)-[Rh(aet)3] (aet = 2-aminoethanethiolate) with trans-[PtCl2(NH3)2] in water. Complex [1]4+ gave both the meso (DeltaLambda) and racemic (DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda) forms, which were separated by fractional crystallization. Of two possible geometries, syn and anti, which arise from the arrangement of two nonbridging thiolato groups, the meso and racemic forms of [1]4+ selectively afforded the anti and syn geometries, respectively. The DeltaLambda-anti and DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda-syn isomers of [1]4+ reacted with Ag+ using two nonbridging thiolato groups to produce a {RhIII2PtII2AgI}n) polymeric complex, {[Ag{Pt(NH3)2}2{Rh(aet)3}2]5+}n) ([2]5+), and a RhIII2PtII2AgI pentanuclear complex, [Ag{Pt2(mu-H2O)(NH3)2}{Rh(aet)3}2]5+ ([3]5+), respectively, which contain octahedral RhIII, square-planar PtII, and linear AgI centers. In [2]5+, each DeltaLambda-anti-[{Pt(NH3)2}2{Rh(aet)3}2]4+ tetranuclear unit is bound to two AgI atoms to form a one-dimensional zigzag chain, indicating the retention of the parental S-bridged structure in DeltaLambda-anti-[1]4+. In [3]5+, two Delta- or Lambda-fac(S)-[Rh(aet)3] units are linked by a [Pt2(mu-H2O)(NH3)2]4+ dinuclear moiety, together with an AgI atom, indicating that two NH3 molecules in [1]4+ have been replaced by a water molecule that bridges two PtII centers, while the parental DeltaDelta/LambdaLambda-syn configuration is retained. The complexes obtained were characterized on the basis of electronic absorption, CD, and NMR spectra, along with single-crystal X-ray analyses.  相似文献

The reaction of Hg(TePh)2 with AgX (X = Cl, NO3) in the presence of PPh3 and PMePh2 in dimethylformamide (DMF) affords the cluster [Hg6Ag4(TePh)16] (1) at room temperature or [Hg6Ag4Te(TePh)14]2 (2) with heating. When Hg(TePh)2 is reacted with [Co(PPh3)2Cl2] or [Ni(PPh3)2Cl2], the clusters [Hg8Te(PhTe)12Cl4]Q [3; Q = [Co(DMF)6]2+ (3a), [Ni(DMF)6]2+ (3b)] are formed. The syntheses of 1 and 2 occur with the incorporation of AgI into the cluster, and the single-crystal analyses show that the two ternary clusters consist of Hg, Ag, and Te centers occupying well-defined positions. Compounds 3a and 3b do not show the incorporation of the metal into the cluster, but the CoII and NiII salts provide the Cl atom to generate the anionic cluster 3 stabilized by the [Co(DMF)6]2+ or [Ni(DMF)6]2+ ion.  相似文献

Reactions of Hg(OAc)2 with 2 equiv of TabHPF6 [TabH = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiol] in MeCN/MeOH afforded a mononuclear linear complex [Hg(Tab)2](PF6)2 (1). By using 1 as a precursor, a new family of mercury(II) zwitterionic thiolate complexes, [Hg2(Tab)6](PF6)4.2MeCN (2.2MeCN), [Hg(Tab)2(SCN)](PF6) (3), [Hg(Tab)2(SCN)2] (4), [Hg(Tab)I2] (5), {[Hg(Tab)2]4[HgI2][Hg2I6]}(PF6)2(NO3)4 (6), [Hg(Tab)2][HgI4] (7), [Hg(Tab)2][HgCl2(SCN)2] (8), [Tab-Tab]2[Hg3Cl10] (9), and [Hg2(Tab)6]3(PF6)Cl11 (10), were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-vis spectra, 1H NMR, and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The [Hg2(Tab)6]4+ tetracation of 2 or 10 contains an asymmetrical Hg2S2 rhomb with an inversion center lying on the midpoint of the Hg...Hg line. The Hg atom of the [Hg(Tab)2]2+ dication of 3 is coordinated to one SCN-, forming a rare T-shaped coordination geometry, while in 4, the Hg atom of [Hg(Tab)2]2+ is coordinated to two SCN-, forming a seesaw-shaped coordination geometry. Through weak secondary Hg...S coordinations, each cation in 3 is further linked to afford a one-dimensional zigzag chain. The trigonal [Hg(Tab)I2] molecules in 5 are held together by weak secondary Hg...I and Hg...S interactions, forming a one-dimensional chain structure. In 6, the four [Hg(Tab)2]2+ dications, one HgI2 molecule, one [Hg2I6]2- dianion, one PF6-, and four NO3- anions are interconnected by complicated secondary Hg...I and Hg...O interactions, forming a scolopendra-like chain structure. The secondary Hg...I interactions, [Hg(Tab)2]2+ and [HgI4]2- in 7, are combined to generate a one-dimensional chain structure, while [Hg(Tab)2]2+ and [HgCl2(SCN)2]2- in 8 are interconnected by secondary Hg...N interactions to form a one-dimensional zigzag chain structure. Compound 9 consists of two [Tab-Tab]2+ dications and one [Hg3Cl10]4- tetraanion. The facile approach to the construction of 2-8 and 10 from 1 may be applicable to the mimicking of a coordination sphere of the Hg sites of metallothioneins.  相似文献

A comparative structural and spectroscopic investigation of the complexes [M(1)2]2+, [M(2)2]2+ and [M(3)2]2+ in which M = Fe or Ru, and ligands 1, 2 and 3 are 4'-(2-pyridyl)-, 4'-(3-pyridyl)- and 4'-(4-pyridyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine, respectively, is reported. The complexes [Ru(1)2]2+, [Ru(2)2]2+ and [Ru(3)2]2+ undergo mono- and bis-N-methylation. The consequences of methylation on the absorption spectra and electrochemical properties are discussed; the solid-state structure of the bis(N-methylated) derivative of [Ru(2)2][PF6]2 is presented.  相似文献

The synthesis and coordination chemistry of a new chiral ligand, 2,2'-bipyridine substituted at the 5 and 5' positions by N-methyl-L-valine methyl ester (5), is presented. The ligand readily forms complexes [M(5)3]2+ where M = Co(II) and Fe(II) in CH3CN, and the complexation reaction is slightly diastereoselective (d.e. =ca. 20%) in favour of the Delta diastereomer. The addition of six equivalents of HCl to these complexes [M(II)(5)3]2+ leads to formation of Delta-[M(II)(5H2)3]8+ with a d.e. of 100%. This high diastereoselectivity can be reversed by the addition of base i.e. the diastereoselectivity can be controlled by the pH. Delta-[Fe(5H2)3]8+ was found to bind chloride ions in CD3OD-CD3CN (6:1) with a binding constant of 260 M(-1). [Co(II)(5)3]2+ can be oxidised to Delta-[Co(III)(5H2)3]9+. Formation constants for both [Co(II)(5)3]2+ and [Co(II)(5H2)3]8+ in acetonitrile were obtained by spectrophotometric titrations. In the former case, the stability constant, log beta3 = 19.5(8), is very similar to that measured for [Co(II)(bipy)3]2+ (log beta3 = 19.3(7)) but this drops significantly when the amine groups of are protonated (log beta3 = 16.5(2)). A dynamic combinatorial library was prepared by mixing three equivalents of, three equivalents of bipy, and two equivalents of Co(II) in CD3CN. The presence of all possible Delta- and Lambda-[Co(II)(5)x(bipy)(3-x)]2+ complexes was inferred from 1H NMR and ES-MS spectra. Addition of protons to this library reduced the number of components by inducing diastereoselectivity, and presence of chloride further simplified the 1H NMR spectrum, indicating that [Cl2 ligand Delta-[Co(II)(5H2)3]]6+ and [Co(II)(bipy)3]2+ were the dominant products.  相似文献

The bis(μ3-ethylidyne) tricobalt cluster [(CpCo)33-CCH3)2] (1b) is protonated by trifluoroacetic acid to give the dicobalt edge-protonated cation [H(CpCo)33-CCH3)2]+ [lb + H]+. Protonation of the μ3-ethylidyne tetracobalt cluster hydride [H(CpCo)43-CCH3)] (3) takes place in two consecutive steps. At low temperature [H2(CpCo)43-CCH3)]+ [3 + H]+ is formed first, and is then slowly converted into [H3(CpCo)43-CCH3)]2+ [3 + 2H]2+ by an excess of acid. As judged by the 1H NMR data and the crystal structure of [3 + X]+[(CF3COO)2X] (X = H or D) the endo hydrogens in [3 + H]+ and [3 + 2H]2+ occupy μ3-(Co3) face capping hydridic positions. The cations [1b + H]+ and [3 + H]+ show hydride fluxionality in solution, which in the case of [3 + H]+ can be frozen out on the NMR timescale at low temperature (ΔG (203 K) = 40.8 kJ/mol). The structure of [3 + X]+ [(CF3COO)2X] (X = H or D) was determined by X-ray crystallography. One of the hydrides/deuterides is located on the crystallographic mirror plane, capping a tricobalt face of the cluster cation. The other endo hydrogen atom is believed to be disordered between the other two μ3-(Co3) sites, which are related by space group symmetry. Deuteronation of 3 shows a strong normal kinetic deuterium isotope effect. From the temperature independence of the 1H NMR spectrum of [3 + 2D]2+ a non-fluxional solution structure can be inferred. In all the systems studied, hydridic (μ2- or μ3-) sites are thermodynamically preferred to possible isomeric agostic CoHC or Co2HC sites for the endo hydrogens. Agostic interactions cannot, however, be ruled out in transient intermediates during the course of the protonations.  相似文献

Heteroheptanuclear ReM6 (M = Cu 2, Ag 3) complexes of 5,5-diethynyl-2,2'-bipyridine were prepared by the reaction of [M2(mu-dppm)2(MeCN)2]2+ (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) with the precursor compound Re(Me3SiC[triple bond]CbpyC[triple bond]CSiMe3)(CO)3Cl in the presence of potassium fluoride by fluoride-catalyzed desilylation. When [Cu2(mu-dppm)2(MeCN)2]2+ reacts directly with Me3SiC[triple bond]CbpyC[triple bond]CSiMe3, a binuclear CuI complex [Cu2(mu-dppm)2(SiMe3C[triple bond]CbpyC[triple bond]CSiMe3)2]2+ (4) was isolated. Further addition of [Cu2(mu-dppm)2(MeCN)2]2+ into a THF-MeOH (3:1, v/v) solution of 4 in the presence of potassium fluoride induced isolation of a tetradecanuclear CuI14 complex [Cu14(mu-dppm)14(C[triple bond]CbpyC[triple bond]C)2]10+, which is composed of a binuclear Cu2(mu-dppm)2 and four triangular trinuclear Cu3 units. Both heteroheptanuclear ReIMI6 and tetradecanuclear CuI14 complexes display luminescence in both solid states and dichloromethane solutions at room temperature with emissive lifetimes in the range of microseconds. The dual emissive feature for the ReM6 and CuI14 complexes is ascribed tentatively to originate from both MLCT [d(Re/Cu) -->pi* (bpy)] and LMCT (acetylide --> M3) transitions. .  相似文献

In this paper, the mechanisms of the intermolecular [3+2] and [1+2] cycloaddition reactions of 1,1/1,3-dipolar π-delocalized singlet vinylcarbenes, which is obtained from cyclopropenone, with an electron-deficient C═O or C═C dipolarophile, to generate five-membered ring products are first disclosed by the density functional theory (DFT). Four reaction pathways, including two concerted [3+2] cycloaddition reaction pathways and two stepwise reaction pathways (an initial [1+2] cycloaddition and then a rearrangement from the [1+2] cycloadducts to the final [3+2] cycloadducts), are investigated at the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The calculated results reveal that, in contrast to the concerted C═O [3+2] cycloaddition reaction pathway, which is 7.1 kcal/mol more energetically preferred compared with its stepwise reaction pathway, the C═C dipolarophile favors undergoing [1+2] cycloaddition rather than concerted [3+2] cycloaddition (difference of 5.3 kcal/mol). The lowest free energy barrier of the C═O concerted [3+2] cycloaddition reaction pathway shows that it predominates all other reaction pathways. This observation is consistent with the finding that the C═O [3 + 2] cycloadduct is the main product under experimental conditions. In addition, natural bond orbital second-order perturbation charge analyses are carried out to explain the preferred chemoselectivity of C═O to the C═C dipolarophile and the origins of cis-stereoselectivity for C═C [1+2] cycloaddition. Solvent effects are further considered at the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level in the solvents CH(3)CN, DMF, THF, CH(2)Cl(2), toluene, and benzene using the PCM model. The results indicate that the relative reaction trends and the main products are insensitive to the polarity of the reaction solvent.  相似文献

Voltammetric studies on the reduction of alpha and beta isomers of the Keggin polyoxometalate anion [SiW12O40]4- reveal a series of electrochemically reversible processes in acidic aqueous media. In the presence of NO2-, catalytic current is detected in the potential region of the [SiW12O40]4-/5- process. Electronic spectroscopy and simulation of voltammetric data undertaken at variable [NO2-] and [H+] allow the following mechanism to be postulated, [SiW12O40]4- + e- <-->[SiW12O40]5-, H+ + HNO2 <--> NO+ + H2O, NO+ + [SiW12O40]5- --> NO + [SiW12O40]4-. The second-order rate constant for the rate-determining step is faster for the alpha isomer than for the beta one. This may be attributed to the different reversible potentials of -0.144 V (alpha isomer) and -0.036 V vs Ag/AgCl (beta isomer) and, hence, smaller driving force for an assumed outer sphere electron-transfer reaction in the case of beta isomer. A stable, water-insoluble, thin-film [Ru(bipy)3]2[alpha-SiW12O40] chemically modified electrode was generated electrochemically via ion-exchange of [Ru(bipy)3]2+ with Bu4N+ in the [Bu4N]4[alpha-SiW12O40] solid. The first reduction process with this modified electrode gives rise to the reaction [Ru(bipy)3]2[alpha-SiW12O40](solid) + H+(soln) + e- <--> H[Ru(bipy)3]2[alpha-SiW12O40](solid). The need to transfer a proton from the solution to the solid phase for charge neutralization purposes introduces a hydrogen-ion concentration dependence into this reaction, which is not found in the solution-phase study. Nevertheless, the voltammetric catalytic activity with respect to nitrite reduction is retained with the chemically modified electrode. However, nitrite catalysis with the [Ru(bipy)3]2[alpha-SiW12O40]-modified electrode is now independent of concentration of H+, rather than exhibiting a first-order dependence, and full mechanistic details for this process are unknown.  相似文献

A range of ligands in which a macrocyclic unit is fused to a 1,10-phenanthroline unit has been prepared starting from 5,6-dihydroxyphenanthroline. The ligands are L1 in which the pendant ligand is 18-crown-6; L2, in which the pendant ligand is benzo-24-crown-8; and L(3), in which the macrocycle contains two carboxamide units. Ligands L1 and L2 can bind Group 1 and 2 metal cations in their crown-ether cavities; L3 contains two H-bond (amide) donors and is suitable for anion-binding. Luminescent complexes of the form [Ru(bipy)2L]2+, [ReL(CO)3Cl] and [RuL(CN)4]2- were prepared and some were structurally characterised; their interactions with various guest species were investigated by luminescence and NMR spectroscopy. For complexes with the crown ethers (L1 and L2), binding of K+ was rather weak, but the electrostatic effect due to the charge on the host complex was clear with [RuL1(CN)4]2- binding K+ more strongly than [Ru(bipy)2L1]2+. Binding to the pendant crown ethers was much stronger with Ba2+, and both [ReL1(CO)3Cl] and [ReL2(CO)3Cl] showed substantial luminescence quenching in MeCN on addition of Ba2+ ions, with binding constants of 4.5 x 10(4) M(-1) for [ReL1(CO)3Cl]/Ba2+ and 1.3 x 10(5) M(-1) for [ReL2(CO)3Cl]/Ba2+. Complexes [Ru(bipy)2L3]2+ and [ReL3(CO)3Cl], due to their H-bond donor sites, showed binding of dihydrogenphosphate to the macrocycle. Whereas [ReL3(CO)3Cl] showed 1 : 1 binding with (H2PO4)- in dmso with a binding constant of 65 M(-1), [Ru(bipy)2L3]2+ showed 1 : 2 binding, with microscopic association constants of ca. 1 x 10(6) and 1.6 x 10(6) M(-1) in MeCN. The fact that K2 > K1 suggests a cooperative interaction whereby binding of the first anion makes binding of the second one easier to an extent which overcomes electrostatic effects, and a model for this is proposed which also accounts for the substantial increase in luminescence from [Ru(bipy)2L3]2+ (5-fold enhancement) when the second (H2PO4)- anion binds. Both [Ru(bipy)2L3]2+ and [ReL3(CO)3Cl] undergo complete luminescence quenching and a change in colour to near-black in the presence of (anhydrous) fluoride in MeCN, probably due to deprotonation of the carboxamide group. These changes are however irreversible on a long timescale and lead to slow decomposition.  相似文献

[structure: see text]. All stereoisomers of a cyclic alkyne containing three helicene units, 1,12-dimethylbenzo[c]phenanthrene, are synthesized using a building block. Isomeric [3 + 3]cycloalkynes aggregate in organic solvents. Vapor pressure osmometry reveals dimer formation of (M,M,M)-[3 + 3]cycloalkynes in chloroform and benzene at concentrations above 2 mM. No higher aggregation is observed. The chirality of helicenes plays an important role in self-aggregation, and diastereomeric (M,P,M)-[3 + 3]cycloalkyne forms a dimer only above 15 mM. Aggregation of racemic (M,M,M)-[3 + 3]cycloalkyne or (M,P,M)-[3 + 3]cycloalkyne is much weaker than that of a single enantiomer.  相似文献

The reaction of Mn2+ with [Cr(ox)3]3- in the presence of the spin-crossover [Co(terpy)2]2+ cation gives rise to a 1D [Co(terpy)2][Mn(H2O)ClCr(ox)3].H2O.0.5MeOH (1) or a 2D [Co(terpy)2][Mn(H2O)Cr(ox)3]2.5H2O.0.5MeOH (2). The trimetallic complexes display dominant ferromagnetic behavior, and spin-crossover of [Co(terpy)2]2+ is suppressed by the chemical pressure of the polymeric oxalate-bridged network.  相似文献

Hydrogen-bonded supramolecular cation assemblies of (NH4+/NH2-NH3+)(crown ether), where the crown ether is [12]crown-4, [15]crown-5, or [18]crown-6, were incorporated into electrically conducting [Ni(dmit)2] salts (dmit2- = 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate). (NH4+)([12]crown-4)[Ni(dmit)2]3(CH3CN)2 had a pyramidal shape, while ionic channels were observed in (NH4+)(0.88)([15]crown-5)[Ni(dmit)(2)]2 and (NH4+)(0.70)([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)(2)]2. Both (NH4+)(0.88)([15]crown-5) and (NH4+)(0.70)([18]crown-6) contained regularly spaced [Ni(dmit)(2)] stacks formed by N-H.O hydrogen bonding between the oxygen atoms in crown ethers and the NH4+ ion. NH4+ occurred nonstoichiometrically; there were vacant ionic sites in the ionic channels. The ionic radius of NH4+ is larger than the cavity radius of [15]crown-5 and [18]crown-6. Therefore, NH4+ ions could not pass through the cavity and were distributed randomly in the ionic channels. The static disorder caused the conduction electrons to be randomly localized to the [Ni(dmit)2] stacks. Hydrazinium (NH2-NH3+) formed the supramolecular cations in (NH2-NH3+)([12]crown-4)2[Ni(dmit)2]4 and (NH2-NH3+)2([15]crown-5)3[Ni(dmit)2]6, possessing a sandwich and club-sandwich structure, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, these represent the first hydrazinium-crown ether assemblies to be identified in the solid. In the supramolecular cations, hydrogen bonding was detected between the ammonium or the amino protons of NH2-NH3+ and the oxygen atoms of crown ethers. The sandwich-type cations coexisted with the [Ni(dmit)2] dimer stacks. Although the assemblies were typically semiconducting, ferromagnetic interaction (Weiss temperature = +1 K) was detected in the case of (NH2-NH3+)2([15]crown-5)3[Ni(dmit)2]6. The (NH2-NH3+)0.8([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)2]2 and (NH4+)0.76([18]crown-6)[Ni(dmit)2]2 crystals were isomorphous. The large and flexible [18]crown-6 allowed for maintaining the same ionic channel structure through replacement of the NH4+ cation by NH2-NH3+.  相似文献

Solvatomorphism has been found between two series of complexes of the composition [M(bpy)3]2[NbO(C2O4)3]Cl.nH2O [M = Fe2+ (1, 2), Co2+ (3, 4), Ni2+ (5, 6), Cu2+ (7) and Zn2+ (8, 9); bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine)], crystallizing in the monoclinic space group P2 1/c [3, 5, 8 (n = 11)] or in the orthorhombic space group P21 21 21 [2, 4, 6, 7 (n = 12)]. All the structures contain two symmetry independent [M(bpy)3]2+ cations, one [NbO(C2O4)3]3- anion, one Cl(-) anion, and crystal water molecules. The cations possess a trigonally distorted octahedral geometry, with an additional tetragonal distortion in 7. Analysis of crystal packing reveals a specific type of supramolecular contact comprising four bipyridine ligands from two neighbouring [M(bpy)3]2+ cations--quadruple aryl embrace (QAE) contact. The contact is realized by the alignment of two molecular two-fold rotation axes, preserving the parallel orientation of the molecular three-fold rotation axes. The resulting two-dimensional honeycomb lattices of [M(bpy)3]2+ cations are placed between the hydrogen bonding layers made of [NbO(C2O4)3]3- and Cl(-) anions and the majority of the crystal water molecules. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements (1.8-300 K) show a significant orbital angular momentum contribution for 3 and 4 (high-spin Co2+), the influence of zero-field splitting for 5 and 6(Ni2+) and a substantially paramagnetic Curie behaviour for the Cu2+ compound (7).  相似文献

Ion-molecule reactions between complexes [La(CH3CN)n]3+ (n=6-9) or [La(NC(CH2)4CN)n]3+ (n=3-4) and water were studied at low collision energies in the second quadrupole of a tandem mass spectrometer. The products [La(CH3CN)p(H2O)8-p]3+ (p=6-8) and [La(NC(CH2)4CN)q(H2O)8-2q]3+ (q=3-4) had the highest relative abundances. This strongly suggests that the preferred coordination number of La3+ is eight. Similarly, the coordination number of Ca2+ was re-examined both experimentally and theoretically, and was found to be six, in good agreement with previous observations. Density functional calculations provide strong evidence that the primary solvation shell of [La(L)n]3+ consists of eight ligands; additional ligands reside in a second solvation shell and are hydrogen bonded to one or two water molecules in the first shell.  相似文献

The reaction of Ln(NO3)3.aq with K3[Cr(CN)6] and 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) in a water/ethanol solution led to two families of complexes: 4 one-dimensional (1D) complexes of the formula trans-[Cr(CN)4(mu-CN)2Ln(H2O)3(bpy)2]n.4nH2O.3.5nbpy (Ln3+ = La, Ce, Pr, and Nd) and 10 1D complexes of the formula trans-[Cr(CN)4(mu-CN)2Ln(H2O)4(bpy)]n.3.5nH2O.1.5nbpy (Ln3+ = Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu). The structures for the fourteen complexes [LaCr]n (1), [CeCr]n (2), [PrCr]n (3), [NdCr]n (4), [NdCr]n (4'), [SmCr]n (5), [EuCr]n (6), [TbCr]n (7), [DyCr]n (8), [HoCr]n (9), [ErCr]n (10), [TmCr]n (11), [YbCr]n (12), and [LuCr]n (13) have been solved. Complexes 1-4 crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pbam and are isomorphous; complexes 4'-13 crystallize in the triclinic space group PI and are isomorphous. The X-ray structural characterization of complexes 1-4 shows the presence of a discrete decameric water cluster built around a cyclic hexameric core stabilized by the solid-state structure, which represents another new mode of association of water molecules. The Ln3+-Cr3+ magnetic interaction is negligible in 6 and 12, antiferromagnetic in 2, 4', 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, and unresolved for 3. The complex 5 is a ferrimagnet because its magnetic studies suggest the onset of a very weak ferromagnetic three-dimensional ordering.  相似文献
