Hydroboration polymerization of dienes and thexylborane produces organoboron polymers, which can be regarded as a polymer homolog of trialkylboranes. In other words, the organoboron polymers obtained can be expected to be a novel type of reactive polymer. The present paper describes versatile reactions of organoboron polymers prepared by hydroboration polymerization. For example, reactions with carbon monoxide or with KCN were followed by oxidative treatment to produce the corresponding poly(alcohol)s or poly(ketone)s, respectively. The organoboron polymers were also reacted with bromopyridyl anion or with furyl anion to form cyano- or hydroxyl-containing polymers via ring-opening of pyridine or furan, respectively. Reductive treatment of the organoboron polymer gave the corresponding polymer after reductive cleavage of carbon—boron bonds.  相似文献

The polymerization of dimethylsufoxonium methylide to produce linear polymethylene polymers is described. The reaction is catalyzed/initiated by trialkylboranes and gives organoboron star polymers as the primary product. The reaction is a living polymerization, providing control over molecular weight and functionality at the polymer chain ends. A variety of novel polymethylene architectures are available by this methodology.  相似文献

综述了过渡金属均相催化的炔烃复分解反应进展,主要分为两部分:一是炔烃复分解反应在炔烃合成中的应用,即从六、七十年代Mortreux催化剂的发现能均相催化炔烃的歧化反应,经过一系列的条件改造,合成了炔醚和二芳基乙炔等化合物,并提出了可能的两种机理:金属卡宾和金属卡拜机理;金属钼和钨的卡拜络合物相继合成,发现此类络合物能够催化官能化的二炔的复分解反应,合成一系列的大环化合物。二是炔烃复分解反应在合成高聚物中的应用,即钙和钨的卡拜络合物被用来催化ROMP和ADIMET反应合成高聚物,改良了的Mortreux催化剂也能催化高聚物的生成,这些高聚物在发光器件、有机"塑料"激光、液晶显示器上都有应用。  相似文献

Multicomponent polymerization (MCP) is a popular tool to construct polymers with diverse structure, simple operation, and high efficiency, which faces the challenges of limited product structures. Multicomponent tandem polymerization (MCTP), combining two or multiple reactions in a one‐pot fashion, could expand the scope of MCP and enrich the polymer structures. Herein, a one‐pot three‐component tandem polymerization of diynes, carbonyl chloride, and Fischer's base has been developed to afford conjugated poly(diene merocyanine)s with mild condition, satisfactory molecular weights (Mw up to 10900 g/mol) and yields (up to 81%). The polymers enjoy good solubility and high thermal stability. The unique emission behavior of the model compound and polymer show that they are aggregation‐induced emission (AIE)‐active, suggesting that the diene merocyanine moiety is a potential AIEgen. This MCTP shows great potential in the preparation of functional polymer materials, which could build new AIE functional units directly from the polymerization, demonstrating its synthetic simplicity and elegance.  相似文献

Polymerization by cycloaddition between aldothioketene and its alkynethiol tautomer (derived in situ from a diyne) leading to the formation of dithiafulvene unit‐linked polymers has been studied. Two aromatic diynes [bis(4‐ethynyldiphenyl)methane ( 1a ) and 4,4′‐diethynyldiphenyl ether) ( 1b )] were used as starting materials with the aim of obtaining non‐π‐conjugated methylene‐ and oxygen‐bridged aromatic poly(dithiafulvene)s. The poly(dithiafulvene) derived from bis(4‐ethynyldiphenyl)methane can be considered as an interesting precursor to a small band‐gap polymer having alternating aromatic and quinonoid moieties. Further, two aliphatic diynes [1,7‐octadiyne ( 3a ) and 1,9‐decadiyne ( 3b )] were subjected to cycloaddition polymerization to obtain aliphatic poly(dithiafulvene)s containing localized electron‐rich dithiafulvene units. The polymers obtained were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, gel permeation chromatography, and cyclic voltammetry. The electron‐donating property of the polymers was evident from the charge‐transfer (CT) complex formation with an electron acceptor 7,7,8,8‐teracyanoquinodimethane. The synthesis of pyridine-containing polymers was carried out by the cycloaddition of diynes with nitriles in the presence of organocobalt complexes as catalysts. As a model experiment, the pyridine-formation reaction of monofunctional acetylenes with nitriles was reexamined in detail in the presence of organocobalt catalysts, from which the combination of terminal aliphatic acetylenes and aromatic nitriles was proved to be suitable for the specific pyridine-formation process. On the basis of this result, the polymerization of terminal aliphatic diynes with aromatic nitriles was carried out in the presence of the cobalt catalyst (10 mol %) to give polymers containing substituted pyridine moieties in the main chain in high yields. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Green monomers, such as carbon dioxide(CO_2), are closely related to our daily life and highly desirable to be transferred to functional polymers with diverse structures and versatile properties because they are abundant, cheap, nontoxic, renewable, and sustainable. However, the polymerizations based on these green monomers are to be further developed. In this work, a facile CO_2 and alkyne-based one-pot, two-step, fourcomponent tandem polymerization was successfully established. The polymerization of CO_2, diynes, alkyl dihalides, and primary/secondary amines can proceed under mild reaction conditions and regio-and stereoregular poly(aminoacrylate)s with good solubility and thermal stability were obtained in high yields(up to 95%). Notably, distinctly different stereoregularity of resultant poly(aminoacrylate)s was realized via using primary or secondary amines. Using the former would readily generate polymers with 100% Z-isomers, whereas the latter furnished products with over 95% E-isomers. Through different monomer combination, the polymers with tunable structures and properties were obtained.Moreover, the tetraphenylethene units containing poly(aminoacrylate)s, showing the unique aggregation-induced emission characteristics,could function as a fluorescent probe for sensitive explosive detection. Thus, this work not only develops a facile CO_2 and alkyne-based multicomponent tandem polymerization but also provides a valuable strategy to fine-tune the polymer structures and properties, which could be potentially applied in diverse areas.  相似文献

We present a microwave-assisted one-pot polymerization with three-components of alkynes, aldehydes and amines for the synthesis of new amino-functionalized optoelectronic polymers. The polymerization of diynes(1a-1c), dialdehydes(2a and 2b) and dibenzylamine catalyzed by InCl_3 was carried out smoothly within 1h under microwave radiation, yielding four soluble polymers with high molecular weights. The resulting polymers P1 and P2 could be easily dissolved in alcohol and thus utilized as the cathode interlayer for polymer solar cells(PSCs). Compared with the control device, the PSCs with P1 and P2 as the cathode interlayer and PTB7-Th:PC_(71)BM as the photoactive layer exhibited significantly higher power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) of 9.49% and 9.16%, respectively. These results suggest that this polycoupling reaction is an efficient approach to construct three-component polymers for the practical applications.  相似文献

Polycyclotrimerization of diynes was explored as a new route to hyperbranched polymers in thisinvestigation. Polymerization of terminal diynes of 1,8-nonadiyne and 1,9-decadiyne was studied usingTaCl_5, NbCl_5, Mo(CO)_4(nbd) and [Mo(CO)_3cp]_2 as catalysts (where nbd = 2,5-norbornadiene, cp = cyclo-pentadiene). A soluble polymer was obtained when the polymerization of 1.9-decadiyne was initiated byTaCl_5 at low temperature (0℃). The polymer, however, became partially soluble after purification, possiblydue to the postpolymerization-induced crosslinking. NbCl_5-catalyzed polymerization of 1,9-bis(trimethylsilyl)-1,8-nonadiyne gave a completely soluble polymer. Soluble polymers were also obtainedfrom the polymerization of 3,9-dodecadiyne initiated by NbCl_5, Mo(CO)_4(nbd), [Mo(CO)_3cp]_2, PdCl_2-ClSiMe_3 and Pd/C-ClSiMe_3. IR, UV, and NMR spectroscopic analysis revealed that different catalysts gavepolymers with different structures, ranging from linear polyenes to hyperbranched polyphenylenes. Thepolymers absorb UV light at around 250 nm and emit fluorescence at 340 nm when they are excited at 248nm.  相似文献

Our work on the characteristics of organoboron‐containing polymers is reviewed. The electronic interaction and correlation involving organoboron complexes are responsible for the optical and electric properties of the polymers. To understand the origins of these properties and apply them to the next generation of new materials, we have gathered not only fundamental knowledge on the electronic states and behaviors of each organoboron complex in the polymers but also on the functions of the polymers in devices. In this article, we introduce our findings obtained from a series of studies on polymers involving cyclodiborazane, quinolate, diketonate, dipyrromethene, pyrazabole, and carborane complexes. Tri-n-butylphosphine-catalyzed polyadditions of activated internal diynes (bifunctional β-substituted propiolate, 1B and 1C ) with diols are described. Although a terminal bispropiolate ( 1A ) could not produce soluble polymers, with secondary diols, the polyaddition of 1B or 1C with primary as well as secondary diols gave corresponding polymers ( 3 , only composed of E isomeric units) in high yield. The rate of the present polyaddition was estimated by a model reaction of benzyl alcohol with methyl 2-heptynoate ( 4 ), from which the introduction of alkyl groups at the β-position of propiolate moieties was found to decrease the rate of the reaction by 80 times. Furthermore, the rate-determining step on this polymerization system was speculated to be a protonation step of zwitterionic intermediates with protons from diols. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The synthesis of well-defined luminescent organoboron polymers via a novel three-step procedure starting from silylated polystyrene is reported. Highly selective borylation of poly(4-trimethylsilylstyrene) (PS-Si), followed by replacement of the bromine substituents in poly(4-dibromoborylstyrene) (PS-BBr) with substituted thienyl groups (R = H, 3-hexyl, 5-hexyl), and final introduction of the 8-hydroxyquinolato moiety yields a series of new organoboron quinolate polymers in 67-83% isolated yield. The hexyl-substituted polymers are highly soluble and solution-processable yielding thin films that efficiently emit light at 513-514 nm upon excitation at 395 nm.  相似文献

The free radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of p,p′- disubstituted diphenylbutadiynes was studied. Both the rate and degree of polymerization are somewhat lowered by the presence of the diynes, but the propagating radicals were stabilized giving clear ESR signals of the interacted polyMMA radicals at the polymerization temperature of 70°C. The magnitude of the interaction depended on the electron density of the diynes; in the cases of diphenylbutadiyne and dimethoxycarbonyldiphenylbutadiyne, the intoraction was more enhanced showing ESR signals with smaller spectra widths and increasing the number of radicals with the polymerization time, while in the cases of electron donor-substituted diynes the interaction was weaker and the radical concentration remained constant during the polymerization. These systems are considered to be examples of the stabilization of transient radicals by the direct interaction of radicals with additives without formation or breaking of chemical bonds. A bulk step‐growth polymerization of multifunctional azides and alkynes through the copper (I)‐catalyzed azide‐alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction is described. The polymerization kinetics of two systems containing different diynes, bisphenol E diyne (BE‐diyne)/bisphenol A bisazide (BA‐bisazide) and tetraethylene glycol diyne (TeEG‐diyne)/BA‐bisazide, are evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), shear rheology, and thermogravimetric analysis. The effects of catalyst concentration on reaction kinetics are investigated in detail, as are the thermal properties (glass transition and decomposition temperatures) of the formed polymers. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper summarizes our recent works on the synthesis and properties of the organoboron polymers, especially poly(cyclodiborazane)s. The polymers consist of boron–nitrogen four-membered rings, and are highly stable against air and moisture. The obtained polymers exhibited interesting properties as a novel type of π-conjugated polymers with intramolecular charge transfer structure. Their stability and potential as functional materials would be important and informative both in industry and boron chemistry.  相似文献

In the past decade, direct arylation polymerization (DArP) has rapidly developed as a sustainable synthetic protocol for cost-effective, atom-economical preparation of conjugated polymers. By circumventing monomer functionalization with toxic transmetallating reagents such as organostannane and organoboron required for Stille-Migita and Suzuki-Miyaura polymerization methods, DArP proceeds through a metal-catalyzed C H activation pathway for the preparation of high-performance conjugated polymer materials. This review evaluates the development of several classes of efficient catalysts/catalytic systems from small-molecule studies to polymerizations, including the mechanisms involved in these transformations and how they inspire catalyst and monomer design for defect-free conjugated polymer synthesis. Recent advances in developing more sustainable first-row transition metal catalysts for DArP are also highlighted, and the fundamental understanding of these efficient and sustainable catalysts should motivate the pursuit for the next generation of catalytic design to enable more effective and environmentally friendly conjugated polymer synthesis.  相似文献

A new preparative route to photocrosslinkable polymers in which the polymers are produced directly from the polymerization of vinyl monomers having photocrosslinkable groups has been investigated. The photosensitive resins thus produced have higher sensitivity and resolution than conventional photosensitive resins. The monomers were synthesized from the esterification of vinylphenols or vinyl β-chloroethyl ether with cinnamic acid, β-styrylacrylic acid, and their homologs, and from the etherification of vinyl β-chloroethyl ether with hydroxychalcones. Homopolymerizations of these monomers and their copolymerizations with other comonomers were investigated with the use of both radical and ionic initiators. It is shown that radical polymerization of the monomers gave soluble polymers only at low conversion. Anionic initiators did not initiate polymerization. Cationic polymerization imparted soluble polymers in high yield, except for the monomers bearing cyano groups, which generally gave insoluble polymers. Infrared and NMR spectroscopic investigation of the cationically obtained soluble polymers and comparative investigation by cationic polymerization of model compounds indicated that polymerization of the monomers proceeds through the vinyl double bond without affecting the photosensitive unsaturated bond. Thus, linear photocrosslinkable polymers with an intact photoreactive group may be produced by cationic polymerization. In general, these polymers have uniform structure and modifiable physical properties depending on the monomer used. The polymer thus obtained from β-vinyloxyethyl cinnamate has been shown to have excellent properties for use as a photo-resist.  相似文献
