The phase transition behavior of a thermotropic liquid crystalline poly(aryl ether ketone) synthesized by nucleophilic substitution reactions of 4,4′‐biphenol (BP), and chlorohydroquinone (CH) with 1,4‐bis(4‐fluorobenzoyl)benzene (BF) has been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide angle X‐ray diffraction (WAXD). The copolymer exhibits multiple first order phase transitions, which are associated with crystal‐to‐smectic liquid crystal transition and smectic liquid crystal‐to‐isotropic transition. When the cooling rate is low (< 10°C/min), only stable crystal form I is formed. With the cooling rate being high (>20°C/min), the metastable crystal form II is formed, which always coexists with form I. The liquid crystalline phase plays an important role in the formation of metastable phase form II.  相似文献

This study reports a method to prepare fully aromatic poly(ether ketone) thermosets. The cyclization of 2′,5′‐dimethoxy[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐2,5‐diol and a difluoro monomer was carried out under pseudo high dilution condition. Two types of fully aromatic poly(ether ketone)s with macrocycle were successfully prepared by copolymerization of macrocycle of aryl ether ketone containing hydroxyphenyl groups, 4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol (HFBPA), and 4,4‐difluorobenzophenone. The obtained copolymers have high molecular mass, good solubility, and high glass transition temperatures in the presence of CsF, the crosslinking reaction of copolymers occurred and afforded fully aromatic thermoset poly(aryl ether ketone)s by ring‐opening reaction driven by entropy. After crosslinking, these copolymers show much higher glass transition temperatures, excellent thermal stability, and better mechanical strength. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 一种杂环磺化聚芳醚腈酮质子交换膜材料的合成及表征   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
用含二氮杂萘酮结构类双酚DHPZ,3,3′-二磺酸钠基-4,4′-二氟二苯酮,2,6-二氯苯腈以及4,4′-二氟二苯酮,通过缩合共聚合反应合成了一系列不同磺化度、高分子量的磺化聚芳醚腈酮.聚合物特性粘数为0·58~2·0dL/g.用红外光谱(FT-IR),核磁共振谱(1H-NMR)表征了聚合物结构.用差示扫描量热仪(DSC)和热重分析仪(TGA)研究了聚合物的耐热性能,研究表明其玻璃化温度(Tg)可达352℃,5%热失重温度大于500℃.以N-甲基吡咯烷酮为溶剂,溶液浇铸法制备了聚合物膜,并测定了膜的溶胀率以及质子交换能力.结果表明,与Nafion膜相比,磺化聚芳醚腈酮膜在相同的质子交换能力条件下,溶胀率显著降低.  相似文献

Imide-aryl ether ketone block copolymers were prepared and their morphology and thermal and mechanical properties investigated. Two aryl ether ketone blocks were incorporated; the first was an amorphous block derived from bisphenol–A and the second block was a semi-crystalline poly(aryl ether ether ketone) prepared from a soluble and amorphous ketimine precursor. Bis(amino) aryl ether ketone and aryl ether ketimine oligomers were prepared via a nucleophilic aromaic substitution reaction with molecular weights ranging from 6,000 to 12,000 g/mol. The oligomers were co-reacted with 4,4′-oxydianiline (ODA) and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) diethyl ester diacyl chloride in N-methyl–2-pyrrolidone (NMP) in the presence of N-methylmorpholine. The copolymer compositions, determined by H-NMR, of the resulting amic ester based copolymers ranged from 8 to 50 wt % aryl ether ketone or ketimine content. Prior to imide formation, the ketimine moiety of the aryl ether ketimine block was hydrolyzed (p-toluene sulfonic acid) to the ketone form producing the aryl ether ether ketone block. Compositions of this block were maintained low to retain solubility. Solutions of the copolymers were cast and cured to effect imidization, producing clear films with high moduli (ca. 2200 MPa) and elongations (33–100%). The copolymers displayed good thermal stability with decomposition temperatures in excess of 450°C. Multiphase morphologies were observed irrespective of the co-block type, block length or composition. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

研究了含氟基团的引入对聚醚醚酮(PEEK)的介电常数、溶解性、结晶性和力学性能等的影响.结果表明,这种含氟聚芳醚酮在保持PEEK良好机械性能的条件下,介电常数达到2.7,且频率依赖性小,成膜性能好,成本比相应的含氟PI低5~10倍,有望成为一种极有实用价值的电子封装材料.同时利用合成的含氟单体合成了一系列不同-CF3取代基含量的聚芳醚酮共聚物,研究了聚芳醚酮共聚物的介电常数与聚合物结构单元中-CF3取代基含量的关系.结果表明,聚芳醚酮共聚物的介电常数随聚合物结构单元中-CF3取代基含量的增加而线性降低.  相似文献

The new monomer (4‐(4′‐trifluoromethyl)phenoxyphenyl)hydroquinone (TFPOPH) was synthesized in a three‐step synthesis. A series of poly(aryl ether ketone) copolymers were prepared by the reaction of (4‐(4′‐Trifluoromethyl)phenoxyphenyl)hydroquinone and hydroquinone (HQ) with 4,4′‐difluorobenzophenone (DFB) in the presence of potassium carbonate in tretramethylene sulfone (TMS). Thermal analyses of the fluorinated copolymers showed that the glass transition temperature and 5.0% weight loss temperature are similar with that of PEEK, and the crystallinity decreased with increasing of TFPOPH. For the copolymer synthesized with the molar fraction of TFPOPH in the diphenol monomers (TFPOPH, HQ) being over 0.2, no cold crystallization temperature and melting temperature were detected, indicating that these copolymers are almost amorphous. The crystal structure of the copolymers with the molar fraction of TFPOPH being not higher than 0.2 is rhombic. The solubility in polar aprotic solvents of poly(aryl ether ketone)s copolymers increases and dielectric constant decreases step by step.  相似文献

Novel methyl-substituted aromatic poly (ether sulfone)s and poly (ether ketone)s were synthesized from combinations of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbipheny-4,4′-diol and 2,2′,3,3′,5,5′-hexamethylbiphenyl-4,4′-diol, and 4,4′-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone and 4,4′-difluorobenzo-phenone by nucleophilic aromatic substitution polycondensation. The polycondensations proceeded quantitatively in a N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone-toluene solvent system in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate to afford the polymers with inherent viscosities between 0.86 and 1.55 dL/g. The methyl-substituted poly (ether sulfone)s and poly (ether ketone)s showed good solubility in common organic solvents such as chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, pyridine, m-cresol, and N,N-dimethylacetamide. The tetramethyl- and hexamethyl-substituted aromatic polyethers had higher glass transition temperatures than the corresponding unsubstituted polymers, and did not decompose below 350°C in both air and nitrogen atmospheres. The films of the methyl-substituted poly (ether ketone)s became insoluble in chloroform by the irradiation of ultraviolet light, indicating the occurrence of photochemical crosslinking reactions. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The ability to achieve high molecular weight poly(ether ketone)s from the polycondensation of bis(aryl chloride)s with bis(phenolate)s has been consistently demonstrated. The polymerizations presented here help to delineate for specific bis(aryl chloride)/bisphenolate pairs the reaction conditions required to obtain high molecular weight polymers. Polycondensation of 1,3-bis(4-chlorobenzoyl)-5-tert-butylbenzene ( 6 ) and 2,2′-bis(4-chlorobenzoyl)-biphenyl ( 15 ) with various bisphenolates as well as of 2,2′-bis(4-hydroxyphenoxy)biphenyl ( 33 ) with 4,4′-dichlorobenzophenone ( 41 ) and 1,3-bis(4-chlorobenzoyl)benzene ( 43 ) were used as representative model systems to select reaction conditions that led to high molecular weight polymers. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Novel main chain poly(aryl ether ketone)s containing a lateral phenyl group were synthesized by nucleophilic substitution reactions of 4,4-biphenol and phenylhydroquinone with either 4,4-difluorobenzophenone or 1,4-bis(4-fluorobenzoyl)benzene and their thermotropic liquid crystalline properties were characterized by a variety of experimental techniques. Thermotropic liquid crystalline behaviour was observed in the copolymers containing 50 and 70 mol% biphenol. Melting (Tm) and isotropization (Ti) transitions both appeared on the DSC thermograms. A banded texture was formed after shearing the sample in the liquid crystalline nematic state. As expected, each of the copolymers had a relatively lower melting transition than the biphenol-based homopoly(aryl ether ketone)s because of the copolymerization effect of the crystal-disrupting monomer phenylhydroquinone.  相似文献

The known polymerization of 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone (DFB) with the dianion of hydroquinone to poly(phenylene ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and polymerization of either DFB with the dianion of 4,4′-dihydroxybenzophenone or self polycondensation of the anion of 4-hydroxy-4′-fluoro-benzophenone to poly(phenylene ether ketone) (PEK) were studied in N-cyclohexyl-2-pyrrolidone (CHP), which is a high-boiling aprotic polar solvent. The formation of high-molecular weight PEEK and PEK in this solvent was very efficient. The reactivity in CHP can be ascribed to effective solvation of metal ions rendering the anion very reactive toward nucleophilic substitution. The polymerization was extended to 4,4′-bis(4-fluorobenzoyl)diphenyl ether and 1,4-bis[4-(4-fluorobenzoyl)phenoxy]benzene to give a high molecular weight polymer with PEK and PEEK repeating units and PEEK respectively. The polymerization of DFB with purified anhydrous sodium sulfide in CHP gave rapidly a high molecular weight poly(phenylene ketone sulfide) (PKS). In contrast, diphenyl sulfone (DPS) was not very effective in obtaining such a high molecular weight PKS even with prolonged heating, which suggests the uniqueness of CHP in promoting a high degree of polymerization.  相似文献

Nucleophilic attack by various polyfluoro- and perfluoro-phenoxides upon decafluorobiphenyl, perfluoro-4-methylbiphenyl and perfluoro-4,4′-dimethylbiphenyl in dimethylacetamide solution gave a number of high boiling aryl ethers by mono- and di-substitution. The disodium salt of octafluoro-4-4′-dihydroxybiphenyl with octafluoroanisole in dimethylacetamide gave another aryl ether containing four rings, but the dipotassium salt of hexafluoro-3,3′-dihydroxy-4,4t?-bis(trifluoromethyl)biphenyl (prepared by the action of potassium hydroxide upon perfluoro-4,4′-dimethylbiphenyl) with octafluorotoluene gave a complex mixture of products. A new monomer, 4,4′‐bis(4‐phenoxybenzoyl)diphenyl(BPOBDP), was synthesized via a two‐step synthetic procedure. A series of novel poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone)/poly(ether ketone diphenyl ketone ether ketone ketone) copolymers were prepared by electrophilic Friedel–Crafts solution copolycondensation of isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) with a mixture of 4,4′‐diphenoxydiphenylsulfone (DPODPS) and 4,4′‐bis(4‐phenoxybenzoyl)diphenyl (BPOBDP), in the presence of anhydrous aluminum chloride and N‐methylpyrrolidone (NMP) in 1,2‐dichloroethane (DCE). The copolymers with 10–50 mol% DPODPS are semicrystalline and have remarkably increased Tgs over commercially available PEEK and PEKK. The copolymers with 40–50 mol% DPODPS had not only high Tgs of 170–172°C, but also moderate Tms of 326–333°C, which are extremely suitable for melt processing. These copolymers have tensile strengths of 96.5–108.1 MPa, Young's moduli of 1.98–3.05 GPa, and elongations at break of 13–26% and exhibit excellent thermal stability and good resistance to acidity, alkali, and common organic solvents. A series of poly(aryl ether-bissulfone)s were synthesized from bis-phenols, 4,4′-bis(4-chlorophenylsulfonyl)biphenyl, and 4,4′-bis(4-fluorophenylsulfonyl)biphenyl. The bishalide monomers were synthesized by reaction of 4,4′-bis(chlorosulfonyl)biphenyl with a suitable aryl halide. Potassium carbonate mediated reaction in di-methylacetamide gave high molecular weight polymers in excellent yield. The polymers are soluble in dipolar aprotic solvents. Unlike the corresponding monosulfone analogues, the poly(aryl ether-bissulfone)s exhibited poor solubility in chlorinated hydrocarbons. The glass transition temperatures of the polymers are among the highest known for poly(aryl ether)s (241-271 °C). In addition, the polymers exhibit excellent thermal stability and they produce clear, colorless tough films by solution casting or compression molding.  相似文献
