Quenching of the 3MLCT excited state of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=bipyridine) by the reduction products (MV*+ and MV0) of methyl viologen (MV2+) was studied by a combination of electrochemistry with laser flash photolysis or femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy. Both for the bimolecular reactions and for the reactions in an Ru(bpy)3(2+)-MVn+ dyad, quenching by MV*+ and MV0 is reductive and gives the reduced ruthenium complex [Ru(bpy)3]+, in contrast to the oxidative quenching by MV2+. Rate constants of quenching (kq), and thermal charge recombination (krec) and cage escape yields (phi(ce)) were determined for the bimolecular reactions, and rates of forward (kf) and backward (kb) electron transfer in the dyad were measured for quenching by MV2+, MV*+, and MV0. The reactions in the dyad are very rapid, with values up to kf = 1.3 x 10(12) s(-1) for *Ru(bpy)3(2+)-MV*+. In addition, a long-lived (tau = 15 ps) vibrationally excited state of MV*+ with a characteristically structured absorption spectrum was detected; this was generated by direct excitation of the MV*+ moiety both at 460 and 600 nm. The results show that the direction of photoinduced electron transfer in a Ru(bpy)3-MV molecule can be switched by an externally applied bias.  相似文献

K(+)-exchanged, Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-encapsulating zeolite-Y [K(+)-Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)Y] and N-[3-(dicyclohexylmethyl)oxypropyl-N'-methyl-4,4'-bipyridinium [DCH-MV(2+)] were prepared, and visible light-induced electron transfer from the zeolite-encapsulated Ru(II) complex to the size-excluded viologen was studied in acetonitrile. Addition of a series of crown ethers (CEs) into the heterogeneous solution leads to over a 10-fold increase in the yield of DCH-MV(*)(+), where the yield linearly increases as the formation constant of CE with K(+) [K(f)(K(+))(CE)] increases. The following two sequential events are attributed to be responsible for the above novel phenomenon. First, K(+) ions are liberated from the zeolite to solution during interfacial electron transfer from the photoexcited Ru(II) complexes to DCH-MV(2+). Second, the liberated K(+) ions form strong host-guest complexes with the added CE molecules, which leads to retardation of the reverse flow of the cations, hence the charge-balancing electrons, from the solution to the zeolite. Surprisingly, the yield of DCH-MV(*)(+) reaches more than approximately 50 times the amount of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) situated in the outermost supercages, despite the absence of electron relay in the zeolite. This is attributed to photosensitized electron pumping from the zeolite framework to viologen by the outermost Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) ions. In support of the above conclusion, Ru(bpy)(3)(3+) does not accumulate in the zeolite host while DCH-MV(*)(+) accumulates in the supernatant solution. Consistent with the above, the independently prepared hexafluorophosphate salt of Ru(bpy)(3)(3+) is reduced to Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) in acetonitrile upon contact with Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-free M(+)Y (M(+) = Li(+), Na(+), K(+), Rb(+), and Cs(+)), where the yield increases as the donor strength of the framework oxygen increases. Although small, thermal electron transfer also takes place from the zeolite framework to DCH-MV(2+), where the yield increases upon increasing the donor strength of the framework, concentration of DCH-MV(2+), temperature, and K(f)(K(+))(CE) (when K(+)Y is the zeolite host). The photoyield is always higher than the thermal yield by 4-30 times, confirming that the zeolite-encapsulated Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) serves as the photosensitized electron pump.  相似文献

The spectroscopic and photophysical properties of zeolite-Y-entrapped [Ru(bpy)3]2+ co-doped with either [Fe(bpy)3]2+ or [Fe(tpy)2]2+ over a range of iron complex loadings are presented. In solution, [Ru(bpy)3]2+ undergoes efficient bimolecular energy transfer to [Fe(bpy)3]2+, whereas only radiative or trivial energy transfer occurs between [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+. In sharp contrast, within zeolite Y, both [Fe(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+ were found to effectively quench the donor emission. Fitting the Perrin model to the photophysical data yields an effective quenching radius of 32 and 27 A, respectively, for [Fe(bpy)3]2+ and [Fe(tpy)2]2+. The long-range nature of the quenching suggests F?rster energy transfer. Detailed spectroscopic investigations indicate that [Fe(tpy)2]2+ bound within zeolite Y undergoes significant distortion from octahedral geometry. This distortion results in increased oscillator strength and enhanced spectral overlap, between the [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (3)d pi-pi* donor emission and the co-incident acceptor (1)T2-(1)A1 ligand field absorption compared with solution. This turns on an efficient energy transfer to [Fe(tpy)2]2+ within the confinement of the zeolite Y supercage. Overall, this is an interesting example of the ability of the zeolite environment to provoke new photophysical processes not possible in solution.  相似文献

Synthesis of the ionic dye, tris(2,2'-bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) chloride (Ru(bpy) 3 2+.2Cl (-)) within the supercages of a highly hydrophobic zeolite Y is reported. Use of the neutral precursor Ru(bpy)Cl 2(CO) 2 allowed for high loading levels of Ru(bpy) 3 2+ (1 per 7 and 25 supercages). The emission quenching of the Ru(bpy) 3 2+-zeolite crystals dispersed in polydimethoxysiloxane (PDMS) films by dissolved oxygen in water was examined. The quenching data as a function of oxygen concentration was fit to a linear Stern-Volmer plot ( R2 = 0.98). Using the Stern-Volmer plot as calibration, changes in concentration of dissolved oxygen due to reaction with glucose in the presence of glucose oxidase was monitored. Human monocyte-derived macrophages internalized the submicron-sized Ru(bpy) 3 2+-zeolite crystals, and intracellular oxygen concentrations initiated by zymosan-mediated oxidative burst could be monitored by measuring the emission from Ru(bpy) 3 2+ by confocal fluorescence microscopy.  相似文献

The effects of electron withdrawing and electron donating groups on the electrochemiluminescent (ECL) properties of tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)3(2+) where bpy = 2,2'-pyridine) are reported. The electrochemistry, photophysics and ECL of (bpy)2Ru(DC-bpy)2+, and (bpy)2Ru(DM-bpy)2+ (DC = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine; DM = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine) have been studied relative to Ru(bpy)3(2+) in 50:50 (v/v) acetonitrile(CH3CN):H2O (0.1 M KH2PO4), and aqueous solutions. Furthermore, the effects of Triton X-100 (polyethylene glycol tert-octylphenyl ether) on the electrochemical, spectroscopic and ECL properties of these compounds are reported. The anodic oxidation of Ru(bpy)3(2+), (bpy)2Ru(DC-bpy)2+, and (bpy)2Ru(DM-bpy)2+ produces ECL in the presence of tri-n-propylamine (TPrA) in all solvent systems. ECL efficiencies (phi(ecl), photons produced per redox event) of 0.73 and 0.84 for (bpy)2Ru(DC-bpy)2+, and (bpy)2Ru(DM-bpy)2+ were obtained in aqueous buffered solution, using Ru(bpy)3(2+) as a relative standard (phi(ecl) = 1.0). Addition of 0.4 mM Triton X-100 results in a greater than 2-fold increase in ECL efficiences (i.e., 3.8, 2.4 and 2.3 for Ru(bpy)3(2+), (bpy)2Ru(DC-bpy)2+, and (bpy)2Ru(DM-bpy)2+, respectively) using aqueous Ru(bpy)3(2+) containing no surfactant as standard (phi(ecl) = 1.0). ECL efficiencies of 27.4, 16.5 and 26.1 were found in 50:50 (v/v) CH3CN:H2O (0.1 M KH2PO4) for Ru(bpy)3(2+), (bpy)2Ru(DC-bpy)2+, and (bpy)2Ru(DM-bpy)2+, respectively, using aqueous Ru(bpy)3(2+) containing no surfactant as standard (phi(ecl) = 1.0). Detailed studies support adsorption of surfactant on the electrode surface, thus facilitating TPrA and ruthenium oxidation.  相似文献

An organized molecular assembly composed of two ruthenium polypyridine complexes, Ru(bpy)(2)(bpz)(2+) and Ru(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(2+) (where bpy = 2, 2'-bipyridine and bpz = 2, 2'-bipyrazine), has been prepared in adjacent supercages of Y-zeolite. This material has been characterized by diffuse reflectance, electronic absorption, electronic emission, and resonance Raman (RR) spectroscopy, as well as lifetime measurements. The spectral results confirm the identity of the entrapped complexes and resonance Raman measurements show that the relative concentrations of the two complexes within the zeolite particles are identical. A dramatic decrease in emission intensity observed for the adjacent cage assembly, relative to that observed for an appropriate reference material composed of a mixture of zeolite particles containing the separated complexes, indicates strong interaction between the adjacent complexes which provides an additional nonradiative decay pathway. The excited state lifetime measurements implicate a very short-lived component, dominating the decay curve at early times, which is most reasonably attributed to excited-state electron-transfer quenching of the adjacent cage pair. More importantly, analysis of diffuse reflectance spectra acquired during selective (sensitizer) irradiation of a sample of this material, wherein the remaining cages are filled with a suitable acceptor (MV(2+)), provides direct evidence for oxidation of the Ru(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(2+) donor complex, confirming the targeted synergy of the adjacent cage assembly.  相似文献

The adsorption of tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) ([Ru(bpy)(3)]2+) complex cation into modified mesoporous silicas was investigated. In order to immobilize [Ru(bpy)(3)]2+, the mesopore surface was modified with sulfonic acid groups by the reactions between MCM-41 and phenethyl(dichloro)methylsilane and the subsequent sulfonation of the attached phenethyl groups with chlorosulfonic acid. The modified mesoporous silicas effectively adsorbed [Ru(bpy)(3)]2+ from ethanol solution. It was thought that the effective adsorption was the cause of the cooperative effects of the electrostatic interactions between [Ru(bpy)(3)]2+ cation and sulfonic acid group and the interactions between the phenyl rings on the mesopore surface and the bipyridine rings of the complex. The variation of the position and the intensity of the luminescence of [Ru(bpy)(3)]2+ suggested that the average distance between the adjacent [Ru(bpy)(3)]2+ changed with the loading amounts.  相似文献

Ionic liquids are suitable media which stabilize charged intermediates favoring those mechanisms that occur through charge separation. We have used ionic liquids to develop a photocatalytic system to perform the reduction of a carbonyl group to alcohol, thus mimicking the behavior of the reductase enzymes. The photochemical cycle is based on the well-known electron transfer from the Ru(bpy)(3)2+ complex in its excited state, acting as electron donor to MV2+, which acts as electron acceptor. The initial electron transfer process can be promoted upon selective Ru(bpy)(3)2+ excitation by visible light. By means of laser flash photolysis we have provided evidence of the nature and lifetimes of the intermediates involved in the photocatalytic system. Thus, the initial electron transfer between Ru(bpy)(3)2+ triplets and viologen MV2+ forms the MV*+ radical cation, which upon accepting an H* atom from a suitable hydrogen atom donor, forms the corresponding dihydropyridine MVH+ reducing agent.  相似文献

Amidate-bridged diplatinum(II) entities [Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-amidato)(2)](2+) (amidate = pivalamidate and/or benzamidate; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) were covalently linked to one or two Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-type derivatives. An amide group was introduced at the periphery of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) derivatives to give metalloamide precursors [Ru(bpy)(2)(BnH)](2+) (abbreviated as RuBnH, n = 1 and 2), where deprotonation of amide BnH affords the corresponding amidate Bn, B1H = 4-(4-carbamoylphenyl)-2,2'-bipyridine, and B2H = ethyl 4'-[N-(4-carbamoylphenyl)carbamoyl]-2,2'-bipyridine-4-carboxylate. From a 1:1:1 reaction of [Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-OH)(2)](NO(3))(2), RuBnH, and pivalamide, trinuclear complexes [Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-RuBn)(μ-pivalamidato)](4+) (abbreviated as RuBn-Pt(2)) were isolated and characterized. Tetranuclear complexes [Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-RuBn)(2)](6+) (abbreviated as (RuBn)(2)-Pt(2)) were separately prepared and characterized in detail. The quenching of the triplet excited state of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) derivative (i.e., Ru*(bpy)(3)(2+)) upon tethering the Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-amidato)(2)(2+) moiety is strongly enhanced in RuB1-Pt(2) and (RuB1)(2)-Pt(2), while it is only slightly enhanced in RuB2-Pt(2) and (RuB2)(2)-Pt(2). These are partly explained by the driving forces for the electron transfer from the Ru*(bpy)(3)(2+) moiety to the Pt(2)(bpy)(2)(μ-amidato)(2)(2+) moiety (ΔG°(ET)); the ΔG°(ET) values for RuB1-Pt(2), (RuB1)(2)-Pt(2), RuB2-Pt(2), and (RuB2)(2)-Pt(2) are estimated as -0.01, 0.00, +0.22, and +0.28 eV, respectively. The considerable difference in the photochemical properties of the B1- and B2-bridged systems were further examined based on the emission decay and transient absorption measurements, which gave results consistent with the above conclusions.  相似文献

Crystallographically characterised 3,6-bis(2'-pyridyl)pyridazine (L) forms complexes with {(acac)2Ru} or {(bpy)2Ru2+}via one pyridyl-N/pyridazyl-N chelate site in mononuclear Ru(II) complexes (acac)2Ru(L), 1, and [(bpy)2Ru(L)](ClO4)2, [3](ClO4)2. Coordination of a second metal complex fragment is accompanied by deprotonation at the pyridazyl-C5 carbon {L --> (L - H+)-} to yield cyclometallated, asymmetrically bridged dinuclear complexes [(acac)2Ru(III)(mu-L - H+)Ru(III)(acac)2](ClO4), [2](ClO4), and [(bpy)2Ru(II)(mu-L - H+)Ru(II)(bpy)2](ClO4)3, [4](ClO4)3. The different electronic characteristics of the co-ligands, sigma donating acac- and pi accepting bpy, cause a wide variation in metal redox potentials which facilitates the isolation of the diruthenium(III) form in [2](ClO4) with antiferromagnetically coupled Ru(III) centres (J = -11.5 cm(-1)) and of a luminescent diruthenium(II) species in [4](ClO4)3. The electrogenerated mixed-valent Ru(II)Ru(III) states 2 and [4]4+ with comproportionation constants Kc > 10(8) are assumed to be localised with the Ru(III) ion bonded via the negatively charged pyridyl-N/pyridazyl-C5 chelate site of the bridging (L - H+)- ligand. In spectroelectrochemical experiments they show similar intervalence charge transfer bands of moderate intensity around 1300 nm and comparable g anisotropies (g1-g3 approximatly 0.5) in the EPR spectra. However, the individual g tensor components are distinctly higher for the pi acceptor ligated system [4]4+, signifying stabilised metal d orbitals.  相似文献

Photolysis of Ru(bpy)(2)(en)(2+) and Ru(bpy)(2)(tn)(2+), where bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, en = ethylenediamine, and tn = 1,3-propylenediamine, was studied in acetonitrile using on-line electrospray mass spectrometry (ES-MS). These complexes are known to undergo a four-electron oxidation photochemically, giving the alpha,alpha'-diimine complexes. The monoimine complexes involved in this stepwise process were detectable after photoirradiation (lambda >420 nm). Also, new ligand-oxidized complexes Ru(bpy)(2)(en+14)(2+) and Ru(bpy)(2)(tn+14)(2+) were observed together with photosubstitution products such as Ru(bpy)(2)(AN)(2)(2+) and Ru(bpy)(2)(AN)(2)X(+) (AN = acetonitrile). The notation (en+14) and (tn+14) represents loss of two hydrogen atoms and addition of an oxygen atom to the en and tn ligands. Photosubstitution intermediates with the monodentate diamine, Ru(bpy)(2)(tn)(AN)(2+) and Ru(bpy)(2)(tn)(AN)X(+), were detected in the ES mass spectrum of the tn complex but not in that of the en complex. Other photosubstituted intermediates with the monodentate (en+14) and (tn+14) ligands were detected by on-line mass analysis. The electrospray technique combined with use of a flow-through photoreaction cell was shown to be a useful tool for studying photolysis of inorganic metal complexes.  相似文献

Directed self-assembly using inorganic coordination chemistry is an attractive approach for making functional supramolecular structures. In this article, the synthesis and characterization of Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) compounds derivatized with aminoethylglycine (aeg) substituents containing pendant bipyridine (bpy) ligands is presented. The free bpy ligands in these complexes are available for metal chelation to form coordinative cross-links; addition of Cu (2+) or Zn (2+) assembles heterometallic structures containing two or three transition-metal complexes. Control over relative placement of metal complexes is accomplished using two strategies: two bipyridine-containing aeg strands tethered to Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) allow intramolecular coordination and result in a dimetallic hairpin motif. Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) modified with a single strand forms intermolecular cross-links forming the trimetallic complex. Each of these is characterized by a range of methods, and their photophysical properties are compared. These data, and comparison to an acetyl aeg- modified Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) complex, confirm that the metal ions cross-link bpy-containing aeg strands. Heterometallic complexes containing bound Cu (2+) cause a dramatic reduction in the Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) quantum yields and lifetimes. In contrast, the Ru(bpy) 3 (2+) hairpin with coordinated Zn (2+) has only a slight decrease in quantum yield but no change in lifetime, which could be a result of steric impacts on structure in the dimetallic species. Analogous effects are not observed in the trimetallic Ru-Zn-Ru structures in which this constraint is absent. Each of these heterometallic structures represents a facile and reconfigurable means to construct multimetallic structures by metal-coordination-based self-assembly of modular artificial peptide units.

An electrochemically stable monolayer of tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) was obtained for the first time. It was based on the electrostatic attachment of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) to the benzene sulfonic acid monolayer film, which was covalently bound onto glassy carbon electrode by the electrochemical reduction of diazobenzene sulfonic acid. The surface-confined Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) underwent reversible surface process, and reacted with the coreactant, tripropylamine, to produce electrochemiluminescence. In view of the stability of the electrode, the results strongly suggested that light was emitted from the surface-confined Ru(bpy)(3)(2+), not from the detached Ru(bpy)(3)(2+). The Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) modified electrode was used to the determination of tripropylamine. It showed good linearity in the concentration range from 5 muM to 1 mM with a detection limit of 1 muM (S/N=4). The good stability of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) modified electrode also showed that the benzene sulfonic acid monolayer film prepared can be served as an excellent support to construct multilayers.  相似文献

A unique multilabeling at a single-site protocol of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) electrochemiluminescence (ECL) system is proposed. Nanoparticles (NPs) were used as assembly substrates to enrich ECL co-reactants of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) to construct nanoscale-enhanced ECL labels. Two different kinds of NP substrates [including semiconductor NPs (CdTe) and noble metal NPs (gold)] capped with 2-(dimethylamino)ethanethiol (DMAET) [a tertiary amine derivative which is believed to be one of the most efficient of co-reactants of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) system] were synthesized through a simple one-pot synthesis method in aqueous media. Although both CdTe and gold NPs realized the enrichment of ECL co-reactants, they presented entirely different ECL performances as nanoscale ECL co-reactants of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+). The different effects of these two NPs on the ECL of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) were studied. DMAET-capped CdTe NPs showed enormous signal amplification of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) ECL, whereas DMAET-capped gold NPs showed a slight quenching effect of the ECL signal. DMAET-capped CdTe NPs can be considered to be excellent nanoscale ECL labels of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) system, as even a NP solution sample of 10(-18) M was still detectable after an electrostatic self-assembly concentration process. DMAET-capped CdTe NPs were further applied in the construction of aptamer-based biosensing system for proteins and encouraging results were obtained.  相似文献

Intermolecular electron and energy transfer from a light-harvesting metallodendrimer [Ru[bpy(C-450)(4)](3)](2+), where bpy(C-450)(4) is a 2,2'-bipyridine derivative containing 4 coumarin-450 units connected together through aryl ether linkages, is observed in acetonitrile solutions at room temperature. The model complex [Ru(dmb)(3)](2+), where dmb is 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine, is included for quantitative comparison. The excited states of both compounds are metal-to-ligand charge transfer in nature and participate in excited-state electron and triplet energy transfer processes. Quenching constants were determined from luminescence and time-resolved absorption experiments at constant ionic strength. [Ru[bpy(C-450)(4)](3)](2+) displays significantly slower quenching rates to molecular oxygen and methyl viologen relative to the other processes investigated. Triplet energy transfer from [Ru[bpy(C-450)(4)](3)](2+) to 9-methylanthracene is quantitatively indistinguishable from [Ru(dmb)(3)](2+) while reductive electron transfer from phenothiazine was slightly faster in the former. With the exception of dioxygen quenching, our results indicate that the current dendritic structure is ineffective in shielding the core from bimolecular electron and triplet energy transfer reactions. Electrochemical measurements of [Ru[bpy(C-450)(4)](3)](2+) reveal irreversible oxidative processes at potentials slightly negative to the Ru(III/II) potential that are assigned to oxidations in the dendritic structure. Excited-state oxidative electron-transfer reactions facilitate this process resulting in the reduction of ground-state Ru(III) to Ru(II) and the trapping of the methyl viologen radical cation (MV(*+)) when methyl viologen serves as the quencher. This process generates a minimum of 9 MV(*+)'s for every [Ru[bpy(C-450)(4)](3)](2+) molecule and disassembles the metallodendrimer, resulting in the production of a [Ru(dmb)(3)](2+)-like species and "free" C-450-like dyes.  相似文献

This paper reports a novel detection method for DNA hybridization based on the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) with a DNA-binding intercalator as a reductant of Ru(bpy)(3)(3+). Some ECL-inducible intercalators have been screened in this study using electrochemical methods combined with a chemiluminescent technique. The double-stranded DNA intercalated by doxorubicin, daunorubicin, or 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) shows a good ECL with Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) at +1.19 V (versus Ag/AgCl), while the non-intercalated single-stranded DNA does not. In order to stabilize the self-assembled DNA molecules during ECL reaction, we constructed the ECL DNA biosensor separating the ECL working electrode with an immobilized DNA probe. A gold electrode array on a plastic plate was assembled with a thru-hole array where oligonucleotide probes were immobilized in the side wall of thru-hole array. The fabricated ECL DNA biosensor was used to detect several pathogens using ECL technique. A good specificity of single point mutations for hepatitis disease was obtained by using the DAPI-intercalated Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) ECL.  相似文献

A novel effective co-reactant for electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) has been found. Alpha-position-dialkylated thiophene derivatives such as 2,5-dimethylthiophene (DMT) could be used as a co-reactant for Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) ECL. The reaction mechanism of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)/DMT system was proposed on the basis of the identification of the reaction product, the relationship between the molecular structure and the chemiluminescent intensity, and the electrochemical study. The obtained reaction mechanism was similar to that of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)/aliphatic tertiary amine system. Based on these results, the preliminary studies of the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) ECL detection system using DMT as a co-reactant were performed. Under the optimal ECL conditions, the plot of ECL intensity versus the concentration of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) was linear over the concentration range 1.0x10(-8) to 1.5x10(-7) M (determination coefficient=0.9996).  相似文献

The complex [Ru(bpy)(AN)4]2+ (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridyl, AN = acetonitrile) has a Ru(II) --> pi(*)(bpy) MLCT band at 388 nm. Upon irradiation on this absorption band, the compound undergoes total regioselective photocleavage yielding complexes fac-[Ru(bpy)(AN)(3)(H(2)O)](2+) and trans-[Ru(bpy)(AN)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) in two consecutive steps with quantum yields of 0.43 and 0.09, respectively. This behavior is a consequence of the stronger sigma-donor ability of the bpy nitrogens that determines the orbital ordering and therefore the nature of the lowest lying 3d-d state responsible for the photochemistry. The two-step photoreaction, which can be followed by UV-vis and NMR spectra, provides a quantitative path to the preparation of trans-polypyridine species with potentially interesting photochemical properties.  相似文献

A unique guest-guest ion exchange method was developed for preparing a thin film of a nano-layered K(4)Nb(6)O(17).3H(2)O that possesses both (1) optical transparency and (2) ion-exchangeability under ambient conditions without calcination at high temperature. An optically transparent Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-K(4)Nb(6)O(17) hybrid thin film, a photoresponsive electrode, was successfully prepared by the guest-guest exchange method by use of the intercalation compound MV(2+)-K(4)Nb(6)O(17) as a precursor. The optically transparent Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-K(4)Nb(6)O(17) hybrid thin films have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, SEM, AFM, IR, and UV spectroscopies, as well as elemental analysis. The electrochemical behavior of the ITO/Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-K(4)Nb(6)O(17) hybrid thin film electrode was studied; it also exhibits swift photoresponse in the visible region.  相似文献
