A large, flat ultrasonic transmitter and a small receiver are developed for studies of material properties in acoustic transmission goniometry. While the character of the wave field produced by the transmitter can be considered as a plane wave as observed by the receiver, diffraction effects are noticeable near critical angles and result in the appearance of weak but detectable arrivals. Transmitted ultrasonic waveforms are acquired in one elastic silicate glass and two visco-elastic acrylic glass sample plates as a function of the angle of incidence. Phase velocities are determined from modeling of the shape of curves of the observed arrival times versus angle of incidence. The waveform observations are modeled using a phase propagation technique that incorporates full wave behavior including attenuation. Subtle diffraction effects are captured in addition to the main bounded pulse propagation. The full propagation modeling allows for various arrivals to be unambiguously interpreted. The results of the plane wave solution are close to the full wave propagation modeling without any corrections to the observed wave field. This is an advantage as it places confidence that later analyses can use simpler plane wave solutions without the need for additional diffraction corrections. A further advantage is that the uniform bounded acoustic pulse allows for the detection of weak arrivals such as a low energy edge diffraction observed in our experiments.  相似文献

采用超声水浸聚焦斜入射方式进行小棒材表面、近表缺陷检测时,声波在水/棒和棒/缺陷界面会发生反射、折射、散射、衍射及波形转换等一系列物理变换。此时缺陷可检性对声波入射条件十分敏感,常出现由于检测条件设置不当而导致缺陷漏检、误检的情况。为解决这一问题,本文针对小棒材超声斜入射检测中的主要参数——入射角和水距,开展声场及缺陷声响应仿真,研究检测参数对不同部位缺陷检测能力的影响,并对仿真结果进行试验验证。通过研究得到了检测水距、入射角度对缺陷检测能力的影响,并得到最优检测条件。试验验证结果表明研究制定的检测方案可有效检测出表面、近表面裂纹缺陷。  相似文献

The theoretical investigation is developed for the phenomenon of second-harmonic (SH) generation by a p-polarized laser pulse at oblique incidence on a vacuum-plasma interface. We considered the simultaneous SH generation inside the plasma as well as vacuum due to the reflected component of the laser pulse. The results approved that the SH conversion efficiency drastically increases, for both transmitted and reflected components, when the incident angle approaches to its critical value. We found that the maximum SH efficiency is greater for transmitted component, however, the reflected component is more proper for technical and experimental applications.  相似文献

波导杆技术是一种有效的超声辅助检测方法,在提升高温关键承压设备安全运行方面具有重要作用。现有的波导换能器因直入式发射声波,常被用来在线监测壁厚的腐蚀进程,难以对指定方向的缺陷进行有效检测。为了解决这个难题,基于斯涅耳定理以及导波的频散特性提出了一种弯折结构的波导杆来实现超声斜入射。首先分析了弯折波导杆中水平剪切波的传播特性,探究了波导杆的厚度、弯折角度对杆中声波传播的影响规律;然后,进一步研究了弯折波导杆在半无限空间内的声束指向性;最后通过一对弯折波导杆在线检测结构内部缺陷的试验证明了波导超声斜入射的应用价值。研究结果为基于斜入射技术的波导超声在线监测提供了坚实的理论基础。  相似文献

A theoretical study of the reflection of a bounded Gaussian ultrasonic beam, incident onto a rectangular inclusion located near a fluid/solid half-space interface, is presented. The thickness of the inclusion is assumed to be much smaller than the ultrasonic wavelength in the solid. It is shown that, at critical Rayleigh angle incidence, the phase in the point of maximum amplitude of the shifted reflected lobe is very sensitive to dimension variations of the inclusion, and thus useful for inclusion characterization. 为了提高圆柱体缺陷检测的准确性,需了解其超声声场分布。针对圆柱体实际检测的要求,本文采用超声水浸检测法。通过多元高斯声束模型分别模拟了实心圆柱体及空心圆柱体中的辐射声场,计算仿真了垂直入射与倾斜入射至圆柱体时的声场,实现了检测声场的可视化。通过计算得出仿真结构与实际理论相符,表明本论文的方法能够应用在圆柱体结构超声声场仿真中。  相似文献

In this paper, we have presented and established a new theoretical formulation of photon optics based on photon path and Feynman path integral idea. We have used Feynman path integral approach to discuss Fraunhofer, Fresnel diffraction of single photon and entangled photon pairs by ultrasonic wave and obtained the following results: i) quantum state and probability distribution of single photon and entangled photon pairs by Fraunhofer and Fresnel ultrasonic diffraction, ii) oblique incidence Raman-Nath and Bragg diffraction conditions, iii) total correlation state and its probability distribution. Our calculation results are in agreement with the experiment results. Comparing one-photon and two-photon diffraction effects by ultrasonic waves, we have found that two-photon diffraction by ultrasonic waves is also a sub-wavelength diffraction.  相似文献

The present work is related to the characterization of air-saturated porous media by using parametric demodulated ultrasonic waves. One uses two different powerful ultrasonic emitters working either at 47 kHz or at 162 kHz which are electronically amplitude modulated over the 200 Hz-4 kHz or 2 kHz-40 kHz bandwidths respectively. The demodulation process takes place in air, due to its nonlinearity enabling to generate audio range acoustical waves or alternatively low frequency ultrasonic waves which can be used to characterize porous materials in the reflection configuration at normal incidence. Some appropriate theoretical calculations are introduced for three configurations of interest, i.e. a porous slab, a porous layer mounted onto a rigid plate, and a porous half space, in the case of the equivalent-fluid model. Comparisons between theoretical modeling and experimental data are provided and prospective industrial applications are discussed.  相似文献

The Ising model was introduced in 1920 to describe a uniaxial system of magnetic moments, localized on a lattice, interacting via nearest-neighbour exchange interaction. It is the generic model for a continuous phase transition and arguably the most studied model in theoretical physics. Since it was solved for a two-dimensional lattice by Onsager in 1944, thereby representing one of the very few exactly solvable models in dimensions higher than one, it has served as a testing ground for new developments in analytic treatment and numerical algorithms. Only series expansions and numerical approaches, such as Monte Carlo simulations, are available in three dimensions. This review focuses on Monte Carlo simulation. We build upon a data set of unprecedented size. A great number of quantities of the model are estimated near the critical coupling. We present both a conventional analysis and an analysis in terms of a Puiseux series for the critical exponents. The former gives distinct values of the high- and low-temperature exponents; by means of the latter we can get these exponents to be equal at the cost of having true asymptotic behaviour being found only extremely close to the critical point. The consequences of this for simulations of lattice systems are discussed at length.  相似文献

Depolarization is herein investigated for urban radio propagation. First, a theoretical study on some fundamental depolarizing mechanisms along one path, involving single and double reflection as well as wedge diffraction, is presented. Significant parameters impacting on XPR (cross polarization ratio) as the oblique incidence angle on walls or streets orientation with regards to the transmitter–receiver axis are studied thanks to simple theoretical models.XPR is also analyzed using deterministic propagation simulations in a realistic typical urban environment. The conclusions drawn in the theoretical study for single phenomena are also observed at the scale of several streets combining several paths: XPR decreases in proportion to these parameters change. These observations have been confirmed by polarimetric measurements conducted in Tokyo which are given in the last part.  相似文献

Gas pressure welding for jointing of reinforcing steel bars is most commonly used in Japan and the Far Eastern regions, where there are frequent earthquakes. An ultrasonic testing method has been developed for gas pressure welded joints. An intrinsic feature of the ultrasonic testing method is that there is a correlation between the ultrasonic testing results and the mechanical property (tensile strength) of joints. This feature enables non-destructive detection of gas pressure welded joints with tensile strength below a reference value. The theoretical justification for the correlation between the ultrasonic testing results and the tensile strength of the joints is discussed.  相似文献

The conventional acoustic nonlinear technique to evaluate the contact acoustic nonlinearity (CAN) at solid-solid contact interfaces (e.g., closed cracks), which uses the through-transmission of normally incident bulk waves, is limited in that access to both the inner and outer surfaces of structures for attaching pulsing and receiving transducers is difficult. The angle beam incidence and reflection technique, where both the pulsing and receiving transducers are located on the same side of the target, may allow the above problem to be overcome. However, in the angle incidence technique, mode-conversion at the contact interfaces as well as the normal and tangential interface stiffness should be taken into account. Based on the linear and nonlinear contact stiffness, we propose a theoretical model for the reflection of an ultrasonic wave angularly incident on contact interfaces. In addition, the magnitude of the CAN-induced second harmonic wave in the reflected ultrasonic wave is predicted. Experimental results obtained for the contact interfaces of A16061-T6 alloy specimens at various loading pressures showed good agreement with theoretical predictions. Such agreement proves the validity of the suggested oblique incidence model.  相似文献

超声背散射法可通过多晶体金属内部的空间方差信号,实现微观结构参数的无损评价,但表面粗糙度对评价模型的精度及实用性存在显著影响.基于高斯声束理论推导垂直入射粗糙界面的纵波声场,以此研究声能的Wigner分布规律;在超声的波长远大于粗糙度的前提下,构造表面粗糙度修正系数,并建立粗糙界面的单次散射响应模型,揭示粗糙度对超声波背向散射的影响规律.用304不锈钢制备轮廓均方根值为0.159μm的光滑试块和25.722μm的粗糙试块开展超声背散射实验,结果表明模型在粗糙度修正前后均可实现光滑试块的晶粒尺寸有效评价,但未经修正的传统模型对粗糙试块的晶粒尺寸评价结果与金相法结果的相对误差高达-21.35%,而本模型的评价结果与金相法结果符合得很好,相对误差仅为1.35%.可见,本模型能有效补偿粗糙度引起的超声背散射信号衰减,从而提高晶粒尺寸无损评价的精度.  相似文献

Between 200 kHz and 500 MHz, the ultrasonic attenuation spectrum of the ethanol/dodecane mixture of critical composition has been measured at various temperatures near the critical one. The measured broadband spectra are evaluated in light of the Ferrell-Bhattacharjee dynamic scaling theory. The experimental findings largely fit the theoretical spectral function if suitable crossover corrections are made using dynamic light-scattering data. The measured scaling function follows the predictions of the recent Folk-Moser renormalization-group theory even better. Combining our ultrasonic attenuation coefficient data with density data from the literature, the asymptotic critical behavior of the thermal expansion coefficient and of the specific heat has been determined and found consistent with the two-scale factor universality. The sonic attenuation data have also been evaluated to yield the adiabatic coupling constant g of the dynamic scaling theory. The unusually small absolute value |g|=0.1 resulted, in fairly good agreement with |g|=0.13 as following from thermodynamic data.  相似文献

In this work, we propose a study dedicated to the influence of the delay line nature in transverse ultrasonic sensors, dedicated to dynamic high frequency elastic moduli of viscoelastic materials estimation. In literature, these shear ultrasonic rheometers are using delay lines in glass or quartz and normal or oblique incidence of ultrasonic rays. The oblique incidence is used in order to improve the sensitivity of the measurements. We theoretically demonstrate in this work that the use of delay lines in polymers is recommended to improve the sensitivity. Due to modifications, performed on a 10 MHz commercial ultrasonic sensor, we experimentally show on glycerin (which is a Newtonian material) that it is possible to multiply by a factor 10 the sensitivity; compared to delay lines in quartz using a normal incidence of rays. Hence, we overpass the accuracy of the oblique incidence approach with a simpler experimental setup.  相似文献

为研究微烧蚀状态下圆形光斑斜入射时激光超声声场的指向性,使用脉冲激光辐照半圆柱形铝质工件表面,并使用压电探头和电磁超声探头分别接收纵波和横波信号。根据速度参数确定了超声信号的类型,提取了信号的峰-峰值,并绘制出声场指向性曲线。通过分析获得以下结论:激光斜入射角度在0~60°范围内变化时,纵波声场的声束轴线方向保持不变,且与工件内法线平行;另外,横波声场的峰-峰值仍然在±35°的方向上取最大值,但是横波指向图形的主瓣易受激光入射方向的影响,当倾斜角度大于等于45°时,横波主瓣的范围变得较宽。  相似文献

Distributed point source method (DPSM) is gradually gaining popularity in the field of non-destructive evaluation (NDE). DPSM is a semi-analytical technique that can be used to calculate the ultrasonic fields produced by transducers of finite dimension placed in homogeneous or non-homogeneous media. This technique has been already used to model ultrasonic fields in homogeneous and multi-layered fluid structures. In this paper the method is extended to model the ultrasonic fields generated in both fluid and solid media near a fluid-solid interface when the transducer is placed in the fluid half-space near the interface. Most results in this paper are generated by the newly developed DPSM technique that requires matrix inversion. This technique is identified as the matrix inversion based DPSM technique. Some of these results are compared with the results produced by the Rayleigh-Sommerfield integral based DPSM technique. Theory behind both matrix inversion based and Rayleigh-Sommerfield integral based DPSM techniques is presented in this paper. The matrix inversion based DPSM technique is found to be very efficient for computing the ultrasonic field in non-homogeneous materials. One objective of this study is to model ultrasonic fields in both solids and fluids generated by the leaky Rayleigh wave when finite size transducers are inclined at Rayleigh critical angles. This phenomenon has been correctly modelled by the technique. It should be mentioned here that techniques based on paraxial assumptions fail to model the critical reflection phenomenon. Other advantages of the DPSM technique compared to the currently available techniques for transducer radiation modelling are discussed in the paper under Introduction.  相似文献

We discuss the power spectrum due to entropy fluctuations near the surface for quasielastic Rayleigh scattering in isotropic crystals. 针对传统的基于超声信号的高铁钢轨无损检测方法对于表面微裂纹检测效果不佳的问题,提出了一种基于光声信号的高铁钢轨表面缺陷检测方法.首先,使用有限元及K-wave方法建立了钢轨模型并获得了模拟光声信号;然后利用时间反演的方法对钢轨表面的光声图像进行了重建,并研究了不同传感器中心频率对成像结果的影响;最后设计实验采集了钢轨表面的光声信号并进行了处理和分析.实验结果表明,基于光声信号的高铁钢轨表面缺陷检测方法对于表面微裂纹有很好的检测效果,该方法在钢轨探伤领域有较大的可行性及发展潜力.  相似文献

The ultrasonic wave velocities in a polycrystalline aggregate are sensitively influenced by texture development due to plastic deformation. According to Sayer's model, it is possible to construct ultrasonic pole figures via the crystallite orientation distribution function (CODF), which can be calculated by using ultrasonic wave velocities. In the previous papers, the theoretical modeling to simulate ultrasonic wave velocities propagating in solid materials under plastic deformation has been proposed by the authors and proved to be a good agreement with experimental results. Generally, wave velocities are dependent upon the propagating wave frequency; hence to evaluate texture development via ultrasonic pole figures it is necessary to examine an influence of frequency dependence on the ultrasonic wave velocities. In the present paper, the proposed theoretical modeling is applied to the texture characterization in polycrystalline aggregates of FCC metals under various plastic strain histories via ultrasonic pole figures, and also the frequency dependence is examined by using Granato-Lücke's dislocation strings model. Then the simulated ultrasonic pole figures are compared with the pole figures analyzed by the finite element polycrystal model (FEPM). The good qualitative agreement between both results suggests the sufficient accuracy of our proposed theoretical modeling.  相似文献
