Metallopolymer films have important applications in electrochemical catalysis. The alternate electrostatic layer‐by‐layer method was used to assemble films of [Ru(bpy)2(PVP)10Cl]Cl (denoted as ClRu‐PVP) and [Os(bpy)2(PVP)10Cl]Cl (ClOs‐PVP) metallopolymers onto pyrolytic graphite electrodes. Film thickness estimated by quartz crystal microbalance was 6–8 nm. The effects of pH, electrolyte species and concentration on the electrochemical properties of these electroactive polymers were studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV). Behavior in various electrolytes was compared. Also the mass changes within the ultra‐thin film during redox of Os2+/3+ were characterized by in situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). The results indicate rapid reversible electron transfer, and show that both ClRu‐PVP and ClOs‐PVP have compact surface structures while ClOs‐PVP is a little denser than ClRu‐PVP. Although hydrogen ions do not participate in the chemical reaction of either film, the movement of Na+ cation and water accompanies the redox process of ClOs‐PVP films. 相似文献

Simultaneous direct electrochemiluminescence and catalytic voltammetry detection of DNA in ultrathin films 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Direct electrochemiluminescence (ECL) involving DNA was demonstrated in 10 nm films of cationic polymer [Ru(bpy)(2)(PVP)(10)](2+) assembled layer-by-layer with DNA. A square wave voltammetric waveform oxidized the Ru(II) sites in the metallopolymer to Ru(III), and ECL was measured simultaneously with catalytic voltammetric peaks in a simple apparatus. Significant ECL generation occurred only when guanine bases were present on oligonucleotides in the films. This result along with knowledge of proposed ECL pathways suggests that guanine radicals initially formed by catalytic oxidation of guanines by Ru(III) react with the metallopolymer to produce electronically exited Ru(II) sites in the film. ECL and catalytic SWV peaks were sensitive to oligonucleotide hybridization and chemical DNA damage. Simultaneous linear growth of ECL and SWV peaks occurred after incubation with known DNA damage agent styrene oxide over 20 min. The estimated detection limit was 1 damaged DNA base in 1000. Control incubations of metallopolymer/ds-DNA films in buffer containing unreactive toluene resulted in no significant changes of the ECL or SWV peaks. 相似文献

Modified 2′-deoxynucleoside triphosphates (dNTPs) bearing [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and [Os(bpy)3]2+ complexes attached via an acetylene linker to the 5-position of pyrimidines (C and U) or to the 7-position of 7-deazapurines (7-deaza-A and 7-deaza-G) have been prepared in one step by aqueous cross-couplings of halogenated dNTPs with the corresponding terminal acetylenes. Polymerase incorporation by primer extension using Vent (exo-) or Pwo polymerases gave DNA labeled in specific positions with Ru2+ or Os2+ complexes. Square-wave voltammetry could be efficiently used to detect these labeled nucleic acids by reversible oxidations of Ru2+/3+ or Os2+/3+. The redox potentials of the Ru2+ complexes (1.1–1.25 V) are very close to that of G oxidation (1.1 V), while the potentials of Os2+ complexes (0.75 V) are sufficiently different to enable their independent detection. On the other hand, Ru2+-labeled DNA can be independently analyzed by luminescence. In combination with previously reported dNTPs bearing ferrocene, aminophenyl, and nitrophenyl tags, the Os-labeled dATP has been successfully used for “multicolor” redox labeling of DNA and for DNA minisequencing. 相似文献

The ligand-loss photochemistry of cis-[Ru(bpy)(2)(NH(3))(2)](2+) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) was investigated in water and in the presence of added ligands such as bipyridine and chloride. Irradiation of the complex results in the covalent binding to 9-methyl- and 9-ethylguanine, as well as to single-stranded and double-stranded DNA. This photoinduced DNA binding is not observed for the control complex [Ru(bpy)(2)(en)](2+) (en = ethylenediamine) under similar irradiation conditions. The results presented here show that octahedral Ru(II) complexes with photolabile ligands may prove useful as photoactivated cisplatin analogs. 相似文献

Highly resolved emission and absorption spectra of [Os(bpy)3]2+, doped into single-crystal [Ru(bpy)3](ClO4)2, are reported. Our investigations, at low temperatures (2⩽T⩽50 K) and high magnetic fields ( 0⩽H⩽6 T ), lead to the following results: The three lowest excited states of [Os(bpy)3]2+ in this matrix are identified from zero-phonon transitions lying at 14169 ± cm−1 (line I), 14230± cm−1 (line II), and 14380 ± 2 cm−1 (line III). These transitions are found at the same energies (within the experimental error of ± 2 cm−1) in absorption and emission. The extinction coefficients of II and III are ≈ 103 XXX mol−1 cm−1 while the transition |0>→ |I> (line I) is strongly forbidden. However, under high magnetic fields this absorption line grows in due to a mixing of |I> with |II>. A large number of vibronic peaks is identified in the emission spectra. The corresponding vibrational modes are compared to Raman and IR data of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and [Os(bpy)3]2+. Several distinct modes couple more strongly to the transition from the lowest excited state |I>, others to the transition from |II>, as is shown by investigating the magnetic field dependence of the emission spectra. 相似文献

In order to solidify the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) luminophor tris(2,2′-bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) ([Ru(bpy)3]2+) onto the electrode surfaces robustly, the negative charged heteropolyacids (HPAs) moieties were utilized to attract and bond cations [Ru(bpy)3]2+ via an adsorption method. The compositions and microstructures of the hybrid complexes were characterized by elemental analysis (EDS), spectroscopic techniques (UV-vis, FTIR) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The electrochemical and ECL behaviors of the [Ru(bpy)3]2+/[PW12O40]3− hybrid complex contained in the solid film of the nanocomposites formed on the electrode surfaces were also studied. It was found that the corresponding solid membranes exhibited a diffusion-controlled voltammetric feature and excellent electrochemiluminescence behaviors. Hence potential prospects as new electrochemiluminescent materials for application in electroanalytical detection are envisioned. 相似文献

The oxidation of L-cysteine by the outer-sphere oxidants [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]+ and [Fe(bpy)(CN)4]- in anaerobic aqueous solution is highly susceptible to catalysis by trace amounts of copper ions. This copper catalysis is effectively inhibited with the addition of 1.0 mM dipicolinic acid for the reduction of [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]+ and is completely suppressed with the addition of 5.0 mM EDTA (pH<9.00), 10.0 mM EDTA (9.010.0) for the reduction of [Fe(bpy)(CN)4]-. 1H NMR and UV-vis spectra show that the products of the direct (uncatalyzed) reactions are the corresponding Fe(II) complexes and, when no radical scavengers are present, L-cystine, both being formed quantitatively. The two reactions display mild kinetic inhibition by Fe(II), and the inhibition can be suppressed by the free radical scavenger PBN (N-tert-butyl-alpha-phenylnitrone). At 25 degrees C and micro=0.1 M and under conditions where inhibition by Fe(II) is insignificant, the general rate law is -d[Fe(III)]/dt=k[cysteine]tot[Fe(III)], with k={k2Ka1[H+]2+k3Ka1Ka2[H+]+k4Ka1Ka2Ka3{/}[H+]3+Ka1[H+]2+Ka1Ka2[H+]+Ka1Ka2Ka3}, where Ka1, Ka2, and Ka3 are the successive acid dissociation constants of HSCH2CH(NH3+)CO2H. For [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]+, the kinetics over the pH range of 3-7.9 yields k2=3.4+/-0.6 M(-1) s(-1) and k3=(1.18+/-0.02)x10(6) M(-1) s(-1) (k4 is insignificant in the fitting). For [Fe(bpy)(CN)4]- over the pH range of 6.1-11.9, the rate constants are k3=(2.13+/-0.08)x10(3) M(-1) s(-1) and k4=(1.01+/-0.06)x10(4) M(-1) s(-1) (k2 is insignificant in the fitting). All three terms in the rate law are assigned to rate-limiting electron-transfer reactions in which various thiolate forms of cysteine are reactive. Applying Marcus theory, the self-exchange rate constant of the *SCH2CH(NH2)CO2-/-SCH2CH(NH2)CO2- redox couple was obtained from the oxidation of L-cysteine by [Fe(bpy)(CN)4]-, with k11=4x10(5) M(-1) s(-1). The self-exchange rate constant of the *SCH2CH(NH3+)CO2-/-SCH2CH(NH3+)CO2- redox couple was similarly obtained from the rates with both Fe(III) oxidants, a value of 6x10(6) M(-1) s(-1) for k11 being derived. Both self-exchange rate constants are quite large as is to be expected from the minimal rearrangement that follows conversion of a thiolate to a thiyl radical, and the somewhat lower self-exchange rate constant for the dianionic form of cysteine is ascribed to electrostatic repulsion. 相似文献

A chemically modified graphite electrode was prepared by using a dual film of [Os(bpy)2(PVP)10Cl]Cl polymer and Nafion. The modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytical activity for the oxidation of norepinephrine (NE) and an ability to eliminate efficiently the interference of ascorbic acid and other anions. The catalytic peak currents obtained from the cyclic voltammograms increased linearly with increasing concentration of NE. A log-log plot of catalytic current versus NE concentration showed a dual-linear relationship in the ranges 1.8 x 10(-8)-4.4 x 10(-6) M and 4.4 x 10(-6)-2.9 x 10(-4) M with correlation coefficients of 0.990 and 0.999, respectively. The detection limit was about 18 nM (3 delta). At a potential of +500 mV the chronoamperometric response showed a linear relationship between the steady state current and NE concentration in the range 1.3-130 microM. With a further increase in NE concentration a Michaelis-Menten-shaped response was observed. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant and the maximum current were 1.7 mM and 86 microA, respectively. The modified electrode showed excellent reproducibility, sensitivity and stability for the determination of NE at trace levels. 相似文献

We report on phototriggered Ru-S --> Ru-O and thermal Ru-O --> Ru-S intramolecular linkage isomerizations in cis- and trans-[Ru(bpy)2(dmso)2]2+. The cis complex features only S-bonded sulfoxides (cis-[S,S]), whereas the trans isomer is characterized by S- and O-bonded dmso ligands. Both cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] exhibit photochromism at room temperature in dmso solution and ionic liquid (IL). Rates of reaction in IL were monitored by UV-visible spectroscopy and are similar to those reported in dmso solution (k(O-->S) ranges from approximately 10(-3) to 10(-4) s(-1)). Cyclic voltammetric measurements of cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] are consistent with an electrochemically triggered linkage isomerism mechanism. While both cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] are photochromic at room temperature, neither complex is emissive. However, upon cooling to 77 K, cis-[S,S] exhibits LMCT (ligand-to-metal charge transfer) emission typical of many ruthenium polypyridine complexes. A series of [Ru(bpy)(2)](2+) complexes linked by a controlled number of azine units (one to seven) were synthesized and studied in the solution phase. Polymers and dimer model compounds were examined by cyclic voltammetry and IR, NMR, and visible-NIR spectroscopies. The NMR spectra and the cyclic voltammograms indicated that the Ru(2+) sites influenced the main chain properties at least 15 A from the metal site. The first oxidation in each material was assigned to a ligand-centered process, but DFT calculations suggested that the Ru(2+) has an important influence. The first oxidized state of the polymers has a spectroscopic band that is consistent with an intervalence transfer (IT) transition, but this absorption is not seen in the dimer model compounds. Thus, the IT feature is assigned to a ligand-ligand transition that spans several repeat units in the polymer. 相似文献

The geometry and electronic structure of cis-[Ru(II)(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) and its higher oxidation state species up formally to Ru(VI) have been studied by means of UV-vis, EPR, XAS, and DFT and CASSCF/CASPT2 calculations. DFT calculations of the molecular structures of these species show that, as the oxidation state increases, the Ru-O bond distance decreases, indicating increased degrees of Ru-O multiple bonding. In addition, the O-Ru-O valence bond angle increases as the oxidation state increases. EPR spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations indicate that low-spin configurations are favored for all oxidation states. Thus, cis-[Ru(IV)(bpy)(2)(OH)(2)](2+) (d(4)) has a singlet ground state and is EPR-silent at low temperatures, while cis-[Ru(V)(bpy)(2)(O)(OH)](2+) (d(3)) has a doublet ground state. XAS spectroscopy of higher oxidation state species and DFT calculations further illuminate the electronic structures of these complexes, particularly with respect to the covalent character of the O-Ru-O fragment. In addition, the photochemical isomerization of cis-[Ru(II)(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) to its trans-[Ru(II)(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) isomer has been fully characterized through quantum chemical calculations. The excited-state process is predicted to involve decoordination of one aqua ligand, which leads to a coordinatively unsaturated complex that undergoes structural rearrangement followed by recoordination of water to yield the trans isomer. 相似文献

Syntheses of [Co(bpy)3]2+ yield racemic solutions because the Δ‐ and Λ‐enantiomers are stereochemically labile. However, crystallization and attrition‐enhanced deracemization can give homochiral crystal batches of either handedness in quantitative yield. Subsequently, solvent‐free oxidation with bromine vapour fixes the chirality because [Co(bipy)3]3+ does not enantiomerize in solution at ambient temperature. This combination of Viedma ripening and the labile/inert CoII/CoIII couple constitutes a convenient method of absolute asymmetric synthesis. 相似文献

Polypyridyl ligand 9a,13a‐dihydro‐4,5,9,14‐tetraaza‐benzo[b]triphenylene‐11‐yl)‐phenyl‐methanone (BDPPZ) and its complexes [Ru(bpy)2BDPPZ]2+, [Ru(dmb)2BDPPZ]2+ and [Ru(phen)2BDPPZ]2+ (where bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridine, dmb = 4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine, phen = 1,10‐phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV–vis, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR and mass spectra. The DNA‐binding properties of the complexes were investigated by absorption, emission, melting temperature and viscosity measurements. Experimental results indicate that the three complexes can intercalate into DNA base pairs. Photo activated cleavage of pBR‐322 DNA by the three complexes was also studied. 利用还原法制得金纳米球(Au NPs),与氮掺杂石墨烯量子点(NG QDs)杂化后,再以壳聚糖胶黏剂并通过静电作用使Ru(bpy)3^2+负载于其表面形成复合膜,制备了一种新型的固相电致化学发光(ECL)传感器。研究发现,与单一材料相比,Au NPs和NG QDs杂化复合材料作为载体显著提高了发光试剂Ru(bpy)3^2+的ECL信号。根据环境污染物邻苯二酚对该修饰电极ECL信号较强的阻抑作用,建立了测定领苯二酚的新体系。结果表明,Au NPs/NG QDs/Ru(bpy)3^2+修饰电极的ECL信号变化值与邻苯二酚的浓度负对数在5.0 nmol/L^10μmol/L之间呈良好的线性关系,检出限为3.0 nmol/L(r=0.9992)。对5.0μmol/L的邻苯二酚进行10次重复测定,相对标准偏差为4.6%,常见的共存物质不干扰测定,表明该方法的选择性较好。采用该修饰电极成功测定了河水中的邻苯二酚含量。 相似文献

The in vitro photobiology of the supramolecular complexes [{(bpy)2Ru(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 and [{(bpy)2Os(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 [bpy=2,2'-bipyridine; dpp=2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine] with African green monkey kidney epithelial (Vero) cells was investigated. Previously, the complexes have been shown to photocleave DNA in the presence or absence of O2. Vero cell replication was uninhibited for cells exposed to the metal complex but protected from light. Vero cells that were exposed to metal complex, rinsed, and illuminated with >460 nm light showed a replication response that was metal complex concentration-dependent. Vero cells exposed to 3.0-120 microM [{(bpy)2Ru(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 and illuminated showed inhibition of cell growth, with evidence of cell death seen for complex concentrations>or=10 microM. Cells exposed to [{(bpy)2Os(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 at concentrations of 5.5-110 microM, rinsed, and illuminated showed only inhibition of cell growth. The impact of [{(bpy)2Ru(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 and [{(bpy)2Os(dpp)}2RhCl2]Cl5 on cell growth following illumination shows the promise of this new structural motif as a photodynamic therapy agent. 相似文献

Reductive electrocrystallization at a constant current density (11.0–11.5 μA/cm2) of millimolar solutions of [M(bpy)3](PF6)2, where M = Fe, Ru, or Os, and bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine in acetonitrile containing 0.1M Bu4NPF6 results in the formation of dark crystals on the Pt cathode. The crystals grow as long, thin, and shiny needles having a hexagonal cross section of 0.1–0.5 mm in diameter. Combustion microanalyses results are consistent with the composition for [Fe(bpy)3], [Ru(bpy)3], and [Os(bpy)3]. In addition, the chromophores are conserved, as confirmed by recording both the electronic and the 1H-NMR spectra after reoxidation of the electrocrystals in humid air. The spectra are identical to those for authentic samples of [Fe(bpy)3]2+, [Ru(bpy)3]2+, and [Os(bpy)3]2+. A ratio of 2.0 ± 0.1 e?/molecule is observed upon completion of the controlled potential electrolysis of a solution of [M(bpy)3]2+, which results in the precipitation of a dark solid and the almost complete fading of the color of the original solution. Unexpectedly, the crystals do not exhibit an ESR signal. These data indicate the formation of novel materials, crystalline [Fe(bpy)3], [Ru(bpy)3], and [Os(bpy)3]. 相似文献
