Treatment of [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]Na(THF) with CF3SO3Cu followed by 1-azidoadamantane affords [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]CuNNN(1-Ad) in 65% yield. The solid state structure shows that the copper atom is coordinated to the terminal nitrogen atom (NT) of the azidoadamantane ligand. The related silver(I) adduct can be prepared in 80% yield by the treatment of [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]Ag(THF) with 1-azidoadamantane. However, [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]AgN(1-Ad)NN shows a different bonding mode where the silver atom coordinates to the alkylated nitrogen atom (NA) of the azidoadamantane ligand. Asymmetric stretching bands of the azido group for copper and silver adducts appear at 2143 and 2120 cm-1, respectively. Theoretical investigation shows that steric effects do not play a dominant role in determining the bonding mode of the azide ligand in these two metal complexes. Although the copper(I) ion affinity for the two coordinating sites NT and NA is nearly identical, copper-azide back-bonding interactions favor the copper-NT mode of bonding over the copper-NA mode. Silver (a very poor back-bonding metal) prefers the NA site for coordination. The NA site has a significantly higher proton affinity and slightly higher sodium ion affinity. Important structural parameters for [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]CuNNN(1-Ad) and [HB(3,5-(CF3)2Pz)3]AgN(1-Ad)NN are as follows: Cu-NT 1.861(3) A, NT-N 1.136(4) A, N-NA 1.219(4) A, NT-N-NA 173.1(3) degrees; Ag-NA 2.220(5) A, NT-N 1.143(12) A, N-NA 1.227(10) A, NT-N-NA 176.8(12) degrees. Overall, the azidoadamantane ligand does not undergo any significant changes upon coordination to Cu(I) or Ag(I) ions.  相似文献

Syntheses of halide derivatives of germanium(II) and tin(II) aminotroponiminate (ATI) complexes and their silver salt metathesis reactions have been investigated. The treatment of GeCl(2) x (1,4-dioxane), SnCl(2), or SnI(2) with [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]Li in a 1:1 molar ratio affords the corresponding germanium(II) or tin(II) halide complex [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]MX (where [(n-Pr)(2)ATI](-) = N-(n-propyl)-2-(n-propylamino)troponiminate; M = Ge or Sn; X = Cl or I). As usually expected, [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]GeCl and [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]SnCl undergo rapid metathesis with CF(3)SO(3)Ag, leading to trifluoromethanesulfonate salts, [[(n-Pr)(2)ATI]Ge][SO(3)CF(3)] and [[(n-Pr)(2)ATI]Sn][SO(3)CF(3)], and silver chloride. However, when the silver source [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag(eta(2)-toluene) is used, rather than undergoing metathesis, very stable 1:1 adducts [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag<--Ge(Cl)[(n-Pr)(2)ATI] and [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag<--Sn(Cl)[(n-Pr)(2)ATI] are formed (where [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) = hydrotris(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazolyl)borate). The use of the iodide derivative [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]SnI did not change the outcome either. All new compounds have been characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. The Ag-Ge and Ag-Sn bond distances of [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag<-- Ge(Cl)[(n-Pr)(2)ATI], [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag<--Sn(Cl)[(n-Pr)(2)ATI], and [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag<--Sn(I)[(n-Pr)(2)ATI] are 2.4142(6), 2.5863(6), and 2.5880(10) A, respectively. A convenient route to [(n-Pr)(2)ATI]H is also reported.  相似文献

Dimethylaluminum or ethylzinc complexes of highly fluorinated tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligand [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) can be obtained in excellent yield from the reaction between the silver adduct [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Ag(THF) and the metal alkyl reagent Me(3)Al or Et(2)Zn. The X-ray crystal structure of [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]AlMe(2) shows that the tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligand coordinates to the aluminum center in kappa(2)-fashion. [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]ZnEt features the typical kappa(3)-bonded ligand.  相似文献

The synthesis and thermal behaviour is reported of some ionic liquid-crystalline complexes formed when a mesogenic, two-chained, pyrazolylpyridine ligand is bound to a eta3-allylpalladium(II) fragment. The phase behaviour of the complexes is dominated by the formation of the SmA phase and, while the stability of the crystal phase appears to be controlled by intermolecular solid-state interactions, the stability of the liquid crystal phases is controlled by the length of the ligand alkoxy chains. Some of the complexes also show a complex polymorphism leading to the observation of double-melting behaviour.  相似文献

The fluorinated tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligands [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) and [HB(3-(CF(3))Pz)(3)](-) (where Pz = pyrazolyl) have been synthesized as their sodium salts from the corresponding pyrazoles and NaBH(4) in high yield. These sodium complexes and the related [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]K(DMAC) were used as ligand transfer agents in the preparation of the copper and silver complexes [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Cu(DMAC), [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]CuPPh(3), [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]AgPPh(3), and [HB(3-(CF(3))Pz)(3)]AgPPh(3). Metal complexes of the fluorinated [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) ligand have highly electrophilic metal sites relative to their hydrocarbon analogs. This is evident from the formation of stable adducts with neutral oxygen donors such as H(2)O, dimethylacetamide, or thf. Furthermore, the metal compounds derived from fluorinated ligands show fairly long-range coupling between fluorines of the trifluoromethyl groups and the hydrogen, silver, or phosphorus. The solid state structures show that the fluorines are in close proximity to these nuclei, thus suggesting a possible through-space coupling mechanism. Crystal structures of the sodium adducts exhibit significant metal-fluorine interactions. The treatment of [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Na(H(2)O) with Et(4)NBr led to [Et(4)N][HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)], which contains a well-separated [Et(4)N](+) cation and the [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) anion in the solid state. The synthesis and characterization of nine coordination networks based on 1,3-bis(phenylthio)propane, L(3), and silver(I) salts of PF(6)(-) (1), CF(3)COO(-) (2), CF(3)CF(2)COO(-) (3), CF(3)CF(2)CF(2)COO(-) (4), p-TsO(-) (5, 6), and CF(3)SO(3)(-) (7-9) are reported. Only 1 and other "isostructural" complexes with weakly coordinating anions such as ClO(4)(-) and SbF(6)(-) are of the host-guest type. In all the other complexes, the anions and the acetone molecules, when present, are coordinated to the metal. Most of the complexes studied here form a 2D-coordination network. Only 4 and 5 adopt a polymer-like chain structure. The packing of the chains of 4 is pseudohexagonal compact, while that of 5 is of the centered type. In complex 1, the silver atom is tetrahedrally coordinated to the sulfur atoms of four different ligands. The PF(6)(-) anions and acetone molecules, sandwiched between silver-ligand cationic sheets, are held through van der Waals interactions. In each of the three perfluorocarboxylates (2-4), two silver atoms are joined by the anions in a diatomic bridging mode. The Ag...Ag distances are sufficiently short to indicate weak metal...metal interactions. The dimeric units in 2 and 3 are interconnected through the ligands, thereby generating a 2D-network of neutral sheets, while, in 4, the dimeric units are bound to four ligands and a 1D-coordination polymer is generated. In the case of the sulfonate anions (p-TsO(-) and CF(3)SO(3)(-)), the crystallization solvent influences the structure adopted. Thus, in 5, 7, and 9 obtained from petroleum ether, or other nonpolar solvents, two silver atoms are bound in a double-bridge fashion, while a monobridge mode is noted for 6 and 8, both recrystallized from diethyl ether. In 8, both bridging types are observed. The thermogravimetric investigation, in the room temperature-450 degrees C interval, of complexes 1, 3, and 7, which incorporate acetone molecules in their crystal structures, reveals a two-step weight loss for 1 (the acetone molecules are lost first followed by the ligands, leaving behind the silver salt), while complexes 3 and 7 decompose in a single step to metallic silver.  相似文献

The thallium derivative of a fluorinated, B-methylated, tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligand, [MeB(3-(CF3)Pz)3]-, has been synthesized via a two-step process using the corresponding pyrazole, Li[MeBH3], and thallium(I) acetate. Reaction of [MeB(3-(CF3)Pz)3]Tl with CuBr in the presence of ethylene leads to [MeB(3-(CF3)Pz)3]Cu(C2H4). It is a thermally stable solid. [MeB(3-(CF3)Pz)3]Cu(C2H4) reacts with [(Bn)2ATI]SnCl to yield [MeB(3-(CF3)Pz)3]Cu<--Sn(Cl)[(Bn)2ATI], featuring an unsupported Cu(I)-Sn(II) bond [2.4540(4) A].  相似文献

The reaction between [Mo(NO){HB(3,5-Me2C3N2H)3}I2] and pyrrolidine or piperidine produces both the amine complexes [Mo(NO){HB(3,5-Me2C3N2H)3} I(NHCnH2n)] (n = 4 or 5) and the amide complexes [Mo(NO){HB(3,5-Me2C3N2H)3} I(NCnH2n)]. The role of steric factors in the formation of these compounds is discussed.  相似文献

New silver(I) complexes have been synthesized from the reaction of AgNO(3), monodentate tertiary phosphanes PR(3) (PR(3) = P(C(6)H(5))(3), P(o-C(6)H(4)CH(3))(3), P(m-C(6)H(4)CH(3))(3), P(p-C(6)H(4)CH(3))(3), PCH(3)(C(6)H(5))(2)) and two novel electron withdrawing ligands: potassium dihydrobis(3-nitropyrazol-1-yl)borate and potassium dihydrobis(3-trifluoromethylpyrazol-1-yl)borate. These compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, ESI-MS and multinuclear ((1)H, (19)F and (31)P) NMR spectroscopy. Solid state structures of the potassium salts K[H(2)B(3-(NO(2))pz)(2)] and K[H(2)B(3-(CF(3))pz)(2)] have been reported. They form polymeric networks due to intermolecular contacts of various types between the potassium ion and atoms of the neighboring molecules. The silver adducts [H(2)B(3-(NO(2))pz)(2)]Ag[P(C(6)H(5))(3)](2) and [H(2)B(3-(NO(2))pz)(2)]Ag[P(p-C(6)H(4)CH(3))(3)] have pseudo tetrahedral and trigonal planar silver sites, respectively. The bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligand acts as a kappa(2)-N(2) donor. The nitro-substituents are coplanar with the pyrazolyl rings in all these adducts indicating efficient electron delocalization between the two units. The [H(2)B(3-(CF(3))pz)(2)]Ag[P(C(6)H(5))(3)] complex has been obtained from re-crystallization of {[H(2)B(3-(CF(3))pz)(2)]Ag[P(C(6)H(5))(3)](2)} in a dichloromethane-diethyl ether solution; it is a three-coordinate, trigonal planar silver complex.  相似文献

The previously reported hexanuclear cluster [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(6)](2+)[Y](2) (1-Y(2): Y=CF(3)SO(3) (-)) contains a central Pt(4) tetrahedron bridged at each of the opposite edges by another platinum atom; in turn, four phosphido ligands bridge the four Pt-Pt bonds not involved in the tetrahedron, and, finally, one carbonyl ligand is terminally bonded to each metal centre. Interestingly, the two outer carbonyls are more easily substituted or attacked by nucleophiles than the inner four, which are bonded to the tetrahedron vertices. In fact, the reaction of 1-Y(2) with 1 equiv of [nBu(4)N]Cl or with an excess of halide salts gives the monochloride [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(5)Cl](+)[Y], 2-Y, or the neutral dihalide derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(4)X(2)] (3: X=Cl; 4: X=Br; 5: X=I). Moreover, the useful unsymmetrically substituted [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(4)ICl] (6) was obtained by reacting equimolar amounts of 2 and [nBu(4)N]I, and the dicationic derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(4)L(2)](2+)[Y](2) (7-Y(2): L=(13)CO; 8-Y(2): L=CNtBu; 9-Y(2): L=PMe(3)) were obtained by reaction of an excess of the ligand L with 1-Y(2). Weaker nitrogen ligands were introduced by dissolving the dichloride 3 in acetonitrile or pyridyne in the presence of TlPF(6) to afford [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4) (CO)(4)L(2)](2+)[Z](2) (Z=PF(6) (-), 10-Z(2): L=MeCN; 11-Z(2): L=Py). The "apical" carbonyls in 1-Y(2) are also prone to nucleophilic addition (Nu(-): H(-), MeO(-)) affording the acyl derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(4)(CONu)(2)] (12: Nu=H; 13: Nu=OMe). Complex 12 is slowly converted into the dihydride [Pt(6)(mu-PtBu(2))(4)(CO)(4)H(2)] (14), which was more cleanly prepared by reacting 3 with NaBH(4). In a unique case we observed a reaction involving also the inner carbonyls of complex 1, that is, in the reaction with a large excess of the isocyanides R-NC, which form the corresponding persubstituted derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-tPBu(2))(4)(CN-R)(6)](2+)[Y](2), (15-Y(2): R=tBu; 16-Y(2) (2-): R=-C(6)H(4)-4-C triple bond CH). All complexes were characterized by microanalysis, IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structures of complexes 3, 5, 6 and 9-Y(2) are also reported. From the redox viewpoint, all complexes display two reversible one-electron reduction steps, the location of which depends both upon the electronic effects of the substituents, and the overall charge of the original complex.  相似文献

The new copper(I) nitro complex [(Ph(3)P)(2)N][Cu(HB(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3))(NO(2))] (2), containing the anionic hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate ligand, was synthesized, and its structural features were probed using X-ray crystallography. Complex 2 was found to cocrystallize with a water molecule, and X-ray crystallographic analysis showed that the resulting molecule had the structure [(Ph(3)P)(2)N][Cu(HB(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3))(NO(2))]·H(2)O (3), containing a water hydrogen bonded to an oxygen of the nitrite moiety. This complex represents the first example in the solid state of an analogue of the nitrous acid intermediate (CuNO(2)H). A comparison of the nitrite reduction reactivity of the electron-rich ligand containing the CuNO(2) complex 2 with that of the known neutral ligand containing the CuNO(2) complex [Cu(HC(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3))(NO(2))] (1) shows that reactivity is significantly influenced by the electron density around the copper and nitrite centers. The detailed mechanisms of nitrite reduction reactions of 1 and 2 with acetic acid were explored by using density functional theory calculations. Overall, the results of this effort show that synthetic models, based on neutral HC(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3) and anionic [HB(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3)](-) ligands, mimic the electronic influence of (His)(3) ligands in the environment of the type II copper center of copper nitrite reductases (Cu-NIRs).  相似文献

The unique salt [Ni(Cp*Rubdt)2][CF3SO3], containing the features of both a metal dithiolene complex and a metallocene, has been studied by d.c. and a.c. magnetic susceptibility measurements. This indicated ferromagnetism with Tc=3.5 K as evidenced by splitting of the field-cooled and zero-field-cooled d.c. susceptibility, remnant magnetisation, a non-zero imaginary component and a peak in the real component of the a.c. susceptibility and magnetic hysteresis. Studies of magnetisation against field indicated superparamagnetic behaviour above the ordering temperature up to around 10–20 K, suggesting correlated behaviour of the spins in one or two dimensions before the onset of 3D order. In contrast to many mixed dithiolene complex—metallocene salts, the structure of the title compound ensures that no segregation of the dithiolene and metallocene components into separate stacks can occur, a structural feature that has previously led to interesting magnetic materials.  相似文献
