We present that the electrical bistability in organic-inorganic bistable devices based on tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3) and zinc selenide (ZnSe) with the tri-layer structure of Alq3/aluminum (Al)/ZnSe. The current-voltage characteristics of the bistable device exhibit two electrical states as low (OFF state) and high (ON state) conductivity with ON/OFF ratio about four orders of magnitude. The conduction mechanisms in both ON and OFF states were analyzed by theoretical model. In the OFF state, the conduction mechanisms can be explained by thermionic emission model, which the ON state can be described by ohmic conduction model. The retention times of both states are more than 8000 s, and the device can reproduce continuous write-read-erase-read switching cycles. Moreover, for the organic-inorganic bistable device was kept at one year in ambient condition without encapsulation. The device still exhibited the electrical bistable behavior. Consequently, the ZnSe layer may be led to improve the lifetime property of the bistable device which acted as a self-encapsulating layer.  相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrate experimentally switching a cantilever between its optomechanical bistable states in a low finesse optical cavity. Our experiment shows that the deformation of cantilever can be manipulated by tuning the cavity resonance. When the laser power increases across the threshold value of 110 ?W, optomechanical bistability is induced by strong static photothermal backaction at room temperature. Numerical calculation revealed that the bistable effect originates from the multi-well potential created via the optomechanical interaction. Switching of the cantilever between the bistable states was achieved by tuning the cavity to the corresponding boundaries of the bistable region, where the barrier between the bistable states vanishes.  相似文献

We investigate the steady-state optical bistability behavior in a three-level Λ-type atomic system closed by a microwave field under the condition that the applied fields are in resonance with corresponding atomic transitions. It is shown that the bistable hysteresis cycles can be controlled by both the amplitude and the phase of the microwave field.  相似文献

两个双稳系统经非线性耦合而成为多稳态系统,该耦合系统与单一双稳系统相比具有较高的理论研究和实际应用价值.解析地分析了耦合系统在含噪弱周期信号作用下的响应特性,给出了耦合系数和双稳系统参数对随机共振的影响,表明耦合系统的随机共振是在带状的双势阱作用下产生的,还构建了反馈耦合控制原理框图.这为在双稳类系统中人为地产生随机共振或使共振效应更加强烈即随机共振的控制及其应用提供了可靠的理论依据.数值仿真结果与理论分析完全符合. 关键词: 耦合双稳系统 随机共振 控制  相似文献

针对双稳系统的高频信号响应,探讨了双稳调参的高频共振机理.研究表明,二次采样频率变换并不改变双稳结构直接在原系统结构上在与高频映射对应的低频处实现共振,而双稳系统参数调节是调参改变双稳结构并直接在高频处实现共振.双稳系统参数调节之所以能够实现高频随机共振,是因为同时调节双稳系统两参数可使Kramers逃逸速率不存在极限值,突破了随机共振信号频率必须在小频率范围内的限制. 关键词: 双稳系统 高频共振 二次采样频率变换 系统参数调节  相似文献

Summary The excitation of metastable states in an atomic beam apparatus by means of electron collision is a widespread technique. We have observed a large bistable behaviour in our apparatus designed to provide an intense and collimated beam of metastable helium by excitation with orthogonally impinging electrons. This bistable behaviour largely affects the efficiency of the apparatus and is therefore worth of being carefully investigated. The apparatus has an electrode configuration equivalent to that of a tetrode valve with large intergrid distances. The bistability consists in a hysteresis cycle in the curve of the anode currentvs. grid voltage. Experimental measurements, supported by a simple theoretical model and by numerical simulation, stress out the crucial role played by space charge effects for the onset of bistability. A comparison with previous observation of this phenomenon is given. Spontaneous current oscillations with various shapes have been recorded in one of the two curves of the hysteresis cycle.  相似文献

The conditions for the realization of absorption optical bistability under the simultaneous action of two (radiative and nonradiative) mechanisms of recombination of free charge carriers are investigated. It is shown that, in the diffusion mechanism of stream of free electrons from the beam axis, the temperature dependence of radiative recombination does not expand the temperature range of the thermostat in which the optical bistability occurs. A scheme is proposed with application of an external transverse electric field, which makes it possible to realize absorption optical bistability at any ambient temperature. An important advantage of this scheme is the conservation of the state of a bistable system after the action of a light pulse and a significant decrease in the energy spent on cooling of the medium.  相似文献

通过调节双稳系统参数实现大参数频率范围内周期信号的随机共振, 在工程上具有重要意义. 推导了双稳系统参数的归一化变换, 利用归一化变换原理对大参数周期信号的随机共振进行了数值仿真, 阐明该原理适用于任意频率周期信号. 对大参数随机共振用电路模拟进行了实验验证, 揭示了通过调节双稳系统参数可以实现大参数频率范围内的随机共振. 分析了二次采样实现大参数周期信号随机共振的机理, 通过数值仿真与参数归一化变换方法进行了比较. 仿真结果表明, 在输入信号幅度变化的情况下, 二次采样方法易出现发散现象, 而归一化变换具有更好的稳定性与适应性.  相似文献

We demonstrate strong optical bistability in a 2 microm continuous-wave Tm,Ho:YLF laser pumped by a 792 nm laser diode near room temperature. The bistable region is as much as 100 mW wide at 283 K and can be controlled by the temperature of the laser crystal. The influence of crystal temperature on the characteristics of optical bistability is obtained. The influence of the pump-to-mode ratio on the bistable characteristics of the laser is also discussed. To our knowledge this is the first report of optical bistability effects in Tm,Ho:YLF lasers.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the Doppler effect on optical bistability in an N-type active Raman gain atomic system inside an optical ring cavity.It is shown that the Doppler effect can greatly enhance the dispersion and thus create the bistable behaviour or greatly increase the bistable region,which has been known as the positive Doppler effect on optical bistability.In addition,we find that a positive Doppler effect can change optical bistability from the hybrid dispersion-gain type to a dispersive type.  相似文献

Current bistable properties and negative differential resistance (NDR) behaviors of organic bistable devices (OBDs) with a single layer were simulated by using Shockley–Reed statistics for the trap population. The current–voltage (IV) curves were calculated to investigate the effects of the trap density on the NDR characteristics of current bistabilities in the OBDs. The simulation results of the IV curves showed that the current bistability and the NDR behavior of the OBDs were dominantly attributed to the trapped electrons in the organic layer. The NDR behavior of the IV curve appeared with increasing trap density, and the increasing rate of the internal electric field caused by the trapped electrons became larger than that of the external electric field due to the applied voltage. This resulted in the appearance of NDR behavior in the IV curves. These results can help improve understanding of the effects of the trap density on the current bistability and the origin of the NDR behavior in the IV characteristic in OBDs.  相似文献

Optical bistability in a unidirectional cavity has been analyzed based on a ground-state doublet three-level atomic model in which atoms are initially prepared in a coherent superposition state. It is shown that bistability can be realized due to the initial coherence. Furthermore, the bistable hysteresis cycle becomes wider as the initial polarization increases, and the bistability can be controlled by the initial coherence.  相似文献

Coupled equations are obtained for the transverse dynamic susceptibilities of paramagnetic impurities and conduction electrons in an impure superconductor of the second kind in a magnetic field somewhat higher than the upper critical field Hc2 under the conditions of fluctuation pairing of the conduction electrons. The fluctuation corrections to the shift and line-width of the magnetic resonance are determined in the paramagnetic impurities and the conduction electrons. We theoretically investigate the optical bistability, which one input signal allows two possible outputs, from single spherical/cylindrical nanoparticles and also nanoshells in the frame work of quasi-static formalism. It is shown that the bistability behavior greatly depends on several parameters such as the nanoparticle size, material and the surrounding dielectric environment. We demonstrated the width of the bistability region and also the bistable threshold depends on the geometrical parameters, and can be tuned by adjusting the size of nanoparticle, the shell thickness and the dielectric constant of the embedding medium. It is also shown that the optical bistable behavior depends strongly on the shape of plasmonic nanoparticles and nanoshells. However, these dependences of optical bistability of spherical/cylindrical nanoparticles and nanoshells on changing of their geometrical parameters can be used for realize optical switching and sensing purposes.  相似文献

A nonlinear regime of electron tunneling into double quantum wells with independent contacts to each well is investigated theoretically. The nonlinear current–voltage response in these systems takes place when the voltageV applied to the contacts exceeds the tunneling resonance width. It is found that such a nonlinearity acquires essentially new features when the length of the tunneling area is comparable with the square root of the ratio of the averaged in-plane conductivity of the electrons to the resonance tunneling conductance. Under these conditions, the local interlayer voltagev does not coincide with V and depends on the in-plane coordinate x. The local tunneling conductance also depends on x in the nonlinear regime. This dependence creates a positive feedback, which leads to a bistable behavior of the system (two stable patterns of the local voltage at a fixed V). The bistability is reflected by Z -like regions of the current–voltage characteristics.  相似文献
