在纳秒时域,研究了激光脉冲宽度变化对克尔介质中瞬态热光非 线性效应的影响.通过不同脉冲宽度τp下得到的二硫化碳 苯胺黑溶液的Z_scan实验结果,对瞬态热光非线性效应和光克尔效应的共存过程进行了分析 .随着脉冲宽度的增加,观察到了热光非线性效应从瞬态到稳态变化过程和Z_scan峰谷特性 的转变.同时,从声波的传播方程和光波的非线性传播方程出发,用数值计算方法模拟了这 一非线性过程,结果表明数值模拟结果和实验结果是相符的.

半导体中的双光子吸收(2PA)与能隙的三次方的倒数(Eg-3)成正比,这一关系限制了在宽带隙半导体中获得双光子吸收系数。但是已知在输入波长迥异的高度非简并情况下,双光子吸收率较简并状态会有大幅提升。在飞秒和皮秒脉冲下的泵浦探测传输实验中证实了几种直接能隙半导体具有这种性质。发现在许多直接能隙半导体中,非简并双光子吸收率较简并情况下可增强约100倍。在GaAs中,观察到双光子吸收系数达到1cm/MW,这么大的系数以前只在窄带半导体如InSb中观察到过。基于这种作用可以利用传统的半导体光电二极管获得敏感的选通探测。采用标准的GaN和GaAs光电二极管和高达14∶1的能量比的极度非简并光子证实了此技术。此外,还采用强紫外选通脉冲探测弱红外辐射,如采用GaN光电二极管,最小可探测红外脉冲能量可低至20pJ,而现有的标准制冷型MCT探测器的最小可探测能量为200pJ。我们现在还证实这种方法也可在连续波探测中应用。值得注意的是,这个过程没有用到类似χ(2)上转换的红外晶体或相位匹配。在本报告中将介绍怎样将这种探测技术用于其他半导体,以及如何优化器件的几何结构以满足实用化探测要求。 相似文献

We report the fluorescence upconversion properties of a class of improved pyridinium toluene-p-sulfonates having donor–π–acceptor (D–π–A) structure under two-photon excitation at 1064 nm. The experimental results show that both the two-photon excited (TPE) fluorescence lifetime and the two-photon pumped (TPP) energy upconversion efficiency were increased with the enhancement of electron-donating capability of the donor in the molecule. It is also indicated that an overlong alkyl group tends to result in a weakened molecular conjugation, leading to a decreased two-photon absorption (TPA) cross section. By choosing the donor, we can obtain a longest fluorescence lifetime of 837 ps, a highest energy upconversion efficiency of 6.1%, and a maximum TPA cross-section of 8.74×10−48 cm4 s/photon in these dyes. 相似文献

In this paper, we have studied the two-photon absorption process in photonic crystals doped with four-level nanoparticles. It is considered that all the levels of the particles are interacting with the photonic crystal. The decay linewidths of all the four levels are included in the calculations of two-photon absorption process. The effect of the dipole–dipole interaction has also been included in the formulation. Numerical simulations have been performed for the two-photon absorption spectrum on an isotropic photonic crystal. It is found that the system switches between the transparent and the nontransparent states due to the dipole–dipole interaction. The phenomenon of switching depends on the linewidths of these states. 相似文献

以菲涅尔-基尔霍夫衍射理论为基础,建立了非线性介质对高斯光束的衍射模型,对高斯光束通过非线性介质后的传输行为进行了详细的理论推导和数值计算,从一种新的角度解释了Z-扫描现象.理论推导出了考虑双光子吸收的闭孔和开孔Z-扫描曲线的统一公式,是计算非线性折射率和双光子吸收系数的一种新方法.数值模拟计算表明,对于考虑双光子吸收的闭孔Z-扫描曲线,其结果与经典的Z-扫描理论完全一致.而对于已给定的开孔Z-扫描曲线,用该理论计算出的双光子吸收系数是经典开孔Z-扫描理论计算值的1/3,其它结论与传统Z-扫描理论完全吻合.该理论的近似条件只要求薄样品和小非线性吸收,比传统理论具有更好的准确性. 相似文献

利用三五阶非线性效应下的扩展非线性薛定谔方程,在忽略光纤色散的情况下,计算模拟了以二阶情形为例的啁啾超高斯光脉冲的啁啾和频谱。结果表明,脉冲无预啁啾时,正五阶非线性增大啁啾量,负五阶非线性在减小啁啾量的同时还改变啁啾曲线的形状。当预啁啾与五阶非线性系数同(异)号时,总啁啾增加(减小)。随着超高斯脉冲阶次的增大,总啁啾量增大,脉冲中心附近无啁啾的范围变宽,整个有啁啾的范围变小,总啁啾中预啁啾所占比重增大。脉冲无预啁啾时,正负五阶非线性分别可以增大和减小频谱展宽。预啁啾若增强非线性所致啁啾,则可能使频谱峰值结构加强,谱峰数目增多。当超高斯光脉冲的阶次或最大非线性相移增大时,在某些宽大的频谱峰上还可能出现许多精细谱峰。 相似文献

The third-order nonlinear optical properties of chalcone derivatives have been studied using the single beam Z-scan technique. The dependence of χ(3) on different donor and acceptor type substituents demonstrates the electronic nonlinearity of compounds. The largest value of nonlinear refractive index, n2, measured for a high electron donor substituted molecule is −2.033 × 10−11 esu. These molecules exhibit a strong two-photon absorption and interesting optical limiting of nanosecond laser pulses at 532 nm. 相似文献

We have investigated the third-order nonlinear optical parameters of Bischalcones embedded in DMF solution and in solid PMMA matrix, by Z-scan technique using nanosecond laser pulse trains at 532 nm. Z-scan results reveal that the Bischalcones exhibits negative nonlinear refractive index as high as 10−11 esu. The molecular two-photon absorption cross-section of Bischalcones were of the order 10−46 cm4 s/photon, which is nearly two orders of magnitude larger than that of Rhodamine 6G which is 10−48 - 10−50 cm4 s/photon. We found that, the two-photon absorption (TPA) is the dominating nonlinear process leading to nonlinear absorption in both the cases in solution and as well as in solid medium. Based on TPA process, the Bischalcones exhibit good optical power limiting of nanosecond laser pulses at the input wavelength. The nonlinear optical parameters found to increase on enhancing the strength of the electron donor groups indicating the dependence and importance of electron donor/acceptor units on third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(3). 相似文献

We show that BiB3O6 (BiBO) crystals, well known for their excellent second harmonic generation (SHG) properties, may also be of interest for third-order optical phenomena, particularly for two-photon absorption (TPA). Photoinduced TPA measurements were performed under illumination of excimer Xe–F laser (λ = 217 nm) as a photoinducing (pumping) beam. It created a thin surface layer (about 85 nm) that was a source of the observed photoinduced TPA. Raman shifted Nd-YAG laser radiation (λ = 1.9 μm) as well as its second and fourth harmonics (λ = 950 and λ = 475 nm, respectively) were used as fundamental (probing) beams of the TPA. The highest values of the TPA β coefficient were achieved for a polarization of the pumping light directed along crystallographic axis b. Quantum chemical simulations indicate on substantial contribution of UV-induced electron–phonon anharmonicity to the observed TPA. The obtained values of TPA coefficients indicate a possibility of using BiBO crystals as UV-operated optical limiters in a wide spectral range. 相似文献
