This paper concerns the nonfragile guaranteed cost control problem for a class of nonlinear dynamic systems with multiple time delays and controller gain perturbations. Guaranteed cost control law is designed under two classes of perturbations, namely, additive form and multiplicative form. The problem is to design a memoryless state feedback control law such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the closed-loop cost function value is not more than a specified upper bound for all admissible uncertainties. Based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, some delay-dependent conditions for the existence of such controller are derived. A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed method.  相似文献

For engineering systems, uncertainties and time delays are two important issues that must be considered in control design. Uncertainties are often encountered in various dynamical systems due to modeling errors, measurement noises, linearization and approximations. Time delays have always been among the most difficult problems encountered in process control. In practical applications of feedback control, time delay arises frequently and can severely degrade closed-loop system performance and in some cases, drives the system to instability. Therefore, stability analysis and controller synthesis for uncertain nonlinear time-delay systems are important both in theory and in practice and many analytical techniques have been developed using delay-dependent Lyapunov function. In the past decade the magnetic and levitation (maglev) transportation system as a new system with high functionality has been the focus of numerous studies. However, maglev transportation systems are highly nonlinear and thus designing controller for those are challenging. The main topic of this paper is to design an adaptive robust controller for maglev transportation systems with time-delay, parametric uncertainties and external disturbances. In this paper, an adaptive robust control (ARC) is designed for this purpose. It should be noted that the adaptive gain is derived from Lyapunov–Krasovskii synthesis method, therefore asymptotic stability is guaranteed.  相似文献

The guaranteed cost control problem for a continuous-time uncertain singular system with state and control delays, and a given quadratic cost function is studied in this paper. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the guaranteed cost controller are derived based on the linear inequality (LMI) approach. A parameterized characterization of the guaranteed cost laws is given in terms of the feasible solutions to a certain LMI, and the cost function of guaranteed cost controller exists an upper bound.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of switching design for guaranteed cost control of discrete-time two-dimensional (2-D) nonlinear switched systems described by the Roesser model. The switching signal, which determines the active mode of the system, is subject to a state-dependent process whose values belong to a finite index set. By using 2-D common Lyapunov function approach, a sufficient condition expressed in terms of tractable matrix inequalities is first established to design a min-projection switching rule that makes the 2-D switched system asymptotically stable. The obtained result on stability analysis is then utilized to synthesize a suboptimal state feedback controller that minimizes the upper bound of a given infinite-horizon cost function. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust reliable control for a class of uncertain stochastic switched nonlinear systems under asynchronous switching, where the switching instants of the controller experience delays with respect to those of the system. A design scheme for the reliable controller is proposed to guarantee almost surely exponential stability for stochastic switched systems with actuator failures, and the dwell time approach is utilized for the stability analysis. Then the approach is extended to take into account stochastic switched system with Lipschitz nonlinearities and structured uncertainties. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the reliable controller are formulated in terms of a set of LMIs. Then the proposed approach is extended to take into account switched delay systems with Lipschitz nonlinearities and structured uncertainties. This article reports on an investigation into robust guaranteed cost control (GCC) for uncertain switched neutral systems (USNSs) with interval time‐varying mixed delays and nonlinear perturbations via dynamic output feedback. Delay‐dependent sufficient conditions are suggested to guarantee the robust exponential stability and to obtain robust GCC for USNSs using the average dwell time approach and the piecewise Lyapunov function technique in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities. The problem of uncertainty in the system model is solved by deploying the Yakubovich lemma. Lastly, two examples (i.e., a numerical example and the water‐quality dynamic model for the Nile River) are given to verify the efficiency of the propounded theories. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, a new method for the control of input-affine nonlinear switched systems is introduced. The system switching conditions are assumed to be state-dependent, rather than the simpler input-dependent case. The main contribution of this research is that the effects of switched dynamics are interpreted as a model uncertainty bounded within a polynomial of states norms, with unknown coefficients. In order to prevent extra conservativeness, coefficients are tuned adaptively, so that a minimal state-varying bound could be achieved. This is unlike the conventional sliding mode control (SMC) scheme, where the existence of a constant and usually large upper bound must be presumed. To address the challenge of coping with such a new concept of uncertainty, an extended form of the original adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control scheme is proposed. Adaptation laws are used to tune a fuzzy controller and also real-time estimation of the instantaneous bound of uncertainties. Closed-loop stability is guaranteed by proposing a group of multiple Lyapunov functions (MLF) with tunable parameters. Except for the mild condition that the largest difference between the magnitudes of the sub-manifolds of the switched system is bounded by a polynomial of states with uncertain coefficients, the proposed method has the distinct advantage that no information about the dynamic equations or switching conditions is required in the control design stage. The proposed method is applied to the two challenging case studies, depicting the outstanding effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

Switching between the system and the associated observer or controller is in fact asynchronous in switched control systems. However, many times we assume it synchronous, for simplicity. In this paper, the robust observer design problems for a class of nonlinear uncertain switched systems for synchronous and asynchronous switching are addressed. At first, a robust observer under synchronous switching is proposed based on average dwell time approach. After that, the results are extended to robust observer design in the asynchronous case. In this case, two working modes are adopted to facilitate the studies on the issue. Finally, an extension case covering more practical applications is investigated under asynchronous switching. The designed observer cannot maintain the asymptotical stability of error state, but the eventual boundness is guaranteed. At the end, a numerical design example is given to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper, the stabilization problem of switched control systems with time delay is investigated for both linear and nonlinear cases. First, a new global stabilizability concept with respect to state feedback and switching law is given. Then, based on multiple Lyapunov functions and delay inequalities, the state feedback controller and the switching law are devised to make sure that the resulting closed-loop switched control systems with time delay are globally asymptotically stable and exponentially stable.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy logic based guaranteed cost controller for trajectory tracking in nonlinear systems. Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model is used to represent the dynamics of a nonlinear system and the controller design is carried out using this fuzzy model. State feedback law is used for building the fuzzy controller whose performance is evaluated using a quadratic cost function. For designing the fuzzy logic based controller which satisfies guaranteed performance, linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is used. Sufficient conditions are derived in terms of matrix inequalities for minimizing the performance function of the controller. The performance function minimization problem with polynomial matrix inequalities is then transformed into a problem of minimizing a convex performance function involving standard LMIs. This minimization problem can be solved easily and efficiently using the LMI optimization techniques. Our controller design method also ensures that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable. Simulation study is carried out on a two-link robotic manipulator tracking a reference trajectory. From the results of the simulation study, it is observed that our proposed controller tracks the reference trajectory closely while maintaining a guaranteed minimum cost.  相似文献

The application of Pontryagin's maximum principle to the optimization of linear systems with time delays results in a system of coupled two-point boundary-value problems involving both delay and advance terms. The exact solution of this system of TPBV problems is extremely difficult, if not impossible. In this paper, a fast-converging iterative approach is developed for obtaining the suboptimal control for nonstationary linear systems with multiple state and control delays and with quadratic cost. At each step of the proposed method, a linear nondelay system with an extra perturbing input must be optimized. The procedure can be extended for the optimization of nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying delays, provided that some of the nonlinearities satisfy the Lipschitz condition.  相似文献

In this paper, a new stability analysis of switched impulsive systems with time delays whose subsystem is not necessarily stable is presented. A sufficient condition on uniformly asymptotical stability for nonlinear switched impulsive systems is obtained. Using the result obtained and the minimum (maximum) holding time, an easily verifiable condition on uniformly asymptotical stability for linear switched impulsive systems with time delays is derived. The robust exponential stabilization for a class of the uncertain switched neutral nonlinear systems with time-varying delays based on the sampled-data control is investigated in this paper. The closed-loop system with sampled-data control is modeled as a continuous time system with a time-varying piecewise continuous control input delay. Considering the relationship between the sampling period and the dwell time of two switching instants, sampling interval with no switching and sampling interval with one switching are discussed, respectively. By Wirtinger-based inequality, Wirtinger-based double integral inequality, and free-weighting matrix technique, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions are given to guarantee the exponential stability of uncertain switched neutral nonlinear systems under asynchronous switching. In addition, sampled-data controllers can also be designed by special operations of matrices. Finally, two numerical examples are used to show the effectiveness of the approach proposed in this paper.  相似文献

This paper addresses the stability problem of delayed nonlinear positive switched systems whose subsystems are all positive. Both discrete-time systems and continuous-time systems are studied. In our analysis, the delays in systems can be unbounded. Two conditions are established to test the local asymptotic stability of the considered systems. The method to compute the domains of attraction is also proposed provided that the system is locally asymptotically stable. When reduced to general nonlinear positive systems, that is, the considered switched system consists of only one mode, an interesting conclusion follows that the proposed nonlinear positive system is locally asymptotically stable for all admissible delays and nonnegative nonlinearities which satisfy an extra condition at the origin, if and only if the system represented by the linear part is asymptotically stable for all admissible delays. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the obtained results.  相似文献

The problem of the guaranteed cost control (GCC) for a class of uncertain discrete-time systems with both state and input delays is considered in this paper. A novel LMI-based approach is proposed for the existence of a state feedback controller which guarantees not only the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system, but also an adequate performance bound over all the possible parameter uncertainties. A convex optimization algorithm is given to design the state feedback controller which minimizes a bound on a quadratic performance index. The result exhibits some favorable features in computation as shown by a numerical example.
