Let (G, τ) be a commutative Hausdorff locally solid lattice group. In this paper we prove the following:
(1)  If (G, τ) has the A(iii)-property, then its completion is an order-complete locally solid lattice group.
(2)  If G is order-complete and τ has the Fatou property, then the order intervals of G are τ-complete.
(3)  If (G, τ) has the Fatou property, then G is order-dense in Ĝ and has the Fatou property.
(4)  The order-bound topology on any commutative lattice group is the finest locally solid topology on it.
As an application, a version of the Nikodym boundedness theorem for set functions with values in a class of locally solid topological groups is established.  相似文献

Let E, E* be separable Hilbert spaces. If S is an open subset of , then denotes the space of all functions that are holomorphic in , and bounded and continuous on . In this article we prove the following results:
1.  A theorem concerning the approximation of by a function F that is holomorphic in a neighbourhood of and such that the error Ff is uniformly bounded in the disk .
2.  The corona theorem for when dim(E) < ∞: If there exists a δ > 0 such that for all , , then there exists a such that for all , g(z)f(z) = I.
3.  The problem of complementing to an isomorphism for when {dim(E) < ∞ (Tolokonnikov’s lemma): has a left inverse iff it is a ‘part’ of an invertible element F in .

Let B (resp. K, BC,KC) denote the set of all nonempty bounded (resp. compact, bounded convex, compact convex) closed subsets of the Banach space X, endowed with the Hausdorff metric, and let G be a nonempty relatively weakly compact closed subset of X. Let B° stand for the set of all F ∈B such that the problem (F, G) is well-posed. We proved that, if X is strictly convex and Kadec, the set KC ∩ B° is a dense Gδ-subset of KC / G. Furthermore, if X is a uniformly convex Banach space, we will prove more, namely that the set B /B° (resp. K / B°, BC /B°, KC / B°) is a-porous in B (resp. K,BC, KC). Moreover, we prove that for most (in the sense of the Baire category) closed bounded subsets G of X, the set K / B° is dense and uncountable in K.  相似文献

This article gives relations between two types of phase space distributions associated to eigenfunctions of the Laplacian on a compact hyperbolic surface X Γ:
•  Wigner distributions , which arise in quantum chaos. They are invariant under the wave group.
•  Patterson-Sullivan distributions , which are the residues of the dynamical zeta-functions (where the sum runs over closed geodesics) at the poles s = 1/2 + irj. They are invariant under the geodesic flow.
We prove that these distributions (when suitably normalized) are asymptotically equal as . We also give exact relations between them. This correspondence gives a new relation between classical and quantum dynamics on a hyperbolic surface, and consequently a formulation of quantum ergodicity in terms of classical ergodic theory. Let Г be a G-symmetric graph admitting a nontrivial G-invariant partition . Let Г be the quotient graph of Г with respect to . For each block B ∊ , the setwise stabiliser GB of B in G induces natural actions on B and on the neighbourhood Г (B) of B in Г . Let G(B) and G[B] be respectively the kernels of these actions. In this paper we study certain “local actions" induced by G(B) and G[B], such as the action of G[B] on B and the action of G(B) on Г (B), and their influence on the structure of Г. Assume that we have a (compact) Riemann surface S, of genus greater than 2, with , where is the complex unit disc and Γ is a surface Fuchsian group. Let us further consider that S has an automorphism group G in such a way that the orbifold S/G is isomorphic to where is a Fuchsian group such that and has signature σ appearing in the list of non-finitely maximal signatures of Fuchsian groups of Theorems 1 and 2 in [6]. We establish an algebraic condition for G such that if G satisfies such a condition then the group of automorphisms of S is strictly greater than G, i.e., the surface S is more symmetric that we are supposing. In these cases, we establish analytic information on S from topological and algebraic conditions. Received: 4 April 2008  相似文献

Let X be a complex Banach space, and let be the space of bounded operators on X. Given and x ∈ X, denote by σT (x) the local spectrum of T at x. We prove that if is an additive map such that
then Φ (T)  =  T for all We also investigate several extensions of this result to the case of where The proof is based on elementary considerations in local spectral theory, together with the following local identity principle: given and xX, if σS+R (x)  =  σT+R (x) for all rank one operators then Sx  =  Tx .  相似文献

Let L be the function field of a projective space over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic zero, and H be the group of projective transformations. An H-sheaf on is a collection of isomorphisms for each gH satisfying the chain rule. We construct, for any n > 1, a fully faithful functor from the category of finite-dimensional L-semilinear representations of H extendable to the semigroup End(L/k) to the category of coherent H-sheaves on The paper is motivated by a study of admissible representations of the automorphism group G of an algebraically closed extension of k of countable transcendence degree undertaken in [4]. The semigroup End(L/k) is considered as a subquotient of G, hence the condition on extendability. In the appendix it is shown that, if is either H, or a bigger subgroup in the Cremona group (generated by H and a certain pair of involutions), then any semilinear of degree one is an integral L-tensor power of It is also shown that this bigger subgroup has no non-trivial representations of finite degree if n > 1.  相似文献

Let be a class of groups. A subgroup H of a group G is called -s-supplemented in G, if there exists a subgroup K of G such that G = HK and K/KHG belongs to where HG is the maximal normal subgroup of G which is contained in H. The main purpose of this paper is to study some subgroups of Fitting subgroup and generalized Fitting subgroup -s-supplemented and some new criterions of p-nilpotency of finite groups are obtained. *This research is supported by the grant of NSFC and TianYuan Fund of Mathematics of China (Grant #10626047).  相似文献

We define a group G to be of type Φ if it has the property that for every -module G, proj. G < ∞ iff proj. H G < ∞ for every finite subgroup H of G. We conjecture that the type Φ is an algebraic characterization of those groups G which admit a finite dimensional model for , the classifying space for the family of the finite subgroups of G. We also conjecture that the type Φ is equivalent to spli being finite, where spli is the supremum of the projective lengths of the injective -modules. Here we prove certain parts of these conjectures. The project is cofounded by the European Social Fund and National Resources–EPEAK II–Pythagoras. Received: 21 June 2006  相似文献

Let L be a bounded lattice. If for each a1 < b1L and a2 < b2L there is a lattice embedding ψ: [a1, b1] → [a2, b2] with ψ(a1) = a2 and ψ(b1) = b2, then we say that L is a quasifractal. If ψ can always be chosen to be an isomorphism or, equivalently, if L is isomorphic to each of its nontrivial intervals, then L will be called a fractal lattice. For a ring R with 1 let denote the lattice variety generated by the submodule lattices of R-modules. Varieties of this kind are completely described in [16]. The prime field of characteristic p will be denoted by Fp. Let be a lattice variety generated by a nondistributive modular quasifractal. The main theorem says that is neither too small nor too large in the following sense: there is a unique , a prime number or zero, such that and for any n ≥ 3 and any nontrivial (normalized von Neumann) n-frame of any lattice in , is of characteristic p. We do not know if in general; however we point out that, for any ring R with 1, implies . It will not be hard to show that is Arguesian. The main theorem does have a content, for it has been shown in [2] that each of the is generated by a single fractal lattice Lp; moreover we can stipulate either that Lp is a continuous geometry or that Lp is countable. The proof of the main theorem is based on the following result of the present paper: if is a nontrivial m-frame and is an n-frame of a modular lattice L with m, n ≥ 3 such that and , then these two frames have the same characteristic and, in addition, they determine a nontrivial mn-frame of the same characteristic in a canonical way, which we call the product frame. If is an initially hereditary family of finite subsets of positive integers (i.e., if and G is initial segment of F then ) and M an infinite subset of positive integers then we define an ordinal index . We prove that if is a family of finite subsets of positive integers such that for every the characteristic function χF is isolated point of the subspace
of { 0,1 }N with the product topology then for every infinite, where is the set of all initial segments of the members of and ω1 is the first uncountable ordinal. As a consequence of this result we prove that is Ramsey, i.e., if is a partition of then there exists an infinite subset M of positive integers such that
where [M]< ω is the family of all finite subsets of M.  相似文献

In this note, we show that if is a π-partial character of the π-separable group is a chain of normal subgroups of G, and H is a Hall π-subgroup of G, then has a Fong character α Irr(H) such that for every subgroup , every irreducible constituent of α HN is Fong for N. We also show that if is quasi-primitive, then for every normal subgroup M of G the irreducible constituents of are Fong for M. Received: 21 July 2006 Revised: 17 January 2007  相似文献

We propose a unifying framework for studying extremal problems related to graph minors. This framework relates the existence of a large minor in a given graph to its expansion properties. We then apply the developed framework to several extremal problems and prove in particular that: (a) Every -free graph G with average degree r ( are constants) contains a minor with average degree , for some constant ; (b) Every C2k-free graph G with average degree r (k ≥ 2 is a constant) contains a minor with average degree , for some constant cc(k) > 0. We also derive explicit lower bounds on the minor density in random, pseudo-random and expanding graphs. Received: March 2008, Accepted: May 2008  相似文献
