A 2 + 1-dimensional Volttera type lattice is proposed. Resorting to the nonlinearization of Lax pair, the 2 + 1-dimensional Volttera type lattice is decomposed into the known 1+1-dimensional differential-difference equations. The relation between a new 2 + 1-dimensional differential-difference equation, certain 1+1-dimensional continuous evolution equations and the known 1+1-dimensional differential-difference equations is discussed. Based on finite-order expansion of the Lax matrix, we introduce elliptic coordinates, from which the two 2 + 1-dimensional differential-difference equations are separated into solvable ordinary differential equations. The evolution of various flows is explicitly given through the Abel–Jacobi coordinates. Quasi-periodic solutions for the two 2 + 1-dimensional differential-difference equations are obtained.  相似文献

An essentially nonlinear differential-difference equation containing the product of the p-Laplacian and a difference operator is considered. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the corresponding nonlinear differential-difference operator to be coercive and pseudomonotone in the case of nonvariational statement of the differential equation. The existence of a generalized solution to the Dirichlet problem for the nonlinear equation is proved.  相似文献

In the present paper, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of symmetry groups for systems of differential-difference equations with partial derivatives. Constructions of symmetry groups and recursion operators for various differential-difference equations are described. In this paper, we study a differential-difference equation associated with discrete 3 × 3 matrix spectral problem. Based on gauge transformation of the spectral problm, Darboux transformation of the differential-difference equation is given. In order to solve the differential-difference equation, a systematic algebraic algorithm is given. A systematic method to derive the nonlocal symmetries for partial differential and differential-difference equations with two independent variables is presented and shown that the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and Burger's equations, Volterra and relativistic Toda (RT) lattice equations admit a sequence of nonlocal symmetries. An algorithm, exploiting the obtained nonlocal symmetries, is proposed to derive recursion operators involving nonlocal variables and illustrated it for the KdV and Burger's equations, Volterra and RT lattice equations and shown that the former three equations admit factorisable recursion operators while the RT lattice equation possesses (2×2) matrix factorisable recursion operator. The existence of nonlocal symmetries and the corresponding recursion operator of partial differential and differential-difference equations does not always determine their mathematical structures, for example, bi-Hamiltonian representation.  相似文献

In the recent paper [Stud. App. Math. 147 (2021), 752], squared eigenfunction symmetry constraint of the differential-difference modified Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (DΔmKP) hierarchy converts the DΔmKP system to the relativistic Toda spectral problem and its hierarchy. In this paper, we introduce a new formulation of independent variables in the squared eigenfunction symmetry constraint, under which the DΔmKP system gives rise to the discrete spectral problem and a hierarchy of the differential-difference derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation of the Chen–Lee–Liu type. In addition, by introducing nonisospectral flows, two sets of symmetries of the DΔmKP hierarchy and their algebraic structure are obtained. We then present a unified continuum limit scheme, by which we achieve the correspondence of the mKP and the DΔmKP hierarchies and their integrable structures.  相似文献

A plane wave is scattered by an acoustically soft or hard sphere, covered by a penetrable non‐concentric spherical lossless shell that disturbs the propagation of the incident wave field. The dimensions of the coated sphere are much smaller than the wavelength of the incident field. Low‐frequency theory reduces this scattering problem to a sequence of potential problems, which can be solved iteratively. Exactly one bispherical coordinate system exists that fits the given geometry of the obstacle. For the case of a soft and hard core, the exact low‐frequency coefficients of the zeroth and the first‐order for the near field as well as the first‐ and second‐order coefficients for the normalized scattering amplitude are obtained and the cross sections are calculated. This paper presents a new algebraic procedure to construct exact solutions of selected nonlinear differential-difference equations. The discrete sine-Gordon equation and differential-difference asymmetric Nizhnik-Novikov-Veselov equations are chosen as examples to illustrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the new procedure, where various types of exact travelling wave solutions for these nonlinear differential-difference equations have been constructed. It is anticipated that the new procedure can also be used to produce solutions for other nonlinear differential-difference equations.  相似文献

A family of integrable differential-difference equations is constructed through discrete zero curvature equation. The Hamiltonian structures of the resulting differential-difference equations are established by the discrete trace identity. The Bargmann symmetry constraint of the resulting family is presented. Under this symmetry constraint, every differential-difference equation in the resulting family is factored by an integrable symplectic map and a finite-dimensional integrable system in Liouville sense.  相似文献

We consider the scalar linear second-order differential-difference equation with delay {fx159-01}. This equation is investigated by the method of polynomial quasisolutions based on the representation of an unknown function in the form of a polynomial {ie159-01}. Upon the substitution of this polynomial in the original equation, the residual Δ(t) = O(t N−1) appears. An exact analytic representation of this residual is obtained. This work proposes a method for embedding evolutionary strategy (ES) in ordinal optimization (OO), abbreviated as ESOO, for solving real-time hard optimization problems with time-consuming evaluation of the objective function and a huge discrete solution space. Firstly, an approximate model that is based on a radial basis function (RBF) network is utilized to evaluate approximately the objective value of a solution. Secondly, ES associated with the approximate model is applied to generate a representative subset from a huge discrete solution space. Finally, the optimal computing budget allocation (OCBA) technique is adopted to select the best solution in the representative subset as the obtained “good enough” solution. The proposed method is applied to a hotel booking limits (HBL) problem, which is formulated as a stochastic combinatorial optimization problem with a huge discrete solution space. The good enough booking limits, obtained by the proposed method, have promising solution quality, and the computational efficiency of the method makes it suitable for real-time applications. To demonstrate the computational efficiency of the proposed method and the quality of the obtained solution, it is compared with two competing methods – the canonical ES and the genetic algorithm (GA). Test results demonstrate that the proposed approach greatly outperforms the canonical ES and GA.  相似文献

A differential-difference version of the Loewner–Konopelchenko–Rogers (LKR) system is constructed by discretization of the spatial variables in the continuous LKR system. The differential-difference LKR system admits a diversity of significant reductions. The symmetry algebras of the discrete LKR system and its reductions are shown to possess underlying Kac–Moody–Virasoro type structure. A discrete dromion-like solution of the LKR system is constructed via finite symmetry group transformation.  相似文献
