The KP hierarchy consists of an infinite system of nonlinear partial differential equations and is determined by Lax equations, which can be constructed using pseudodifferential operators. The KP hierarchy and the associated Lax equations can be generalized by using pseudodifferential operators of several variables. We construct Baker functions associated to those generalized Lax equations of several variables and prove some of the properties satisfied by such functions. 相似文献

We consider a physical system which is coupled indirectly to a Markovian resevoir through an oscillator mode. This is the
case, for example, in the usual model of an atomic sample in a leaky optical cavity which is ubiquitous in quantum optics.
In the strong coupling limit the oscillator can be eliminated entirely from the model, leaving an effective direct coupling
between the system an the resevoir. Here we provide a mathematically rigorous treatment of this limit as a weak limit of the
time evolution and observables on a suitably chosen exponential domain in Fock space. The resulting effective model may contain
emission and absorption as well as scattering interactions.

A technique of coordinate transformation is devised to overcome the computational difficulty associated with the direct transformation between eigenfunctions of three components of the geometric momentum on two-dimensional spherical surface, and the computations are firstly carried out in new coordinates and secondly the results are transformed back into the original coordinates. Formulas for calculating Legendre functions and associated Legendre functions of the first kind of complex degree using an Ermakov—Lewis invariant are presented. These formulas are straight-forward to implement numerically and are motivated by the lack of computational routines in standard university tools like those of MatLab and Maple. Angular waves propagating in opposite directions are also obtained. The results are particularly useful in complex angular momentum theories and nearside/farside analysis of spin-dependent angular scattering from central potentials. 相似文献

We determine the Riemannian manifolds for which the group of exact volume preserving diffeomorphisms is a totally geodesic subgroup of the group of volume preserving diffeomorphisms, considering right invariant L2-metrics. The same is done for the subgroup of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms as a subgroup of the group of symplectic diffeomorphisms in the Kähler case. These are special cases of totally geodesic subgroups of diffeomorphisms with Lie algebras big enough to detect the vanishing of a symmetric 2-tensor field. 相似文献
