By using a short pulse broad band (2 GHz) CO2 laser around a single well detuned line (15 GHz), it is possible to analyse, with sub-ns resolution, the dynamics of a broadband FIR Raman scattering. When the Raman gain is large, well modulated ns emissions are detected also for resonant lines. Generally the pseudo cavity effects, are always present. They have important effects on the gain, in particular an aligned input window has a large positive effect on the Raman gain and on the generation of mode-locked FIR forward emissions  相似文献

基于大气激光后向散射光谱,研究和设计了探测大气CO2浓度的Raman激光雷达,其发射机采用Nd∶YAG激光的三倍频354.7nm作为工作波长,发射的单脉冲能量350mJ,重复频率20Hz;接收机采用了光电倍增管(量子效率25%)和光子计数器(计数速率200MHz),探测CO2的Raman散射371.66nm(频移1285cm-1)信号,(1小时累加)近地面2.5km以内信噪比不小于8.采用组合滤光片来抑制强的354.7nm Mie-Rayleigh后向散射和氧气375.4nm Raman后向散射对信号的严重干扰. 比较分别来自大气CO2和参考气体N2的Raman后向散射回波,可反演出大气中CO2的相对浓度. 关键词: 大气光学 激光雷达 Raman散射光谱 参考气体 Mie-Rayleigh散射  相似文献

By replacing the conventional (non line-selective) unstable resonator, we succeeded in developing the very high power line-selective (line-tunable) CO2 laser as a pumping source for high power molecular gas (e.g.NH3) lasers in the infrared and far-infrared regions.The experiments were performed by using the very high power CO2 laser (4A unit of Lekko VIII) at The Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University.The output power of 9R(30)9.22µ m line from the developed CO2 laser, for instance, exceeded 0.5GW/pulse (50J/pulse with pulse width of 100nsec).  相似文献

A TE CO2 infrared emission apparatus with a half cavity is described . Via grating-tune the emissions p(12)–p(28), 00°1–10°0 of CO2 are obtained for gas mixtures of 15%CO2:20% N2:65%He and 20%CO2:15%N2:65%He at a total pressure of 60 kPa; the output energy and pulse width are 20–850 mJ and 60–70 ns, respectively.  相似文献

The conformatiopn of polystyrene in the anti-solvent process of supercritical fluids(compressed CO2 polystyrene toluene)has been studied by small angle x-ray scattering with synchrotron radiation as an x-ray source.Coilto-globule transformation of the polystyrene chain was observed with the increase of the anti-solvent CO2 pressure;i.e.polystrene coiled at a prssure lower than the cloud point pressure(Pc)and turned into a globle with a uniform density at pressures higher than Pc.Fractal behaviour was also found in the chain contraction.and the mass fractal dimension increased with increasing CO2 pressure.  相似文献

A compact capacitor-transfer TEA CO2 laser of 180 mJ output energy and 50 ns pulse duration in half width was designed and constructed for field use. This laser is suitable for laser microprobe spectrochemical analysis on geological and mining samples. Experiments show that the use of helium as a surrounding gas suppresses the continuous emission spectrum of the plasma, thus increasing the S/N ratio. Using glass as standard samples, the minimum detectable concentrations are estimated with Zn neutral line and F ionic line to be 60 ppm and 500 ppm, respectively.  相似文献

A compacted size high power CO2 laser has been developed using an acousto-optically (AO) Q-switch. Performance characteristics have been investigated as a function of output mirror transmittance. The theory of six-temperature model for CO2 lasers has firstly been utilized to analyze the dynamical process in the AO Q-switched CO2 laser. This theory perfectly explains the behavior of energy transfer between different molecules in laser gain medium, and describes the shape of pulse laser. The calculated pulse waveforms are in good agreement with the experimental result. Both the experimental and theoretical results present that the optimal value of output mirror transmittance is 39%. Under this condition, the measured peak power is 4750 W and pulsed width is 160 ns, which is consistent with the calculations. Six-temperature model is a perfect theory for CO2 laser kinetics, which will lay a theoretical foundation for the laser optimum design.  相似文献

A simple method for the generation of short, single-mode CO2 laser pulses produced by applying two voltage gates (of amplitude 3Uλ/4 and Uλ/4) to an electro-optic Q-switch placed in a three-mirror cavity is proposed. Single, single-mode, well-synchronizable pulses of 3 ns duration and of 3 mJ energy have been experimentally achieved from a TEA CO2 laser with an intracavity Pockels cell with 3 ns switching time. Using a numerical simulation it is shown that with shorter switching time (≈1 ns) the method enables one to obtain, from such a laser, a single, megawatt pulse of 1 ns duration.  相似文献

The thresholds for CO2 laser induced breakdown and their variation with pulse width have been measured at various pressures for Ar, N2 and an 8/1/1 laser mixture of He/CO2/N2 using 3–40 ns duration pulses. These measurements indicate that excited state production plays a dominant role in determining the threshold for nanosecond duration pulses. This has been confirmed by the good agreement obtained between the measured and theoretical thresholds.  相似文献

Pulsed sealed off CO2 laser operation at 19 atm gas pressure has been demonstrated by pumping DF/CO2/He mixtures with radiation from a pulsed DF laser. DF acts as an absorber for the pumping radiation, and the CO2 upper laser level is populated via subsequent energy transfer. CO2 pulse energy at 19 atm was 0.5 mJ corresponding to a photon conversion efficiency of 4% measured relative to the number of absorbed pumping photons.  相似文献

In single-pass configuration, a picosecond pulse laser was used to investigate the stimulated Raman scattering in different BaWO4 crystals. Using the thresholds for the first Stokes line along the a- and c-axis, the Raman gain coefficients of the BaWO4 crystals were calculated along their respective direction. The higher Stokes (fourth) and anti-Stokes (third) lines were observed. Compared with other well-known Raman crystals, such as KGd(WO4)2 and Ba(NO3)2, BaWO4 has favorable properties for scattering the pump radiation with picosecond pulse duration. The Raman gain coefficients of BaWO4 are different, but do not vary for different transmission directions, which means that this Raman material can be selected more freely.  相似文献

We report the results of an X-ray diffraction study of CdAl2Se4 and of Raman studies of HgAl2Se4 and ZnAl2Se4 at room temperature, and of CdAl2S4 and CdAl2Se4 at 80 K at high pressure. The ambient pressure phase of CdAl2Se4 is stable up to a pressure of 9.1 GPa above which a phase transition to a disordered rock salt phase is observed. A fit of the volume pressure data to a Birch-Murnaghan type equation of state yields a bulk modulus of 52.1 GPa. The relative volume change at the phase transition at ∼9 GPa is about 10%. The analysis of the Raman data of HgAl2Se4 and ZnAl2Se4 reveals a general trend observed for different defect chalcopyrite materials. The line widths of the Raman peaks change at intermediate pressures between 4 and 6 GPa as an indication of the pressure induced two stage order-disorder transition observed in these materials. In addition, we include results of a low temperature Raman study of CdAl2S4 and CdAl2Se4, which shows a very weak temperature dependence of the Raman-active phonon modes.  相似文献

In this paper, the semiclassical density matrix equation was solved to calculate the spectral characteristics of V2:a--sR(0,0) transition in a miniature optically pumped NH3 far infrared laser (mini-NH3-OPFIRL), which was pumped by CO2-10R(6) line. The results of theoretical calculation showed that the spikes in Raman spectrum of V2:a--sR(0,0) would appear when the operating NH3 gas pressure was higher than a certain critical value or pumping power density was lower than a certain critical value, which was caused by Raman processes interaction of AC-Stark splitting. In our experiment, 298 µm FIR spetral line of a--sR(0,0) pumped by a TEA-CO2 laser with 10R(6) line was observed but the spikes could not be observed owing to the limitation of the resolution of the F-P interferometer.Supported by the National Natural Sciences Foundation of P.R.China.  相似文献

Summary Using a high pressure CO2-laser we have studied laser action in12CD3F stimulated by R-branch pumping. We used an arrangement with low-feedback mirrors as suitable for Raman laser action. However, no Raman laser action has been observed in12CD3F though similar experimental conditions were met as for12CH3F and13CH3F. The reason for the different behavior of the gases is not yet clear.Instead of Raman laser action we found 15 FIR resonant laser lines with 13 of them unknown up to now in the frequency range from 50 cm–1 to 68 cm–1. We reached FIR pulse energies up to 900 J, corresponding to a photon conversion efficiency of 12%. For our arrangement the optimum operation pressure varied from 40 torr at low J values (J=36) to 70 torr at high J values (J=49).  相似文献

An effective single-longitudinal mode (SLM) pulse TEA CO2 laser operation was demonstrated using a Michelson’s type resonator with a tilting Fabry-Perot etalon. A modified numerical model of the interference resonator was investigated for designing the laser. The experimentally measured values were found to have good agreement with the numerical model. A pulse width of about 90 ns and the maximum pulse energy of about 300 mJ were achieved at 10.59 μm in SLM and TEM00 mode. The reliability of producing SLM pulses was 100% and there was no damage on the etalon. By turning the interference resonator, the SLM output was tuned 44 lines of the CO2 spectrum.  相似文献

Raman spectra of the orthorhombic (II) and high pressure (III) phases of titanium dioxide at pressures to 372 kbar and effects of temperature and hydrostatic pressure on Raman spectra of the tetagonal cassiterite-like phases of TiO2, GeO2 and SnO2 are described. At room temperature, the TiO2 II–III transition is sluggish, and metastable coexistence was observed from 200 to 300 kbar. The Raman spectra of TiO2-III imply that its primitive cell contains at least four formula units; however, the structure could not be established from the Raman spectra and available powder X-ray diffraction patterns.The temperature and pressure dependences of the spectrum of the tetragonal MO2 phases together with bulk moduli and thermal expansion data were used to evaluate the pure-volume and pure-temperature contributions to the isobaric temperature dependence of the Raman frequencies. Large anharmonicities in TiO2 are attributed to hybridization of the oxygen p states with the d states of the Ti ion. GeO2, where p-electron bonding is involved, is much less Enharmonic.  相似文献

By pumping CH3F with a high pressure tunable TE-CO2 laser, the resonant four-wave mixing process (RFWM) generates a very efficient tunable single line FIR emission at the Raman frequency. This result is strictly related to the spectroscopic structure of the CH3F molecule. By means of this process, a tunable FIR emission on a 0.1 cm–1 bandwidth 150 kW (8 mJ) single line, is obtained which can be used for many FIR multiphoton applications.  相似文献

Investigations are reported on the frequency characteristics of the cw high pressure CO2 laser and its use for high precision spectroscopy. The problem of using a cw tunable CO2 laser with a mixture of a few isotopes (12C16O2, 12C18O2, 12C16O18O and others) in a cw high pressure tunable CO2 laser is discussed. Broadening of the tuning range has given us the opportunity to find seven new absorption lines of SF6 near the transition P(20) of the 0001–1000 band of the CO2 laser.  相似文献
