The new iodoammonium salts o-C6H4(NH2)2I+I (1) and o-C6H4(NH2)2I+ AsF6 (2) were prepared by reaction of o-phenylene diamine with I2 or I3+AsF6, respectively. Compound 1 reacts with AlI3 yielding quantitatively the corresponding tetraiodoaluminate o-C6H4(NH2)2I+AlI4 (3). The species were characterized by chemical analysis, vibrational (IR and Raman) and temperature-dependent 1H NMR spectropscopy. Direct evidence for a N---I bond was found in the Raman spectra of 1, 2 and 3 (ν(NI) = 599–600 cm−1).  相似文献

The paper reports results of a study on the specific adsorption of F, Cl, Br, I, ClO3, BrO3, IO3 and IO4 on hydrous γ-Al2O3. The isotherms of the anion adsorption and the adsorption dependencies on pH and the ionic strength of the solution have been determined under the equilibrium conditions. According to the degree of affinity to γ-Al2O3, the anions can be ordered as: I3334−. It has been established that the sorption of IO4 and F involves the formation of surface complexes in the inner co-ordination sphere, whereas that of Cl, Br, I, ClO3, BrO3 and IO3 takes place through formation of ion pair complexes in the outer co-ordination sphere. In the dynamic system, the exchange isoplanes and elution curves have been determined for selected anions on columns filled with Al2O3. It has been shown that γ-Al2O3 can be used for isolation and concentration of IO3 from natural waters in order to decrease the limit of the ions determination to 2 μg l−1. Using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), after isolation and concentration on γ-Al2O3, the content of iodates has been determined in mineral, marine and tap water doped with these ions.  相似文献

The complex equilibria between HCrO4 and Cl ions has been studied spectrophotometrically at a constant ionic strength of 3.0 mol dm−3 and the data have been analyzed both graphically and numerically by means of the program LETAGROP-SPEFO (L. G. Sillen and B. Warnquist, Arkiv. kemi. 1968, 31, 377). The experimental results can be explained on the basis of the following reaction: HCrO4+H++Cl = CrO3Cl+H2O (log β11 = 1.37±0.08). Molar absorptivities of HCrO4 and CrO3Cl were also reported.  相似文献

The infrared spectra of solid samples of C4H7K and C4D7K have been investigated in the 4000 to 30 cm−1 range. A complete assignment of intramolecular fundamentals of C4H7 and C4D7 ions and of potassium-allyl vibrations is proposed and the intramolecular force constants are calculated. The C(CH2)32− anion has been identified spectroscopically. Structures of C3H5, C4H7 and C(CH3)32− are discussed and compared with those optimised by the MINDO/3 method.  相似文献

Polarized absorption spectra of Ba(MnO4)2·3H2O/Ba(ClO4)2·3H2O mixed single crystals are reported at 4.2°K. Previous 1T21A1 assignments for the 5200 Å and 3000 Å absorption bands of MnO4 are substantiated; further support is provided for the 1T11A1 assignment of the 3600 Å absorption band of MnO4. The site-splitting of the 5200 Å 1T2 state is E(1E)−E(1A) ≈ −150 cm−1; that of the 3000 Å 1T2 state is E(1E)−E(1A) ≈ 300 cm−1. A significant e vibronic intensity component is observed in the 5200 Å 1T2 state.  相似文献

A rapid potentiometric flow injection technique for the simultaneous determination of oxychlorine species such as ClO3–ClO2 and ClO3–HClO has been developed, using both a redox electrode detector and a Fe(III)–Fe(II) potential buffer solution containing chloride. The analytical method is based on the detection of a large transient potential change of the redox electrode due to chlorine generated via the reaction of the oxychlorine species with chloride in the potential buffer solution. The sensitivities to HClO and ClO2 obtained by the transient potential change were enhanced 700–800-fold over that using an equilibrium potential. The detection limit of the present method for HClO and ClO2 is as low as 5×10−8 M with use of a 5×10−4 M Fe(III)–1×10−3 M Fe(II) buffer containing 0.3 M KCl and 0.5 M H2SO4. On the other hand, sensitivity to ClO3 was low when a potential buffer solution containing 0.5 M H2SO4 was used, but could be increased largely by increasing the acidity of the potential buffer. The detection limit for ClO3 was 2×10−6 M with the use of a 5×10−4 M Fe(III)–1×10−3 M Fe(II) buffer containing 0.3 M KCl and 9 M H2SO4. By utilizing the difference in reactivity of oxychlorine species with chloride in the potential buffer, a simultaneous determination method for a mixed solution of ClO3–ClO2 or ClO3–HClO was designed to detect, in a timely manner, a transient potential change with the use of two streams of potential buffers which contain different concentrations of sulfuric acid. Analytical concentration ranges of oxychlorine species were 2×10−5–2×10−4 M for ClO3, and 1×10−6–1×10−5 M for HClO and ClO2. The reproducibility of the present method was in the range 1.5–2.3%. The reaction mechanism for the transient potential change used in the present method is also discussed, based on the results of batchwise experiments. The simultaneous determination method was applied to the determination of oxychlorine species in a tap water sample, and was found to provide an analytical result for HClO, which was in good agreement with that obtained by the o-tolidine method and to provide a good recovery for ClO3 added to the sample.  相似文献

Reactions of OH radicals and some one-electron oxidants with 2-aminopyridine (2-AmPy) and 3-aminopyridine (3-AmPy) were studied in aqueous solutions using pulse radiolysis technique. The OH adduct of 2-AmPy at pH 9 has an absorption maximum at 360 nm along with a weak absorption band in the visible region and was found to be reactive with oxygen. The rate constant for its reaction with O2 was determined to be 1.0×108 dm3 mol−1 s−1. At pH 4 also, the OH adduct of 2-AmPy has an absorption band at 360 nm. However, there are differences in the absorption at other wavelengths. From the plot of ΔOD vs. pH at 340 nm, the pKa of the OH adduct was determined to be 6.5. Among the specific oxidants, only SO4−√ radicals were able to oxidize 2-AmPy. In the case of 3-aminopyridine (3-AmPy), the transient species formed by OH radical reaction at pH 9 has an absorption maximum at 410 nm with shoulder bands on both the sides. Its absorption spectrum at pH 4 was different indicating the existence of a pK value for the OH adduct. pKa of 3-AmPy-OH radical adduct species was evaluated to be 5.7. This adduct species was also found to be reactive with oxygen (k=7.6×106 dm3 mol−1 s−1). Specific one-electron oxidants like N3, Br2−√ C2−√ and SO4−√ were able to oxidize 3-AmPy indicating that it is easier to oxidize 3-AmPy as compared to 2-AmPy.  相似文献

Reaction of L {L = [24]aneS8, [28]aneS8} with two molar equivalents of [Cu(NCMe)4]X (X = ClO4, BF4, PF6) in MeCN affords the white binuclear copper(I) complexes [Cu2(L)]2+. A single crystal X-ray structure determination of [CU2([24]aneS8)](BF4)2 shows two tetrahedral copper(I) centres, each of which is coordinated to four thioether sulphur-donors, Cu---S(1) = 2.263(3), Cu---S(4) = 2.363(3), Cu---S(7) = 2.349(3), Cu---S(10) = 2.261(3) Å. The Cu … Cu distance is 5.172(3) Å. A single crystal X-ray structure determination Of [CU2([28]aneS8)](ClO4)2 shows that this complex also contain two tetrahedral copper(I) centres, each coordinated to four thioether sulphur-donors, Cu---S(1) = 2.278(5), Cu---S(4) = 2.333(5), Cu---S(8) = 2.328(5), CU---S(11) = 2.268(5) Å. The Cu … Cu distance of 6.454(3) Å is greater than in [CU2([24]aneS8)]2+ , reflecting the greater cavity size in [CU2([28]aneS8)]2+. Cyclic voltammetry of [CU2([24]aneS8)]2+ and [CU2([28]aneS8)]2+ at platinum electrodes in MeCN (0.1 M nBU4NPF6) shows irreversible oxidations at Epa, = +0.88 V, +0.92 V vs Fc/Fc+, respectively, at a scan rate of 200 mV s−1. Coulometric measurements in MeCN confirm these oxidations to be two-electron (one electron per copper) processes to give binuclear copper(II) species. Oxidation of the binuclear copper(I) precursors with H2SO4 or HNO3 affords ESR-active copper(II) species which presumably incorporate SO42− and NO3 bridges.  相似文献

The crystal structures of propionaldehyde complex (RS,SR)-(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHCH2CH3)]+ PF6 (1b+ PF6s−; monoclinic, P21/c (No. 14), a = 10.166 (1) Å, b = 18.316(1) Å, c = 14.872(2) Å, β = 100.51(1)°, Z = 4) and butyraldehyde complex (RS,SR)-[(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHCH2CH2CH3)]+ PF6 (1c+PF6; monoclinic, P21/a (No. 14), a = 14.851(1) Å, b = 18.623(3) Å, c = 10.026(2) Å, β = 102.95(1)°, Z = 4) have been determined at 22°C and −125°C, respectively. These exhibit C O bond lengths (1.35(1), 1.338(5) Å) that are intermediate between those of propionaldehyde (1.209(4) Å) and 1-propanol (1.41 Å). Other geometric features are analyzed. Reaction of [(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(ClCH2Cl)]+ BF4 and pivalaldehyde gives [(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHC(CH3)3)]+BF4 (81%), the spectroscopic properties of which establish a π C O binding mode.  相似文献

Pulse radiolysis technique has been employed to study the reactions of oxidizing (OH, N3) and reducing radicals (eaq, CO2√−, acetone ketyl radical) with 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde (o-vanillin) at different pH. Hydroxyl radicals react mostly by addition reaction forming radical adducts (λmax=420 nm) and the oxidation is only a minor process even in the alkaline region. The reaction with azide radicals produced phenoxyl radicals (λmax=340 nm), which are formed on fast deprotonation of solute radical cation. Using PMZ√+/PMZ and ABTS√−/ABTS2− as the reference couple, different methods are employed to determine the one-electron reduction potential of o-vanillin and the average value is estimated to be 1.076±0.004 V vs. NHE at pH 6. The phenoxyl radicals of o-vanillin were able to oxidize ABTS2− quantitatively. The eaq is observed to react with o-vanillin with rate constant value of 2×1010 dm3 mol−1 s−1. CO2√− and acetone ketyl radical are also observed to react with o-vanillin by electron transfer mechanism and showed the formation of transient absorption bands with λmax at 350 and 390 nm at pH 4.5 and 9.7, respectively. The pKa of the one-electron reduced species was determined to be 8.1. The results indicate that the aldehydic group is the most preferred site for electron addition.  相似文献

The self-termination rates of the benzyl radical (C6H5---CH2) and para-substituted benzyl radicals (X---C6H4---CH2) were studied in aqueous solutions. The Arrhenius parameters and activation energies were determined in the temperature range 275.5–328 K. The kinetic activation energies of these radicals were close to the dynamic activation energy of the solvent, indicating that the termination rate is controlled by diffusion. The values for the rate constants (2kt (109 dm3 mol−1 s−1)) and the activation energies (E (kJ mol−1)) were 5.94±0.52 and 14.69±0.61 for CH3O---C6H4---CH2, 4.52±0.2 and 17.65±1.16 for CH37z.sbnd;C6H4---CH2, 3.07±0.45 and 17.58±0.97 for H---C6H4---CH2, 4.13±0.81 and 19.10±1.20 for Cl---C6H4---CH2 and 4.17±0.44 and 14.62±0.52 for NO2---C6H4---CH2.  相似文献

This paper describes an electrostatic ion chromatographic system in which the separation selectivity for inorganic anions, especially for sulfate and phosphate, could be manipulated by altering the molar ratio of the zwitterionic and cationic surfactants in the column coating solution used to prepare the stationary phase. The zwitterionic surfactant used for this study was 3-(N,N-dimethyltetradecylammonio)propanesulfonate (Zwittergent-3-14) and the cationic surfactant was tetradecyltrimethylammonium (TTA). Using a reversed-phase C18 column (250×4.6 mm I.D.) coated with 10/10 (mM/mM) of TTA/Zwittergent-3-14 mixed micelles as the stationary phase and either NaHCO3 or Na2CO3 aqueous solution as the eluent, together with suppressed conductivity detection, baseline separation of seven model inorganic anions was obtained. The elution order for those anions was found to be F42−42−23. Under the same conditions but using 1/10 (mM/mM) of TTA/Zwittergent-3-14 mixed micelles as the column coating solution, the elution order for these model ions was F42−42−23. The early elution of phosphate and sulfate is a unique attribute of this system. Detection limits for F, HPO42−, Cl, SO42−, NO2, Br and NO3 (S/N=3, sample injection volume 100 μl) were 0.11, 0.12, 0.12, 0.18, 0.49, 0.49, 0.52 μM, respectively.  相似文献

The tetrahydroxoargentate(III) ion, Ag(OH)4, is rapidly reduced by thiourea (tu) in accordance with the three term rate law RATE = {k1+(k2+k3[OH])[tu]}[AgIII] where k1 = 1.08 s−1, k2 = 1.46 x 103 M−1 s−1, and k3 = 2.02 x 103 M−2 s−1. The k1 path occurs via the rate-determining aquation of Ag(OH)4 while the other two paths involve axial attack of thiourea on silver. The higher values of k2 and k3 compared to the ethylenediamine reaction, which obeys the same rate law, is a reflection of the greater nucleophilicity of tu.

Following the redox reaction, solutions become brown in a reaction that obeys pseudo-first-order kinetics. Similar behaviour is observed when tu is replaced by Na2S or thio-acetamide and when AgI reacts with any of these sulphur containing compounds. We attribute this process to the AgI promoted formation of sulphide species which eventually precipitate as Ag2S.  相似文献

The generality of a two-electron reduction process involving an mechanism has been established for M3(CO)12 and M3(CO)12n(PPh3)n (M = Ru, Os) clusters in all solvents. Detailed coulometric and spectral studies in CH2Cl2 provide strong evidence for the formation of an ‘opened’ M3(CO)122− species the triangulo radical anions M3(CO)12−· having a half-life of < 10−6 s in CH2Cl2. However, the electrochemical response is sensitive to the presence of water and is concentration dependent. An electrochemical response for “opened” M3(CO)122− is only detected at low concentrations < 5 × 10−4 mol dm−3 and under drybox conditions. The electroactive species ground at higher concentrations and in the presence of water M3(CO)112− and M6(CO)182− were confirmed by a study of the electrochemistry of these anions in CH2Cl2; HM3(CO)11 is not a product. The couple [M6(CO)18]−/2− is chemically reversible under certain conditions but oxidation of HM3(CO)11 is chemically irreversible. Different electrochemical behaviour for Ru3(CO)12 is found when [PPN][X] (X = OAc, Cl) salts are supporting electrolytes. In these solutions formation of the ultimate electroactive species [μ-C(O)XRu3(CO)10] at the electrode is stopped under CO or at low temperatures but Ru3(CO)12−· is still trapped by reversible attack by X presumably as [η1-C(O)XRu3(CO)11]. It is shown that electrode-initiated electron catalysed substitution of M3(CO)12 only takes place on the electrochemical timescale when M = Ru, but it is slow, inefficient and non-selective, whereas BPK-initiated nucleophilic substitution of Ru3(CO)12 is only specific and fast in ether solvents particulary THF. Metal---metal bond cleavage is the most important influence on the rate and specificity of catalytic substitution by electron or [PPN]-initiation. The redox chemistry of M3(CO)12 clusters (M = Fe, Ru, Os) is a consequence of the relative rates of metal---metal bond dissociation, metal-metal bond strength and ligand dissociation and in many aspects resembles their photochemistry.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pt25-C5Me5)2(η-Br)3]3+(Br)3 with C5R5H (R = H,Me) in the presence of AgBF4 gives the first platinocenium dications, [Pt(η5-C5Me5)(η5-C5R5)]2+(BF4 )2. Oxygen adsorption experiments were performed on evacuated and prereduced CeO2/SiO2 and CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts with and without platinum. Considerable amounts of the superoxide radical ions were stabilized on all the samples. Signal parameters suggest Ce4+–O2 positioning for all detectable superoxide species. Physisorbed oxygen broadens O2 signal beyond detection for all the alumina-based samples, while the same procedure for all the silica-based samples did not change signal shape of O2 species. Detectable O2 species are localized in the bulk of ceria and the nature of support (silica or alumina) determines the number of oxygen vacancies and the rate of electron transfer. XRD data suggest that for alumina-based samples small and/or thin islands of ceria dominate, while comparatively large ceria particles are stabilized on the surface of silica-based samples with the same ceria content. Average size of ceria crystallites is still not determining factor and cannot account for the observed differences. Higher concentrations of paramagnetic species may be stabilized on alumina-based samples and thus, sensor-like behavior towards gaseous oxygen at room temperature was detected for them—oxygen admission reversibly changes superoxide lineshape. For silica samples, only minor changes of O2 lineshapes were typical upon the change of the partial pressure of oxygen at ambient and low temperatures. Addition of platinum has little effect on parameters of the O2 signal, except an enhancement of the superoxide decay in the reducing media. Possible site for O2 stabilization inside the lattice of CeO2 was proposed and relevance of the observed effects to the redox catalysis discussed.  相似文献

Bismuth as BiCl4 and BH4 ware successively retained in a column (150 mm × 4 mm, length × i.d.) packed with Amberlite IRA-410 (strong anion-exchange resin). This was followed by passage of an injected slug of hydrochloric acid resulting in bismuthine generation (BiH3). BiH3 was stripped from the eluent solution by the addition of a nitrogen flow and the bulk phases were separated in a gas–liquid separator. Finally, bismutine was atomized in a quartz tube for the subsequent detection of bismuth by atomic absorption spectrometry. Different halide complexes of bismuth (namely, BiBr4, BiI4 and BiCl4) were tested for its pre-concentration, being the chloride complexes which produced the best results. Therefore, a concentration of 0.3 mol l−1 of HCl was added to the samples and calibration solutions. A linear response was obtained between the detection limit (3σ) of 0.225 and 80 μg l−1. The R.S.D.% (n = 10) for a solution containing 50 μg l−1 of Bi was 0.85%. The tolerance of the system to interferences was evaluated by investigating the effect of the following ions: Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Hg2+, Zn2+, and Mg2+. The most severe depression was caused by Hg2+, which at 60 mg l−1 caused a 5% depression on the signal. For the other cations, concentrations between 1000 and 10,000 mg l−1 could be tolerated. The system was applied to the determination of Bi in urine of patients under therapy with bismuth subcitrate. The recovery of spikes of 5 and 50 μg l−1 of Bi added to the samples prior to digestion with HNO3 and H2O2 was in satisfactory ranges from 95.0 to 101.0%. The concentrations of bismuth found in six selected samples using this procedure were in good agreement with those obtained by an alternative technique (ETAAS). Finally, the concentration of Bi determined in urine before and after 3 days of treatment were 1.94 ± 1.26 and 9.02 ± 5.82 μg l−1, respectively.  相似文献

A fast and effective method to study the aquation of rhodium(III) chlorocomplex in hydrochloric solutions using capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) is developed. At least five species, some of which seem to be oligomeric, are formed in solution during the aquation process at pH>1. The fast hydration of RhCl63− makes this species impossible to detect. The first species detected in the optimised conditions is RhCl5(H2O)2− although RhCl4(H2O)2 is the main species during the first stage of the aquation process. When equilibrium is reached either RhCl3(H2O)3 or a cationic complex, RhCl2(H2O)4+, is formed as the main species. Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is used as a novel technique to elucidate the structure of the rhodium aqua/chloro complexes formed in solution. Results obtained by CZE are confirmed by spectrophotometry.  相似文献

The quadrupole resonance spectra of the symmetrical ions I3, IBr2, ICl2, and Br3 are presented and assigned. Using the theory of Townes and Dailey the charge distributions in these ions are calculated. The agreement with theoretical calculations is rather good. The quadrupole resonance spectrum of the asymmetrical Br3 ion in CsBr3 is completed and for this ion too, the charge distribution is calculated.  相似文献
