Abstract

A series of novel diphenyl(arylamino)(1-phenyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylphosphonates have been synthesized in high yields. They were screened for their antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli (NCIM2065) as a Gram-negative bacterium, Bacillus subtilis (PC1219) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC25292) as Gram-positive bacteria, and Schccaromycies cerevisiae as a fungus. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of the synthetic compounds showed moderate antibacterial and antifungal activities at low concentrations (10–1000 μg/mL).

Abstract

A simple, efficient, and environmentally benign methodology has been accomplished for the synthesis of α-aminophosphonates by one-pot three-component reaction of ethyl-2-amino-α-(methoxy-imino)-4-thiazoleacetate, aldehydes, and diethylphosphite by using Amberlyst-15 as catalyst at room temperature under solvent-free conditions. Their chemical structures were characterized by infrared (IR), NMR (1H, 13C & 31P), mass spectral, and elemental analysis. All the title compounds were screened for radical-scavenging activity by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), nitic oxide (NO), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) methods.

Abstract

of 1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carbohydrazide (4) with substituted phenyl isothiocyanates (5) in ethanol under reflux for 30 min gave thiosemicarbazide derivatives 6, which on cyclization in 2N NaOH under refluxing conditions for 1 h resulted in 3-(5-mercapto- 4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,8-naphthyridin-4(1H)-one (7). Alternatively, 7 could also be prepared from following sequence of reactions, i.e., 4 → 8 → 7. In another sequence of reactions, condensation of 7 with chloroacetic acid in dimethylformamide (DMF) and K2CO3 as a mild base at 120 °C for 2 h resulted in 2-((5-(1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridin-3-yl)-4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)sulfanyl)acetic acid (10). The latter, on reaction with substituted o-phenylenediamine (11) in 6N HCl for 4 h yielded 3-(5-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methylthio)-4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,8-naphthyridin-4(1H)-one (12). Alternatively, 12 could also be prepared by reacting 7 with 13 in DMF and K2CO3 as a mild base at 120 °C for 2 h, followed by oxidation with H2O2 resulting in the corresponding sulfonyl derivatives 14.  相似文献

4-(5-Arylvinyl-2-oxazolyl)- and 4-(5-arylbutadienyl-2-oxazolyl)naphthalic anhydrides were synthesized by a phosphonate modification of the Wittig reaction from 4-(5-bromomethyl-2-oxazolyl)naphthalic anhydride. The structures of the aryl radicals and the steric hindrance created by some of them have a substantial effect on the absorption and luminescence of these compounds in solution. The introduction of each of the vinylene groups between the aryl and heterocyclic radicals causes approximately identical shifts in the spectra, but the Stokesian shift increases. These effects are reinforced considerably under the influence of electron-donor substituents in the aryl radical. The luminescence maxima of the investigated substances range from 515 to 710 nm, and the absolute quantum yields range from 0.12 to 0.51.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 5, pp. 611–613, May, 1977.  相似文献

2-(4-Cyanophenyl)-5-aryloxazoles have been obtained by dyhydration of 4-(5-aryloxazolyl-2)benzamides with thionyl chloride in DMFA, then the spectral and luminescent properties of the former have been investigated. Abstract

A novel series of pyrazole derivatives containing substituted phenylsulfinyl/sulfonyl group have been synthesized via the oxidation of intermediate pyrazole sulfoether with H2O2 in acetic acid. The novel compounds were characterized by melting point, 1H NMR, FT-IR, MS, and elemental analysis or HRMS. The biological activity results showed that most of the title compounds exhibit significant fungicidal activities against Alternaria solani Sorauer, Phytophthora capsici, and Corynespora cassiicola.

Three series of mesomorphic 2-acyloxy-5-phenylazotropones with alkoxy, alkyl, and alkoxycarbonyl groups at C-4 on the phenyl ring were prepared. It was known that the corresponding 5-phenylazotropolone derivatives and their methyl ethers were not mesomorphic. 2-Acetyl-5-(4-hexyloxyphenylazo)tropone, however, shows a monotropic smectic A phase. Even an acetyl group is therefore able to induce a mesophase. The effects of terminal substitution of the tropone ring by groups such as alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, and alkyl on the clearing points are discussed.  相似文献

A method has been developed for the synthesis of substituted 4-hydroxy- and 4-amino-2-methyl-3-(2-methylindol-3-yl)methylquinolines by treating the corresponding 4-hydroxy(chloro)-2-methyl-3-(3-oxobutyl)quinolines with phenylhydrazine hydrochloride. It was found that nucleophilic substitution occurred in the case of the 4-chloroquinolines together with subsequent rearrangement to give the 4-amino derivatives. Abstract

The metabolism of 5, 5-diphenylhydantoin was studied in the newborn human in two instances; one involved direct administration of the drug, and the other was by placental transfer of the drug from the mother. 5-(3,4-Dihydroxy-1, 5-cyclohexadien-1-yl)-5-phenylhydantoin was found to be a major metabolite. The GC and GC-MS methods employed here are well suited to the problem of studying drug metabolism in the newborn.  相似文献

A synthetic route to 4(5)-(beta-D-ribofuranosyl)imidazole (1), starting from 2,3,5-tri-O-benzyl-D-ribose (5), was developed via a Mitsunobu cyclization. Reaction of 5 with the lithium salt of bis-protected imidazole afforded the corresponding 5-ribosylimidazole 7RS. Hydrolysis of 7RS gave a 1:1 mixture of diol isomers 8R and 8S having an unsubstituted imidazole. Mitsunobu cyclization of the mixture 8RS using N,N,N',N'-tetramethylazodicarboxamide and Bu(3)P exclusively afforded benzylated beta-ribofuranosyl imidazole 9beta in 92% yield, accompanied by alpha-anomer 9alpha, in a ratio of 26.3:1. The configuration of 9beta was established by X-ray crystallography of ethoxycarbonyl derivative 10beta. Reductive debenzylation of 9beta over Pd/C was carried out, and the synthesis of 1 was attained from starting 5 in four steps and 87% overall yield. This synthetic methodology was extended to the synthesis of 4(5)-(2-deoxy-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)imidazole (2). Mitsunobu cyclization of a 1:1 mixture of the corresponding diol isomers 14RS produced 15beta and 15alpha in a ratio of 5.4:1. The synthesis of 2 was attained in a 59% overall yield from the starting 3,5-di-O-benzyl-2-deoxy-D-ribose (12). beta-Stereoselective glycosylation in the key step is discussed and explained by intramolecular hydrogen bonding between an NH in the imidazole and the oxygen functional group in the sugar moiety.  相似文献
