Main results of acousto-optic investigations in physical acoustics of solids obtained in Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute during recent yeas are presented. Both monocrystals, and glass alloys of different compositions were used as objects of researches. The studies were fulfilled in wide ranges of optical wavelengths (0.63-10.6 mkm), temperatures (77-400 K) and frequencies (10-1800 MHz) of bulk and surface acoustic waves.  相似文献

The theory of acoustooptic interaction of beams taking into account the drift and spreading of beams in an anisotropic medium is presented. The problem is solved analytically for a weak interaction of Gaussian beams close to forbidden directions. The possibility of existence of collinear diffraction of wave beams along the direction forbidden for interaction of plane waves is shown theoretically. The interaction appearing close to such a direction was found to result in a certain distortion of the beam shape. The calculation performed for a paratellurite crystal shows that the efficiency of the diffraction along the forbidden direction can reach 10% at the acoustic power usually used.  相似文献

We obtain equations for the Bragg regime of acoustooptic diffraction of light in two-dimensional photonic crystals. We determine applicability conditions of the single-wave approximation, in which it is sufficient to take into account only one Fourier component of each of Bloch waves involved in the acoustooptic interaction. In the single-wave approximation, we obtain formulas that make it possible to estimate the acoustooptic figures of merit of a photonic crystal. We show that, in a photonic crystal, higher acoustooptic figures of merit can be achieved than in the materials that make up the crystal.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the spin-polarized electron transport for a wide-narrow-wide (WNW) quantum wire under the modulation of Rashba spin-orbit interaction (SOI). The influence of both the structure of the quantum wire and the interference between different pairs of subbands on the spin-polarized electron transport is taken into account simultaneously via the spin-resolved lattice Green function method. It is found that a very large vertical spin-polarized current can be generated by the SOI-induced effective magnetic field at the structure-induced Fano resonance even in the presence of strong disorder. Furthermore, the magnitude of the spin polarization can be tuned by the Rashba SOI strength and structural parameters. Those results may provide an effective way to design a spin filter device without containing any magnetic materials or applying a magnetic field.  相似文献

The unsteady aerodynamics and interaction noise of streamlined bodies are modeled in terms of the Euler equations linearized about a nonuniform flow. The validity of the inviscid approach is supported by recent LES simulations of an airfoil in a gust indicating that for not-too-small impinging excitations, the interaction process is dominated by inertia forces. Results in the present paper are focused on the aerodynamics and interaction noise of a turbofan modeled as an annular cascade. The model accounts for the inflow-fan-duct coupling and the high frequency of the interaction process. Two high-order numerical algorithms are developed with body-fitted coordinate system. One algorithm uses a primitive variable formulation, the other uses an efficient velocity splitting algorithm and is suitable for broadband computations. Analytical and numerical analysis of disturbances in rotational flows is developed and exact inflow/outflow boundary conditions are derived, yielding directly the radiated acoustics. The upstream disturbances evolve in rotational flows and as a result the aerodynamic-aeroacoustic response of the annular cascade depends on the initial conditions location. Computational results show that the three-dimensional geometry of the annular cascade, the mean flow swirl, and the blade geometry have strong influence on the blade sectional lift and the radiated sound. These results also show the inadequacy of using the popular linear cascade model particularly for realistic fan geometry and inflow conditions.  相似文献

Quasilinear analysis of wave-particle interactions is presented for plasma flowing in a weakly nonuniform magnetic field configuration. The method presented is based on a scale separation between the length scales of quasilinear relaxation and the magnetic field inhomogeneity, allowing one to obtain large scale solutions for both particle distribution functions and wave spectra, without going into the details of the small scale quasilinear relaxation. The numerical example shows the existence of a secondary instability for an initially stable particle distribution function.  相似文献

Acoustooptic Bragg diffraction without overemodulation (i.e., with the extended high-efficiency region on the diffraction efficiency dependence vs. sound amplitude) is studied theoretically and experimentally. It is found that this effect appears in the case of a symmetrically nonuniform acoustic field and is due to the equality of additional opposite phase shifts of light beams passing through symmetric regions of the acoustic field. The situation is considered when an acoustic field is excited by a three-section phased-array transducer. The conditions are determined, in which reverse optical power transfer from the diffracted beam to transmitted beam (overemodulation) in the case of a high (close to 100%) diffraction efficiency is considerably suppressed. In the case of a phased array, the effect weakly depends on the frequency of sound and the size of transducer sections, which makes it possible to observe it in a wide range of acoustooptic interaction parameters.  相似文献

端-侧面组合抽运方案是提高DPL调Q脉冲峰值功率和压缩脉冲宽度的有效技术途径。借助给出的一组端-侧面组合抽运DPL声光调Q实验结果,依据调Q速率方程,理论分析了组合抽运光的空间分布对调Q脉冲特性的影响,数值计算结果与实验结果一致。实验和理论研究发现:组合抽运时的脉冲宽度明显小于侧面抽运时的脉冲宽度,峰值功率明显高于侧面抽运时的峰值功率。实验和分析结果表明:在总抽运功率和抽运结构确定的情况下,端面抽运光功率在总抽运功率中的占有率越大,脉冲宽度越窄,脉冲峰值功率越高。通过调整端面抽运光功率占有率,改变组合抽运光的空间分布,可以实现对DPL调Q脉冲特性的控制。  相似文献

Pairwise thermal entanglement in the three-qubit XXX Heisenberg model with next nearest neighbor interaction and a nonuniform magnetic field has been studied. It's found that the next nearest neighbor interaction has a great effect on the entanglement between the next nearest neighbor sites, but has slight effect on the nearest neighbor entanglement (NNE). Applying a magnetic field at the middle site enhances the next nearest neighbor entanglement (NNNE) sharply when there is a small field at the side sites and the next nearest neighbor coupling constant is positive. A staggered magnetic field helps to maintain nearest neighbor entanglement obviously.  相似文献

Pairwise thermal entanglement in a three-qubit Heisenberg XX model is investigated when a nonuniform magnetic field and the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction are included. We find that the nonuniform magnetic field and Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction are the more efficient control parameters for the increase of entanglement and critical temperature. For both the nearest neighbour sites and the next nearest neighbour sites, the magnetic field can induce entanglement to a certain extent and the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction can enhance the entanglement to a stable value. The steady value of the nearest neighbour site entanglement C 12 is larger than the next nearest neighbour site entanglement C 13 . An interesting phenomenon is that the entanglement curve of C 12 appears a peak value when the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction is considered in a nonuniform magnetic field.  相似文献

The possibilities of shortening the interaction length of TeO2 abnormal light deflectors for a wavelength of 6328 Å are investigated in this paper. It is shown by simple theoretical considerations and also experimentally that the interaction length can be as small as 3–5 mm. Some experimental results are also given which show that the performance of such deflectors remains unchanged.  相似文献
