A black and white display was compared to a color display using the heated object spectrum with the aim of verifying which display was better for the detection of small abnormalities in a reasonably complicated background. Receiver operating characteristic curves with location (LROC) were generated for each type of display for each observer. The data were analyzed by taking the LROC curves in pairs, for each observer, fitting I binary ROC curve using a model, and using both parametric and nonparametric statistical tests for the paired differences. It was found, in this study, that the black and white display was significantly "better" than the color display. There was no significant difference in the time required to make a decision between the two displays. The technique of using paired ROC curves is suggested as being an appropriate and powerful test for intercomparing different imaging procedures and techniques in medicine.  相似文献

A generalized approach to block coding of two-tone images is introduced. Binary N-sequences (blocks) are described. Various conventional block coding techniques are shown to be particular cases of this approach. Numerical examples confirm that, based on the approach, the coding technique outperforms existing techniques. Generalized block coding is proved to be near optimum for encoding sparse binary patterns and advantageous for sources with unknown models.  相似文献

Commercial television was standardized originally mainly for entertainment, sports, and news, using over-the-air broadcasts. While a few upward compatible changes have been added over the years, the standard has remained essentially unchanged. Moreover, no other standard has had so many products and services built around it and withstood such a period of rapid technological change. Digital television promises to disturb the current equilibrium in consumer television and in the broader media industries. It is forcing a convergence with the simultaneous expansion of personal computing into the home and the commercialization of research networks. Digitizing television in a cost-effective manner and integrating it with computers, telecommunication networks, and consumer products will produce a large array of new products and services. In this paper, both simulation and testing techniques were used to address the reliability issue of mirror chip scale package (CSP) assembly. First, finite element modeling was employed to study the stress and strain of a mirror image CSP with comparison to a single-sided CSP. The study clearly illustrates that the strain distribution is not equally distributed across both sides of the CSP. The highest strain on one side of the mirror image CSP is often larger than the other one, which reduced the reliability of the package as a whole. In order to study the effects on the reliability of the mirror image CSP assembly, several parameters, such as PCB board materials selection, board thickness and warpage, PCB via design and routing, were investigated. Moreover, a design of experiment matrix was constructed to identify significant factors to minimize the highest strain in solder joints of mirror image. The test vehicle was then designed and assembled. Thermal cycling (0 to 100 °C) and thermal shock tests were thereafter performed to the mirror image CSPs and single-sided CSPs to compare with the simulation results.  相似文献

摆镜作为稳像系统核心部件,摆镜单元的性能参数和外载荷对摆镜面形的影响为摆镜设计和装配的主要约束条件。在设计约束基础上,对摆镜及其装卡结构材料进行了选择,对结构进行了轻量化设计。为考察外载作用对摆镜面形影响规律,使用接触非线性有限元方法对摆镜组件进行了仿真,使用基于Zernike多项式的光机集成仿真方法消除刚体位移,得到了消除刚体位移后摆镜面形参数。仿真结果表明:外载作用下摆镜刚体位移明显;预紧力作用下刚体平移占据了刚体位移的主要方面;动力载荷作用下,当重力存在于光轴方向时,静力载荷对摆镜面形起主要作用,否则动力载荷对摆镜面形起主导作用。在仿真数据基础上,对摆镜零件进行了加工和装配,对装配后摆镜进行了面形测试,测试结果表明:摆镜面形能够满足设计要求,也说明了摆镜结构设计的合理性和仿真方法的有效性。  相似文献

The inverse black body radiation problem, concerned with the determination of the temperature distribution of a block body source from spectral measurements, has recently been formulated. Here, an exact closed-form reconstruction algorithm is given in terms of on infinite series. This algorithm, which avoids iteration, can be implemented either numerically or analytically. 针对于空间稳像系统摆镜的面型精度保持问题,实现摆镜的轻量化设计,在直径110 mm圆平面反射镜的设计过程中将机械结构拓扑优化引入到光学器件设计领域。对背部减重部分进行了拓扑优化设计。对拓扑优化设计的原理和方法做了较为详细的介绍。吸收了变密度法中的SIMP(Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization)插值算法和RAMP(Rational Approximation of Material Properties)插值算法的思想,提出了一种新型惩罚中心可调节的ASMP(Adjusted Solid Material with Penalization)插值算法,并对各种插值算法进行了仿真。仿真结果证明,基于本文提出的新型ASMP插值算法的拓扑优化结果正确可靠,有一定的优越性。同时使用新型方法对摆镜进行了优化,并与其他设计结果进行了比对,结果显示新型拓扑优化结果能够较大程度地提高面型精度,使用起来更加灵活方便。新型差值算法的提出是对现有拓扑优化的插值算法进行了补充完善,也为后续参数优化设计奠定了基础。  相似文献

This study examines the perceived effect of idealized media images on self and classmates for three levels of outcome undesirability: perception of ideal body weight, effect on self-esteem, and likelihood of developing an eating disorder. A significant third-person effect was observed, which widened as the outcome increased in social undesirability. Those with high self-esteem exhibited stronger third-person effect than those with low self-esteem. The overall pattern of findings suggests that two related but distinct processes might be involved in the third person effect: (a) a general process associated with self-esteem, which explains perceived effect of media both on self and others; and (b) a specific process tied to situational personal vulnerability, which explains perceived effect on self, but does not explain perceived effect on others.  相似文献

Fractal image compression has received much attention from the research community because of some desirable properties like resolution independence, fast decoding, and very competitive rate-distortion curves. Despite the advances made, the long computing times in the encoding phase still remain the main drawback of this technique. So far, several methods have been proposed in order to speed-up fractal image coding. We address the problem of choosing the best speed-up techniques for fractal image coding, comparing some of the most effective classification and feature vector methods-namely Fisher (1994), Hurtgen (1993), and Saupe (1995, 1996)-and a new feature vector coding scheme based on the block's mass center. Furthermore, we introduce two new coding schemes combining Saupe with Fisher, and Saupe with mass center coding scheme. Experimental results demonstrate both the superiority of feature vector techniques on classification and the effectiveness of combining Saupe and the mass center coding scheme, an approach that exhibits the best time-distortion curves.  相似文献
