Generic planes conjecture

In some particular cases we prove the density of the set of mappings of an n-dimensional compactum into an m-dimensional Euclidean space such that the set of all d-dimensional planes with the preimage cardinality ?? q has the dimension ?? qn - (q ? d ? 1)(m ? d).     

Proof of a conjecture of Segre and Bartocci on monomial hyperovals in projective planes

The existence of certain monomial hyperovals D(x ^k ) in the finite Desarguesian projective plane PG(2, q), q even, is related to the existence of points on certain projective plane curves g _k (x, y, z). Segre showed that some values of k (k?=?6 and 2 ⁱ ) give rise to hyperovals in PG(2, q) for infinitely many q. Segre and Bartocci conjectured that these are the only values of k with this property. We prove this conjecture through the absolute irreducibility of the curves g _k .     

A proof of the integral identity conjecture,II

In this note, using Cluckers–Loeser's theory of motivic integration, we prove the integral identity conjecture with framework a localized Grothendieck ring of varieties over an arbitrary base field of characteristic zero.     

A conjecture on B-groups

In this note, I propose the following conjecture: a finite group $G$ is nilpotent if and only if its largest quotient $B$ -group $\beta (G)$ is nilpotent. I give a proof of this conjecture under the additional assumption that $G$ be solvable. I also show that this conjecture is equivalent to the following: the kernel of restrictions to nilpotent subgroups is a biset-subfunctor of the Burnside functor.     

A note on Greenberg's conjecture and the abc conjecture

For any totally real number field and any prime number , Greenberg's conjecture for asserts that the Iwasawa invariants and are both zero. For a fixed real abelian field , we prove that the conjecture is ``affirmative' for infinitely many (which split in if we assume the abc conjecture for .

     

Proof of the prime power conjecture for projective planes of order

Let be an abelian collineation group of order of a projective plane of order . We show that must be a prime power, and that the -rank of is at least if for an odd prime .

     

A conjecture of Gy. Petruska

Summary We give a negative answer to a conjecture of Gy. Petruska.     

A conjecture by G. Ladas

In this paper, a sufficient condition for boundedness and persistence of the solu1 /of the following delay difference equation is obtained. A conjecture by G. Ladas is proved here xn-1=A/x^pn B/x^qn-1, n=0,1,...where A, B, p, q, x-1, xo∈(0,∞).

关于S.Axler的一个猜想的注记

In this note, we prove that a^p,q,a(0-1) is a self-con jugate spacl, so a^p ( =a^p,q,a) is self-conjugate, in other words, we prove that the conjecture of S. Axler istrue.     

A note on Fischer-Marsden's conjecture

In this paper, we borrowed some ideas from general relativity and find a Robinson-type identity for the overdetermined system of partial differential equations in the Fischer-Marsden conjecture. We proved that if there is a nontrivial solution for such an overdetermined system on a 3-dimensional, closed manifold with positive scalar curvature, then the manifold contains a totally geodesic 2-sphere.
