Polarization-resolved second harmonic generation (PSHG) imaging microscopy allows one to provide information such as anisotropy parameters and molecule orientation. We analyze the precision of parameter estimation for samples with cylindrical symmetry and a Gaussian additive noise model. We introduce improvements of existing techniques that can be useful to get rapid acquisition and processing of PSHG images, and we discuss the influence of photon noise. 相似文献

To visualize the structure and organization of the brain is a fundamental requirement in the research of neuroscience. Here, combining with two-photon excitation fluorescence microscopy and transgenetic mouse GAD67,we demonstrate a custom-built second harmonic generation(SHG) microscope to discriminate brain layers and sub regions in the cerebellum and brain stem slices with cellular resolution. In particular, the cell densities of neurons in different brain layers are extracted due to the cell soma appearing as dark shadow on an SHG image.Further, the axon initial segments of the Purkinje cell are easily recognized without labeling, which would be useful for guiding micropipettes for electrophysiology. 相似文献

提出应用级联倍频方法提高倍频系统输出稳定性,并就该方法的有效性进行了理论分析和模拟计算.分析和计算结果不但证明级联倍频方法能实现倍频系统稳定输出,而且还表明可以通过仔细调节第一块倍频晶体中波矢方向 k 与光轴间夹角、两块倍频晶体间的间隔,能调节改变实现倍频系统最稳输出时所需第二块晶体的理论计算长度,使之与第二块倍频晶体的实际加工长度一致,最终实现系统稳定倍频输出.级联倍频方法在实现高输出稳定性的同时能实现高的倍频转换效率,对应用于光参量啁啾脉冲放大系统的高稳定抽运源系统的设计建造具有重要参考意义.

We consider nonlinear optical processes in a cavity maintained far from thermal equilibrium by external pumping. In second harmonic generation we predict a hard mode instability at a critical pump strength indicating the existence of undamped spiking similar to that in strongly pumped lasers. In subharmonic generation above the soft mode transition noted by Graham we predict the appearance of sidebands in the subharmonic spectrum. 相似文献

This paper reports experimental and analytical results on optical second harmonic generation when a noncollinear arrangement is employed. The dependence of second harmonic power on crystal length, absorption, beam radius and the angle between the two fundamental waves is obtained. Double refraction of the crystal is taken into account, but the divergence and depletion of the fundamental waves are neglected. The results of the calculations are confirmed by experiments carried out with a KDP crystal in the near field of two intersecting TEM00 ruby laser beams.An extension of the theory to nonlinear interactions other than second harmonic generation - e.g. four-wave interaction - is possible. 相似文献

Efficient second harmonic generation at 0.532 μ has been achieved in a temperature tuned CDA crystal when a narrow beam divergence Nd:YAG laser was used. At a crystal temperature of 40.3°C, a peak second harmonic power of 7.5 MW was obtained with a peak power conversion efficiency of 33%. The temperature variation of the refractive indices in CDA has been determined to be d(ne2ω?n0ω)/dT = 7.2 × 10?5°C?1. 相似文献

Based on the three-coupled-oscillator molecular model we proposed, the
relation between the second-order susceptibilities of a chiral film and the
molecular hyperpolarizabilities is given. The effect of microscopic
parameters on the second-order susceptibilities is simulated numerically and
the difference between the efficiencies of s-polarized second-harmonic
fields induced by the left- and the right-handed circularly-polarized
fundamental beams is discussed. The theoretical basis for studying
second-order nonlinear optical properties of the chiral molecular media with

Second harmonic generation was observed in ammonium tartrate single crystals by a phase matching technique at the fundamental wavelength 1.153 μm. The dependence of intracavity second harmonic generation efficiency on the linear phase detunings in crystal and air is studied both theoretically and experimentally. Two-photon excitation fluorescence (TPEF) and second-harmonic generation (SHG) are detected through multiphoton microscopy (MPM). The major signals have the potential to monitor the process of tissue changes. TPEF and SHG are used to monitor the skin photo-thermal response to irradiation with intense pulsed light sources (A is in the range of 560-1200 nm) and trace the process of skin remodeling in vivo at different time intervals. TPEF intensity is nearly unchanged at different time intervals after irradiation, whereas SHG intensity changes considerably. The results reveal the photo-thermal effect of nonablative light sources and the process of collagen remodeling at the sub-micron level. 相似文献
