In this paper we investigate the regularity of solutions for the following degenerate partial differential equation $$\left \{\begin{array}{ll} -\Delta_p u + u = f \qquad {\rm in} \,\Omega,\\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu} = 0 \qquad \qquad \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\, {\rm on} \,\partial \Omega, \end{array}\right.$$ when ${f \in L^q(\Omega), p > 2}$ and q ≥ 2. If u is a weak solution in ${W^{1, p}(\Omega)}$ , we obtain estimates for u in the Nikolskii space ${\mathcal{N}^{1+2/r,r}(\Omega)}$ , where r = q(p ? 2) + 2, in terms of the L q norm of f. In particular, due to imbedding theorems of Nikolskii spaces into Sobolev spaces, we conclude that ${\|u\|^r_{W^{1 + 2/r - \epsilon, r}(\Omega)} \leq C(\|f\|_{L^q(\Omega)}^q + \| f\|^{r}_{L^q(\Omega)} + \|f\|^{2r/p}_{L^q(\Omega)})}$ for every ${\epsilon > 0}$ sufficiently small. Moreover, we prove that the resolvent operator is continuous and compact in ${W^{1,r}(\Omega)}$ . 相似文献

Let (T t ) t?≥ 0 be a bounded analytic semigroup on L p (Ω), with 1?<?p?<?∞. Let ?A denote its infinitesimal generator. It is known that if A and A * both satisfy square function estimates ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{\frac{1}{2}} T_t(x)\vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^p} \lesssim \|x\|_{L^p}}$ and ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{*\frac{1}{2}} T_t^*(y) \vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^{p^\prime}} \lesssim \|y\|_{L^{p^\prime}}}$ for ${x\in L^p(\Omega)}$ and ${y\in L^{p^\prime}(\Omega)}$ , then A admits a bounded ${H^{\infty}(\Sigma_\theta)}$ functional calculus for any ${\theta>\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . We show that this actually holds true for some ${\theta<\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . 相似文献

Varying conditions on the weight function f, the author is interested in whether the extremal of the ratio $\inf \frac{{\left\| {\nabla u} \right\|_{Lp} \left( \Omega \right)}}{{\left\| {fu} \right\|_{Lp} \left( \Omega \right)}}{\lambda }_{pq} \left( {\Omega ,f} \right)$ remains symmetric. Here, f is positive almost everywhere in $u \in \mathop {W_p^1 }\limits^{\text{O}} \left( \Omega \right)$ and the infimum is taken over all functions $u \in \mathop {W_p^1 \left( \Omega \right)}\limits^{\text{O}}$ . Let ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{N}}$ be a Lipschitz domain and Γ be a relatively open and non-empty subset of its boundary ${\partial\Omega}$ . We show that the solution to the linear first-order system $$\nabla \zeta = G\zeta, \, \, \zeta|_\Gamma = 0 \quad \quad \quad (1)$$ is unique if ${G \in \textsf{L}^{1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{(N \times N) \times N})}$ and ${\zeta \in \textsf{W}^{1,1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{N})}$ . As a consequence, we prove $$||| \cdot ||| : \textsf{C}_{o}^{\infty}(\Omega, \Gamma; \mathbb{R}^{3}) \rightarrow [0, \infty), \, \, u \mapsto \parallel {\rm sym}(\nabla uP^{-1})\parallel_{\textsf{L}^{2}(\Omega)}$$ to be a norm for ${P \in \textsf{L}^{\infty}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3 \times 3})}$ with Curl ${P \in \textsf{L}^{p}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3 \times 3})}$ , Curl ${P^{-1} \in \textsf{L}^{q}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3 \times 3})}$ for some p, q > 1 with 1/p + 1/q = 1 as well as det ${P \geq c^+ > 0}$ . We also give a new and different proof for the so-called ‘infinitesimal rigid displacement lemma’ in curvilinear coordinates: Let ${\Phi \in \textsf{H}^{1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3})}$ satisfy sym ${(\nabla\Phi^\top\nabla\Psi) = 0}$ for some ${\Psi \in \textsf{W}^{1,\infty}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3}) \cap \textsf{H}^{2}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^{3})}$ with det ${\nabla\Psi \geq c^+ > 0}$ . Then, there exist a constant translation vector ${a \in \mathbb{R}^{3}}$ and a constant skew-symmetric matrix ${A \in \mathfrak{so}(3)}$ , such that ${\Phi = A\Psi + a}$ . 相似文献

We establish a global Calderón–Zygmund theory for solutions to a large class of nonlinear parabolic systems whose model is the inhomogeneous parabolic \(p\) -Laplacian system $$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} \partial _t u - {{\mathrm{div}}}(|Du|^{p-2}Du) = {{\mathrm{div}}}(|F|^{p-2}F) &{}\quad \hbox {in }\quad \Omega _T:=\Omega \times (0,T)\\ u=g &{}\quad \hbox {on }\quad \partial \Omega \times (0,T)\cup {\overline{\Omega }}\times \{0\} \end{array} \right. \end{aligned}$$ with given functions \(F\) and \(g\) . Our main result states that the spatial gradient of the solution is as integrable as the data \(F\) and \(g\) up to the lateral boundary of \(\Omega _T\) , i.e. $$\begin{aligned} F,Dg\in L^q(\Omega _T),\ \partial _t g\in L^{\frac{q(n+2)}{p(n+2)-n}}(\Omega _T) \quad \Rightarrow \quad Du\in L^q(\Omega \times (\delta ,T)) \end{aligned}$$ for any \(q>p\) and \(\delta \in (0,T)\) , together with quantitative estimates. This result is proved in a much more general setting, i.e. for asymptotically regular parabolic systems. 相似文献

Using elementary arguments based on the Fourier transform we prove that for ${1 \leq q < p < \infty}$ and ${s \geq 0}$ with s > n(1/2 ? 1/p), if ${f \in L^{q,\infty} (\mathbb{R}^n) \cap \dot{H}^s (\mathbb{R}^n)}$ , then ${f \in L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ and there exists a constant c p,q,s such that $$\| f \|_{L^{p}} \leq c_{p,q,s} \| f \|^\theta _{L^{q,\infty}} \| f \|^{1-\theta}_{\dot{H}^s},$$ where 1/pθ/q + (1?θ)(1/2?s/n). In particular, in ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ we obtain the generalised Ladyzhenskaya inequality ${\| f \| _{L^4} \leq c \| f \|^{1/2}_{L^{2,\infty}} \| f \|^{1/2}_{\dot{H}^1}}$ .We also show that for s = n/2 and q > 1 the norm in ${\| f \|_{\dot{H}^{n/2}}}$ can be replaced by the norm in BMO. As well as giving relatively simple proofs of these inequalities, this paper provides a brief primer of some basic concepts in harmonic analysis, including weak spaces, the Fourier transform, the Lebesgue Differentiation Theorem, and Calderon–Zygmund decompositions. 相似文献

Let Ω be a cone in ${\mathbb {R}^{n}}$ with n ≥? 2. For every fixed ${\alpha \in \mathbb {R}}$ we find the best constant in the Rellich inequality ${\int\nolimits_{\Omega}|x|^{\alpha}|\Delta u|^{2}dx \ge C\int\nolimits_{\Omega}|x|^{\alpha-4}|u|^{2}dx}$ for ${u \in C^{2}_{c}(\overline\Omega\setminus\{0\})}$ . We also estimate the best constant for the same inequality on ${C^{2}_{c}(\Omega)}$ . Moreover we show improved Rellich inequalities with remainder terms involving logarithmic weights on cone-like domains. 相似文献

We treat the partial regularity of locally bounded local minimizers $u$ for the $p(x)$ -energy functional $$\begin{aligned} \mathcal{E }(v;\Omega ) = \int \left( g^{\alpha \beta }(x)h_{ij}(v) D_\alpha v^i (x) D_\beta v^j (x) \right) ^{p(x)/2} dx, \end{aligned}$$ defined for maps $v : \Omega (\subset \mathbb R ^m) \rightarrow \mathbb R ^n$ . Assuming the Lipschitz continuity of the exponent $p(x) \ge 2$ , we prove that $u \in C^{1,\alpha }(\Omega _0)$ for some $\alpha \in (0,1)$ and an open set $\Omega _0 \subset \Omega $ with $\dim _\mathcal{H }(\Omega \setminus \Omega _0) \le m-[\gamma _1]-1$ , where $\dim _\mathcal{H }$ stands for the Hausdorff dimension, $[\gamma _1]$ the integral part of $\gamma _1$ , and $\gamma _1 = \inf p(x)$ . 相似文献

Given ${\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^{n}}$ open, connected and with Lipschitz boundary, and ${s\in (0, 1)}$ , we consider the functional $$\mathcal{J}_s(E,\Omega)\,=\, \int_{E\cap \Omega}\int_{E^c\cap\Omega}\frac{dxdy}{|x-y|^{n+s}}+\int_{E\cap \Omega}\int_{E^c\cap \Omega^c}\frac{dxdy}{|x-y|^{n+s}}\,+ \int_{E\cap \Omega^c}\int_{E^c\cap \Omega}\frac{dxdy}{|x-y|^{n+s}},$$ where ${E\subset\mathbb{R}^{n}}$ is an arbitrary measurable set. We prove that the functionals ${(1-s)\mathcal{J}_s(\cdot, \Omega)}$ are equi-coercive in ${L^1_{\rm loc}(\Omega)}$ as ${s\uparrow 1}$ and that $$\Gamma-\lim_{s\uparrow 1}(1-s)\mathcal{J}_s(E,\Omega)=\omega_{n-1}P(E,\Omega),\quad \text{for every }E\subset\mathbb{R}^{n}\,{\rm measurable}$$ where P(E, ??) denotes the perimeter of E in ?? in the sense of De Giorgi. We also prove that as ${s\uparrow 1}$ limit points of local minimizers of ${(1-s)\mathcal{J}_s(\cdot,\Omega)}$ are local minimizers of P(·, ??). 相似文献

We consider the following q-eigenvalue problem for the p-Laplacian $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-{\rm div}\big( |\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u\big) = \lambda \|u\|_{L^{q}(\Omega)}^{p-q}|u|^{q-2}u \quad \quad\, {\rm in} \,\,\,\, \Omega\\ \quad\quad\quad \quad \quad \quad u = 0 \quad\qquad\qquad \quad\quad \,\,{\rm on } \,\,\,\, \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ where \({\lambda\in\mathbb{R},}\) p > 1, Ω is a bounded and smooth domain of \({\mathbb{R}^{N},}\) N > 1, \({1\leq q < p^{\star}}\) , \({p^{\star}=\frac{Np}{N-p}}\) if p < N and \({p^{\star}=\infty}\) if \({p\geq N.}\) Let λ q denote the first q-eigenvalue. We prove that in the super-linear case, \({p < q < p^{\star},}\) there exists \({\epsilon_{q}>0}\) such that if \({\lambda\in(\lambda_{q},\lambda _{q}+\epsilon_{q})}\) is a q-eigenvalue, then any corresponding q-eigenfunction does not change sign in Ω. As a consequence of this result we obtain, in the super-linear case, the isolatedness of λ q for those Ω such that the Lane–Emden problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-{\rm div}\big(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u\big) = |u|^{q-2}u \qquad\quad\quad\quad \,\,{\rm in}\,\,\,\Omega\\ \quad\quad\quad \quad \quad \quad u = 0 \quad\qquad\qquad \quad\quad \,{\rm on } \,\,\, \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ has exactly one positive solution. 相似文献

We consider the problem $$\begin{aligned} -\Delta u=\varepsilon ^{2}e^{u}- \frac{1}{|\Omega |}\int _\Omega \varepsilon ^{2} e^{u}+ {4\pi N\over |\Omega |} - 4 \pi N\delta _p, \quad \text{ in} {\Omega }, \quad \int _\Omega u=0 \end{aligned}$$ in a flat two-torus $\Omega $ with periodic boundary conditions, where $\varepsilon >0,\,|\Omega |$ is the area of the $\Omega $ , $N>0$ and $\delta _p$ is a Dirac mass at $p\in \Omega $ . We prove that if $1\le m<N+1$ then there exists a family of solutions $\{u_\varepsilon \}_{\varepsilon }$ such that $\varepsilon ^{2}e^{u_\varepsilon }\rightharpoonup 8\pi \sum _{i=1}^m\delta _{q_i}$ as $\varepsilon \rightarrow 0$ in measure sense for some different points $q_{1}, \ldots , q_{m}$ . Furthermore, points $q_i$ , $i=1,\dots ,m$ are different from $p$ . 相似文献

Let $k$ and $j$ be positive integers. We prove that the action of the two-dimensional singular integral operators $(S_\Omega )^{j-1}$ and $(S_\Omega ^*)^{j-1}$ on a Hilbert base for the Bergman space $\mathcal{A }^2(\Omega )$ and anti-Bergman space $\mathcal{A }^2_{-1}(\Omega ),$ respectively, gives Hilbert bases $\{ \psi _{\pm j , k } \}_{ k }$ for the true poly-Bergman spaces $\mathcal{A }_{(\pm j)}^2(\Omega ),$ where $S_\Omega $ denotes the compression of the Beurling transform to the Lebesgue space $L^2(\Omega , dA).$ The functions $\psi _{\pm j,k}$ will be explicitly represented in terms of the $(2,1)$ -hypergeometric polynomials as well as by formulas of Rodrigues type. We prove explicit representations for the true poly-Bergman kernels and more transparent representations for the poly-Bergman kernels of $\Omega $ . We establish Rodrigues type formulas for the poly-Bergman kernels of $\mathbb{D }$ . 相似文献

The 2-norm distance from a matrix A to the set ${\mathcal{M}}$ of n × n matrices with a zero eigenvalue of multiplicity ≥3 is estimated. If $$Q(\gamma _1 ,\gamma _2 ,\gamma _3 ) = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} A & {\gamma _1 I_n } & {\gamma _3 I_n } \\ 0 & A & {\gamma _2 I_n } \\ 0 & 0 & A \\ \end{array} } \right), n \geqslant 3,$$ then $$\rho _2 (A,{\mathcal{M}}) \geqslant {\mathop {max}\limits_{\gamma _1 ,\gamma _2 \geqslant 0,\gamma _3 \in {\mathbb{C}}}} \sigma _{3n - 2} (Q(\gamma _1 ,\gamma _2 ,\gamma _3 )),$$ where σi(·)is the ith singular value of the corresponding matrix in the decreasing order of singular values. Moreover, if the maximum on the right-hand side is attained at the point $\gamma ^ * = (\gamma _1^ * ,\gamma _2^ * ,\gamma _3^ * )$ , where $\gamma _1^ * \gamma _2^ * \ne 0$ , then, in fact, one has the exact equality $$\rho _2 (A,{\mathcal{M}}) = \sigma _{3n - 2} (Q(\gamma _1^ * ,\gamma _2^ * ,\gamma _3^ * )).$$ This result can be regarded as an extension of Malyshev's formula, which gives the 2-norm distance from A to the set of matrices with a multiple zero eigenvalue. 相似文献

The paper is devoted to the study of the weak norms of the classical operators in the vector-valued setting.
 1. Let S, H denote the singular integral involution operator and the Hilbert transform on $L^p \left( {\mathbb{T}, \ell _\mathbb{C}^2 } \right)$ , respectively. Then for 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 and any f, $$\left\| {\mathcal{S}f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left( {\frac{1} {\pi }\int_{ - \infty }^\infty {\frac{{\left| {\tfrac{2} {\pi }\log \left| t \right|} \right|^p }} {{t^2 + 1}}dt} } \right)^{ - 1/p} \left\| f \right\|p,$$ $$\left\| {\mathcal{H}f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left( {\frac{1} {\pi }\int_{ - \infty }^\infty {\frac{{\left| {\tfrac{2} {\pi }\log \left| t \right|} \right|^p }} {{t^2 + 1}}dt} } \right)^{ - 1/p} \left\| f \right\|p.$$ Both inequalities are sharp.
 2. Let P + and P ? stand for the Riesz projection and the co-analytic projection on $L^p \left( {\mathbb{T}, \ell _\mathbb{C}^2 } \right)$ , respectively. Then for 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 and any f, $$\left\| {P + f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left\| f \right\|_p ,$$ $$\left\| {P - f} \right\|_{p,\infty } \leqslant \left\| f \right\|_p .$$ Both inequalities are sharp.
 3. We establish the sharp versions of the estimates above in the nonperiodic case.
The results are new even if the operators act on complex-valued functions. The proof rests on the construction of an appropriate plurisubharmonic function and probabilistic techniques. 相似文献

We consider the instationary Navier–Stokes equations in a smooth exterior domain \({\Omega \subseteq \mathbb{R}^3}\) with initial value u 0, external force f = div F and viscosity ν. It is an important question to characterize the class of initial values \({u_0\in L^2_{\sigma}(\Omega)}\) that allow a strong solution \({u \in L^s(0,T; L^q(\Omega))}\) in some interval \({[0,T[ \, , 0 < T \leq \infty}\) where s, q with 3 < q < and \({\frac{2}{s} + \frac{3}{q} =1}\) are so-called Serrin exponents. In Farwig and Komo (Analysis (Munich) 33:101–119, 2013) it is proved that \({\int_0^{\infty} \| e^{-\nu t A} u_0 \|_q^{s} \, {d}t < \infty}\) is necessary and sufficient for the existence of a strong solution \({u \in L^s(0,T ; L^q(\Omega)) \, , 0 < T \leq \infty}\) , if additionally 3 < q ≤ 8; here, A denotes the Stokes operator. In this paper, we will show that this result remains true if q > 8, and consequently, \({\int_0^{\infty} \| e^{-\nu t A} u_0 \|_q^{s} \, {d}t < \infty}\) is the optimal initial value condition to obtain such a strong solution for all possible Serrin exponents s, q. 相似文献

Let ?? be a bounded domain in ${\mathbb{R}^{n}, n\geq2}$ . We use ${\mathcal{M}_{\Omega}}$ to denote the collection of all pairs of (A, u) such that ${A\subset\Omega}$ is a set of finite perimeter and ${u\in H^{1}\left( \Omega\right)}$ satisfies $$u\left( x\right) =0\quad\text{a.e.}x\in A.$$ We consider the energy functional $$E_{\Omega}\left( A,u\right) =\int\limits_{\Omega}\left\vert\triangledown u\right\vert ^{2}+P_{\Omega}\left( A\right)$$ defined on ${\mathcal{M}_{\Omega}}$ , where P ??(A) denotes the perimeter of A inside ??. Let ${\left( A,u\right)\in\mathcal{M}_{\Omega}}$ be a minimizer with volume constraint. Our main result is that when n????7, u is locally Lipschitz and the free boundary ?A is analytic in ??. 相似文献

For any Ritt operator T: L p (Ω) → L p (Ω), for any positive real number α, and for any xL p (Ω), we consider $${\left\| x \right\|_{T,\alpha }} = {\left\| {{{\left( {\sum\limits_{k = 1}^\infty {{k^{2\alpha - 1}}} {{\left| {{T^{k - 1}}{{(I - T)}^\alpha }x} \right|}^2}} \right)}^{\frac{1}{2}}}} \right\|_{{L^p}}}$$ . We show that if T is actually an R-Ritt operator, then the square functions \({\left\| {} \right\|_{T,\alpha }}\) are pairwise equivalent. Then we show that T and its adjoint T*: L p′ (Ω) → L p′ (Ω) both satisfy uniform estimates \({\left\| x \right\|_{T,1}} \leqslant {\left\| x \right\|_{{L^p}}}\) and \({\left\| y \right\|_{T*,1}} \leqslant {\left\| y \right\|_{{L^{p'}}}}\) for xL p (Ω) and yL p′ (Ω) if and only if T is R-Ritt and admits a dilation in the following sense: there exist a measure space \(\tilde \Omega \) , an isomorphism \(U:{L^p}\tilde \Omega \to {L^p}\tilde \Omega \) such that {U n : n ∈ ?} is bounded, as well as two bounded maps \({L^p}(\Omega )\buildrel J \over \longrightarrow {L^p}(\tilde \Omega )\buildrel Q \over \longrightarrow {L^p}(\Omega )\) such that T n = QU n J for any n ≥ 0. We also investigate functional calculus properties of Ritt operators and analogs of the above results on noncommutative L p -spaces. 相似文献
