We consider the spaces A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) of functions f on the m-dimensional torus $\mathbb{T}^m $ such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients $\hat f = \{ \hat f(k),k \in \mathbb{Z}^m \} $ belongs to l p (? m ), 1 ≤ p < 2. The norm on A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) is defined by $\left\| f \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^p (\mathbb{Z}^m )} $ . We study the rate of growth of the norms $\left\| {e^{i\lambda \phi } } \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} $ as |λ| → ∞, λ ∈ ?, for C 1-smooth real functions φ on $\mathbb{T}^m $ (the one-dimensional case was investigated by the author earlier). The lower estimates that we obtain have direct analogs for the spaces A p (? m ).  相似文献

For integral functionals initially defined for ${u \in {\rm W}^{1,1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^m)}$ by $$\int_{\Omega} f(\nabla u) \, {\rm d}x$$ we establish strict continuity and relaxation results in ${{\rm BV}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^m)}$ . The results cover the case of signed continuous integrands ${f : \mathbb{R}^{m \times d} \to \mathbb{R}}$ of linear growth at infinity. In particular, it is not excluded that the integrands are unbounded below.  相似文献

Suppose $\mathfrak {X} = \{X_1, X_2, \ldots,\,X_m\}$ is a system of real smooth vector fields on an open neighbourhood Ω of the closure of a bounded connected open set M in $\mathbb {R}^N$ satisfying the finite rank condition of Hörmander, namely the rank of the Lie algebra generated by $\mathfrak {X}$ under the usual bracket operation is a constant equal to N. We study the smoothness of solutions of a class of quasilinear equations of the form $$Q_{\mathfrak {X}}u = \sum _{j=1}^m X_j^*a_j(x, u, Xu) +b (x, u, Xu) = 0$$ where $a_j,\,b \in C^{\infty}(\Omega \times \mathbb {R} \times \mathbb {R}^m; \mathbb {R})$ . It is shown that if the matrix $\left({\frac {\partial a_j}{\partial \xi_i}}\right)$ is positive definite on $M \times \mathbb {R}^{m+1}$ then any weak solution $u \in \mathcal {C}^{2,\alpha}(M, \mathfrak {X})$ belongs to C (M).  相似文献

We prove that every isometry from the unit disk Δ in ${\mathbb{C}}$ , endowed with the Poincaré distance, to a strongly convex bounded domain Ω of class ${\mathcal{C}^3}$ in ${\mathbb{C}^n}$ , endowed with the Kobayashi distance, is the composition of a complex geodesic of Ω with either a conformal or an anti-conformal automorphism of Δ. As a corollary we obtain that every isometry for the Kobayashi distance, from a strongly convex bounded domain of class ${\mathcal{C}^3}$ in ${\mathbb{C}^n}$ to a strongly convex bounded domain of class ${\mathcal{C}^3}$ in ${\mathbb{C}^m}$ , is either holomorphic or anti-holomorphic.  相似文献

Let ${\nu_{d} : \mathbb{P}^{r} \rightarrow \mathbb{P}^{N}, N := \left( \begin{array}{ll} r + d \\ \,\,\,\,\,\, r \end{array} \right)- 1,}$ denote the degree d Veronese embedding of ${\mathbb{P}^{r}}$ . For any ${P\, \in \, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , the symmetric tensor rank sr(P) is the minimal cardinality of a set ${\mathcal{S} \subset \nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ spanning P. Let ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ be the set of all ${A \subset \mathbb{P}^{r}}$ such that ${\nu_{d}(A)}$ computes sr(P). Here we classify all ${P \,\in\, \mathbb{P}^{n}}$ such that sr(P) <  3d/2 and sr(P) is computed by at least two subsets of ${\nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ . For such tensors ${P\, \in\, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , we prove that ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ has no isolated points.  相似文献

Let α and β be functions in ${L^\infty(\mathbb{T})}$ , where ${\mathbb{T}}$ is the unit circle. Let P denote the orthogonal projection from ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ onto the Hardy space ${H^2(\mathbb{T})}$ , and Q = I ? P, where I is the identity operator on ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ . This paper is concerned with the singular integral operators S α,β on ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ of the form S α,β f = αPf + βQf, for ${f \in L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ . In this paper, we study the normality of S α,β which is related to the Brown–Halmos theorem for the normal Toeplitz operator on ${H^2(\mathbb{T})}$ .  相似文献

Let $\mathbb{k}$ be a commutative ring and I a category. As a generalization of a $\mathbb{k}$ -category with a (pseudo) action of a group we consider a family of $\mathbb{k}$ -categories with a (pseudo, lax, or oplax) action of I, namely an oplax functor from I to the 2-category of small $\mathbb{k}$ -categories. We investigate derived equivalences of those oplax functors, and establish a Morita type theorem for them. This gives a base of investigations of derived equivalences of Grothendieck constructions of those oplax functors.  相似文献

We study some properties of the quotient forcing notions ${Q_{tr(I)} = \wp(2^{< \omega})/tr(I)}$ and P I ?= B(2 ω )/I in two special cases: when I is the σ-ideal of meager sets or the σ-ideal of null sets on 2 ω . We show that the remainder forcing R I =?Q tr(I)/P I is σ-closed in these cases. We also study the cardinal invariant of the continuum ${\mathfrak{h}_{\mathbb{Q}}}$ , the distributivity number of the quotient ${Dense(\mathbb{Q})/nwd}$ , in order to show that ${\wp(\mathbb{Q})/nwd}$ collapses ${\mathfrak{c}}$ to ${\mathfrak{h}_{\mathbb{Q}}}$ , thus answering a question addressed in Balcar et?al. (Fundamenta Mathematicae 183:59–80, 2004).  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the classification of the subsets A of ${\mathbb{Z}_p}$ which occur as images ${f(\mathbb{Z}_p^r)}$ of polynomial functions ${f:\mathbb{Z}_p^r\to \mathbb{Z}_p}$ , limiting ourselves to compact-open subsets (i.e. finite unions of open balls). We shall prove three main results: (i) Every compact-open ${A\subset \mathbb{Z}_p}$ is of the shape ${A=f(\mathbb{Z}_p^r)}$ for suitable r and ${f\in\mathbb{Z}_p[X_1,\ldots ,X_r]}$ . (ii) For each r 0 there is a compact-open A such that in (i) we cannot take r < r 0. (iii) For any compact-open set ${A\subset \mathbb{Z}_p}$ there exists a polynomial ${f\in\mathbb{Q}_p[X]}$ such that ${f(\mathbb{Z}_p)=A}$ . We shall also discuss in more detail which sets A can be represented as ${f(\mathbb{Z}_p)}$ for a polynomial ${f\in\mathbb{Z}_p[X]}$ in a single variable.  相似文献

Let k be a field of characteristic zero. We consider k-forms of $ {\mathbb G} $ m -actions on $ {\mathbb A} $ 3 and show that they are linearizable. In particular, $ {\mathbb G} $ m -actions on $ {\mathbb A} $ 3 are linearizable, and k-forms of $ {\mathbb A} $ 3 that admit an effective action of an infinite reductive group are trivial.  相似文献

By counting the coset leaders for cosets of weight 3 of the Melas code we give a new proof for the characterization of Kloosterman sums divisible by 3 for ${\mathbb{F}_{2^m}}$ where m is odd. New results due to Charpin, Helleseth and Zinoviev then provide a connection to a characterization of all ${a\in\mathbb{F}_{2^m}}$ such that ${Tr(a^{1/3})=0}$ ; we prove a generalization to the case ${Tr(a^{1/(2^k-1)})=0}$ . We present an application to constructing caps in PG(n, 2) with many free pairs of points.  相似文献

We prove a new local inequality for divisors on surfaces and utilize it to compute α-invariants of singular del Pezzo surfaces, which implies that del Pezzo surfaces of degree one whose singular points are of type $\mathbb{A}_{1}$ , $\mathbb{A}_{2}$ , $\mathbb{A}_{3}$ , $\mathbb{A}_{4}$ , $\mathbb{A}_{5}$ , or $\mathbb{A}_{6}$ are Kähler-Einstein.  相似文献

In this paper we provide a first realization of an idea of Jacques Tits from a 1956 paper, which first mentioned that there should be a field of charactéristique une, which is now called ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ , the field with one element. This idea was that every split reductive group scheme over ${\mathbb{Z}}$ should descend to ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ , and its group of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -rational points should be its Weyl group. We connect the notion of a torified scheme to the notion of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes as introduced by Connes and Consani. This yields models of toric varieties, Schubert varieties and split reductive group schemes as ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes. We endow the class of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -schemes with two classes of morphisms, one leading to a satisfying notion of ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ -rational points, the other leading to the notion of an algebraic group over ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ such that every split reductive group is defined as an algebraic group over ${\mathbb{F}_1}$ . Furthermore, we show that certain combinatorics that are expected from parabolic subgroups of GL(n) and Grassmann varieties are realized in this theory.  相似文献

We consider the following system of integral equations $${u_{i}(t)=\int\nolimits_{I} g_{i}(t, s)f(s, u_{1}(s), u_{2}(s), \cdots, u_{n}(s))ds, \quad t \in I, \ 1 \leq i\leq n}$$ where I is an interval of $\mathbb{R}$ . Our aim is to establish criteria such that the above system has a constant-sign periodic and almost periodic solution (u 1, u 2,…,u n ) when I is an infinite interval of $\mathbb{R}$ , and a constant-sign periodic solution when I is a finite interval of $\mathbb{R}$ . The above problem is also extended to that on $\mathbb{R}$ $$u_{i} {\left( t \right)} = {\int_\mathbb{R} {g_{i} {\left( {t,s} \right)}f_{i} {\left( {s,u_{1} {\left( s \right)},u_{2} {\left( s \right)}, \cdots ,u_{n} {\left( s \right)}} \right)}ds\quad t \in \mathbb{R},\quad 1 \leqslant i \leqslant n.} }$$   相似文献

We provide a matrix invariant for isometry classes of p-tuples of points in the Grassmann manifold ${G_{n}\left(\mathbb{K}^{d}\right) }$ ( ${\mathbb{K=\mathbb{R}}}$ or ${\mathbb{C}}$ ). This invariant fully characterizes the p-tuple. We use it to classify the regular p-tuples of ${G_{2}\left(\mathbb{R}^{d}\right) }$ , ${G_{3}\left( \mathbb{R}^{d}\right) }$ and ${G_{2}\left( \mathbb{C}^{d}\right) }$ .  相似文献

Suppose that n is even. Let ${\mathbb{F}_2}$ denote the two-element field and ${\mathbb{Z}}$ the set of integers. Bent functions can be defined as ± 1-valued functions on ${\mathbb{F}_2^n}$ with ± 1-valued Fourier transform. More generally we call a mapping f on ${\mathbb{F}_2^n}$ a ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent function if both f and its Fourier transform ${\widehat{f}}$ are integer-valued. ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions f are separated into different levels, depending on the size of the maximal absolute value attained by f and ${\widehat{f}}$ . It is shown how ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions of lower level can be built up recursively by gluing together ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions of higher level. This recursion comes down at level zero, containing the usual bent functions. In the present paper we start to study bent functions in the framework of ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -bent functions and give some guidelines for further research.  相似文献

A Gizatullin surface is a normal affine surface V over $ \mathbb{C} $ , which can be completed by a zigzag; that is, by a linear chain of smooth rational curves. In this paper we deal with the question of uniqueness of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions and $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations on such a surface V up to automorphisms. The latter fibrations are in one to one correspondence with $ \mathbb{C}_{{\text{ + }}} $ -actions on V considered up to a “speed change”. Non-Gizatullin surfaces are known to admit at most one $ \mathbb{A}^{1} $ -fibration VS up to an isomorphism of the base S. Moreover, an effective $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -action on them, if it does exist, is unique up to conjugation and inversion t $ \mapsto $ t ?1 of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ . Obviously, uniqueness of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions fails for affine toric surfaces. There is a further interesting family of nontoric Gizatullin surfaces, called the Danilov-Gizatullin surfaces, where there are in general several conjugacy classes of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions and $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations, see, e.g., [FKZ1]. In the present paper we obtain a criterion as to when $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations of Gizatullin surfaces are conjugate up to an automorphism of V and the base $ S \cong \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ . We exhibit as well large subclasses of Gizatullin $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -surfaces for which a $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -action is essentially unique and for which there are at most two conjugacy classes of $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations over $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ .  相似文献

Given a vector field ${\mathfrak{a}}$ on ${\mathbb{R}^3}$ , we consider a mapping ${x\mapsto \Pi_{\mathfrak{a}}(x)}$ that assigns to each ${x\in\mathbb{R}^3}$ , a plane ${\Pi_{\mathfrak{a}}(x)}$ containing x, whose normal vector is ${\mathfrak{a}(x)}$ . Associated with this mapping, we define a maximal operator ${\mathcal{M}^{\mathfrak{a}}_N}$ on ${L^1_{loc}(\mathbb{R}^3)}$ for each ${N\gg 1}$ by $$\mathcal{M}^{\mathfrak{a}}_Nf(x)=\sup_{x\in\tau} \frac{1}{|\tau|} \int_{\tau}|f(y)|\,dy$$ where the supremum is taken over all 1/N ×? 1/N?× 1 tubes τ whose axis is embedded in the plane ${\Pi_\mathfrak{a}(x)}$ . We study the behavior of ${\mathcal{M}^{\mathfrak{a}}_N}$ according to various vector fields ${\mathfrak{a}}$ . In particular, we classify the operator norms of ${\mathcal{M}^{\mathfrak{a}}_N}$ on ${L^2(\mathbb{R}^3)}$ when ${\mathfrak{a}(x)}$ is the linear function of the form (a 11 x 1?+?a 21 x 2, a 12 x 1?+?a 22 x 2, 1). The operator norm of ${\mathcal{M}^\mathfrak{a}_N}$ on ${L^2(\mathbb{R}^3)}$ is related with the number given by $$D=(a_{12}+a_{21})^2-4a_{11}a_{22}.$$   相似文献
