Homo and heterobinuclear complexes of arylidene- anthranilic acids with Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) are prepared and characterised by chemical analysis, spectral and X-ray diffraction techniques as well as conductivity measurements. Two types of homo-binuclear complexes are formed. The first has the formula M2L2Cl2(H2O)n where M=Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II), L = p-hydroxybenzylideneanthranilic acid (hba), p-dimethylaminobenzylideneanthranilic acid (daba) and p-nitrobenzylideneanthranilic acid(nba) and n = 0–3. The second type has the formula M2LCl3(H2O)n in which M is the same as in the first type, L = benzylideneanthranilic acid (ba), (daba) (in cases of Cu(II) and Ni(II)); and n = 1–5. Heterobinuclear complexes having the formula (MLCl2H2O) MCl2(H2O)n are isolated by reaction of Cu(II) binary chelates with Ni(II) and/or Co(II) chlorides. These are also characterized and their structures are elucidated.  相似文献

The reactions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) chlorides and bromides and their metallic powders with tetrazol-1-yl-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane (L) afforded new complexes ML2Hal2 · mH2O(M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Cl; M = Cu(II), Hal = Cl or Br, m = 0; and M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Br, m = 2), MLnCl2 (M = Co(II) or Ni(II), n = 2 or 4; M = Cu(II), n = 2), and MLnBr2 · mH2O (M = Ni(II), n = 2, m = 2; M = Cu(II), n = 2, m = 0). The compositions and structures of the synthesized complexes were determined by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy (50–4000 cm−1), and X-ray diffraction analysis. The introduction of a bulky substituent into position 1 of the tetrazole cycle was shown to exert almost no effect on the coordination mode but affected the composition and structure of the complexes.  相似文献

The 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) orotates were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods (UV-vis and FTIR) and thermal analysis techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions in diaquabis(1,10-phenanthroline)metal(II) diorotate octahedral complexes [M(H2O)2(phen)2](H2Or)2·nH2O (M=Co(II), n=2.25; Ni(II), n=3; Cu(II) and Cd(II), n=2) are coordinated by two aqua ligands and two moles of phen molecules as chelating ligands through their two nitrogen atoms. The monoanionic orotate behaves as a counter ion in the complexes. On the basis of the first DTGmax, the thermal stability of the hydrated complexes follows the order: Cd(II), 68°C 68°C  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)3,3-dimethylglutarates were investigated and their quantitative composition, solubility in water at 293 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with general formula MC7H10O4nH2O (n=0−2) were recorded and their thermal decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes of Mn(II),Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) are dehydrated in one step and next all the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Co, Zn) or with intermediate formation free metal (Ni,Cu) or oxocarbonates (Cd). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are bidentate. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II)attain values 5.62, 5.25, 2.91 and 1.41 M.B., respectively. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 4-methylphthalates were investigated and their composition, solubility in water at 295 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with molar ratio of metal to organic ligand of 1.0:1.0 and general formula: M [ CH3C6H3(CO2)2nH2o (n=1-3) were recorded and their decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes are dehydrated in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd) or two steps (Cu) and next the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Cu, Zn), with intermediate formation of carbonates (Mn, Cd), oxocarbonates (Ni) or carbonate and free metal (Co). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are mono- and bidentate (Co, Ni), bidentate chelating and bridging (Zn) or bidentate chelating (Mn, Cu, Cd). The magnetic moments for paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.92, 5.05, 3.36 and 1.96 M.B., respectively. New complexes of iron(II), cobalt(II), and nickel(II) with 4-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (PyTrz), [Fe3(PyTrz)8(H2O)4]A6 (A = NO3 -, ClO4 -, Br-) and [M3(PyTrz)8(H2O)4](NO3)6 (M = Co, Ni), were synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction, magnetochemical method, and electronic and IR spectroscopy. The complex [Fe3(PyTrz)8(H2O)4](NO3)6) was also studied by adiabatic calorimetry. The Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) nitrate complexes were shown to be isostructural to the previously synthesized linear trinuclear [Cu3(PyTrz)8H2O)4](NO3)6 complex. In all compounds, antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between M2+ ions were detected. The complex [Fe3(PyTrz)8(H2O)4](NO3)6 undergoes the 1 A 1 5 T 2 spin transition.  相似文献

The cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc atoms in bis(1,10-phenanthroline)bis(salicylato-O)metal(II) monomeric octahedral complexes [M(Hsal)2(phen)2nH2O, (M: Co(II), n=1; Cu(II), n=1.5 and Ni(II), Zn(II), n=2) are coordinated by the salicylato monoanion (Hsal) through the carboxyl oxygen in a monodentate fashion and by the 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) molecule through the two amine nitrogen atoms in a bidentate chelating manner. On the basis of the DTGmax, the thermal stability of the hydrated complexes follows order: Ni(II) (149°C)>Co(II) (134°C)>Zn(II) (132°C)>Cu(II) (68°C) in static air atmosphere. In the second stage, the pyrolysis of the anhydrous complexes takes place. The third stage of decomposition is associated with a strong exothermic oxidation process (DTA curves: 410, 453, 500 and 450°C for the Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes, respectively). The final decomposition products, namely CoO, NiO, CuO and ZnO, were identified by IR spectroscopy. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A series of binuclear Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes were synthesized by the template condensation of glyoxal, biacetyl or benzil bis-hydrazide, 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol and Co(II), Ni(II) or Cu(II) chloride in a 2:2:2 M ratio in ethanol. These 22-membered macrocyclic complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic, molar conductance, spectral, thermal and fluorescence studies. Elemental analyses suggest the complexes have a 2:1 stoichiometry of the type [M2LX2nH2O and [Ni2LX22H2O]·nH2O (where M = Co(II) and Cu(II); L = H2L1, H2L2 and H2L3; X = Cl; n = 2). From the spectroscopic and magnetic studies, it has been concluded that the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes display a five coordinated square pyramidal geometry and the Ni(II) complexes have a six coordinated octahedral geometry. The Schiff bases and their metal complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by the MIC method.  相似文献

Extraction of Hg(II), Se(IV), Mn(II) and Co(II) has been carried out with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-trifluoroacetyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one (HPMTFP) and triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) into chloroform from pH 1–10. Quantitative extraction of Hg(II), Mn(II) and Co(II) at pH 4 with equimolar 0.05M (PMTFP+TPPO) in chloroform was observed. Se(IV) remains unextracted at this pH range. The stoichiometric composition of the extracted complexes M(PMTFP)2·nH2O (M=Mn, Hg), M(PMTFP)2·2TPPO (M=Mn and Co) and Co(PMTFP)2·TPPO·H2O at less than 0.1M TPPO has been established. The formation constantsK m,0 andK m,n and stability constants m,n have been computed. The analytical method developed was applied to the IAEA standard reference material (SRM) potato fluor V-4 for the determination of these elements using NAA technique.  相似文献

Novel oligonuclear complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) with 4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,4-triazole (L) of the composition [M3L10(H2O)2](NO3)6 (M = Co(II), Ni(II)), [Ni3L6(H2O)6]Hal6 (Hal = Cl?, Br?), and [Cu5L16(H2O)2](NO3)10 · 2H2O were synthesized and studied by magnetic susceptibility, electronic and IR spectroscopy, and powder X-ray diffraction methods. All the above complexes are X-ray amorphous. Antifer-romagnetic exchange interactions between the M2+ ions were discovered in the [Co3L10(H2O)2](NO3)6 and [Ni3L10(H2O)2](NO3)6 complexes, whereas ferromagnetic exchange interactions were observed in the complexes [Ni3L6(H2O)6]Cl6, [Ni3L6(H2O)6]Br6, and [Cu5L16(H2O)2](NO3)10 · 2H2O.  相似文献

The reactions between Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) ions with isocinchomeronic acid (H2-isocin) afforded complexes of the general formula M(H-isocin)2-2H2O, whereas Fe(II) gives both red and deep red-brown products of the same formula. Various physical measurements suggest that the complexes of M = Co, Ni, Zn, and Fe (brown) are octahedrally coordinated by two aqua ligands and twotrans-N,O-bidentate H-isocin anions with dimeric hydrogen bonding. Those for M = Mn and Fe (red) are the correspondingcis isomers. The structure of the manganese complex as determined by X-ray crystallography exhibitsC 2 molecular symmetry with Mn-N = 2.279(2), Mn-O(H-isocin) = 2.196(2), and Mn-O(aqua) = 2.137(2) Å. Each aqua ligand forms two donor O-H O hydrogen bonds with carboxy groups of different molecules in adjacent chains.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(painh)(H2O)2X], where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); X = Cl2 or SO4; painh = p-amino acetophenone isonicotinoyl hydrazone, have been synthesized and characterized by spectral and other physico-chemical techniques. The synthesized complexes are stable powders, insoluble in common organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and diethyl ether, and are non-electrolytes. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) studies show that the organic ligand decomposes exothermically through various steps. TGA and Infrared (IR) spectral studies indicate the presence of coordinated water in the metal complexes. Magnetic susceptibility measurements and electronic spectra suggest that Mn(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes are paramagnetic with octahedral geometry, whereas Cu(II) complexes have distorted octahedral geometry. The neutral bidentate ligand bonds through >C=O and >C=N–groups in all the complexes. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectra in the solid state show axial symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2(SO4)] and elongated rhombic symmetry for [Cu(painh)(H2O)2Cl2], suggesting an elongated tetragonally-distorted octahedral structure for both complexes. X-ray powder diffraction parameters for two complexes correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices. The metal complexes show fair antifungal activity against Rizoctonia sp., Aspergillus sp., Stemphylium sp., and Penicillium sp. and appreciable antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas sp. and Escherichia coli.  相似文献

The triethanolamine complexes, [M(tea)2]sq·nH2O, (n=2 for Co(II), n=0 for Ni(II), Cu(II) and n=1 for Cd(II), tea=triethanolamine, sq2−=squarate), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements, UV-Vis and IR spectra, and thermal analyses techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes possess octahedral geometry, while the Cd(II) complex is monocapped trigonal prismatic geometry. Dianionic squarate behaves as a counter ion in the complexes. The thermal decomposition of these complexes takes place in three stages: (i) dehydration, (ii) release of the tea ligands and (iii) burning of organic residue. On the basis of the first DTGmax of the decomposition, the thermal stability of the anhydrous complexes follows the order: Ni(II), 289°C>Co(II), 230°C>Cu(II), 226°C>Cu(II), 170°C in static air atmosphere. The final decomposition products — the respective metal oxides — were identified by FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Previously unknown [ML2(H2O) n ] bischelates, where M is Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), or Cu(II) and L is deprotonated triformylmethane, are studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. It is revealed that in the crystals of all compounds there are multiple hydrogen bonds linking bischelate molecules into polymer layers or a single framework. The character of the temperature dependence of the effective magnetic moment [ML2(H2O) n ] indicates the existences of weak intracrystalline exchange interactions between the unpaired electrons of the paramagnetic centers.  相似文献

Summary Cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 3, 5-dimethyl-1-(4, 6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidyl)pyrazole (DPymPz) have been synthesized and characterized. Magnetic and electronic spectral features show that both [M(DPymPz)2X2nH2O [M=cobalt(II) or nickel(II), X=Cl, Br, I, SCN, NO3, ClO4 or BF4 andn=0 or 2] and [Cu(DPymPz)X2(H2O)2] (X=Cl, Br or SCN) are essentially octahedral species. The i.r. spectra indicate that DPymPz is a neutral bidentate ligand being the pyrazolyl and one pyrimidyl ring nitrogen. The X is bonded to the central metal ion in a majority of the complexes.Part 5: N. Saha and D. Mukherjee,Polyhedron,5, 1317 (1986).  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methylglutarates were prepared as solids with general formula MC6 H8 O4 ×n H2 O, where n =0–8. Their solubilities in water at 293 K were determined (7.0×10−2 −4.2×10−3 mol dm−3 ). The IR spectra were recorded and thermal decomposition in air was investigated. The IR spectra suggest that the carboxylate groups are mono- or bidentate. During heating the hydrated complexes lose some water molecules in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu) or two steps (Cd) and then mono- (Cu) or dihydrates (Mn, Co, Ni) decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Cu, Co) or with intermediate formation of free metals (Co, Ni). Anhydrous Zn(II) complex decomposes directly to the oxide ZnO. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A series of new 3d metal complexes based on dimethyl pyridin-2-ylcarbamoylphosphoramidate (HL) was synthesized. The compounds with general formula M(HL)2Cl2·nH2O and M(L)2·nH2O (M=Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+) were characterized by means of single-crystal X-ray analysis and IR spectroscopy. The organic ligands in all complexes are coordinated via oxygen atom of the carbonyl group and nitrogen atom of the heterocycle. The coordination environment of the central atoms is a distorted octahedron. The axial positions in the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes with deprotonated ligands are occupied by water molecules. The Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes with phosphoryl ligands in a neutral form have different ligands in the axial positions: in the Co(II) complex, the positions are occupied by two water molecules, whereas in the Cu(II) complex, the positions are occupied by two chlorine anions. The structure of HL was experimentally and theoretically obtained by utilizing single-crystal X-ray analysis and DFT calculations. The computationally optimized geometric parameters for HL show a good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

A series of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes have been synthesized with Schiff bases derived from 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole and indole-3-aldehyde in ethanol. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic, spectroscopic (IR, UV-Vis, H-NMR, ESR, FAB-mass), thermal, electrochemical (CV) and solid state d.c. electrical conductivity studies. The elemental analyses confirm 1 : 2 stoichiometry of the type ML2·2H2O (M = Co/Ni) and ML2 (M=Cu). The complexes are colored solids and non-electrolytes in DMF and DMSO. Magnetic and spectral data suggest octahedral geometry for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes and square-planar geometry for Cu(II) complexes. The presence of coordinated water in Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes was confirmed by thermal and IR data of the complexes. The complexes are insoluble in water and common organic solvents and decompose at higher temperature. All these ligands and their complexes have also been screened for antibacterial (Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and antifungal activities (Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus fumigates) by the cup plate method.  相似文献

Summary Six metal(II) complexes with Morin ML2·nH2O [L = Morin(2-OH group deprotonated); M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, or Cd; n = 2 or 3] have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, i.r., 1H-n.m.r., t.g.-d.t.a and u.v.-vis. spectroscopic techniques and by fluorescence analysis. Comparative antitumour activities of Morin·2H2O and two complexes [ZnL2·3H2O and CuL2·2H2O] were tested by in vitro screening. The results show that the inhibitory ratio of complexes against the tested tumour cells was higher than that of Morin.  相似文献

Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II) complexes of 6-(2-phenyldiazenyl)-7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin (PAHC) are characterized based on elemental analyses, infrared, 1H NMR, magnetic moment, molar conductance, mass spectra, UV-Vis analysis, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and X-ray powder diffraction. From the elemental analyses, it is found that the complexes have formulae [M(L)2(H2O) n ] ? xH2O (where M = Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II), n = 0–2, x = 1–4). The molar conductance data reveal that all the metal chelates are non-electrolytes. From the magnetic and solid reflectance spectra, it is found that the structures of these complexes are octahedral or tetrahedral. The synthesized ligand and metal complexes were screened for antibacterial activity against some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.  相似文献
