Si3Xn (X=C,O,N;n=1,2)团簇的密度泛函研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
使用密度泛函理论(DFT)的杂化密度泛函B3LYP方法在6-31G*基组水平上对Si3Xn(X=C,O,N;n=1,2)团簇各种可能的构型进行几何结构优化,预测了各团簇的最稳定结构.并对最稳定结构的电子结构、振动特性、成键特性和电荷特性等进行了理论研究.结果表明团簇的几何结构都是平面结构,通常Si3X2出现是Si-X键,较少出现X-X键;而Si3X中出现Si-X键和Si-Si键共存,Si3Xn(X=C,O,N;n=1,2)团簇的电荷布局分布表明这种电荷转移的作用使得团簇中所有X原子呈负电性,Si原子显正电性.处于不同位置的Si原子呈不同大小布局数,而且由于Si3X2的对称性,2个X负电性相同.  相似文献

We report the recent findings of metal (M) encapsulated clusters of silicon from computer experiments based on ab initio total energy calculations and a cage shrinkage and atom removal approach. Our results show that using a guest atom, it is possible to wrap silicon in fullerenelike (f) structures, as sp2 bonding is not favorable to produce empty cages unlike for carbon. Transition M atoms have a strong bonding with the silicon cage that are responsible for the compact structures. The size and structure of the cage change from 14 to 20 Si atoms depending upon the size and valence of the M atom. Fewer Si atoms lead to relatively open structures. We find cubic, f, Frank-Kasper (FK) polyheral type, decahedral, icosahedral and hexagonal structures for M@Sin with n = 12-16 and several different M atoms. The magic behavior of 15 and 16 atom Si cages is in agreement with experiments. The FK polyhedral cluster, M@Si16 has an exceptionally large density functional gap of about 2.35 eV calculated within the generalized gradient approximation. It is likely to give rise to visible luminescence in these clusters. The cluster-cluster interaction is weak that makes such clusters attractive for cluster assembled materials. Further studies to stabilize Si20 cage with M = Zr, Ba, Sr, and Pb show that in all cases there is a distortion of the f cage. Similar studies on M encapsulated germanium clusters show FK polyhedral and decahedral isomers to be more favorable. Also perfect icosahedral M@Ge12 and M@Sn12 clusters have been obtained with large gaps by doping with divalent M atoms. Recent results of the H interaction with these clusters, hydrogenated silicon fullerenes as well as assemblies of clusters such as nanowires and nanotubes are briefly presented.  相似文献

Using a parameterized density-functional tight-binding method we have calculated the electronic and structural properties of Ge–Si nanoparticles. Starting with a spherical part of a zinc-blende/diamond crystal (with the center of the sphere at the mid-point of a nearest-neighbour bond) we have constructed initial structures that subsequently were allowed to relax. Structures consisting solely of Ge atoms or solely of Si atoms were studied, together with core-shell structures for which one semiconductor forms a shell on the core of the other semiconductor. Moreover, homogeneous, ordered SiGe structures as well as structures with a semisphere of one semiconductor and a semisphere of the other were also considered. In analysing the results special emphasis is put on identifying particularly stable structures, on explaining the occurrence of those, on the spatial distribution of the frontier orbitals, and on the variation of the total energy with structure and composition.  相似文献

The magnetic and electronic properties of TM (TM=Cr, Mn, and Fe) adatoms adsorption on Si(001) surface are studied by means of the first-principles method. For the adsorption of a single TM atom on Si(001), we obtain decreasing spin moments and increasing adsorption energies as TM varies from Cr to Fe. In the case of TM dimers adsorption, the calculated results show that the spin coupling changes from antiferromagnetic (AFM) to ferromagnetic (FM) as the 3d electrons increased. AFM coupling is found to be preferred for Cr, while FM coupling is energetically favorable for Mn and Fe. In the case of TM wires, we find that the FM state is energetically preferred for Mn and Fe atoms on the Si(001) surface, while for Cr wires, the up–down–up state for P–M–M site Cr atoms seems to be more energy favorable. We also find that the silicon surfaces become metallic for the adsorption of TM wires.  相似文献

SiC is a highly stable material in bulk. On the other hand, alloys of silicon and carbon at nanoscale length are interesting from both technological as well fundamental view point and are being currently synthesized by various experimental groups (Truong et. al., 2015 [26]). In the present work, we identify a well-known silicon cluster viz., Si10 and dope it sequentially with carbon atoms. The evolution of electronic structure (spin state and the structural properties) on doping, the charge redistribution and structural properties are analyzed. It is interesting to note that the ground state SiC clusters prefer to be in the lowest spin state. Further, it is seen that carbon atoms are the electron rich centres while silicon atoms are electron deficient in every SiC alloy cluster. The carbon–carbon bond lengths in alloy clusters are equivalent to those seen in fullerene molecules. Interestingly, the carbon atoms tend to aggregate together with silicon atoms surrounding them by donating the charge. As a consequence, very few Si–Si bonds are noted with increasing concentrations of C atoms in a SiC alloy. Physical and chemical stability of doped clusters is studied by carrying out finite temperature behaviour and adsorbing O2 molecule on Si9C and Si8C2 clusters, respectively.  相似文献

本文运用第一性原理对AlmSin(m=1,2;n=1~6)团簇的结构与性质进行了研究.在BLYP的水平上进行了结构优化和频率分析,得到了团簇的最低能量结构.同时计算和讨论了A1msin团簇的束缚能、总能的二阶能量差分和分裂能以及费米能随原子数的变化.研究结果表明:AlmSin团簇在m+n<4时的几何结构是平面结构,从4个原子开始转为空间的立体结构;除AlSi3和Al2Si2团簇外,AlmSin(m=1,2;n=1~6)团簇的束缚能随原子数增加而减小;分析A1mSin(m=1,2;n=1~6)团簇的二阶能量差分和分裂能发现:在m+n=3,5时,团簇都出现较稳定的结构.  相似文献

The structural, electronic and magnetic properties of TMGen (TM=Mn, Co, Ni; n=1-13) have been investigated using spin polarized density functional theory. The transition metal (TM) atom prefers to occupy surface positions for n<9 and endohedral positions for n≥9. The critical size of the cluster to form endohedral complexes is at n=9, 10 and 11 for Mn, Co and Ni respectively. The binding energy of TMGen clusters increases with increase in cluster size. The Ni doped Gen clusters have shown higher stability as compared to Mn and Co doped Gen clusters. The HOMO-LUMO gap for spin up and down electronic states of Gen clusters is found to change significantly on TM doping. The magnetic moment in TMGen is introduced due to the presence of TM. The magnetic moment is mainly localized at the TM site and neighbouring Ge atoms. The magnetic moment is quenched in NiGen clusters for all n except for n=2, 4 and 8.  相似文献

We have measured attenuation cross sections and fragmentation cross sections for protonated water clusters H(H2O)n + (n = 1 to 100) colliding with noble gas atoms (He and Xe) at a laboratory energy of 50 keV. In collisions with He, a transparency effect in the attenuation cross section was observed. For the case of fragmentation in collisions with Xe, a strong enhancement of small clusters was observed which we attribute to multifragmentation. Received 30 November 2000  相似文献

Abstract

We simulated the bombardment of Si(100)(2 × 1) by Si atoms using molecular dynamics. The kinetic energies of the projectiles were 100 and 50 eV. To model the Si–Si-interactions the empirical potential of Stillinger and Weber with the two body part of the potential splined to the universal potential was used. A geometric criterion based on the Lindemann radius was defined to study damage in the Si target. We observed clusters of disordered Si atoms in the target induced by the bombardment. Large clusters of about 50 atoms are formed in the beginning of the bombardment; they shrink and decay into smaller clusters until and equilibrium cluster size of about 10 atoms is reached. Upon annealing at elevated temperature the disordered zones dissolve into point defects.  相似文献

The spectra of deep inner-core excited mixed rare-gas clusters were recorded by using electron ion coincidence (EICO) and multi-hit momentum imaging (MHMI) techniques. The EICO spectra for Ar99Kr1 clusters reveal that singly charged ions are emitted from the inner-core excited clusters in addition to the multiple charged ions. The dependence of the EICO spectra on photon energy and cluster size suggests that the holes created through vacancy cascade on the krypton atoms are transferred to the surrounding atoms, and that the singly charged ions are the primary product of the krypton photoabsorption. Charge localization is suggested for the inner-core excited mixed rare-gas clusters from the analysis of the EICO peak width. The MHMI measurements give us direct evidence for the strong charge migration from X-ray absorbing atoms to surrounding atoms. The photon energy dependence of the PSD image for fragment ions suggests that the momentum of the fragment ions depends on the number of charges generated by the vacancy cascade.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论(DFT)中的b3lyp方法,在lanl2dz基组水平上对PtIrn0,±(n=1~5)团簇的各种可能构型进行几何参数全优化,得到它们的基态构型,并对其稳定性进行计算研究.结果表明:PtIrn0,±(n=1~5)团簇存在多种异构体,在原子数较少时均为二维平面结构,随着原子数的增加其基态结构变为三维结构;团簇的热力学稳定性随着原子个数的增加越来越好,PtIr3+团簇稳定性最好,与纯Ir团簇相比,PtIrn(n=1~5)团簇更易得到电子,非金属性增强;Ir原子对团簇的稳定性起到了主导作用.  相似文献

The structural and magnetic properties of TM_(13 )and TM_(13)@Au_(32 )clusters(TM=Mn,Co)are studied by firstprinciples calculations.We find that the Au_(32 )cluster can tune not only the magnetic moment but also the magnetic coupling properties between the TM atoms of the TM cluster.The Au_(32 )cluster can increase the net magnetic moment of Mn_(13 )clusters while reducing that of Co_(13 )clusters.The interaction between Au and Mn atoms induces more Mn atoms to form spin parallel coupling,resulting in an increase of the total magnetic moment of Mn_(13 )clusters,while for the Co_(13 )clusters,the interaction between Au and Co atoms does not change the magnetic coupling states between the Co atoms,but reduces the magnetic moment of the Co atoms,leading to a decrease of the total magnetic moment of this system.Our findings indicate that the encapsulation of Au_(32 )clusters can not only raise the chemical stability of TM clusters,but also can tune their magnetic coupling properties and magnetic moment,which enables such systems to be widely applied in fields of spintronics and medical science.  相似文献

Classical (Heisenberg) simulations show that the total magnetization of the lowest-energy states of clusters made of antiferromagnetically coupled chromium atoms is planar, rather than collinear, depending on the arrangement of the atoms. Although the model Hamiltonian is not restrictive, many cluster configurations of various numbers of atoms do not use all three directions for the spins. This result confirms the conclusion drawn from the local-spin DFT calculation by Kohl and Bertsch that clusters of N≤13 have non-collinear magnetic moments. The present simulations show non-collinear spin ordering also for bigger clusters, designed to be as spherical as possible following the bcc arrangement, when atoms interact both with the nearest and next-nearest neighbours. Depending on the signs of the coupling constants frustration appears. The advantage of the discrete model, despite the simplicity, is that very large clusters and magnetization at finite temperatures can be studied. This model predicts that clusters with specific numbers of atoms interacting only with the nearest neighbours have collinear spins as in the bulk. We also apply the model to simulate the destruction of the anti-ferromagnetic ordering by thermal fluctuations. This model shows no unique magnetization of mixed Fe 0.33 Cr 0.67, which is consistent with experimental observations.  相似文献

基于密度泛函的B3LYP/6-311+G (d)方法研究基态结构CuSin(n=4~10)和 CuSin阴离子团簇的电子结构和紫外吸收谱。计算结果表明:(1)中性CuSin 团簇的带隙要比阴离子团簇的带隙要小,说明阴离子团簇比中性的要稳定;(2)阴离子CuSi5团簇要比相邻的其他团簇稳定;(3)紫外吸收谱可看出中性 CuSin团簇属弱吸收而阴离子则表现出很强的吸收。对阴离子来说,随着硅原子的增加有红移现象发生。  相似文献

Density functional theory has been employed in order to investigate the structure and stability of Si@Al12Hn () clusters. Hydrogenated Si@Al12 clusters exhibit pronounced stability for even numbers of H atoms. Large binding energy, HOMO-LUMO gaps and increased ionization potentials imply that these clusters should be physically and chemically stable. The analysis of the charge density of the HOMO plot illustrates that a pair of hydrogen atoms prefer to occupy opposing on-top sites for clusters with an even n number. Studies of deformation charge density plots demonstrate that significant charge transfer occurs from the Si@Al12 to the H atoms.  相似文献

利用杂化密度泛函B3LYP方法, 在6-311+G(d, p)基组水平上对Si6和Li修饰的Si6团簇的几何结构和电子性质及储氢性能进行模拟计算和理论研究. 结果表明, Si6团簇最低能量构型为笼型结构, 纯Si6团簇不能有效吸附氢分子. Li原子的引入显著改善了Si6团簇的储氢能力. 以两个Li原子端位修饰Si6团簇为载体, 其氢分子的平均吸附能为1.692~2.755 kcal/mol, 每个Li原子周围可以有效吸附五个氢分子, 储氢密度可达9.952wt%. 合适的吸附能和较高储氢密度表明Li修饰Si6团簇有望成为理想的储氢材料.  相似文献

This study examined the oxidation and reduction behavior of mass-selected Au clusters consisting of 2-13 atoms deposited on silica. An atomic oxygen environment was used for the oxidation of Au. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to identify Au(III) and Au(O). Au5, Au7 and Au13 clusters deposited on the as-prepared SiO2/Si substrates were highly inert towards oxidation, whereas the other clusters could be oxidized, i.e. the chemical property drastically changed with the number of atoms in a cluster. The size-selectivity in chemical reactivity remained unchanged upon air-exposure. The chemical properties of the deposited Au clusters were unchanged after annealing at 250 °C. Annealing at higher temperatures caused structural changes to the surface, as determined by the oxidation behavior. XPS of the deposited Au clusters upon annealing indicated charge transfer from Au to silica.  相似文献
