The design, synthesis and coordination of a novel multisite vic-dioxime compound, LH2, containing flexible pyridine substituents and aminophenylsulfanyl moieties on the periphery, facilitating solubility in water as pyridinium hydrochloride salt are described. LH2 was prepared by the reaction between 2-(2-pyridylethylamino)-benzenethiol and (E,E)-dichloroglydioxime. Mononuclear [(E,E)M] (M=NiII, CuII, CoII, FeII and MnII) and dinuclear uranyl (UO2 II) complexes of LH2 were isolated and characterized with metal:ligand ratios of 1:2 and 2:2, respectively. The reaction of Na2PdCl4·3H2O and AgNO3 in DMF with the mononuclear complex, (LH)2Ni, resulted in the formation of the heterotrinuclear complexes [Pd2Ni(LH)2]Cl4 and [Ag2Ni(LH)2](NO3)2. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H-n.m.r., u.v.--vis. spectroscopy, i.r., and MS (LSIMS). The redox properties of the complexes were studied by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Three complexes of the general formula M{CpFe(η5-C5H4CH=N–N=C(S)NH2}2 [where M = NiII ( 2a ), PdII ( 2b ) and ZnII ( 2c )] were synthesized with formylferrocene thiosemicarbazone ( 1 ) as a bidentate ligand. All compounds were characterized using conventional spectroscopic and analytical techniques (infrared, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis). The molecular structure of 2b was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray analysis. To study the photocatalytic activity of the new complexes ( 2a–c ), methylene blue (MB) was selected as a model pollutant. After 180 min, the degradation efficiency of MB reached 87% for 2a , 76% for 2b and 85% for 2c , and all complexes showed a higher photocatalytic activity than the formylferrocene thiosemicarbazone free ligand 1 . Theoretical studies were used to characterize the geometry and electronic structure of the compounds and to provide a rational explanation for the measured photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

The reaction of an equimolar mixture of N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamidine (1) and di(tert-butyl)phosphane with dimethylzinc yields dinuclear bis(methylzinc) bis(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamidinate di(tert-butyl)phosphanide (2). A similar protocol allows the preparation of bis(alkylzinc) bis(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamidinate tert-butylamide [zinc-bound methyl (3) or trimethylsilylmethyl group (4)]. The reactions of 3 and 4 with diphenylsilane lead to the formation of insoluble dimeric bis(alkylzinc) N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamidinate hydrides [zinc-bound methyl (5) or trimethylsilylmethyl group (6)]. These zinc hydrides decompose once dissolved under formation of elemental zinc thus hampering catalytic applications. Molecular structures of [(1)ZnCl2] as well as of the zinc complexes 2 to 6 are discussed.  相似文献

Mono- and dinuclear ruthenium(II) complexes of six bridging ligands that contain a central arene (phenyl, naphthalenyl or biphenyl) core to which are attached two di-2-pyridylamine groups have been prepared. These complexes possess six-membered chelate rings. Full assignments of their 1H NMR spectra are described which provides insight into the comformations of the ligands in these complexes. The extent of metal–metal communication in the dinuclear complexes was probed by electrochemical measurements and related to metal–metal distances.  相似文献

A series of novel Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes, [PdL(2)Cl(2)]·DMF (1), [Pd(2)(L-H)(2)(bpy)Cl(2)]·(H(2)O)(2)·DMF (2), [Pd(2)(L-H)(2)(phen)Cl(2)]·2H(2)O (3), [PtL(2)Cl(2)]·H(2)O (4), [Pt(2)(L-H)(2)(bpy)Cl(2)]·2H(2)O (5), and [Pt(2)(L-H)(2)(phen)Cl(2)]·H(2)O (6), where bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, and L = 1,3-benzothiazol-2-amine, have been synthesized and characterized. The competitive binding of the complexes to DNA has been investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. The values of the apparent DNA binding constant, calculated from fluorescence spectral studies, were 3.8 × 10(6) (K(app)(4)), 2.9 × 10(6) (K(app)(1)), 2.4 × 10(6) (K(app)(6)), 2.0 × 10(6) (K(app)(5)), 1.2 × 10(6) (K(app)(3)), and 6.9 × 10(5) (K(app)(2)). The binding parameters for the fluorescence Scatchard plot were also determined. On the basis of the data obtained, it indicates that the six complexes bind to DNA with different binding affinities in the relative order 4 > 1 > 6 > 5 > 3 > 2. Viscosity studies carried out on the interaction of complexes with Fish Sperm DNA (FS-DNA) suggested that all complexes bind by intercalation. Gel electrophoresis assay demonstrates that all the complexes can cleave the pBR 322 plasmid DNA and bind to DNA in a similar mode. The cytotoxic activity of the complexes has been also tested against four different cancer cell lines. The results show that all complexes have activity against KB, AGZY-83a, Hep-G2, and HeLa cells. In general, the Pt(II) complexes were found to be more effective than the isostructural Pd(II) complexes. The mononuclear complexes exhibited excellent activity in comparison with the dinuclear complexes in these four cell lines. Moreover, on the KB cell line (the human oral epithelial carcinoma), the observed result seems quite encouraging for the six complexes with IC(50) values ranging from 1.5 to 8.6 μM. Furthermore, apoptosis assay with hematoxylin-eosin staining shows treatment with the six complexes results in morphological changes of KB cells. The results induce apoptosis in KB cells.  相似文献

Mixed ligand complexes having the formulae Cu(RPO)2Py2, Cu(RPO)2Im2 and Cu(DBO)2Py2 [RPO = resacetophenone oxime, DBO = 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone oxime, Py = pyridine and Im = imidazole] have been synthesized and characterized by UV–Vis, IR, ESR, cyclic voltammetry and magnetic susceptibility methods. Absorption studies revealed that each of these octahedral complexes is an avid binder of calf thymus DNA. The apparent binding constants for mixed ligand complexes are in order of 104–105 M−1. Based on the data obtained in the DNA binding studies a partial intercalative mode of binding is suggested for these complexes. The nucleolytic cleavage activity of the adducts was carried out on double stranded pBR322 circular plasmid DNA by using a gel electrophoresis experiment in the presence and absence of oxidant (H2O2). All the metal complexes cleaved supercoiled DNA by hydrolytic and oxidative paths. The oxidative path dominates the hydrolytic cleavage. The hydrolytic cleavage of DNA is evidenced from the control experiments showing discernable cleavage inhibition in the presence of the hydroxyl radical inhibitor DMSO or the singlet oxygen quencher azide ion.  相似文献

A dinuclear CuII complex [Cu2(bpp)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1) with 3,5-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazole (Hbpp), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, thermal analysis, conductance, UV-vis and IR spectra. The crystal structure of 1, determined by X-ray diffraction technique, reveals that two centrosymmetric CuII centers are bridged by a pair of tetradentate anionic bpp ligands, adopting a square-pyramidal environment with the water ligand occupying the axial site. An interesting feature of this structure is the formation of a two-dimensional supramolecular network through O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the water moieties of the cationic [Cu2(bpp)2(H2O)2]2+ subunits and perchlorate anions. The magnetic properties of 1 have been investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and EPR measurements. Very strong antiferromagnetic interaction between the CuII centers (with H=−JS1S2, J=−368.3 cm−1) has been observed, and the magneto-structural correlations was analyzed.  相似文献

lp;&-5q;1 The reactions of [Tl2[S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]]n with [MCl2L2] (1:1) or with [MCl2(NCPh)2] and PPh3 (1:1:2) give complexes [M[eta2-S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]L2] [M = Pt, L2 = 1,5-cyclooctadiene (cod) (1); L2 = bpy, M = Pd (2a), Pt (2b), L = PPh3, M = Pd (3a), Pt (3b)] whereas with MCl2 and QCl (2:1:2) anionic derivatives Q2[M[eta2-S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]2] [M = Pd, Q = NMe4 (4a), Ph3P=N=PPh3 (PPN) (4a'), M = Pt, Q = NMe4 (4b)] are produced. Complexes 1 and 3 react with AgClO4 (1:1) to give tetranuclear complexes [[ML2]2Ag2[mu2,eta2-(S,S')-[S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]2]](ClO4)2 [L = PPh3, M = Pd (5a), Pt (5b), L2 = cod, M = Pt (5b')], while the reactions of 3 with AgClO4 and PPh3 (1:1:2) give dinuclear [[M(PPh3)2][Ag(PPh3)2][mu2,eta2-(S,S')-S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]]]ClO4 [M = Pd (6a), Pt (6b)]. The crystal structures of 3a, 3b, 4a, and two crystal forms of 5b have been determined. The two crystal forms of 5b display two [Pt(PPh3)2][mu2,eta2-(S,S')-[S2C=C[C(O)Me]2]2] moieties bridging two Ag(I) centers.  相似文献

Synthesis and characterization of the dinuclear ruthenium coordination complexes with heteroleptic ligand sets, [Cl(terpy)Ru(tpphz)Ru(terpy)Cl](PF6)2(7) and [(phen)2Ru(tpphz)Ru(terpy)Cl](PF6)3(8), are reported. Both structures contain a tetrapyrido[3,2-α:2′,3′-c:3′′,2′′-h:2′′,3′′-j]phenazine (tpphz) (6) ligand bridging the two metal centers. Complex 7 was obtained via ligand exchange between, RuCl2(terpy)DMSO (5) and a tpphz bridge. Complex 8 was obtained via ligand exchange between, [Ru(phen)2tpphz](PF6)2(4) and RuCl2(terpy)DMSO (5). Metal-to-ligand-charge-transfer (MLCT) absorptions are sensitive to ligand set composition and are significantly red-shifted due to more electron donating ligands. Complexes 79 have been characterized by analytical, spectroscopic (IR, NMR, and UV–Vis), and mass spectrometric techniques. The electronic spectral properties of 7, 8, and [(phen)2Ru(tpphz)Ru(phen)2](PF6)4(9), a previously reported +4 analog, are presented together. The different terminal ligands of 7, 8, and 9 shift the energy of the MLCT and the π–π* transition of the bridging ligand. These shifts in the spectra are discussed in the context of density functional theory (DFT). A model is proposed suggesting that low-lying orbitals of the bridging ligand accept electron density from the metal center which can facilitate electron transfer to nanoparticles like single walled carbon nanotubes and colloidal gold.  相似文献

Mixed-ligand complexes [MX2(MBPY)] (M = PdII or PtII; X = Cl, I, N 3 or NO2 ; MBPY = 4,4-dimethyl-2,2-bipyridine) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, i.r., electronic absorption and 1H-n.m.r. spectroscopic techniques. The cyclic voltammograms of these complexes suggest the involvement of the metal d orbital in the one-electron oxidation process and the * orbital of the MBPY in the one-electron reduction process. [Pt(MBPY)(N3)2] shows solution-state luminescence at room temperature.  相似文献

Eight mononuclear complexes of the formula [M(N-N)(DHB)] and two binuclear complexes of the formula [M2(BPY)2(THB)] where M = Pd(II) or Pt(II), N-N = 2,2′-bipyridine (BPY), 2,2′-biquinoline (BIQ), 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (DPP), 1,10-phenanthroline (PHEN); DHB = dianion of 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde and THB = tetraanion of 3,3′,4,4′-tetrahydroxy benzaldazine were prepared and their electrochemical, spectral and photophysical properties were examined. These complexes were characterized by chemical analysis, IR and proton NMR spectroscopy. A detailed study on the absorption spectroscopy of these complexes was made. These complexes were found to show a low-energy solvatochromic ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer (LLCT) band. The electronic energies of these bands have been analyzed and compared with electrochemical data. Emission behaviour of the complexes of the series, [Pt(N-N)(DHB)], [Pt(N-N)(DHBA)] where DHBA is the dianion of 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and [Pt2(BPY)2(THB)] was also investigated. These platinum complexes were found to emit from a low-energy state at low temperature and a high-energy state at room temperature. Photophysics of these complexes is also discussed.  相似文献

Bulky salen CuL(x) derived from aliphatic polymethylene diamines, H(2)N-(CH(2))(x)-NH(2), where n = 2-6, and 3,5-di-t-butylsalicylaldehyde (H(2)L(x)) and some corresponding tetrahydrosalan complexes (CuL(x)') have been synthesized and characterized by their IR, UV-vis absorption and EPR spectra, by magnetic moments and by cyclic voltammetry in acetonitrile (for H(2)L(x)) and DMF (for CuL(x)). Complexes CuL(x) and CuL(x)' are magnetically normal (mu(exp) = 1.83-1.91 mu(B)). EPR spectra CuL(x) characterized by the axial g and A(Cu) tensors with g parallel > g perpendicular and without (14)N-shf resolution in CHCl(3)/toluene at 300 and 150K. The CV studies on acetonitrile solutions of H(2)L(x) revealed a well-defined quasi-reversible redox wave at E(1/2) = 0.95-1.15 V versus Ag/AgCl but CV of the CuL(x) complexes in DMF exhibit weak pronounced irreversible oxidation waves at E(pa)(1) = 0.51 - 098 V and E(pa)(2) = 1.16 - 1.33 V attributable to metal centered Cu(II/III) and ligand centered CuL(x)/CuL(x)*+ couples, respectively. A poorly defined wave was observed for the quasi-reversible reduction Cu(II)/Cu(I) at potentials less than -1.0 V.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the title trisphenolate ligand are described. From its reaction with manganese(III) three complexes were isolated. The crystal structures revealed one pentacoordinate monomer and two similar dimers with different solvents of crystallization. In the dimers the metal ions are hexacoordinate and connected through bridging of two phenolates. A combination of electrochemistry and EPR spectroscopy showed that, in acetonitrile, the isolated batches were all identical and mainly monomeric, indicating that the mononuclear complex is in equilibrium with the dimer and perhaps also with complexes of higher nuclearity, as suggested by the detection of both the trimer and the tetramer by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). The successful use of the monomer batch as an epoxidation catalyst indicated that a high-valent manganese-oxo species can be formed, although it is probably short-lived. This is also suggested by EPR studies of the species formed by electrochemical oxidation of the complex. Upon one-electron oxidation, a manganese(IV) species was formed, which was at least partly converted to another species containing a phenoxy radical.  相似文献

The [CoL(PR3)(CH3OH)]ClO4 (where L = MeSalophen, 5-NO2MeSalophen, 5-BrMeSalophen, 5-MeOMeSalophen, 4-MeOMeSalophen, 3-MeOMeSalophen and R=Ph or Bu) complexes were synthesized and also characterized by FTIR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies. The absorptions between 550 and 750 nm for the complexes are attributed to dd transitions. Electrochemical properties of the complexes were examined by means of cyclic voltammetry. The anodic peak potentials were more positive in the following trend NO2 > Br > H > MeO and are in accordance with electronic effects of the substituents. The crystal structure of [Co(5-NO2MeSalophen)(PBu3)(CH3OH)]ClO4 and [Co(5-BrMeSalophen)(PPh3)(CH3OH)]ClO4 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. They showed six-coordinated pseudo-octahedral geometries in which equatorial planes are formed by the O(1), O(2), N(1) and N(2) atoms of the Schiff base and the axial positions were occupied by PR3 and methanol.  相似文献

The reaction of CuX (X = Cl, Br, I) with a mixture of PPh3 and 1-alkyl-2-(naphthyl-α/β-azo)imidazole has synthesized mixed ligand complexes of the composition, [Cu(α/β-NaiR)(PPh3)X]. The spectroscopic characterization (IR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR) supports this formulation. The single crystal X-ray diffraction study of [Cu((α-NaiMe)(PPh3)I] (7a) (α-NaiMe = 1-methyl-2-(naphthyl-α-azo)imidazole) shows a distorted tetrahedral geometry about Cu(I). Cyclic voltammograms of the complexes show a high potential Cu(II)/Cu(I) couple and azo reductions. The [Cu(α/β-NaiR)(PPh3)I] complexes show an additional oxidative response at 0.4 V that is assigned to I/I A sharp anodic peak at ∼−0.2 V is assigned to the oxidation of metallic Cu, deposited on electrode surface upon scanning to the negative side of the SCE. DFT and TD-DFT computations of [Cu((α-NaiMe)(PPh3)I] (7a), [Cu((α-NaiMe)(PPh3)I]+ (7a+) and [Cu((α-NaiMe)(PPh3)I] (7a) were carried out to examine the electronic configuration and to explain the spectral and redox properties of the complexes.  相似文献

The pendant thiol interaction modes of 1a, 3a, and 3b in the solid state are controlled by the solvent pairs of crystallization. Oxygen oxidation of dinuclear [Ni(II)(P(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-S)(2)(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-SH))](2) (4) yielded thermally stable dinuclear [Ni(III)(P(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-S)(2)(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-mu-S))](2) (5). The two paramagnetic d(7) Ni(III) cores (S = 1/2) with antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -3.13 cm(-1)) rationalize the diamagnetic property of 5. The fully delocalized mixed-valence [Ni(II)-Ni(III)] complexes [Ni2(P(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-S)(3))(2)]- (6) and [Ni(2)(P(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-S)(3))(P(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-S)(2)(o-C(6)H(3)-3-SiMe(3)-2-SCH(3)))] (7) were isolated upon the reduction of 5 and the methylation of 6, respectively. The electronic perturbation from the sulfur methylation of 6 triggers the stronger Ni...Ni interaction and the geometrical rearrangement from the diamond shape of the [NiS(2)Ni] core to the butterfly structure of [Ni(mu-S)(2)Ni] to yield 7 with Ni...Ni distances of 2.6088(1) A. The distinctly different Ni...Ni distances (2.6026(7) for 5 and 2.8289(15) A for 6) and the coordination number of the nickels indicate a balance of geometrical requirements for different oxidation levels of [PS(3)Ni-NiPS(3)] cores of 5 and 6.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and full characterization for a series of cyclometallated complexes of Pt(II) and Pd(II) incorporating the fluxional trithiacrown ligand 1,4,7-trithiacyclononane ([9]aneS3). Reaction of [M(C insertion mark N)(micro-Cl)]2 (M = Pt(II), Pd(II); C insertion mark N = 2-phenylpyridinate (ppy) or 7,8-benzoquinolinate (bzq)) with [9]aneS3 followed by metathesis with NH4PF6 yields [M(C insertion mark N)([9]aneS3)](PF6). The complexes [M(C insertion mark P)([9]aneS3)](PF6) (M = Pt(II), Pd(II); Cinsertion markP = [CH2C6H4P(o-tolyl)2-C,P]-) were synthesized from their respective [Pt(C insertion mark P)(micro-Cl)]2 or [Pd(C insertion mark P)(micro-O2CCH3)]2 (C insertion mark P) starting materials. All five new complexes have been fully characterized by multinuclear NMR, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies in addition to elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal structural determinations. As expected, the coordinated [9]aneS3 ligand shows fluxional behavior in its NMR spectra, resulting in a single 13C NMR resonance despite the asymmetric coordination environment of the cyclometallating ligand. Electrochemical studies reveal irreversible one-electron metal-centered oxidations for all Pt(II) complexes, but unusual two-electron reversible oxidations for the Pd(II) complexes of ppy and bzq. The X-ray crystal structures of each complex indicate an axial M-S interaction formed by the endodentate conformation of the [9]aneS3 ligand. The structure of [Pd(bzq)([9]aneS3)](PF6) exhibits disorder in the [9]aneS3 conformation indicating a rare exodentate conformation as the major contributor in the solid-state structure. DFT calculations on [Pt([9]aneS3)(ppy)](PF6) and [Pd([9]aneS3)(ppy)](PF6) indicate the HOMO for both complexes is primarily dz2 in character with a significant contribution from the phenyl ring of the ppy ligand and p orbital of the axial sulfur donor. In contrast, the calculated LUMO is primarily ppy pi* in character for [Pt([9]aneS3)(ppy)](PF6), but dx2-y2 in character for [Pd([9]aneS3)(ppy)](PF6).  相似文献
