Based on Weinberg - Salam weak interaction theory, we have determined the addition to the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron arising from interaction between the electron and quantum fluctuations of the vector field (the carrier of the weak interaction). We also estimate the contribution of the strong interaction to the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron due to polarization of the quark — gluon vacuum. The overall contribution of the weak and strong interactions to the anomalous magnetic moment proves to be equal to 1·10–12, and the contribution of the weak interaction is 2.2 times greater than the contribution of the strong interaction.Kamskii Polytechnical Institute. In this paper we consider the processes with real and virtual Higgs scalar H-boson in the presence of an external constant electromagnetic field. We get formulae for the probability of the H-boson emission by a charged lepton and the field radiative H-boson effects (i.e. the contribution to the mass and the anomalous magnetic moment of the lepton.  相似文献

We investigate the Kalb-Ramond antisymmetric tensor field as a solution to the muon g – 2 problem. In particular we calculate the lowest-order Kalb-Ramond contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment and find that we can fit the new experimental value for the anomaly by adjusting the coupling without affecting the electron anomalous magnetic moment results.  相似文献

The contribution of a massivet-quark to the anomalous magnetic moment (Δκ) and the quadrupole moment (ΔQ) of theW-boson is calculated. An upper bound of Δκ=1.5×10?2 and ΔQ=2.5×10?3 for the standard model is obtained. Additional contributions from extraE 6 fermions is also discussed.  相似文献

Magnetically confined argon plasma produced by hollow cathode arc discharge has been studied in different experimental conditions, with discharge current from 10–50 A, vessel argon pressure between 10–3 and 10–4 torr (1 torr=133·32 Pa) and axial magnetic field up to 0·12 T. The plasma density measured by a cylindrical Langmuir probe is found to be 1019 to 4 × 1019 m–3 and the electron temperatureT e varies between 2·5 and 4·8 eV. When an external axial magnetic field is applied the plasma temperature decreases with the increase in the magnetic field intensity until it reaches a minimum value at 0·075T and then increases with the same rate. This has been interpreted as high frequency waves excitation due to electron beam-plasma interaction, which explains the electron density jumps with the magnetic field intensity. Enhanced plasma transport across the magnetic field is studied and classified as anomalous diffusion.  相似文献

The single-loop corrections to the Lagrangian of a uniform, constant electromagnetic field are found which include the anomalous magnetic moment and electric dipole moment of the electron. The imaginary part of the effective Lagrangian, which determines the probability of electron-positron pair production is found. The probability of Z 0-boson decay to a pair of charged fermions in a strong electromagnetic field, Z 0\(\bar f\) f, is calculated. On the basis of a method that employs exact solutions to relativistic wave equations for charged particles, an analytic expression for the partial decay width Γ(?) = Γ(Z 0\(\bar f\) f) is obtained at an arbitrary value of the parameter ? = \(eM_Z^{ - 3} \sqrt { - (F_{\mu \nu } q^\nu )^2 } \), which characterizes the external-field strength. The total Z 0-boson decay width in an intense electromagnetic field, Γ Z (?), is calculated by summing these results over all known generations of charged leptons and quarks. It is found that, in the region of relatively weak fields (? < 0.06), the field-induced corrections to the standard Z 0-boson decay width in a vacuum do not exceed 2%. As ? increases, the total decay width Γ Z (?) develops oscillations against the background of its gradual decrease to the absolute-minimum point. At ?min = 0.445, the total Z 0-boson decay width reaches the minimum value of Γ Z (?min) = 2.164 GeV, which is smaller than the Z 0-boson decay width in a vacuum by more than 10%. In the region of superstrong fields (? > 1), Γ Z (?) grows monotonically with increasing external-field strength. In the region ? > 5, the t-quark-production process Z 0\(\bar t\) t, which is forbidden in the absence of an external field, begins contributing significantly to the total decay width of the Z 0 boson.  相似文献

The cross section fore + e HZ with arbitrary lepton andZ-boson polarizations is calculated within the electroweak standard model including the completeO() virtual and soft photonic corrections. These were obtained using the computer-algebra packagesFeynArts andFeynCalc. We list the relevant analytical results and discuss the influence of the weak radiative corrections on the unpolarized as well as the polarized cross sections. For LEP200 energies the weak radiative corrections amount to several per cent. For higher energies the corrections are usually of the same order for the total unpolarized cross section. However, for large values of the Higgs mass or for the suppressed cross section of transversely polarizedZ-bosons they reach +30% and –40%, respectively. The differential cross section in the forward and backward directions gets even larger corrections for high energies, where the box diagrams constitute the dominant part of the radiative corrections.  相似文献

We have performed a holographic calculation of the hadronic contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, using the gauge/gravity duality. As a gravity dual model of QCD with three light flavors, we study a U(3)L×U(3)R flavor gauge theory in the five-dimensional AdS background with a hard-wall cutoff. The anomalous (electromagnetic) form factors for the pseudo scalars, π0, η and η, are obtained from the 5D Chern–Simons term of the gravity dual, which correctly reproduce the asymptotic behavior of the form factor, dictated by QCD. We find the total light-by-light contributions of pseudo scalars to the muon anomalous magnetic moment, , which is consistent with previous estimates, based on other approaches.  相似文献

This paper presents a mechanism of decay of elementary particles, which has been developed based on a new approach. The results obtained may be of interest to experimenters engaged in the decay of Z 0 bosons. Schemes and modes of the structural decay of gamma structures, one of which is the Z 0 boson, are given. Analysis of the schemes and modes of the structural decay has shown that the decays of the product triple-quark particles (products of the decay of a Z 0 boson into triple-quark particles) result in the occurrence of a new mode of decay – the decay of one triple-quark particle into three triple-quark particles. According to the proposed mechanism of the decay of particles, an electron, a muon, a triton, and a gamma photon are particles consisting of a quark–antiquark pair and having a spin equal to unity.  相似文献

We study quantitatively the reactions \(e^ + e^ - \to W^ + e\bar \nu _e \) ,e R ? e + and the rare decay \(Z^0 \to W^ \pm l^ \mp \mathop {\nu _e }\limits^{( - )} \) forl=e, μ and τ, as a test for anomalous γW + W ? andZ 0 W + W ? structure. If κ denotes the anomalous magnetic moment of theW-boson and ω its anomalous coupling to theZ 0, values of |ω|>2.5 and |κ|>1.5 can be ruled out at LEP and SLC rather easily. The ESR spectra ofZ 2(Eu)-centers in KBr and KCl are presented and correlated to the optical absorption and the electron spin resonance of the Europium vacancy complex. The fine structure of theZ 2 spectra can be described by a Spin-Hamiltonian with an axialb 2 0 -parameter only. At room temperature it amounts to 1,761 10–4 cm–1 for KBr, 1,854 10–4 cm–1 for KCl and 1,453 10–4 cm–1 for RbCl. Accordingly theZ 2(Eu)-center must posses a strict axial 100-symmetry in these crystals.  相似文献

The contribution of the fifth-order diagrams to the vertex function of an electron in a strong magnetic field B B0 = m2/e = 4.41·1013 G is calculated. It is shown that the diagram with electron loop is dominant; this leads to a linear dependence of the form factor f(5)(t) on the field. Gain coefficients have been calculated for transitions of singlet levels ns–np of orbital n=4 and n=5 in magnesium-like ions with atomic numbers Z=18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Population inversions for 4p and 5p levels in these ions were also calculated, via electron collisional excitation, for electron temperature range of 93–231 eV and electron density range of 1016–1017 cm−3. Under these plasma conditions, the maximum gain that occurred for 4s4p transition was at electron temperature of 231 eV and electron density of 4×1017 cm−3. Scaling of the maximum gain coefficients with atomic number Z and the plasma parameters is also presented.  相似文献

The effect of the magnetic field on the properties of a massive neutrino is analyzed. A general expression is derived in terms of the self-energy operator of the neutrino in an external magnetic field of arbitrary strength. This expression is valid for any relationship between the masses of the neutrino, a charged lepton, and a W-boson. An anomalous magnetic moment of a standard neutrino is investigated. The probability of massive neutrino decay into a W-boson and a charged lepton is calculated for various values of the magnetic field strength.  相似文献
