Various characterizations are given of the exponential Orlicz space L and the Orlicz‐Lorentz space L. By way of application we give a simple proof of the celebrated theorem of Brézis and Wainger concerning a limiting case of a Sobolev imbedding theorem.  相似文献

A k‐star is the graph K1,k. We prove a general theorem about k‐star factorizations of Cayley graphs. This is used to give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of k‐star factorizations of any power (Kq)s of a complete graph with prime power order q, products C × C ×··· × C of k cycles of arbitrary lengths, and any power (Cr)s of a cycle of arbitrary length. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. We consider a steady-state heat conduction problem Pα withmixed boundary conditions for the Poisson equation in a bounded multidimensional domain Ω depending of a positive parameter α which represents the heat transfer coefficient on a portion Γ1 of the boundary of Ω. We consider, for each α > 0, a cost function Jα and we formulate boundary optimal control problems with restrictions over the heat flux q on a complementary portion Γ2 of the boundary of Ω. We obtain that the optimality conditions are given by a complementary free boundary problem in Γ2 in terms of the adjoint state. We prove that the optimal control q and its corresponding system state u and adjoint state p for each α are strongly convergent to qop, u and p in L22), H1(Ω), and H1(Ω) respectively when α → ∞. We also prove that these limit functions are respectively the optimal control, the system state and the adjoint state corresponding to another boundary optimal control problem with restrictions for the same Poisson equation with a different boundary condition on the portion Γ1. We use the elliptic variational inequality theory in order to prove all the strong convergences. In this paper, we generalize the convergence result obtained in Ben Belgacem-El Fekih-Metoui, ESAIM:M2AN, 37 (2003), 833-850 by considering boundary optimal control problems with restrictions on the heat flux q defined on Γ2 and the parameter α (which goes to infinity) is defined on Γ1. We investigate the evolution problem where H is a Hilbert space, A is a self‐adjoint linear non‐negative operator on H with domain D(A), and is a continuous function. We prove that if , and , then there exists at least one global solution, which is unique if either m never vanishes, or m is locally Lipschitz continuous. Moreover, we prove that if for all , then this problem is well posed in H. On the contrary, if for some it happens that for all , then this problem has no solution if with β small enough. In this paper we provide a new arithmetic characterization of the levels of the og‐time hierarchy (LH). We define arithmetic classes and that correspond to ‐LOGTIME and ‐LOGTIME, respectively. We break and into natural hierarchies of subclasses and . We then define bounded arithmetic deduction systems ′ whose ‐definable functions are precisely B( ‐LOGTIME). We show these theories are quite strong in that (1) LIOpen proves for any fixed m that , (2) TAC, a theory that is slightly stronger than ′ whose (LH)‐definable functions are LH, proves LH is not equal to ‐TIME(s) for any m> 0, where 2sL, s(n) ∈ ω(log n), and (3) TAC proves LH ≠ for all k and m. We then show that the theory TAC cannot prove the collapse of the polynomial hierarchy. Thus any such proof, if it exists, must be argued in a stronger systems than ours.  相似文献

This paper is a continuation of [8]. We study weighted function spaces of type B and F on the Euclidean space Rn, where u is a weight function of at most exponential growth. In particular, u(χ (±|χ|) is an admissible weight. We deal with atomic decompositions of these spaces. Furthermore, we prove that the spaces B and F are isomorphic to the corresponding unweighted spaces B and F.  相似文献

In this paper we extend the result obtained in [AKR98] (see also [AKR96a]) on the representation of the intrinsic pre–Dirichlet form ℰΓ of the Poisson measure πσ in terms of the extrinsic one ℰP. More precisely, replacing πσ by a Gibbs measure μ on the configuration space ΓX we derive a relation between the intrinsic prend–Dirichlet form ℰΓμ of the measure μ and the extrinsic one ℰP. As a consequence we prove the closability of ℰΓμ on L2X, μ) under very general assumptions on the interaction potential of the Gibbs measures μ.  相似文献

The d-dimensional Hardy spaces Hp ( T × … × T ) (d = d1 + … + dkand a general summability method of Fourier series and Fourier transforms are introduced with the help of integrable functions θj having integrable Fourier transforms. Under some conditions on θj we show that the maximal operator of the θ-means of a distribution is bounded from Hp ( T × … × T ) to Lp ( T d) where p0 < p < ∞ and p0 < 1 is depending only on the functions θj. By an interpolation theorem we get that the maximal operator is also of weak type ( L1) (i = 1, …, k) where the Hardy space is defined by a hybrid maximal function and if k = 1. As a consequence we obtain that the θ-means of a function (log L)k–1 converge a.e. to the function in question. If k = 1 then we get this convergence result for all fL1. Moreover, we prove that the θ-means are uniformly bounded on the spaces Hp ( T × … × T ) whenever p0 <p < ∞, thus the θ-means converge to f in ( T × … × T ) norm. The same results are proved for the conjugate θ-means and for d-dimensional Fourier transforms, too. Some special cases of the θ-summation are considered, such as the Weierstrass, Picar, Bessel, Fejér, Riemann, de La Vallée-Poussin, Rogosinski and Riesz summations.  相似文献

We derive a one to one correspondence between conformal solitons of the mean curvature flow in an ambient space N and minimal submanifolds in a different ambient space where equals ℝ × N equipped with a warped product metric and show that a submanifold inN converges to a conformal soliton under the mean curvature flow in N if and only if its associatedsubmanifold in converges to a minimal submanifold under a rescaled mean curvature flow in . We then define a notion of stability for conformal solitons and obtain Lp estimates as well as pointwise estimates for the curvature of stable solitons.  相似文献

A graph G is (k1, k2, …, kt)-saturated if there exists a coloring C of the edges of G in t colors 1, 2, …, t in such a way that there is no monochromatic complete ki-subgraph K of color i, 1 ? i ? t, but the addition of any new edge of color i, joining two nonadjacent vertices in G, with C, creates a monochromatic K of color i, 1 ? i ? t.
