A novel series of bis(carbamoylthiophenolato)mercury(II) complexes, [Hg(S-RNHCOC6H4)2] (1, R = 2-t-Bu; 2, R = 2-CH3; 3, R = 2-C6H5CH2; 4, R = 4-t-Bu), and a tetrakis(carbamoylthiophenolato)mercury(II) complex, (NEt4)2[Hg-(S-2-CH3NHCOC6H4)4] (5), were synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, IR, 199Hg NMR, and crystallographic analyses. The bis(carbamoylthiophenolato)mercury complexes 1-3 do not have intramolecular NH...S hydrogen bonds between the amide NH group and the sulfur atom coordinated to mercury, whereas the tetrakis(thiophenolato)mercury complex 5 does have an intramolecular NH...S hydrogen bond. A relatively weak NH...S hydrogen bond in 5 can be seen in the 1H NMR spectra and the IR spectra in chloroform and in the solid state. The 199Hg NMR spectra in bis(carbamoylthiophenolato)mercury complexes 1-4 show a downfield shift, with an increase in the flow of electrons to mercury(II) from the oxygen atom due to the intramolecular Hg...O bonding interaction. Conversely, the 199Hg NMR spectra in 5 show a high-field shift with a decrease in the flow of electrons to mercury(II) from the sulfur atom due to the intramolecular NH...S hydrogen bond.  相似文献

Complexes of Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) and U(VI)O2 with 2-acetylpyridine-[N-(3-hydroxy-2-naphthoyl)] hydrazone (H2APHNH) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, thermal (TG, DTG), spectral (1H NMR, IR, UV–Vis, ESR) and magnetic measurements. 1H NMR spectrum of the ligand suggests the presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonding. IR spectra show that H2APHNH is a bidentate, tridentate and/or tetradentate ligand. Thermal decomposition of some complexes ended with metal oxide as a final product. ESR spectra gave evidence for the proposed structure and the bonding for some Cu(II) complexes. Biological activity measurements were carried out.  相似文献

The salts of Zn(II), Cd(ii) and Hg(II) react instantaneously with Kpmf (pmf(-) = anion of N,N'-bis(pyrimidine-2-yl)formamidine, Hpmf) in THF, producing bimetallic complexes of the types [M(2)(pmf)(3)](X) (M = Zn(II), X = I(3)(-), ; M = Zn(II), X = NO(3)(-), ; M = Zn(II), X = ClO(4)(-), ; M = Cd(II), X = NO(3)(-), ; M = Cd(II), X = ClO(4)(-), ) and Hg(2)(pmf)(2)X(2) (X = Cl, ; Br, ; I, ). New tridentate and tetradentate coordination modes were observed for the pmf(-) ligands and their fluxional behaviors investigated by measuring variable-temperature (1)H NMR spectra. Complexes and , which possess only tetradentate coordination modes for the pmf(-) ligands in the solid state show larger free energy of activation (DeltaG(c)( not equal)) for the exchange than complexes and with tetradentate and/or tridentate coordination modes. Complexes and are the first dinuclear Zn(II) and Hg(II) complexes containing formamidinate ligands. Moreover, the separation between the two Hg(II) atoms are 3.4689(9), 3.4933(13) and 3.5320(10) A for complexes , respectively, similar to the sum of van der Waals radii of two Hg(II) atoms which is 3.50(7) A. All the complexes exhibit emissions and the nature of the anions hardly change the emission wavelengths of the complexes with the same metal centers. The emission bands may be tentatively assigned as intraligand (IL) pi-->pi* transitions.  相似文献

The tripodal ligand N[CH2CH2NHC(O)NHC(CH3)3]3 ([H61]) was used to synthesize a series of monomeric complexes with terminal hydroxo ligands. The complexes [Co(II/III)H31(OH)](2-/1-), [Fe(II/III)H31(OH)](2-/1-), and [Zn(II)H31(OH)](2-) have been isolated and characterized. The source of the hydroxo ligand in these complexes is water, which was confirmed with an isotopic labeling study for [Co(III)H31(OH)](1-). The synthesis of [M(II)H31(OH)](2-) complexes was accomplished by two routes. Method A used 3 equiv of base prior to metalation and water binding, affording yields of < or = 40% for [Co(II)H31(OH)](2-). When 4 equiv of base was used (method B), yields ranged from 50% to 70% for all of the M(II)H31(OH)](2-) complexes. This improvement is attributed to the presence of an intramolecular basic site within the cavity, which scavenges protons produced during formation of the M(II)-OH complexes. The molecular structures of [Zn(II)H31(OH)](2-), [Fe(II)H31(OH)](2-), [Co(II)H31(OH)](2-), and [Co(III)H31(OH)](1-) were examined by X-ray diffraction methods. The complexes have trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry with the hydroxo oxygen trans to the apical nitrogen. The three M(II)-OH complexes crystallized with nearly identical lattice parameters, and each contains two independent anions in the asymmetric unit. The complexes have intramolecular H-bonds from the urea cavity of [H31](3-) to the coordinated hydroxo oxygen. All the complexes have long M-O(H) bond lengths (>2.00 A) compared to those of the few previously characterized synthetic examples. The longer bond distances in [M(II)H31(OH)](2-) reflect the intramolecular H-bonds in the complexes. The five-coordinate [Zn(II)H31(OH)](2-) has an average Zn-O(H) distance of 2.024(2) A, which is similar to that found for the zinc site in carbonic anhydrase II (2.05(2) A). The enzyme active site also has an extensive network of intramolecular H-bonds to the hydroxo oxygen. [Co(II)H31(OH)](2-) and [Fe(II)H31(OH)](2-) have one-electron redox processes at -0.74 and -1.40 V vs SCE. Both complexes can be chemically oxidized to yield their corresponding M(III)-OH complexes. [Co(III)H31(OH)](1-), with an S = 1 ground state, is a rare example of a paramagnetic Co(III) complex.  相似文献

Condensation of bis(2-furanthiocarboxyhydradatometal(II), M(fth)2; [M (II) = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn] with pyridine-2- and -4-carboxaldehydes gave complexes of the formula M(pfth)2 [pfth? = pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde-2-furanthiocarboxyhydrazonato], Ni(Ifth)2, Zn(Ifth)2, Cu(Ifth) and Co(Ifth)3, (Ifth? = pyridine-4-carboxaldehyde-2-furanthiocarboxyhydrazonato). The magnetic and electronic spectral studies coupled with photoacoustic or Mössbauer spectra suggested octahedral geometry for the M(II) complexes with low-spin states for Co(Ifth)3 and Fe(pfth)2. IR and 1H NMR spectral studies of diamagnetic complexes suggested bonding through “azomethine” nitrogen and “thiolo” sulphur. IR spectra also showed the involvement of pyridine ring nitrogen in coordination in all the complexes except Cu(Itfh), Co(Ifth)3, and Zn(Ifth)2. Some of the compounds possessed antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), and Cu(II) complexes with novel heterocyclic ligands derived from anthranilic acid and its 5-bromo derivative with ethyl-2-thionylpyruvate were synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, molar conductivity, spectral methods (IR, 1H NMR, and UV-Vis spectra) and simultaneous thermal analysis (TG and DTG) techniques. The IR spectra of the two ligands and their complexes were used to identify the type of bonding. The kinetic thermodynamic parameters such as: E*, ΔH*, ΔS*, and ΔG* were estimated from the DTG curves. New ligands and their complexes have been tested for their possible antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

Template condensation of 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde S-methylisothiosemicarbazone with pentane-2,4-dione and triethyl orthoformate at elevated temperatures resulted in metal complexes of the type M(II)L, where M = Ni and Cu and H(2)L = a novel tetradentate ligand. These complexes are relevant to the active site of the copper enzymes galactose oxidase and glyoxal oxidase. Demetalation of Ni(II)L with gaseous hydrogen chloride in chloroform afforded the metal-free ligand H(2)L. Then by the reaction of H(2)L with Zn(CH(3)COO)(2)·2H(2)O in a 1:1 molar ratio in 1:2 chloroform/methanol, the complex Zn(II)L(CH(3)OH) was prepared. The three metal complexes and the prepared ligand were characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV-vis, and NMR spectroscopy), X-ray crystallography, and DFT calculations. Electrochemically generated one-electron oxidized metal complexes [NiL](+), [CuL](+), and [ZnL(CH(3)OH)](+) and the metal-free ligand cation radical [H(2)L](+?) were studied by EPR/UV-vis-NIR and DFT calculations. These studies demonstrated the interaction between the metal ion and the phenoxyl radical.  相似文献

A series of new mixed ligand complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) with cis-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienthiosemicarbazone (CDOTSC; LH) and N-phthaloyl amino acids (AH) have been synthesized by the reaction of metal dichloride with ligands CDOTSC and N-phthaloyl derivative of DL-glycine (A1H), L-alanine (A2H), or L-valine (A3H) in a 1:1:1 molar ratio in dry refluxing ethanol. All the isolated complexes have the general composition [M(L)(A)]. The plausible structure of these newly synthesized complexes has been proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weight measurement, and various spectral (IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR) studies, and four coordinated geometries have been assigned to these complexes. All the complexes and ligands have been screened for their antibacterial activity.  相似文献

A new series of Fe (III), Co (II), Zn (II), Y (III), Zr (IV) and La (III) complexes derived from the novel ligand 4-(4-Isopropyl phenyl)-2-oxo-6-phenyl 1,2-dihyropyridine-3-carbonitrile (L) were synthesized and characterized. The mode of bonding of L and geometrical structures of their metal complexes were elucidated by different micro analytical and spectral methods (FT-IR,UV–visible,1H NMR and Mass spectra) as well as thermal analysis (TG and DTG), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results of analytical and spectroscopic equipments revealed that L acts as bidentate through nitrogen of carbonitrile group and oxygen of keto group. The conductivity measurement results deduced that these chelates are electrolyte with 1:2 for Co (II), Zn (II), and Zr (IV) and 1:3 for Fe (III), Y (III), and La (III). The results of magnetic moment measurements supported paramagnetic for some complexes (Fe (III), Co (II) and Cu (II)) and diamagnetic phenomena for the other complexes (Y (III), Zr (IV) and La (III)). Thermodynamic parameters such as energy of activation E*, entropy ΔS*, enthalpy ΔH* and Gibss free energy ΔG* were calculated using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzeger methods at n = 1 or n#1. Some results of bioactivity tests for ligands and their metal complexes were recorded against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and antifungal. The complexes showed significant more than free ligand.  相似文献

Tripodal ligands N(CH2Py)3-n(CH2Py-6-NHR)n(R=H, n=1-3 L1-3, n=0 tpa; R=CH2tBu, n=1-3 L'1-3) are used to investigate the effect of different hydrogen bonding microenvironments on structural features of their LZnX complexes (X=Cl-, NO3-, OH-). The X-ray structures of [(L2)Zn(Cl)](BPh4)2.0.5(H2O.CH3CN), [(L3)Zn(Cl)](BPh4)3.CH3CN, [(L'1)Zn(Cl)](BPh4) 1', [(L'2)Zn(Cl)](BPh4)2'.CH3OH, and [(L'3)Zn(Cl)](BPh4)3' have been determined and exhibit trigonal bipyramidal geometries with intramolecular (internal) N-HCl-Zn hydrogen bonds. The structure of [(L'2)Zn(ONO2)]NO3 4'.H2O with two internal N-HO-Zn hydrogen bonds has also been determined. The axial Zn-Cl distance lengthens from 2.275 A in [(tpa)Zn(Cl)](BPh4) to 2.280-2.347 A in 1-3, 1'-3'. Notably, the average Zn-N(py) distance is also progressively lengthened from 2.069 A in [(tpa)Zn(Cl)](BPh4) to 2.159 and 2.182 A in the triply hydrogen bonding cavity of 3 and 3', respectively. Lengthening of the Zn-Cl and Zn-N(py) bonds is accompanied by a progressive shortening of the trans Zn-N bond from 2.271 A in [(tpa)Zn(Cl)](BPh4) to 2.115 A in 3 (2.113 A in 3'). As a result of the triply hydrogen bonding microenvironment the Zn-Cl and Zn-N(py) distances of 3 are at the upper end of the range observed for axial Zn-Cl bonds, whereas the axial Zn-N distance is one of shortest among N4 ligands that induce a trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Despite the rigidity of these tripodal ligands, the geometry of the intramolecular RN-HX-Zn hydrogen bonds (X=Cl-, OH-, NO3-) is strongly dependent on the nature of X, however, on average, similar for R=H, CH2tBu.  相似文献

A series of ligands containing linked 1,4,7-triazacyclononane macrocycles are studied for the preparation of dinuclear Zn(II) complexes including 1,3-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)-2-hydroxypropane (L2OH), 1,5-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)pentane (L3), 2,9-bis(1-methyl-1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline (L4), and alpha,alpha'-bis(1,4,7-triazacyclonon-1-yl)-m-xylene (L5). The titration of these ligands with Zn(NO(3))(2) was monitored by (1)H NMR. Each ligand was found to bind two Zn(II) ions with a very high affinity at near neutral pH under conditions of millimolar ligand and 2 equiv of Zn(NO(3))(2). In contrast, a stable mononuclear complex was formed in solutions containing 5.0 mM L2OH and 1 equiv of Zn(NO(3))(2). (1)H and (13)C NMR spectral data are consistent with formation of a highly symmetric mononuclear complex Zn(L2OH) in which a Zn(II) ion is sandwiched between two triazacyclononane units. The second-order rate constant k(Zn) for the cleavage of 2-hydroxypropyl-4-nitrophenyl phosphate (HPNP) at pH 7.6 and 25 degrees C catalyzed by Zn(2)(L2O) is 120-fold larger than that for the reaction catalyzed by the closely related mononuclear complex Zn(L1) (L1 = 1,4,7-triazacyclononane). By comparison, the observation that the values of k(Zn) determined under similar reaction conditions for cleavage of HPNP catalyzed by the other Zn(II) dinuclear complexes are only 3-5-fold larger than values of k(Zn) for catalysis by Zn(L1) provides strong evidence that the two Zn(II) cations in Zn(2)(L2O) act cooperatively in the stabilization of the transition state for cleavage of HPNP. The extent of cleavage of an oligoribonucleotide by Zn(L1), Zn(2)(L5), and Zn(2)(L2O) at pH 7.5 and 37 degrees C after 24 h incubation is 4,10, and 90%. The rationale for the observed differences in catalytic activity of these dinuclear Zn(II) complexes is discussed in terms of the mechanism of RNA cleavage and the structure and speciation of these complexes in solution.  相似文献

The isomorphous polymeric complexes [M(mu-C(6)H(5)NHC(4)O(3))(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)](n) [M = Mn (1), Co (2), Cu (4), Zn (5)] are produced by reacting the anilinosquarate anion with the appropriate metal nitrates in a methanolic solution. Each of these complexes contains the central metal atom in a slightly distorted octahedral environment, with the coordination polyhedron consisting of four mu-1,2-bridging anilinosquarate ligands and two trans-oriented methanols. The polymer chains propagate to form a two-dimensional net of metal centers, with the conformation of the component sheets in the net being controlled by intramolecular N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds. Under reaction conditions similar to those used in the synthesis of the polymers 1, 2, 4, and 5, the nickel(II) monomer [Ni(C(6)H(5)NHC(4)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O (3) is produced in which each nickel center is attached to two cis-coordinated anilinosquarate and four aqua ligands in a distorted octahedral arrangement. The ligand conformation in 3 is stabilized by both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonding, which results in the formation of a sheet polymer having distinct hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces. Magnetochemical analysis of 1 and 4 reveals normal paramagnetic behavior for 1 and a very weak ferromagnetic interaction in 4; the absence of significant magnetic interactions is attributed to the distortion of the C(4) cycle of the anilinosquarate ligand (lower than C(2)(v) symmetry) in these complexes. Reaction of anisolesquarate with M(NO(3))(2).xH(2)O in acetonitrile produced the set of isomorphous salts [M(H(2)O)(6)][CH(3)OC(6)H(5)C(4)O(3)](2) [M = Mn (6), Co (7), Ni (8), Zn (9)]. The anisolesquarate anions in 6-9 are hydrogen bonded to the [M(H(2)O)(6)](2+) ions to form polymer chains, which are further linked by hydrogen bonds to form complex sheets. Complexation of the anisolesquarate ligand was not observed even when other solvents and reaction conditions were employed.  相似文献

The novel transition metal saccharinato complexes of N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylendiamine (HydEt-en) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic moments, UV-Vis and IR spectra. Coordination behaviour of HydEt-en has been studied. The Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) form mononuclear complexes, while the Fe(II) and Co(II) complexes are dimeric. The crystal structures of the [Cu(sac)2(HydEt-en)2] and [Cd(sac)2(HydEt-en)2] complexes, where sac is the deprotonated form of saccharin, were determined by x-ray diffraction. The metal ions are octahedrally coordinated by these ligands. The amine ligand acts as a bidentate N-donor ligand and its ethanol group is not involved in coordination. The sac ions coordinate through the deprotonated N as a monodentate ligand. The NH and OH groups of the amine ligand are involved in intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonding with the carbonyl and sulphonyl oxygens of the sac ions to form a three-dimensional infinite network.  相似文献

Room-temperature ionic liquids form potentially important solvents in novel nuclear waste reprocessing methods, and the solvation, speciation, and complexation behaviors of lanthanides and actinides in these solvents are of great current interest. In the study reported here, the coordination environment of uranyl(VI) in solutions of the room-temperature ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([EMIM][Tf(2)N]) containing perchlorate, tetrabutylammonium nitrate, and water was investigated using Raman, ATR-FTIR, and NMR spectroscopies in order to better understand the role played in uranyl(VI) solution chemistry in room-temperature ionic liquids by water and other small, weakly complexing ligands. The (2)H NMR chemical shift for water in a solution of uranyl perchlorate hexahydrate in [EMIM][Tf(2)N] appears at 6.52 ppm, indicating that water is coordinated to uranyl(VI). A broad ν(OH) stretching mode at 3370 cm(-1) in the ATR-FTIR spectrum shows that this coordinated water is engaged in hydrogen bonding with water molecules in a second coordination sphere. A significant upfield shift in the (2)H NMR signal for water and the appearance of distinct ν(as)(HOH) (at 3630 cm(-1)) and ν(s)(HOH) (at 3560 cm(-1)) vibrational bands in the ATR-FTIR spectra show that coordinated water is displaced by nitrate upon formation of the UO(2)(NO(3))(2) and UO(2)(NO(3))(3)(-) complexes. The Raman spectra indicate that perchlorate complexed to uranyl(VI) is also displaced by nitrate. Our results indicate that perchlorate and water, though weakly complexing ligands, do have a role in uranyl(VI) speciation in room-temperature ionic liquids and that Raman, infrared, and NMR spectroscopies are valuable additions to the suite of tools currently used to study the chemical behavior of uranyl(VI)-ligand complexes in these solvents.  相似文献

Three novel ferrocenyl Schiff base ligands containing pyridine moiety have been formed by 1:2 molar condensation of 1,1′‐diacetylferrocene with 2‐aminopyridine, 2‐amino‐5‐picoline or 2‐amino‐5‐chloropyridine, respectively. The ligands are 1,1′‐bis[1‐(pyridyl‐2‐imino)‐ethyl]ferrocene (L1); 1,1′‐bis[1‐(5‐methyl‐pyridyl‐2‐imino)ethyl]ferrocene (L2) and 1,1′‐bis[1‐(5‐chloropyridyl‐2‐imino)ethyl]ferrocene (L3). These ligands form 1:1 complexes with Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) ions. The prepared ligands and their complexes have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV/Vis spectra as well as elemental analysis. The spectral data of the ligands and their complexes are discussed in connection with the structural changes due to complexation.  相似文献

Ligands derived from the tripodal N4 ligand tris(pyridylmethyl)amine ((pyCH2)3N, tpa) of general formula (6-RNHpyCH2)nN(CH2py)(3-n)(R = H, n= 1-3 L(1-3); R = neopentyl, n= 1-3 L'(1-3)) were used to elucidate and quantify the magnitude of the effects exerted by hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic environments in the zinc-water acidity of their complexes. The pKa of the zinc-bound water molecule of [(L(1-3))Zn(OH2)]2+ and [(L'(1-3))Zn(OH2)]2+ 1'-3' was determined by potentiometric pH titrations in water (1-3) or water-ethanol (1:1) (1'-3'). The zinc(II) water acidity gradually increases as the number of -NH2 hydrogen bonding groups adjacent to the water molecule increases. Thus, the zinc-bound water of [(L3)Zn(OH2)]2+ and [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+ deprotonate with pKa values of 6.0 and 8.0, respectively. The pKa of the water molecule, however, is only raised from 8.0 in [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+ to 9.1 in [(bpg)Zn(OH2)]+ (bpa =(pyCH2)2N(CH2COO-)). Moreover, the acidity of the zinc-bound water of several of the five-coordinate zinc(II) complexes with the hydrogen bonding groups is greater than that of four-coordinate [((12)aneN3)Zn(OH2)]2+ (pKa = 7.0). This result shows that the magnitude of the effect exerted by the hydrogen bonding groups can be larger than that induced by changing one neutral by one anionic ligand, and/or even by changing the coordination number of the zinc(II) centre. The X-ray structure of [(L'2)Zn(OH)]ClO4 2' and [(L'3)Zn(OH)]ClO4.CH3CN 3'.CH3CN is reported, and show the neopentylamino groups forming N-H...O hydrogen bonds with the zinc-bound hydroxide. Although, which have hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic groups, have a zinc-bound water more acidic than [(tpa)Zn(OH2)]2+, their pKa is not always lower than that of 1-3. This result suggests that a hydrogen bonding microenvironment may be more effective than a hydrophobic one to increase the zinc-water acidity.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pd(II) and UO2(II) chelates of 1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphthalenol (TAN) were reported. The dissociation constants of the ligand and the stability constants of the metal complexes were calculated pH-metrically at 25 degrees C and 0.1 M ionic strength. The solid complexes were characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, molar conductance, IR, magnetic and diffuse reflectance spectra. The complexes were found to have the formulae [M(L)2] for M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II); [M(L)X].nH2O for M = Cu(II) (X = AcO, n = 3), Pd(II) (X = Cl, n = 0) and UO2(II) (X = NO3, n = 0), and [Fe(L)Cl2(H2O)].2H2O. The molar conductance data reveal that the chelates are non-electrolytes. IR spectra show that the ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a terdentate manner with ONN donor sites of the naphthyl OH, azo N and thiazole N. An octahedral structure is proposed for Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and UO2(II) complexes and a square planar structure for Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes. The thermal behaviour of these chelates shows that water molecules (coordinated and hydrated) and anions are removed in two successive steps followed immediately by decomposition of the ligand molecule in the subsequent steps. The relative thermal stability of the chelates is evaluated. The final decomposition products are found to be the corresponding metal oxides. The thermodynamic activation parameters, such as E*, delta H*, delta S* and delta G* are calculated from the TG curves.  相似文献

A tridentate ONN donor ligand, 5-methyl-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)pyrazole; H2L, was synthesized by reaction of 2-(3-ketobutanoyl)phenol with hydrazine hydrate. The ligand was characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra. 1H NMR spectra indicated the presence of the phenolic OH group and the imine NH group of the heterocyclic moiety. Different types of mononuclear metal complexes of the following formulae [(HL)2M][sdot]xH2O (M=VO, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd), [(HL)2M(H2O)2] (M=Mn and UO2) and [(HL)LFe(H2O)2] were obtained. The Fe(III) complex, [(HL)LFe(H2O)2] undergoes solvatochromism. Elemental analyses, IR, electronic and ESR spectra as well as thermal, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements were used to elucidate the structures of the newly prepared metal complexes. A square-pyramidal geometry is suggested for the VO(IV) complex, square-planar for the Cu(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, octahedral for the Fe(III) and Mn(II) complexes and tetrahedral for the Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes, while the UO2(VI) complex is eight-coordinate. Transmetallation of the UO2(VI) ion in its mononuclear complex by Fe(III), Ni(II) or Cu(II) ions occurred and mononuclear Fe(III), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes were obtained. IR spectra of the products did not have the characteristic UO2 absorption band and the electronic spectra showed absorption bands similar to those obtained for the corresponding mononuclear complexes. Also, transmetallation of the Ni(II) ion in its mononuclear complex by Fe(III) has occurred. The antifungal activity of the ligand and the mononuclear complexes were investigated.  相似文献

Reaction of group 12 metal halides in ethanol with the thiosemicarbazones 2-acetylpyridine-4N-ethylthiosemicarbazone (H4EL) and 2-acetylpyridine-N-oxide-4N-ethylthiosemicarbazone (H4ELO) produced the compounds [M(H4EL)X2] and [M(H4ELO)X2] [M=Zn(II), Cd(II) or Hg(II), X=Cl, Br or I]. The ligands and complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and by IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 113Cd, 199Hg) spectroscopy, and the structures of H4ELO·H2O and the complexes [Cd(H4EL)I2]·2DMSO, [Hg(H4EL)Br2]–DMSO, [Zn(H4ELO)Cl2] and [Zn(H4ELO)Br2] were determined by X-ray diffraction. The metal centers in the complexes have coordination number five, H4EL and H4ELO behaving as neutral NNS- and ONS-tridentate ligands, respectively. The coordination polyhedra are close to tetragonal pyramids, the degree of distortion towards trigonal bipyramids was estimated by τ calculation. Against the pathogenic fungi Aspergillus niger and Paecilomyces variotii, the mercury complexes of H4ELO had activities that at some doses exceeded that of nystatin.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear oxovanadium(v) complexes of tridentate Schiff bases HL(1)-HL(4) and H(2)L(5)-H(2)L(8) derived from 6-phenylsalicylaldehyde and 6-(2-hydroxyphenyl)salicylaldehyde and four different amines was synthesized. The systematically selected ligands contain aliphatic or aromatic nitrogen, or alkoxy- and phenoxy-oxygen as third donor atom. The complexes were characterised by spectroscopic methods in solution and the solid state. Single-crystal X-ray analyses were performed with VO(2)L(1)(), VO(2)L(3)x1/2EtOH (), VO(2)L(4)(), VO(OiPr)L(7)xiPrOH, VO(OiPr)L(8) and H(2)L(8). For all compounds the vanadium(v) cores contain distorted tetragonal pyramidal geometry around the dioxo- and oxovanadium site at which the N(2)O- and NO(2)-donor ligands bind equatorially. Complexes and display intramolecular hydrogen bonding of the pendant hydroxyphenyl group to a coordinated oxygen trans to a nitrogen atom and therefore serve as suitable models for the native site of vanadium dependent haloperoxidases. Variable-temperature (1)H NMR spectra revealed significant hydrogen bond interaction in acetonitrile solution. In situ prepared catalysts are active for hydrogen peroxide mediated oxygenation of ethyl phenyl sulfide and showed complete conversion of the substrate to ethyl phenyl sulfoxide, together with small amounts of the corresponding sulfone, as detected by GC/MS after 10 min. The complex of H(2)L(7) turned out to be most efficient while HL(1) and HL(2) were completely inactive. Catalysis is supported by the pendant OH group in the complex of HL(3), the catalyst is twice as active as the complex of HL(4).  相似文献
