In this paper, we study noncommutative domains ${\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi(\mathcal{H}) \subset B(\mathcal{H})^n}$ generated by positive regular free holomorphic functions f and certain classes of n-tuples ${\varphi = (\varphi_1, \ldots, \varphi_n)}$ of formal power series in noncommutative indeterminates Z 1, . . . , Z n . Noncommutative Poisson transforms are employed to show that each abstract domain ${\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi}$ has a universal model consisting of multiplication operators (M Z1, . . . , M Z n ) acting on a Hilbert space of formal power series. We provide a Beurling type characterization of all joint invariant subspaces under M Z1, . . . , M Z n and show that all pure n-tuples of operators in ${\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi(\mathcal{H})}$ are compressions of ${M_{Z_1} \otimes I, \ldots, M_{Z_n} \otimes I}$ to their coinvariant subspaces. We show that the eigenvectors of ${M_{Z_1}^*, \ldots, M_{Z_n}^*}$ are precisely the noncommutative Poisson kernels ${\Gamma_\lambda}$ associated with the elements ${\lambda}$ of the scalar domain ${\mathbb{D}_{f,<}^\varphi(\mathbb{C}) \subset \mathbb{C}^n}$ . These are used to solve the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem for the noncommutative Hardy algebra ${H^\infty(\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi)}$ . We introduce the characteristic function of an n-tuple ${T=(T_1, \ldots , T_n) \in \mathbb{D}_f^\varphi(\mathcal{H})}$ , present a model for pure n-tuples of operators in the noncommutative domain ${\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi(\mathcal{H})}$ in terms of characteristic functions, and show that the characteristic function is a complete unitary invariant for pure n-tuples of operators in ${\mathbb{D}_f^\varphi(\mathcal{H})}$ .  相似文献

LetW(x) be a function that is nonnegative inR, positive on a set of positive measure, and such that all power moments ofW 2 (x) are finite. Let {p n (W 2;x)} 0 denote the sequence of orthonormal polynomials with respect to the weightW 2, and let {α n } 1 and {β n } 1 denote the coefficients in the recurrence relation $$xp_n (W^2 ,x) = \alpha _{n + 1} p_{n + 1} (W^2 ,x) + \beta _n p_n (W^2 ,x) + \alpha _n p_{n - 1} (W^2 ,x).$$ We obtain a sufficient condition, involving mean approximation ofW ?1 by reciprocals of polynomials, for $$\mathop {\lim }\limits_{n \to \infty } {{\alpha _n } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\alpha _n } {c_n }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {c_n }} = \tfrac{1}{2}and\mathop {\lim }\limits_{n \to \infty } {{\beta _n } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\beta _n } {c_{n + 1} }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {c_{n + 1} }} = 0,$$ wherec n 1 is a certain increasing sequence of positive numbers. In particular, we obtain a sufficient condition for Freud's conjecture associated with weights onR.  相似文献

LetD be a simply connected domain, the boundary of which is a closed Jordan curveγ; \(\mathfrak{M} = \left\{ {z_{k, n} } \right\}\) , 0≦kn; n=1, 2, 3, ..., a matrix of interpolation knots, \(\mathfrak{M} \subset \Gamma ; A_c \left( {\bar D} \right)\) the space of the functions that are analytic inD and continuous on \(\bar D; \left\{ {L_n \left( {\mathfrak{M}; f, z} \right)} \right\}\) the sequence of the Lagrange interpolation polynomials. We say that a matrix \(\mathfrak{M}\) satisfies condition (B m ), \(\mathfrak{M}\) ∈(B m ), if for some positive integerm there exist a setB m containingm points and a sequencen p p=1 of integers such that the series \(\mathop \Sigma \limits_{p = 1}^\infty \frac{1}{{n_p }}\) diverges and for all pairsn i ,n j ∈{n p } p=1 the set \(\left( {\bigcap\limits_{k = 0}^{n_i } {z_{k, n_i } } } \right)\bigcap {\left( {\bigcup\limits_{k = 0}^{n_j } {z_{k, n_j } } } \right)} \) is contained inB m . The main result reads as follows. {Let D=z: ¦z¦ \(\Gamma = \partial \bar D\) and let the matrix \(\mathfrak{M} \subset \Gamma \) satisfy condition (Bm). Then there exists a function \(f \in A_c \left( {\bar D} \right)\) such that the relation $$\mathop {\lim \sup }\limits_{n \to \infty } \left| {L_n \left( {\mathfrak{M}, f, z} \right)} \right| = \infty $$ holds almost everywhere on γ.  相似文献

Let φ be a primitive Maass cusp form and t φ (n) be its nth Fourier coefficient at the cusp infinity. In this short note, we are interested in the estimation of the sums ${\sum_{n \leq x}t_{\varphi}(n)}$ and ${\sum_{n \leq x}t_{\varphi}(n^2)}$ . We are able to improve the previous results by showing that for any ${\varepsilon > 0}$ $$\sum_{n \leq x}t_{\varphi}(n) \ll\, _{\varphi, \varepsilon} x^{\frac{1027}{2827} + \varepsilon} \quad {and}\quad\sum_{n \leq x}t_{\varphi}(n^2) \ll\,_{\varphi, \varepsilon} x^{\frac{489}{861} + \varepsilon}.$$   相似文献

We are concerned with the elliptic problem $${\varepsilon ^2}{\Delta _{{S^n}}}u - u + {u^p} = 0{\text{ in }}{S^n},u > 0{\text{ in }}{S^n}$$ , where ${\Delta _{{S^n}}}$ is the Laplace-Beltrami operator on $\mathbb{S}^n : = \left\{ {x \in \mathbb{R}^{n + 1} ;\left\| x \right\| = 1} \right\}\left( {n \geqslant 3} \right)$ , and p ? 2. We construct a smooth branch C of solutions concentrating on the equator S n ∩ {x n+1 = 0}. Using the Crandall-Rabinowitz bifurcation theorem, we show that C has infinitely many bifurcation points from which continua of nonradial solutions emanate. In applying the bifurcation theorem, we verify the transversality condition directly.  相似文献

We consider the following prescribed curvature problem for polyharmonic operator: $$\left\{\begin{array}{llll} D_{m} u = \tilde{K}(y)|u|^{m^*-2}u\; {\rm in}\; \mathbb{S}^N\\ u \quad\; >0\qquad\quad\quad\quad\quad{\rm on}\; \mathbb{S}^N\\ u \quad\; \in H^{m}(\mathbb{S}^N), \end{array} \right.$$ where ${m^*=\frac{2N}{N-2m}, N\geq 2m+1,m \in \mathbb{N}_{+}, \tilde{K}}$ is positive and rationally symmetric, ${\mathbb{S}^N}$ is the unit sphere with the induced Riemannian metric ${g=g_{\mathbb{S}^N},}$ and D m is the elliptic differential operator of 2m order given by $$\begin{array}{lll}D_m={\prod\limits_{k=1}^m}{\left(-\Delta_g+\frac{1}{4}(N-2k)(N+2k-2)\right)}\end{array}$$ where Δ g is the Laplace-Beltrami operator on ${\mathbb{S}^N}$ . We will show that problem (P) has infinitely many non-radial positive solutions, whose energy can be arbitrary large.  相似文献

The order of the quantity \(\delta (L) = \mathop {\sup }\limits_{\chi _{_{_{_1 } } } } \mathop {\inf }\limits_{\chi _2 } \parallel \chi _1 - \chi _2 \parallel L_S [0,2 = ]\) as L → ∞ is studied for the classes of periodic functionsx 1εW p n (I), andx 2 εW q m (L). Let ${{\mathbb H}_n, n \geq 1}$ , be the near 2n-gon defined on the 1-factors of the complete graph on 2n?+?2 vertices, and let e denote the absolutely universal embedding of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ into PG(W), where W is a ${\frac{1}{n+2} \left(\begin{array}{c}2n+2 \\ n+1\end{array}\right)}$ -dimensional vector space over the field ${{\mathbb F}_2}$ with two elements. For every point z of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ and every ${i \in {\mathbb N}}$ , let Δ i (z) denote the set of points of ${{\mathbb H}_n}$ at distance i from z. We show that for every pair {x, y} of mutually opposite points of ${{\mathbb H}_n, W}$ can be written as a direct sum ${W_0 \oplus W_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus W_n}$ such that the following four properties hold for every ${i \in \{0,\ldots,n \}}$ : (1) ${\langle e(\Delta_i(x) \cap \Delta_{n-i}(y)) \rangle = {\rm PG}(W_i)}$ ; (2) ${\left\langle e \left( \bigcup_{j \leq i} \Delta_j(x) \right) \right\rangle = {\rm PG}(W_0 \oplus W_1 \oplus \cdots \oplus W_i)}$ ; (3) ${\left\langle e \left( \bigcup_{j \leq i} \Delta_j(y) \right) \right\rangle = {\rm PG}(W_{n-i}\oplus W_{n-i+1} \oplus \cdots \oplus W_n)}$ ; (4) ${\dim(W_i) = |\Delta_i(x) \cap \Delta_{n-i}(y)| = \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i\end{array}\right)^2 - \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i-1\end{array}\right) \cdot \left(\begin{array}{c}n \\ i+1\end{array}\right)}$ .  相似文献

We characterize the trace of the Sobolev space W p l (? n , γ) with 1 < p < ∞ and weight γA p loc (? n ) on a d-dimensional plane for 1 ≤ d < n. It turns out that for a function φ to be the trace of a function fW p l (? n , γ), it is necessary and sufficient that φ belongs to a new Besov space of variable smoothness, $\overline B _p^l \left( {\mathbb{R}^d ,\left\{ {\gamma _{k,m} } \right\}} \right)$ , constructed in this paper. The space $\overline B _p^l \left( {\mathbb{R}^d ,\left\{ {\gamma _{k,m} } \right\}} \right)$ is compared with some earlier known Besov spaces of variable smoothness.  相似文献

Let X and Y be fences of size n and m, respectively and n, m be either both even or both odd integers (i.e., |m-n| is an even integer). Let \(r = \left\lfloor {{{(n - 1)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{(n - 1)} 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}} \right\rfloor\) . Let Ω be an arbitrary open set in R n , and let σ(x) and g i (x), i = 1, 2, ..., n, be positive functions in Ω. We prove a embedding theorem of different metrics for the spaces W p r (Ω, σ, $ \vec g $ ), where rN, p ≥ 1, and $ \vec g $ (x) = (g 1(x), g 2(x), ..., g n (x)), with the norm $$ \left\| {u;W_p^r (\Omega ;\sigma ,\vec g)} \right\| = \left\{ {\left\| {u;L_{p,r}^r (\Omega ;\sigma ,\vec g)} \right\|^p + \left\| {u;L_{p,r}^0 (\Omega ;\sigma ,\vec g)} \right\|^p } \right\}^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 p}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} p}} , $$ where $$ \left\| {u;L_{p,r}^m (\Omega ;\sigma ,\vec g)} \right\| = \left\{ {\sum\limits_{\left| k \right| = m} {\int\limits_\Omega {(\sigma (x)g_1^{k_1 - r} (x)g_2^{k_2 - r} (x) \cdots g_n^{k_n - r} (x)\left| {u^{(k)} (x)} \right|)^p dx} } } \right\}^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 p}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} p}} , $$ We use this theorem to prove the existence and uniqueness of a minimizing element U(x) ∈ W p r (Ω, σ, $ \vec g $ ) for the functional $$ \Phi (u) = \sum\limits_{\left| k \right| \leqslant r} {\frac{1} {{p_k }}\int\limits_\Omega {a_k (x)} \left| {u^{(k)} (x)} \right|^{p_k } } dx - \left\langle {F,u} \right\rangle , $$ where F is a given functional. We show that the function U(x) is a generalized solution of the corresponding nonlinear differential equation. For the case in which Ω is bounded, we study the differential properties of the generalized solution depending on the smoothness of the coefficients and the right-hand side of the equation.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a problem posed by W Mills D Robbins and H Rumsey for a certain plane partition generating functionZ n (x, m) The special caseZ n (1,m) is the generating function that arose in the weak Macdonald conjecture Mills—Robbins—Rumsey conjectured thatZ n (2,m) also possesses a nice finite product representation Their conjecture is proved as Theorem 1 The method of proof resembles that of the evaluation ofZ n (1,m) given previously Many results for the3 F 2 hypergeometric function are required including Whipple's theorem, the Pfaff-Saalschutz summation and contiguous relations In passing we note that our Lemma 2 provides a new and simpler representation ofZ n (2,m) as a determinant $$Z_n (2,m) = \det \left( {\delta _{ij} + \sum\limits_{i = 0}^l {\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {m + j + t} \\ t \\ \end{array} } \right)\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {m + i} \\ {m + t} \\ \end{array} } \right)} } \right)_{0 \leqq ij \leqq n - 1} $$ Conceivably this new representation may provide new interpretations of the combinatorial significance ofZ n (2,m) In the final analysis, one would like a combinatorial explanation ofZ n (2,m) that would provide an algorithmic proof of the Mills Robbins—Rumsey conjecture  相似文献

A given set W = {W X } of n-variable class C 1 functions is a gradient-projective basis if for every tempered distribution f whose gradient is square-integrable, the sum $\sum\limits_\chi {(\int_{\mathbb{R}^n } {\nabla f \cdot } \nabla W_\chi ^* )} W_\chi $ converges to f with respect to the norm $\left\| {\nabla ( \cdot )} \right\|_{L^2 (\mathbb{R}^n )} $ . The set is not necessarily an orthonormal set; the orthonormal expansion formula is just an element of the convex set of valid expansions of the given function f over W. We construct a gradient-projective basis W = {W x } of compactly supported class C 2?? functions on ? n such that where X has the structure $\chi = (\tilde \chi ,\nu )$ , ν ∈ ?. W is a wavelet set in the sense that the functions indexed by $\tilde \chi $ are generated by an averaging of lattice translations with wave propagations, and there are two additional discrete parameters associated with the latter. These functions indexed by $\tilde \chi $ are the unit-scale wavelets. The support volumes of our unit-scale wavelets are not uniformly bounded, however. While the practical value of this construction is doubtful, our motivation is theoretical. The point is that a gradient-orthonormal basis of compactly supported wavelets has never been constructed in dimension n > 1. (In one dimension the construction of such a basis is easy — just anti-differentiate the Haar functions.)  相似文献

In this paper, we will prove the existence of infinitely many solutions for the following elliptic problem with critical Sobolev growth and a Hardy potential: $$-\Delta u-\frac{\mu}{|x|^2}u = |u|^{2^{\ast}-2}u+a u\quad {\rm in}\;\Omega,\quad u=0 \quad {\rm on}\; \partial\Omega,\qquad (*)$$ under the assumptions that N ≥ 7, ${\mu\in \left[0,\frac{(N-2)^2}4-4\right)}$ and a > 0, where ${2^{\ast}=\frac{2N}{N-2}}$ , and Ω is an open bounded domain in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ which contains the origin. To achieve this goal, we consider the following perturbed problem of (*), which is of subcritical growth, $$-\Delta u-\frac{\mu}{|x|^2}u = |u|^{2^{\ast}-2-\varepsilon_n}u+au \quad {\rm in}\,\Omega, \quad u=0 \quad {\rm on}\;\partial\Omega,\qquad(\ast\ast)_n$$ where ${\varepsilon_{n} > 0}$ is small and ${\varepsilon_n \to 0}$ as n → + ∞. By the critical point theory for the even functionals, for each fixed ${\varepsilon_{n} > 0}$ small, (**) n has a sequence of solutions ${u_{k,\varepsilon_{n}} \in H^{1}_{0}(\Omega)}$ . We obtain the existence of infinitely many solutions for (*) by showing that as n → ∞, ${u_{k,\varepsilon_{n}}}$ converges strongly in ${H^{1}_{0}(\Omega)}$ to u k , which must be a solution of (*). Such a convergence is obtained by applying a local Pohozaev identity to exclude the possibility of the concentration of ${\{u_{k,\varepsilon_n}\}}$ .  相似文献
