Platinum(II) extraction by N,N′-dipentylethylenediamine-N′-thiocarbaldehyde from 0.1 M HCl into chloroform and toluene diluents was studied at 25°C and a phase contact time of 5 min. The extraction had a coordination mechanism with a Pt ← S bond formed in the extracted complex PtCl2S2. A tridentate nitrogen-sulfur Schiff base, 3-methylbenzyl 2-(6-methylpyridin-2-ylmethylene)hydrazine carbodithioate (6mpyS3M), was synthesized by condensation of 6-methylpyridine-2-aldehyde with S-3-methylbenzyldithiocarbazate. It crystallized in space group P 21/n. It displayed intermolecular N–H···N hydrogen bonding between the α-nitrogen and the pyridyl nitrogen. The thione sulfur is in a trans position with respect to the 6-methylpyridine fragment across the C–N bond but adopts a cis position with the 3-methylbenzyl fragment through the C–S bond. Octahedral complexes containing two 6mpyS3M ligands were prepared with Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II). 6mpyS3M and its metal complexes were assayed against selected microbes and two breast cancer cell lines. 6mpyS3M was strongly active against both cancer cell lines. Its metal complexes showed high selectivity with Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes strongly active against only one of the cancer cell lines, whereas the Cd(II) complex was strongly active only against the other. Only Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes were active against some of the bacteria.  相似文献

As part of a search for environmentally friendly metal chelating ligands, the stability constants of N, N′-ethylenedi-L-cysteine (EC) complexes with Ca(II), Cu(II), Mg(II) and Mn(II) were determined by potentiometry with a glass electrode in aqueous solutions containing 0.1 mol⋅L−1 KCl at 25 °C. Final models are proposed. For the Ca(II)–EC system, the overall stability constants are log 10 β CaHL=14.53±0.03, log 10 β CaL=4.79±0.01 and log 10 β CaL2=8.38±0.04. For the M(II)–EC systems, where M=Cu(II) or Mg(II), the overall stability constants are log10 β CuHL=31.19±0.02 and log 10 β CuL=27.02±0.06 for Cu(II), and are log 10 β MgHL=14.84±0.02 and log 10 β MgL=6.164±0.008 for Mg(II). For the Mn(II)–EC system, the overall stability constant is log 10 β MnL=10.12±0.01. Metal–chelate speciations simulations showed that EC is an efficient chelating agent for Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) for pH≥7.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition reactions of manganese(II) complexes with L-proline and 4-hydroxy- L-proline were studied. The Mn(II) proline complex loses the water molecule at 40–95°C and then, heated above 250°C it decomposes in several steps to manganese oxide. The most appropriate kinetic equations for dehydration process are the geometrical R2 or R3 ones. They give a value of activation energy, E of about 95 kJmol–1. The Mn(II) hydroxyproline complex loses the water molecules in two stages (70–110 and 110–230°C) and next it decomposes to manganese oxide in several steps. The R3 or D3 (three-dimensional diffusion) models are the most appropriate for the first stage of dehydration (E is about 155 kJ mol–1). The second step of dehydration is limited by D3 mechanism (E=52 kJ mol–1). This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates were investigated and their quantitative composition and magnetic moments were determined. The IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared of general formula M(C9H9O3)2·nH2O (n=2 for Mn, Co n=1 for Ni, Cu, n=0 for Zn, Cd) were prepared and their thermal decomposition in air was studied. Their solubility in water at 293 K is of the order 10–2 (Mn)–10–4 (Cu) mol dm–3. IR spectra of the prepared 3-methoxy-4-methylbenzoates suggest that carboxylate groups are bidentate bridging. The magnetic moments for the paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.50, 4.45, 3.16 and 1.79 B. M., respectively. During heating the hydrated complexes lose crystallization water molecules in one step and then the anhydrous complexes decompose directly to oxides MO and Mn3O4. Only Co(II) complex decomposes to Co3O4 with intermediate formation CoO.  相似文献

Some physical and chemical properties of aliphatic acid NN′-dioctylhydrazides[RC(O)NHN(C8H17)2] (DOHs) were studied in comparison to 2-ethylhexanoic acid NN′-dialkylhydrazides, namely, solubility, acid-base properties, entrainment with an aqueous phase, and partition factors depending on the medium and the acyl radical length. The pH ranges of maximal extraction of copper(II) complexes by DOHs to kerosene and the effect of ammonium salts on copper(II) extraction were determined. The compositions of extracted complexes were determined (Cu(II): DOH = 1: 1 and 1: 2); the extraction constant K extr was calculated for the CuL2 complex with butyric acid NN′-dioctylhydrazide. A new C-glucoside, 3,4-epoxy-5-hydroxymethyl benzoate 2-C-β-glucoside (1), together with a known alkaloid, 1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde (2), were isolated from the whole plant of Commelina communis L. A new stilbene glycoside, 5-methylresveratrol-3,4′-O-β-D-diglucopyranoside (1), was isolated from the n-butanol fraction of the rhizomes of Veratrum dahuricum, together with five known stilbenoids: resveratrol-3-O-β-D-glycoside (2), 4′-methylresveratrol-3-O-β-D-glycoside (3), oxyresveratrol-4′-O-β-D-glycoside (4), oxyresveratrol-3-O-β-D-glycoside (5), and oxyresveratrol-3,4′-O-β-D-diglycoside (6), and found for the first time in the investigated plant. The structures of six isolates were identified on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR data. Compounds 1–6 showed platelet aggregation inhibition, and compound 1 had an IC50 value of 383.6 μM against platelet aggregation induced by AA. A new flavonoid, kaempferol-3,4′-di-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (1), and three known flavonoids (2–4) were isolated from the aerial parts of T. communis L. The structure of the new compound was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Compounds 1 and 2 showed significant antioxidant activity (IC50 187.151 ± 0.821 μM, and 92.079±0.513 μM, respectively), whereas compounds 3 and 4 showed moderate activity in DPPH free radical scavenging assays. Formation constants (logK MAL MA) of the mixed complexes of the type M–A–L (where M=Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Ce(III), Th(IV), and UO2(II); A=oxine and L=sulphamerazine or sulphadiazine) have been determined pH-metrically in 60% (v/v) ethanol–water mixture at 25°C and constant ionic strength (μ=0.1 M NaCl). The mode of chelation was ascertained by conductivity measurements. The stability sequence with respect to metal ions have been found to be Cu(II)>Ni(II)>Co(II)>Mn(II) and Th(IV)>UO2(II)>Ce(III). CuAL ternary solid complexes have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and IR-spectroscopy. The thermal degradations of the prepared complexes are discussed in an attempt to assign the intermediate compounds formed. New copper(II), nickel(II), iron(III) and palladium(II) Schiff base complexes derived from o-tolidine and selected aldehydes, namely salicyaldehyde and 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde have been synthesized and characterized by a combination of elemental analyses, magnetic moments, spectral (u.v.–vis., i.r.) and thermal (tg, dtg) mesurements. We studied nonequilibrium distribution of inert rhodium(III) in extraction by dihexyl sulfide (DHS)and alkylanilinium nitrate mixtures from joint nitrate solutions of triaquatrinitrorhodium (0.1–4 g/L Rh) and palladium (0–2 g/L Pd). We discovered the effect of increasing rhodium recovery in the presence of palladium. This effect has a kinetic nature and arises from the fact that bis(alkyl sulfide) palladium(II) species catalyze the reaction between dihexyl sulfide and a rhodium intermediate based on alkylanilinium nitrate micelles. Depending on initial rhodium and palladium concentrations, the extraction system provides effective distribution factors for rhodium in the range D Rh* = 8−300 and rhodium recoveries of 43–97% with ∼100% palladium recovery; single 5-min phase contact at 35°C ensures the 10-fold concentration of both metals in the extract. M?ssbauer spectroscopy is used to study the state of iron atoms in samples with a composition of CuCr1−x Fe x S2 (x = 0.01–0.30). It is shown that at x ≤ 0.02 samples are solid solutions in which iron atoms have an oxidation number of 3+ and replace chromium atoms in octahedral sites. When the iron concentration increases, the second phase — chalcopyrite CuFeS2 — forms along with the solid solution. The reactions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) chlorides and bromides and their metallic powders with tetrazol-1-yl-tris(hydroxymethyl)methane (L) afforded new complexes ML2Hal2 · mH2O(M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Cl; M = Cu(II), Hal = Cl or Br, m = 0; and M = Co(II) or Ni(II), Hal = Br, m = 2), MLnCl2 (M = Co(II) or Ni(II), n = 2 or 4; M = Cu(II), n = 2), and MLnBr2 · mH2O (M = Ni(II), n = 2, m = 2; M = Cu(II), n = 2, m = 0). The compositions and structures of the synthesized complexes were determined by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy (50–4000 cm−1), and X-ray diffraction analysis. The introduction of a bulky substituent into position 1 of the tetrazole cycle was shown to exert almost no effect on the coordination mode but affected the composition and structure of the complexes.  相似文献

Thermal behavior of various synthesized transition metal surfactant complexes of the type [M(CH3COO)4]2−[C12H25NH3 +]2 where M: Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) has been investigated using Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). It was found that pyrolytic decomposition occurs with melting in metal complexes, and that metal oxides remain as final products. The activation energy order obtained, E Cu > E Ni > E Co, could be explained on the basis of size of transition metal ion and metal ligand bond strength. In the course of our investigation on the decomposition of complexes, we carried out a comparative study of different measurement and calculation procedures for the thermal decomposition. A critical examination was made of the kinetic parameters of non-isothermal thermoanalytic rate measurement by means of several methods such as Coats–Redfern (CR), Horowitz–Metzger (HM), van Krevelen (vK), Madhusudanan–Krishnan–Ninan (MKN), and Wanjun–Yuwen–Hen–Cunxin (WYHC). The most appropriate method among these was determined for each decomposition step according to the least-squares linear regression. It was found that the results obtained using CR method differ considerably from HM method, as the former method involves a lot of approximations and is not much reliable. The application of thermoanalytic techniques to the investigation of rate processes has also been discussed.  相似文献
