We consider massless elementary particles in a quantum theory based on a Galois field (GFQT). We previously showed that the theory has a new symmetry between particles and antiparticles, which has no analogue in the standard approach. We now prove that the symmetry is compatible with all operators describing massless particles. Consequently, massless elementary particles can have only half-integer spin (in conventional units), and the existence of massless neutral elementary particles is incompatible with the spin–statistics theorem. In particular, this implies that the photon and the graviton in the GFQT can only be composite particles.  相似文献

Let be a (small) category and let F:  →  algf be a functor, where algf is the category of finite-dimensional measured algebras over a field k (or Frobenius algebras). We construct a universal Hopf algebra Aaut(F) such that F factorizes through a functor :  →  coalgf(Aaut(F)), where coalgf(Aaut(F)) is the category of finite-dimensional measured Aaut(F)-comodule algebras. This general reconstruction result allows us to recapture a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra A from the category coalgf(A) and the forgetful functor ω: coalgf(A) →  algf: we have A  Aaut(ω). Our universal construction is also done in a C*-algebra framework, and we get compact quantum groups in the sense of Woronowicz.  相似文献

In this article we construct some Galois extensions LK with finite Galois groups and such that |Gal(LK)|>[L:K]. Using an analog of the Noether method, we explain how to obtain, with a fixed center, such a Galois curiosity with a Galois group as large as we want.

Résumé : Dans cet article, nous construisons une extension galoisienne LK à groupe de Galois fini et telle que |Gal(LK)|>[L:K]. En utilisant un analogue non commutatif de la méthode de Noether, nous expliquons ensuite comment, à centre fixé, l’on peut construire une telle curiosité galoisienne avec un groupe aussi gros que l’on veut.

A crossed product representing an associative finite dimensional central simple algebra over a field is called regular if all values of the corresponding cocycle are roots of unity. Under a certain assumption such a crossed product is shown to allow the construction of Galois representations. In this article we study Drinfeld modular curves X0(pn) associated to congruence subgroups Γ0(pn) of GL(2,Fq[T]) where p is a prime of Fq[T]. For n>r>0 we compute the extension degrees and investigate the structure of the Galois closures of the covers X0(pn)→X0(pr) and some of their variations. The results have some immediate implications for the Galois closures of two well-known optimal wild towers of function fields over finite fields introduced by Garcia and Stichtenoth, for which the modular interpretation was given by Elkies.  相似文献

Complex functions χ(m) where m belongs to a Galois field GF(p ), are considered. Fourier transforms, displacements in the GF(p GF(p ) phase space and symplectic transforms of these functions are studied. It is shown that the formalism inherits many features from the theory of Galois fields. For example, Frobenius transformations and Galois groups are introduced in the present context. The relationship between harmonic analysis on GF(p ) and harmonic analysis on its subfields, is studied.   相似文献

El Kaoutit and Gómez-Torrecillas introduced comatrix corings, generalizing Sweedler's canonical coring, and proved a new version of the Faithfully Flat Descent Theorem. They also introduced Galois corings as corings isomorphic to a comatrix coring. In this paper, we further investigate this theory. We prove a new version of the Joyal-Tierney Descent Theorem, and generalize the Galois Coring Structure Theorem. We associate a Morita context to a coring with a fixed comodule, and relate it to Galois-type properties of the coring. An affineness criterion is proved in the situation where the coring is coseparable. Further properties of the Morita context are studied in the situation where the coring is (co)Frobenius.

Galois hulls of MDS codes can be applied to construst MDS entanglement-assisted quantum error-correcting codes (EAQECCs). Goppa codes and expurgated Goppa codes (resp., extended Goppa codes) over Fqm are GRS codes (resp., extended GRS codes) when m=1. In this paper, we investigate the Galois dual codes of a special kind of Goppa codes and related codes and provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the Galois dual codes of such codes to be Goppa codes and related codes. Then we determine the Galois hulls of the above codes. In particular, we completely characterize Galois LCD, Galois self-orthogonal, Galois dual-containing and Galois self-dual codes among such family of codes. Moreover, we apply the above results to EAQECCs.  相似文献

Let R be a domain, complete with respect to a norm which defines a non-discrete topology on R. We prove that the quotient field of R is ample, generalizing a theorem of Pop. We then consider the case where R is a ring of arithmetic power series which are holomorphic on the closed disc of radius 0<r<1 around the origin, and apply the above result to prove that the absolute Galois group of the quotient field of R is semi-free. This strengthens a theorem of Harbater, who solved the inverse Galois problem over these fields.  相似文献
