Let H(U) denote the vector space of all complex-valued holomorphic functions on an open subset U of a Banach space E. Let τω and τδ respectively denote the compact-ported topology and the bornological topology on H(U). We show that if E is a Banach space with a shrinking Schauder basis, and with the property that every continuous polynomial on E is weakly continuous on bounded sets, then (H(U),τω) and (H(U),τδ) have the approximation property for every open subset U of E. The classical space c0, the original Tsirelson space T and the Tsirelson-James space are examples of Banach spaces which satisfy the hypotheses of our main result. Our results are actually valid for Riemann domains.  相似文献

We study the bounded approximation property for spaces of holomorphic functions. We show that if U is a balanced open subset of a Fréchet–Schwartz space or (DFM )‐space E , then the space ??(U ) of holomorphic mappings on U , with the compact‐open topology, has the bounded approximation property if and only if E has the bounded approximation property. In this paper we prove that if U is an open subset of a metrizable locally convex space E of infinite dimension, the space H(U) of all holomorphic functions on U, endowed with the Nachbin-Coeuré topology τδ, is not metrizable. Our result can be applied to get that, for all usual topologies, H(U) is metrizable if and only if E has finite dimension.  相似文献

Let H(E) be the space of complex valued holomorphic functions on a complex Banach space E. The approximation property for H(E), endowed with various natural locally convex topologies, is studied. For example, H(E) with the compact-open topology has the approximation property if and only if E has the approximation property. In order to characterize when H(E) has the approximation property for topologies other than the compact-open, the notion of a compact holomorphic map between Banach spaces in introduced and studied.  相似文献

Given a holomorphic mapping of bounded type gHb(U, F), where U ? E is a balanced open subset, and E, F are complex Banach spaces, let A : Hb(F) ∈ Hb(U) be the homomorphism defined by A(f) = fog for all fHb(F). We prove that: (a) for F having the Dunford-Pettis property, A is weakly compact if and only if g is weakly compact; (b) A is completely continuous if and only if g(W) is a Dunford-Pettis set for every U-bounded subset W ? U. To obtain these results, we prove that the class of Dunford - Pettis sets is stable under projecti ve tensor products. Moreover, we diaracterize the reflexivity of the space Hb(U,F) and prove that E' and F have the Schur property if and only if Hb(U, F) has the Schur property. As an application, we obtain some results on linearization of holomorphic mappings.  相似文献

Given two complex normed spaces E and F, F complete, and a balanced open subset U of E, we prove that the space H(b(U, F) of the holomorphic mappings f: UF of bounded type, endowed with its natural topology τb, is a distinguished quasi-normable Fréchet space, which is not a Schwartz space unless dim E < ∞ and dim F < ∞.  相似文献

The bornology (b) of bounded subsets with respect to continuous convergence is used on spaces of holomorphic functions. It is shown that HomcoHb(U) ? U for a circled convex open subset U of a complete nuclear space. Exponential laws for spaces of holomorphic functions with bornological structures are proved and the connection with Colombeau's Silva holomorphic functions is established.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with several approximation problems in the weighted Hardy spacesH p(Ω) of analytic functions in the open unit disc D of the complex plane ℂ. We prove that ifX is a relatively closed subset of D, the class of uniform limits onX of functions inH p(Ω) coincides, moduloH p(Ω), with the space of uniformly continuous functions on a certain hull ofX which are holomorphic on its interior. We also solve the simultaneous approximation problems of describing Farrell and Mergelyan sets forH p(Ω), giving geometric characterizations for them. By replacing approximating polynomials by polynomial multipliers of outer functions, our results lead to characterizations of the same sets with respect to cyclic vectors in the classical Hardy spacesH p(D), 1 ⪯p < ∞. Let HV(UXE) (or HV0(UXE)) and HW(UYF) (or HW0(UYF)) be the weighted spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions. Let H(U) denote the space of all holomorphic functions on an open subset U of a complex Fréchet space E. Let H(K) denote the space of all holomorphic germs on a compact subset K of E. It is shown that H(K), with a natural topology, is the inductive limit of a suitable sequence of compact subsets, within the category of all topological spaces. As an application of this result it is shown that the compact-ported topology introduced by Nachbin coincides with the compact-open topology on H(U) whenever U is a balanced open subset of a Fréchet-Schwartz space. This last result improves earlier results of P. Boland and S. Dineen [Bull. Soc. Math. France106 (1978), 311–336], R. Meise [Proc. Roy. Irish Acad. Sect. A81 (1981), 217–223], and others.  相似文献

A subbundle of a Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle (E, h) can be metrically and differentially defined by the orthogonal projection onto itself. A weakly holomorphic subbundle of (E, h) is, by definition, an orthogonal projection π lying in the Sobolev space L21 of L2 sections of End E with L2 first order derivatives in the sense of distributions, which satisfies furthermore (Id−π)∘D′′π=0. A weakly holomorphic subbundle of (E, h) is shown to define a coherent subsheaf of (E), and implicitly a holomorphic subbundle of E in the complement of an analytic subset of codimension ≥2. This result provided the key technical argument to the proof given by Uhlenbeck and Yau for the Kobayashi-Hitchin correspondence on compact Kähler manifolds. We give here a much simpler proof based on current theory. The idea is to construct local meromorphic sections of Im π which locally span the fibers. We first make this construction on one-dimensional submanifolds of X and subsequently extend it by means of a Hartogs-type theorem of Shiffman’s.  相似文献

LetE be a real nuclear bornological vector space; we prove that the space ℰ(E) of allC -functions onE coincides with the projective limit of the spaces ℰNbc(E B), whenB is a closed convex balanced bounded subset ofE. As a consequence we obtain some density results and a version of the Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem. We study homomorphisms between Fréchet algebras of holomorphic functions of bounded type. In this setting we prove that any pointwise bounded homomorphism into the space of entire functions of bounded type is rank one. Applications of locally fine property for operators are further developed. LetE andF be Banach spaces andF:U(x 0)⊂EF be C1 nonlinear map, whereU (x 0) is an open set containing pointx 0E. With the locally fine property for Frechet derivativesf′(x) and generalized rank theorem forf′(x), a local conjugacy theorem, i. e. a characteristic condition forf being conjugate tof′(x 0) near x0,is proved. This theorem gives a complete answer to the local conjugacy problem. Consequently, several rank theorems in advanced calculus are established, including a theorem for C1 Fredholm map which has been so far unknown. Also with this property the concept of regular value is extended, which gives rise to a generalized principle for constructing Banach submanifolds.  相似文献

This paper contains some theorems related to the best approximation ρn(f;E) to a function f in the uniform metric on a compact set by rational functions of degree at most n. We obtain results characterizing the relationship between ρn(f;K) and ρn(f;E) in the case when complements of compact sets K and E are connected, K is a subset of the interior Ω of E, and f is analytic in Ω and continuous on E.  相似文献

We study continuity envelopes in spaces of generalised smoothness Bpq(s,Ψ) and Fpq(s,Ψ) and give some new characterisations for spaces Bpq(s,Ψ). The results are applied to obtain sharp asymptotic estimates for approximation numbers of compact embeddings of type id:Bpq(s1,Ψ)(U)→B∞∞s2(U), where and U stands for the unit ball in . In case of entropy numbers we can prove two-sided estimates.  相似文献

An approximation Ansatz for the operator solution, U(z′,z), of a hyperbolic first-order pseudodifferential equation, ? z  + a(z,x,D x ) with Re (a) ≥ 0, is constructed as the composition of global Fourier integral operators with complex phases. An estimate of the operator norm in L(H (s),H (s)) of these operators is provided, which yields a convergence result for the Ansatz to U(z′,z) in some Sobolev space as the number of operators in the composition goes to ∞.  相似文献
