采用四光束一次曝光法制备了二维电调谐聚合物分散液晶光栅,实验表明该方法制备的二维光栅具有非常好的电光特性,其衍射图样为空间点阵且衍射效率可以通过电场进行调节|偏光显微镜和原子力显微镜表明光栅中的液晶和聚合物在二维空间上呈周期性分布.同时利用二维衍射模型对二维光栅的电光特性进行了理论模拟,得到理论模拟的结果与实验结果相吻合.  相似文献

新型聚合物分散液晶相位光栅的制备   总被引:10,自引:5,他引:5  
把具有光敏特性的预聚物与向列相液晶按一定比例混合 ,注入表面经过取向处理的液晶盒中。以紫外灯为光源 ,通过光掩膜法 ,使混合物在光场的引发下发生相分离 ,形成液晶 /聚合物相位光栅。由于相分离后液晶在取向膜的作用下沿液晶盒面方向旋转 180° ,克服了传统液晶光栅器件对入射光偏振方向的依赖 ,提高了光的有效利用率。采用光学显微镜和He Ne激光器进行测试 ,结果表明所制样品具有较好的栅结构 ,其衍射效率不受入射光偏振方向的影响且具有电场可调性。该光栅制作方法简便 ,驱动电压低 ,在光通信器件、衍射光学、投影显示、光开关等领域有广泛的应用前景  相似文献

把夹预聚物分散液晶的玻璃用菲林掩膜遮盖,在紫外灯下进行弱准直光曝光,使液晶和聚合物产生相分离,形成聚合物分散液晶光栅。并采用偏光显微镜对光栅的形貌进行检测,利用激光笔对光栅的电光特性进行测定,证明衍射效率具有电场可调谐性。实验方法简单易操作,现象明显,在光栅常数较大时可以明显看到衍射效果,对液晶物理专业基础实验的教学具有参考意义。  相似文献

基于聚合物支撑(polymer scaffolding)形貌的全息液晶/聚合物透射光栅, 系统研究了光栅的光学各向异性. 在这种形貌的光栅内, 液晶不是以液滴的形态存在于富液晶区, 据此建立了相应光栅的简化模型, 然后在各向异性耦合波理论框架下研究了光栅的衍射特性. 详尽的衍射效率实验值和计算值比较, 很好解释了液晶/聚合物光栅的光学各向异性, 也证实了液晶分子大致沿着光栅矢量排列.  相似文献

报道了一种由聚合物分散液晶膜与具有周期性条状电极结构板结合的新型光栅器件,借助于聚合物分散液晶膜的电光特性,这种栅对入射光的散射或衍射取决于对其施加的电压,即它是电场可调的,实验结果显示出当驱动电压超过器件器件阈值电压时,衍射光的强度和衍射斑的可见级次被电场调制,而且它能入射光的线性偏振态变为椭圆偏振态。  相似文献

纳米银掺杂的高效率全息聚合物分散液晶光栅制备   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
报道了一种基于掺杂纳米银聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)材料的高衍射率全息电控光栅的制备及特性。通过在原有聚合物分散液晶材料体系中添加适量的纳米银颗粒以制备体全息光栅,实验研究了掺杂不同质量比的纳米银颗粒对全息聚合物分散液晶(H-PDLC)体光栅的衍射效率、驱动阈值电压、响应时间的影响。实验结果表明,通过掺杂纳米银材料,能够优化聚合物和液晶两相分离结构,使聚合物与液晶分离更加彻底,显著提高H-PDLC体光栅的一级衍射效率,同时能改善体光栅的电光特性,缩短响应时间。初步分析表明,由于纳米银颗粒的表面等离子体效应和体系折射率匹配的优化改善了H-PDLC光栅的特性。  相似文献

首先制备了不同周期的染料掺杂全息液晶/聚合物光栅并进行激光抽运实验, 得到了激光器的调谐曲线,确定了激光器在574 nm到685 nm的谱带里均可以实现激光输出, 即激光器具有110 nm左右的可调谐范围. 之后, 通过温控仪控制样品的温度, 对周期为610 nm的染料掺杂全息液晶/聚合物光栅进行激光抽运, 探测不同温度下的输出激光光谱, 观察到随着温度由20℃升高到65℃, 激光器的中心波长由627.9 nm减小到623 nm, 产生了4.9 nm的波长蓝移.  相似文献

利用低光强曝光进行全息液晶/聚合物光栅(HPDLC)的制备,获得了内部无液晶微滴具有聚合物支撑形貌的低散射透射光栅结构.分别研究了染料PM567,DCM,DCJTI的放大的自发辐射(ASE)阈值及相对出射光强等性质,得到三种染料中DCJIT的ASE阈值最低,相对出射光强最高,表明DCJTI更适于制备低阈值、高转化效率激光器.分别采用这三种染料制备基于聚合物支撑形貌光栅的分布反馈式激光器,通过改变光栅周期得到不同出射波长的激光.其中,以DCJTI为工作物质,得到中心波长为648 nm,阈值为0.65μJ/pulse,转化效率为1.6%,线宽为0.3 nm的高性能激光.与国内外同类激光器相比,在阈值、转化效率、线宽三个方面均有不同程度的提高.  相似文献

In this work, an electrically tunable long-period fiber grating (LPFG) coated with liquid crystal layer (LC) is presented. As a LC layer, a prototype low-birefringence 1550A LC mixture was chosen. As a LPFG host, two types of gratings were studied: the LPFGs based on a standard telecommunication fiber, produced by an electric arc technique with a period of 222 μm, and the LPFGs based on a boron co-doped fiber written by a UV technique with a period of 226.8 μm. The relatively short period of these gratings allowed exploiting unique sensing properties of the attenuation bands associated with modes close to the turn-around point. Experiments carried out showed that for the UV-induced LPFG with a LC layer, on the powered state the attenuation band could be offset from the attenuation band measured in the unpowered state by almost 130 nm. When the arc-induced LPFG was coated with the LC, the depth of the attenuation band could be efficiently controlled by applying an external E-field. Additionally, all experimental results obtained in this work were supported by the theoretical analysis based on a model developed with Optigrating v.4.2 software.  相似文献

In this paper,we demonstrate an alternative approach to fabricating an electrically tunable holographic polymer templated blue phase liquid crystal grating.This grating is obtained by preforming a polymer template comprised of periodic fringes,and then refilling it with a blue phase liquid crystal.Compared with conventional holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal gratings,our grating can remarkably reduce its switching voltage from 200 V to 43 V while maintaining a sub-millisecond response time.The holographic polymer templated blue phase liquid crystal(HPTBPLC) grating is free from electrode patterning,thus leading to a lower cost and more flexible applications.  相似文献

Diffraction of liquid crystal gratings has been thoroughly studied for many applications such as diffraction optics, optical processing, and spectral analysis. In pure optical processing one varies the direction of propagation of light beam without any mechanical adjustment. In this work we propose a beam steering device using highly birefringent liquid crystal material. Using a highly birefringent material one can reduce the LC layer thickness needed to achieve 2π of phase modulation and thus reduce the fringing effect caused by deformation of the electric field at the edge of the pixel. Here, we present 1.5-μm thick, high-resolution diffraction grating with non-detectable fringing.  相似文献

A new scheme for recording a dynamic phase grating with an asymmetric profile in C60-doped homeotropically aligned nematic liquid crystal(NLC) was presented.An oblique incidence beam was used to record the thin asymmetric dynamic phase holographic grating.The diffraction efficiency we achieved is more than 40%,exceeding the theoretical limit for symmetric profile gratings.Both facts can be explained by assuming that a grating with an asymmetric saw-tooth profile is formed in the NLC.Finally,physical mechanism and mathematical model for characterizing the asymmetric phase holographic grating were presented,based on the photo-refractive-like(PR-like) effect.  相似文献

利用低官能度的丙烯酸酯单体进行全息液晶/聚合物光栅的制备, 获得了具有聚合物支撑形貌的光栅结构. 由于这种光栅内部不存在液晶微滴, 当作为分布反馈式激光器的谐振腔时, 可以有效降低光栅内部的散射损失(<4%), 降低激光腔损耗. 此外, 选用的高折射率单体提升了光栅的折射率调制量, 增强了光栅的反馈增益. 在以上两种因素的共同作用下, 采用染料DCM为激光工作物质, 以532 nm的Nd:YAG脉冲激光器作为抽运光源, 最终获得了中心波长为635 nm, 转化效率为1.2%的高性能激光, 在以阈值能量0.8 μJ/pulse抽运下获得激光线宽0.3 nm, 较之国内外同类激光器的报道, 在阈值、线宽、转化效率三方面均有不同程度提升.  相似文献

了降低聚合物/液晶光栅的散射损失,并消除光栅的偏振依赖性,选取了低官能度的光敏单体作为反应体系,并逐步提高光栅的制备温度。首先选用五官能度的DPHPA (dipentaerythritol hydroxyl pentaacrylate)、双官能度的PDDA( phthalic diglycol diacrylate)以及单官能度的NVP (N-vinylpyrrolidone)作为反应体系;其次,在制备过程中在光栅的后面放置加热台,逐步提升制备温度。实验结果表明:当制备温度上升到62 ℃以上,光栅有更多(36%)的液晶析出,相分离比常温下制备时要更完全一些,而且高温下制备的光栅其平整度更高,从而使光栅的散射损失比常温下减小了66.7%,器件的SEM图片也进一步证明了这个结论。同时高温制备也消除了液晶光栅的偏振依赖特性。  相似文献

针对现有液晶光栅器件存在的光栅常数不能变化、电极尖端放电、边缘效应等缺点,设计了一种可转换光栅常数的液晶光栅。通过控制不同导电区的通断电,使液晶光栅不同区域产生透光与不透光,实现光栅常数的转换;液晶光栅梳状电极端部的圆弧状设计,避免了尖端放电现象,减小了边缘效应的影响。以He-Ne激光为光源,用WGD-8A型组合式多功能光栅光谱仪对所设计的液晶光栅器件进行了测量,结果表明:通过控制导电区的变化实现了光栅常数的转变,在2~3.4 V电压驱动下,具有3种不同光栅常数的液晶光栅的1级衍射光强逐渐增强,且其衍射光强的差值不断增大,达到了预期设计目的。设计的液晶光栅在视差栅栏、光栅尺等方面有好的应用前景。  相似文献

In this Letter, we present an electrically tunable holographic waveguide display(HWD) based on two slanted holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) gratings. Experimental results show that a see-through effect is obtained in the HWD that both the display light from HWD and the ambient light can be clearly seen simultaneously. By applying an external electric field, the output intensity of the display light can be modulated,which is attributed to the field-induced rotation of the liquid crystal molecules in the two HPDLC gratings.We also show that this electrically tunable performance enables the HWD to adapt to different ambient light conditions. This study provides some ideas towards the development of HWD and its application in augmented reality.  相似文献
