According to the basic idea of classical yin-yang complementarity and modem dual-complementarity,in a simple and unified new way proposed by Luo,the unconven- tional Hamilton-type variational principles for geometrically nonlinear elastodynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures are established systematically,which can fully charac- terize the initial-boundary-value problem of this kind of dynamics.An important in- tegral relation is made,which can be considered as the generalized principle of virtual work for geometrically nonlinear dynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures in mechan- ics.Based on such relationship,it is possible not only to obtain the principle of virtual work for geometrically nonlinear dynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures,but also to derive systematically the complementary functionais for five-field,four-field,three-field and two-field unconventional Hamilton-type variational principles,and the functional for the unconventional Hamilton-type variational principle in phase space and the poten- tial energy functional for one-field unconventional Hamilton-type variational principle for geometrically nonlinear elastodynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures by the general- ized Legendre transformation given in this paper.Furthermore,the intrinsic relationship among various principles can be explained clearly with this approach.  相似文献

We show that finite amplitude shearing motions superimposed on an unsteady simple extension are admissible in any incompressible isotropic elastic material. We show that the determining equations for these shearing motions admit a general reduction to a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) in the remarkable case of generalized circularly polarized transverse waves. When these waves are standing and the underlying unsteady simple extension is composed of a harmonic perturbation of a static stretch it is possible to reduce the determining ODEs to linear or non-linear Mathieu equations. We use this property for a detailed study of the phenomenon of parametric resonance in non-linear elastodynamics.  相似文献

In this paper we prove the global existence and exponential stability of solutions to thermoelastic equations of hyperbolic type provided that the initial data are close to the equilibrium and the relaxation kernel is strongly positive definite and decays exponentially. This paper presents a theoretical solution for the basic equation of axisymmetric problems in elastodynamics. The solution is composed of a quasi-static solution which satisfies inhomogeneous boundary conditions and a dynamic solution which satisfies homogeneous boundary conditions. After the quasi-static solution has been obtained an inhomogeneous equation for dynamic solution is found from the basic equation. By making use of eigenvalue problem of a corresponding homogeneous equation, a finite Hankel transform is defined. A dynamic solution satisfying homogeneous boundary conditions is obtained by means of the finite Hankel transform and Laplace transform. Thus, an exact solution is obtained. Through an example of hollow cylinders under dynamic load, it is seen that the method, and the process of computing are simple, effective and accurate.  相似文献

A new approach is proposed for the systematic derivation of varïous variational principles in linear elastodynamics. Based on an important integral relation in terms of convolutions given by the authors, the new approach can be used to derive the complementary functionals for the five-field, four-field, three-field, two-field and one-field variational principles more simply and directly. Furthermore, with this approach, it is possible not only to derive the variational principles given by Herrera and Bielak, Oden and Reddy, but also to develop new more general variational principles. The paper addresses an important issue of cloaking transformations for fourth-order partial differential equations representing flexural waves in thin elastic plates. It is shown that, in contrast with the Helmholtz equation, the general form of the partial differential equation is not invariant with respect to the cloaking transformation. The significant result of this paper is the analysis of the transformed equation and its interpretation in the framework of the linear theory of pre-stressed plates. The paper provides a formal framework for transformation elastodynamics as applied to elastic plates. Furthermore, an algorithm is proposed for designing a broadband square cloak for flexural waves, which employs a regularised push-out transformation. Illustrative numerical examples show high accuracy and efficiency of the proposed cloaking algorithm. In particular, a physical configuration involving a perturbation of an interference pattern generated by two coherent sources is presented. It is demonstrated that the perturbation produced by a cloaked defect is negligibly small even for such a delicate interference pattern.  相似文献

Summary Laplace transform with respect to time is applied to the boundary-initial-value problem of linear elastodynamics in order to produce a simpler elliptic boundary-value problem. Existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the latter problem are proved.

The equations of micropolar elastodynamics are considered for an unbounded continuum subjected to a body force and a body couple. These act harmonically with the same real frequency , but with individual arbitrary spatial distributions. Over a harmonic state, the displacement and microrotation are related to two radiation conditioned harmonic vectors, each acquiring three eigenvalue contributions, assuming a noncritical -frequency. Altogether, four distinct eigenvalues are admissible. If 2<22 0, 0 being a frequency parameter of the continuum, two of these are real while two are purely imaginary. But if 2<22 0, then all admissible eigenvalues are real. Each eigenvalue contribution resolves into a series of Hankel and Bessel functions coupled to Hankel type transforms of: (i) spherical integrals which, in turn, can be expanded via spherical harmonics for the 3-dimensional problem, (ii) circular integrals for the 2-dimensional problem. Axisymmetric and spherically symmetric results are deduced in 3-dimensions. Asymptotic solutions are also established; they disclose long-range formation of radially attenuated spherical (or circular) waves propagating with, generally, anisotropic amplitudes but, invariably, isotropic eikonals.If, in the absence of a body couple, a body force acts radially in 3-dimensions with a spherically symmetric strength, then the elastic displacement behaves likewise while the microrotation vanishes identically. Another application is made to a 2-dimensional problem for a 1 × 3 source system of body force plus body couple without longitudinal variation but with magnitudes symmetric about a longitudinal axis.As approaches a certain critical frequency , dependent solely on the continuum, at least two eigenvalues approach the same value. The phenomenon is explored for a continuum consistent with 2<22 0 and under the hypothesis 2<22 0. All admissible eigenvalues are then real throughout an -neighbourhood of . Here, two associated eigenvalue contributions behave singularly. Nevertheless, their essential singularities cancel out within the relevant combination. Examination of a far-field suggests that critical frequency attainment sets off a slow instability in the 2-dimensional configuration. In the 3-dimensional configuration, however, it preserves stability and eliminates radial attenuation; an exact solution is formulated for this case.  相似文献
