With the aid of Mathematica and Wu-elimination method,via using a new generalizedansatz and well-known Riccati equation,thirty-two families of explicit and exact solutions forthe generalized combined KdV and mKdV equation are obtained,which contain new solitarywave solutions and periodic wave solutions. This approach can also be applied to other nonlinearevolution equations.

Positive solutions to a class of second order differential equations with singular nonlinearities

A class of second order quasilinear differential equations with singular nonlinearities is considered. The set of all possible solutions defined on a positive half-line [a,∞) is classified into six types according to their aymptotic behavior as t→∞, and sharp conditions are established for the existence of solutions belonging to each of the classified types.     

New kinds of solitons and periodic solutions to the generalized KdV equation

In this work, the sine‐cosine method, the tanh method, and specific schemes that involve hyperbolic functions are used to study solitons and periodic solutions governed by the generalized KdV equation. Irrational rotation numbers and unboundedness of solutions of the second order differential equations with asymmetric nonlinearities

In this paper, we study the dynamics of the mappings

where is a irrational rotation number. We prove the existence of orbits that go to infinity in the future or in the past by using the well-known Birkhoff Ergodic Theorem. Applying this conclusion, we deal with the unboundedness of solutions of Liénard equations with asymmetric nonlinearities.
