Loewner chains associated with the generalized Roper-Suffridge extension operator

In this paper, we introduce two classes of generalized Roper-Suffridge extension operators and prove that they can be embedded in Loewner chains. In particular, our proof shows that these two classes of operators preserve starlikeness and spirallikeness of type α on two important classes of Reinhardt domains in Cn, respectively. Finally, some other related results are given.

On the precise growth, covering, and distortion theorems for normalized biholomorphic mappings

In this paper, we consider a normalized biholomorphic mapping f(x) defined on the unit ball in a complex Banach space, where the origin 0 is a zero of order k+1 of f(x)−x. The precise growth and covering theorem for f(x) is obtained when f(x) is a starlike mapping or a starlike mapping of order α. Especially, the precise growth and covering theorem for f(x) is also established when f(x) is a quasi-convex mapping. Moreover, the precise distortion theorem for f(x) is given when f(x) is a convex mapping. Our result includes many known results.     

The estimates of all homogeneous expansions for a subclass of biholomorphic mappings which have parametric representation in several complex variables

In this paper, we obtain the estimates of all homogeneous expansions for a subclass of biholomorphic mappings which have parametric representation on the unit ball of complex Banach spaces.Meanwhile, we also establish the estimates of all homogeneous expansions for the above generalized mappings on the unit polydisk in C~n. Especially, the above estimates are only sharp for biholomorphic starlike mappings and starlike mappings of order α under restricted conditions. Our derived results generalize many known results.

Fekete and Szegö problem for a subclass of quasi-convex mappings in several complex variables

Let K be the familiar class of normalized convex functions in the unit disk. Keogh and Merkes proved the well-known result that max?f∈K|a3−λa22|≤max?{1/3,|λ−1|},λ∈?, and the estimate is sharp for each λ. We investigate the corresponding problem for a subclass of quasi-convex mappings of type B defined on the unit ball in a complex Banach space or on the unit polydisk in ?n. The proofs of these results use some restrictive assumptions, which in the case of one complex variable are automatically satisfied.     

Convergence theorems of shrinking projection methods for equilibrium problem, variational inequality problem and a finite family of relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings

We introduce a W-mapping for a finite family of relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings and construct an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the solution set of equilibrium problem, the solution set of the variational inequality problem for an inverse-strongly-monotone operator and set of common fixed points of a finite family of relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence theorems are presented in a 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space. Our results generalize and extend relative results.     

Fixed point set of semigroups of non-expansive mappings and amenability

In this paper, we study the fixed point set of a strongly continuous non-expansive semigroup of a semi-topological semigroup S for which CB(S) is n-extremely left amenable. Also, we study the fixed point set of a strongly continuous semigroup of mappings when S is a semigroup which is a sub-semigroup of a locally convex topological vector space with addition. Some applications to harmonic analysis are also provided.     

Properties of convergence for the q-Meyer-König and Zeller operators

In this paper, we discuss properties of convergence for the q-Meyer-König and Zeller operators Mn,q. Based on an explicit expression for Mn,q(t²,x) in terms of q-hypergeometric series, we show that for qn∈(0,1], the sequence (Mn,qn(f))_n?1 converges to f uniformly on [0,1] for each f∈C[0,1] if and only if limn→∞qn=1. For fixed q∈(0,1), we prove that the sequence (Mn,q(f)) converges for each f∈C[0,1] and obtain the estimates for the rate of convergence of (Mn,q(f)) by the modulus of continuity of f, and the estimates are sharp in the sense of order for Lipschitz continuous functions. We also give explicit formulas of Voronovskaya type for the q-Meyer-König and Zeller operators for fixed 0<q<1. If 0<q<1, f∈C¹[0,1], we show that the rate of convergence for the Meyer-König and Zeller operators is o(qn) if and only if

     

IFS on a metric space with a graph structure and extensions of the Kelisky-Rivlin theorem

We develop the Hutchinson-Barnsley theory for finite families of mappings on a metric space endowed with a directed graph. In particular, our results subsume a classical theorem of J.E. Hutchinson [J.E. Hutchinson, Fractals and self-similarity, Indiana Univ. Math. J. 30 (1981) 713-747] on the existence of an invariant set for an iterated function system of Banach contractions, and a theorem of L. Máté [L. Máté, The Hutchinson-Barnsley theory for certain non-contraction mappings, Period. Math. Hungar. 27 (1993) 21-33] concerning finite families of locally uniformly contractions introduced by Edelstein. Also, they generalize recent fixed point theorems of A.C.M. Ran and M.C.B. Reurings [A.C.M. Ran, M.C.B. Reurings, A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443], J.J. Nieto and R. Rodríguez-López [J.J. Nieto, R. Rodríguez-López, Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239; J.J. Nieto, R. Rodríguez-López, Existence and uniqueness of fixed point in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 23 (2007) 2205-2212], and A. Petru?el and I.A. Rus [A. Petru?el, I.A. Rus, Fixed point theorems in ordered L-spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 134 (2006) 411-418] for contractive mappings on an ordered metric space. As an application, we obtain a theorem on the convergence of infinite products of linear operators on an arbitrary Banach space. This result yields new generalizations of the Kelisky-Rivlin theorem on iterates of the Bernstein operators on the space C[0,1] as well as its extensions given recently by H. Oruç and N. Tuncer [H. Oruç, N. Tuncer, On the convergence and iterates of q-Bernstein polynomials, J. Approx. Theory 117 (2002) 301-313], and H. Gonska and P. Pi?ul [H. Gonska, P. Pi?ul, Remarks on an article of J.P. King, Comment. Math. Univ. Carolin. 46 (2005) 645-652].     

The decomposition theorem for the family of complete quasi-convex mappings

In this paper, we will give a decomposition theorem for some type of holomorphic mappings. This result is the generalization of many known results.     

Biholomorphic mappings on bounded starlike circular domains

Let Ω⊂Cn be a bounded starlike circular domain with 0∈Ω. In this paper, we introduce a class of holomorphic mappings Mg on Ω. Let f(z) be a normalized locally biholomorphic mapping on Ω such that and z=0 is the zero of order k+1 of f(z)−z. We obtain a sharp growth theorem and sharp coefficient bounds for f(z). As applications, sharp distortion theorems for a subclass of starlike mappings are obtained. These results unify and generalize many known results.
