Let X(i,n,m,k), i=1,…,n, be generalized order statistics based on F. For fixed rN, and a suitable counting process N(t), t>0, we mainly discuss the precise asymptotic of the generalized stochastic order statistics X(N(n)−r+1,N(n),m,k). It not only makes the results of Yan, Wang and Cheng [J.G. Yan, Y.B. Wang, F.Y. Cheng, Precise asymptotics for order statistics of a non-random sample and a random sample, J. Systems Sci. Math. Sci. 26 (2) (2006) 237-244] as the special case of our result, and presents many groups of weighted functions and boundary functions, but also permits a unified approach to several models of ordered random variables.  相似文献

In 1983, Patterson and Wiedemann constructed Boolean functions on n=15 input variables having nonlinearity strictly greater than 2n-1-2(n-1)/2. Construction of Boolean functions on odd number of variables with such high nonlinearity was not known earlier and also till date no other construction method of such functions are known. We note that the Patterson-Wiedemann construction can be understood in terms of interleaved sequences as introduced by Gong in 1995 and subsequently these functions can be described as repetitions of a particular binary string. As example we elaborate the cases for n=15,21. Under this framework, we map the problem of finding Patterson-Wiedemann functions into a problem of solving a system of linear inequalities over the set of integers and provide proper reasoning about the choice of the orbits. This, in turn, reduces the search space. Similar analysis also reduces the complexity of calculating autocorrelation and generalized nonlinearity for such functions. In an attempt to understand the above construction from the group theoretic view point, we characterize the group of all GF(2)-linear transformations of GF(2ab) which acts on PG(2,2a).  相似文献

Let r, k be positive integers, s(<r), a nonnegative integer, and n=2r-s+k. The set of r-subsets of [n]={1,2,…,n} is denoted by [n]r. The generalized Kneser graph K(n,r,s) is the graph whose vertex-set is [n]r where two r-subsets A and B are joined by an edge if |AB|?s. This note determines the diameter of generalized Kneser graphs. More precisely, the diameter of K(n,r,s) is equal to , which generalizes a result of Valencia-Pabon and Vera [On the diameter of Kneser graphs, Discrete Math. 305 (2005) 383-385].  相似文献

In this paper, we study the quotient of hypergeometric functions μ_a(r) in the theory of Ramanujan's generalized modular equation for a ∈(0, 1/2]. Rubio’s mappings between the Thomson and Darboux cubics are generalized for pairs of cubics of the form p α(β 2?γ 2)+ q β(γ 2?α 2)+ r γ(α 2 ? β 2) = 0, where p, r, q, α, β, γ are functions of a triple (a, b, c) of variables or indeterminates. Methods include symbolic substitutions, such as (a, b, c) → (bc, ca, ab). Connections between the generalized Rubio mappings with generalized Cundy–Parry mappings are described.  相似文献

We find sufficient conditions for log-convexity and log-concavity for the functions of the forms a?∑fkk(a)xk, a?∑fkΓ(a+k)xk and a?∑fkxk/k(a). The most useful examples of such functions are generalized hypergeometric functions. In particular, we generalize the Turán inequality for the confluent hypergeometric function recently proved by Barnard, Gordy and Richards and log-convexity results for the same function recently proved by Baricz. Besides, we establish a reverse inequality which complements naturally the inequality of Barnard, Gordy and Richards. Similar results are established for the Gauss and the generalized hypergeometric functions. A conjecture about monotonicity of a quotient of products of confluent hypergeometric functions is made.  相似文献

We find necessary and sufficient conditions for a Banach space operator T to satisfy the generalized Browder's theorem. We also prove that the spectral mapping theorem holds for the Drazin spectrum and for analytic functions on an open neighborhood of σ(T). As applications, we show that if T is algebraically M-hyponormal, or if T is algebraically paranormal, then the generalized Weyl's theorem holds for f(T), where fH((T)), the space of functions analytic on an open neighborhood of σ(T). We also show that if T is reduced by each of its eigenspaces, then the generalized Browder's theorem holds for f(T), for each fH(σ(T)).  相似文献

A Banach space operator TB(X) is hereditarily polaroid, THP, if every part of T is polaroid. HP operators have SVEP. It is proved that if TB(X) has SVEP and RB(X) is a Riesz operator which commutes with T, then T+R satisfies generalized a-Browder's theorem. If, in particular, R is a quasi-nilpotent operator Q, then both T+Q and T+Q satisfy generalized a-Browder's theorem; furthermore, if Q is injective, then also T+Q satisfies Weyl's theorem. If AB(X) is an algebraic operator which commutes with the polynomially HP operator T, then T+N is polaroid and has SVEP, f(T+N) satisfies generalized Weyl's theorem for every function f which is analytic on a neighbourhood of σ(T+N), and f(T+N) satisfies generalized a-Weyl's theorem for every function f which is analytic on, and constant on no component of, a neighbourhood of σ(T+N).  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the connection between the asymptotic relations of subordination and the negligence with the generalized inverse function in the class of all nondecreasing and unbounded functions, which are defined on a half-axis [a,+∞)(a>0). Turán-type inequalities for combinations of Kummer functions involving Φ(a±ν,c±ν,x) and Φ(a,c±ν,x) have been recently investigated in [Á. Baricz, Functional inequalities involving Bessel and modified Bessel functions of the first kind, Expo. Math. 26 (3) (2008) 279-293; M.E.H. Ismail, A. Laforgia, Monotonicity properties of determinants of special functions, Constr. Approx. 26 (2007) 1-9]. In the current paper, we resolve the corresponding Turán-type and closely related mean inequalities for the additional case involving Φ(a±ν,c,x). The Do?ev-Grosswald asymptotic series for the generalized Bessel polynomials yn(z; a, b) is extended to O(1/n4) relative accuracy. The differential equation of the asymptotic factor, derived from the differential equation for yn(z; a, b), is the basis of a different and easier method that employs simple recurrence relations and much less algebra for obtaining the same series. This is applied to the important special case of a = 1 to obtain the asymptotic series to O(1/n11) relative accuracy.  相似文献

A ring R is called “left generalized morphic” if for every element a in R, there exists b ∈ R such that l(a)? R/Rb, where l(a) denotes the left annihilator of a in R. The aim of this article is to investigate these rings. Several examples are given. They include left morphic rings and left p.p. rings. A generalized Nevanlinna function Q(z) with one negative square has precisely one generalized zero of nonpositive type in the closed extended upper halfplane. The fractional linear transformation defined by Qτ(z)=(Q(z)−τ)/(1+τQ(z)), τR∪{∞}, is a generalized Nevanlinna function with one negative square. Its generalized zero of nonpositive type α(τ) as a function of τ defines a path in the closed upper halfplane. Various properties of this path are studied in detail.  相似文献
