Let fn be the non-parametric kernel density estimator of directional data based on a kernel function K and a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables taking values in d-dimensional unit sphere Sd-1. It is proved that if the kernel function is a function with bounded variation and the density function f of the random variables is continuous, then large deviation principle and moderate deviation principle for {sup x∈sd-1 |fn(x) - E(fn(x))|, n ≥ 1} hold.  相似文献

As early as in 1990, Professor Sun Yongsheng, suggested his students at Beijing Normal University to consider research problems on the unit sphere. Under his guidance and encouragement his students started the research on spherical harmonic analysis and approximation. In this paper, we incompletely introduce the main achievements in this area obtained by our group and relative researchers during recent 5 years (2001-2005). The main topics are: convergence of Cesaro summability, a.e. and strong summability of Fourier-Laplace series; smoothness and K-functionals; Kolmogorov and linear widths.  相似文献

In this paper, the uniqueness of algebroidal functions in the unit disc is investigated. Suppose that W(z) and M(z) are v-valued and k-valued algebroidal functions in the unit disc, respectively. Let e^iθ be a b-cluster point of order co or order ρ(x) of the algebroidal function W(z) or M(z). It is shown that if -↑E(aj, W(z)) = -↑E(aj,M(z)) holds in the domain {|z| 〈 1}∩Ω(θ-δ,θ+δ), where b, aj (j = 1,…, 2v + 2k + 1) are complex constants, then W(z) = M(z). The same results are obtained for the case that e^iθ is a Borel point of order co or order ρ(x) of the algebroidal function W(z) or M(z).  相似文献

It is well known in the literature that the logarithmic means 1/logn ^n-1∑k=1 Sk(f)/k of Walsh or trigonometric Fourier series converge a.e. to the function for each integrable function on the unit interval. This is not the case if we take the partial sums. In this paper we prove that the behavior of the so-called NSrlund logarithmic means 1/logn ^n-1∑k=1 Sk(f)/n-k is closer to the properties of partial sums in this point of view.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the global existence and the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the following nonlinear evolution equations with ellipticity and dissipative effects: {ψt=-(1-α)ψ-θx+αψxx, θt=-(1-α)θ+νψx+(ψθ)x+αθxx(E) with initial data (ψ,θ)(x,0)=(ψ0(x),θ0(x))→(ψ±,θ±)as x→±∞ where α and ν are positive constants such that α 〈 1, ν 〈 4α(1 - α). Under the assumption that |ψ+ - ψ-| + |θ+ - θ-| is sufficiently small, we show the global existence of the solutions to Cauchy problem (E) and (I) if the initial data is a small perturbation. And the decay rates of the solutions with exponential rates also are obtained. The analysis is based on the energy method.  相似文献

In this paper,we study the extension of isometries between the unit spheres of some Banach spaces E and the spaces C(Ω). We obtain that if the set sm.S1(E) of all smooth points of the unit sphere S1(E) is dense in S1(E),then under some condition,every surjective isometry V0 from S1(E) onto S1(C(Ω)) can be extended to be a real linearly isometric map V of E onto C(Ω).From this resultwe also obtain some corollaries. This is the first time we study this problem on different typical spaces,and the method of proof is also very different too.  相似文献

  A theorem from the classical complex analysis proved by Davydov in 1949 is extended to the theory of solution of a special case of the Beltrami equation in the z-complex plane (i.e., null solutions of the differential operator ). We will show in this paper that if A is very close to 1, then I(M,λ,m) =supu∈H0^1,n(m),∫m|△↓u|^ndV=1∫Ω(e^αn|u|^n/(n-1)-λm∑k=1|αnun/(n-1)|k/k!)dV can be attained, where M is a compact-manifold with boundary. This result gives a counter-example to the conjecture of de Figueiredo and Ruf in their paper titled "On an inequality by Trudinger and Moser and related elliptic equations" (Comm. Pure. Appl.
