若干Banach空间及有界凸域上的凸映射

本文研究了一类Ｂａｎａｃｈ空间上凸映射的性质。找出了一类Ｂａｎａｃｈ空间上单位球上凸映射的特征，并利用这些结果研究了一类有界凸域上的所有凸映射．     

Convex functions, subdifferentiability and renormings

This paper through discussing subdifferentiability and convexity of convex functions shows that a Banach space admits an equivalent uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex norm if and only if there exists a continuous uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex function on some nonempty open convex subset of the space and presents some characterizations of super-reflexive Banach spaces. Polynomial Approximation on Convex Subsets of R n

Let K be a closed bounded convex subset of R ⁿ ; then by a result of the first author, which extends a classical theorem of Whitney there is a constant w _m (K) so that for every continuous function f on K there is a polynomial ϕ of degree at most m-1 so that |f(x)-ϕ(x)|≤ w_m(K) sup _{x,x+mh∈ K} |Δ_h^m(f;x)|. The aim of this paper is to study the constant w _m (K) in terms of the dimension n and the geometry of K . For example, we show that w ₂ (K)≤ (1/2) [ log ₂ n]+5/4 and that for suitable K this bound is almost attained. We place special emphasis on the case when K is symmetric and so can be identified as the unit ball of finite-dimensional Banach space; then there are connections between the behavior of w _m (K) and the geometry (particularly the Rademacher type) of the underlying Banach space. It is shown, for example, that if K is an ellipsoid then w ₂ (K) is bounded, independent of dimension, and w ₃ (K)\sim log n . We also give estimates for w ₂ and w ₃ for the unit ball of the spaces l _p ⁿ where 1≤ p≤∈fty. September 24, 1997. Dates revised: January 18, 1999 and June 10, 1999. Banach Lattices on Which Every Power-Bounded Operator is Mean Ergodic

Given a Banach lattice E that fails to be countably order complete, we construct a positive compact operator A: E E for which T = I - A is power-bounded and not mean ergodic. As a consequence, by using the theorem of R. Zaharopol, we obtain that if every power-bounded operator in a Banach lattice is mean ergodic then the Banach lattice is reflexive.

This paper shows that the product of a Gâteaux differentiability space and a separable Banach space is again a Gâteaux differentiability space.

     

Mean inequalities in certain Banach function spaces

Boundedness of the Hardy operator and its adjoint is characterized between Banach function spaces Xq and Lp. By applying a limiting procedure, corresponding boundedness of the geometric mean operator is also derived.     

w-Frchet可微性质和Radon-Nikod(?)m性质以及w-Asplund空间

我们称定义在一个Banach空间的对偶空间上的广义实值w*-下半连续凸函数f具有w*-Frechet可微性质(w*-FDP),如果对于该对偶空间上的每个w*-下半连续的广义实值凸函数g,只要g≤f,就有g在intdom g的某个稠密的Gδ-子集上处处Frechet可微.本文用集合的Radon-Nikodym性质刻划了该种函数的特征.作为它的一个直接推论,给出了局部化的Collier定理.     

关于Banach空间中凸泛函的广义次梯度不等式

本文在前人^[1,2]的基础之上，以凸泛函的次梯度不等式为工具，将Jensen不等式推广到Banach空间中的凸泛函，导出了Banach空间中的Bochner积分型的广义Jensen不等式，给出其在Banach空间概率论中某些应用，从而推广了文献[3—6]的工作．     

The Extragradient Method for Convex Optimization in the Presence of Computational Errors

In this article, we study convergence of the extragradient method for constrained convex minimization problems in a Hilbert space. Our goal is to obtain an ε-approximate solution of the problem in the presence of computational errors, where ε is a given positive number. Most results known in the literature establish convergence of optimization algorithms, when computational errors are summable. In this article, the convergence of the extragradient method for solving convex minimization problems is established for nonsummable computational errors. We show that the the extragradient method generates a good approximate solution, if the sequence of computational errors is bounded from above by a constant.

Orders on Subsets Rationalised by Abstract Convex Geometries

We find conditions on the order on subsets of a finite set which are necessary and sufficient for the relative ranking of any two subsets in this order to be determined by their extreme elements relative to an abstract convex geometry. It turns out that this question is closely related to the rationalisability of path independent choice functions by hyper-relations.      

凸规划的极大熵函数序列及其收敛性

为了消除凸规划问题中极大熵方法所导致的数值病态，该文应用Lagrange乘子法及赋范原理，给出一类凸规划问题的极大熵函数序列，并证明该序列一致收敛于凸规划的最优解。     

The Projected Subgradient Method for Nonsmooth Convex Optimization in the Presence of Computational Errors

We study the convergence of the projected subgradient method for constrained convex optimization in a Hilbert space. Our goal is to obtain an ε-approximate solution of the problem in the presence of computational errors, where ε is a given positive number. The results that we obtain are important in practice because computations always introduce numerical errors.
