将光纤光栅的傅里叶模式耦合理论应用于光纤布拉格光栅型全光纤声光调制器的理论分析中. 与现有的分析方法相比, 该模型算法简单、 求解容易, 能够快速有效地获得调制器的传输特性. 基于该模型, 理论分析了超声波频率及声致应变幅度对调制器特性的影响. 仿真结果表明, 该调制器反射谱的主反射峰与次反射峰的波长间隔与超声波频率成正比, 反射峰的反射率随着声致应变幅度的改变而发生周期性的变化. 另外, 在同一声致应变幅度下, 低频超声波调制的光栅反射中存在更多的次反射, 光栅反射能量的周期性变化更加明显. 实验中, 使用频率为885.5 kHz的超声波对光纤布拉格光栅进行调制. 实验结果与仿真结果相一致.  相似文献

从耦合模方程出发,用一种矩阵方法分析了折射率调制深度误差对切趾啁啾布拉格光纤光栅传输特性的影响.结果表明:折射率调制深度误差的分布频率越高,光栅传输特性受到的危害越小;误差平均幅值越高,光栅传输特性的劣化程度越大.因此,在光栅的制作过程中,应注意避免和减小高幅值误差,并注意减少低空间频率分布的误差.  相似文献

The amplitude and phase of a light wave propagating in an apodized and chirped Bragg grating is given by the superposition of two orthogonal coupled wave functions that are the solution of a non-linear Riccati equation. An analytical solution, in the form of an integral transform, that predicts the amplitude, phase, and intensity profile of the light diffracted by grating, in which the local Bragg wavelength is asymmetric, and the forward and counter propagating modes are non-degenerate is presented. For even apodization and odd chirp the lineshape has an asymmetrical Gaussian form the result of mixing of the real and imaginary components of the apodized grating wave function. The effect of chirping is to shift the resonance wavelength, increase the grating bandwidth and polarization mode dispersion. The dependence of linewidth and dispersion on parameters that alter apodization and chirp after fabrication, is also discussed.  相似文献

Within the Schwinger-Keldysh formalism we derive a Ginzburg-Landau theory for the Bose-Hubbard model which describes the real-time dynamics of the complex order parameter field. Analyzing the excitations in the vicinity of the quantum phase transitions it turns out that particle/hole dispersions in the Mott phase map continuously onto corresponding amplitude/phase excitations in the superfluid phase. Furthermore, in the superfluid phase we find a sound mode, which is in accordance with recent Bragg spectroscopy measurements in the Bogoliubov regime, as well as an additional gapped mode, which seems to have been detected via lattice modulation.  相似文献

理论分析和模拟计算了少模光纤布拉格光栅基模及高阶模的耦合与传输特性,得到在相同外部折射率变化情况下,少模光纤基模与高阶模耦合对应的布拉格波长变化,比正、反向基模之间耦合对应的布拉格波长变化显著增大.实验上制作了少模光纤布拉格光栅,测量了基模之间以及基模与高阶模之间对应的布拉格波长随外部折射率、温度变化的情况,得到与理论分析相符的结果.而对于温度变化对折射率测量结果干扰的问题,提出了通过计算布拉格波长差来克服温度影响的方法.这些结果为采用布拉格光纤光栅测量外部折射率变化提供了一种新的途径.  相似文献

The one-dimensional problem of plane EM wave interaction with strongly nonlinear sinusoidal Bragg gratings is exactly solved using the new Method of Single Expression (MSE). The basic point of the method is the presentation of the electrical field in the modulated medium (Bragg grating) in the form of a single expression, contrary to the traditional counter-propagating waves approach. The spectral characteristics of linear Bragg gratings of different length are presented. The influence of loss or gain on the spectral characteristics of Bragg gratings is considered. The electrical field amplitude distributions along a grating at the wavelengths corresponding to the minima and maxima of reflectivity in the vicinity of the Bragg resonance are illustrated. Bistable and multistable dependences of reflectivity on the incident electrical field amplitude are obtained for negative and positive nonlinearities.  相似文献

A single-mode fiber laser based on an intracavity core-cladding mode conversion is demonstrated. The fiber laser consists of an Er-doped active fiber and two fiber Bragg gratings. One Bragg grating is a core-cladding mode converter, and the other Bragg grating is a narrowband high reflector that selects the lasing wavelength. Coupling a single core mode and a single cladding mode by the grating mode converter, the laser operates as a hybrid single-mode laser. This approach for designing a laser cavity provides a much larger mode area than conventional large-mode-area step-index fibers.  相似文献

π相移光纤光栅用于水中超声传感时,超声波沿光纤轴向入射和垂直光纤入射时的传感波形及幅度显著不同。针对这一现象,本文建立了基于光学传递矩阵的光纤光栅声传感理论模型,计算了超声波分别沿轴向和沿垂直方向入射时π相移光纤光栅中的非均匀应变场分布,进而分析了光谱偏移,揭示了两种入射角度下π相移光纤光栅的传感特性与声传播导致的应变场分布相关,并通过实验进行了验证。结果表明,两种入射角度产生的不同的非均匀应变场分布对π相移光纤光栅的传感特性影响明显。超声波垂直入射时的传感波形和幅度均优于轴向入射,且π相移处对传感有显著作用。当入射位置远离π相移处时,垂直入射的响应也明显降低。本研究可为π相移光纤光栅超声传感的机理分析提供参考。  相似文献

Abstract

This study proposed and demonstrated a fiber Bragg grating sensor for simultaneous detection of the temperature and refractive index of a liquid. The fiber Bragg grating is composed of three index layers: an inner core, an outer core, and a cladding. The cladding was etched for evanescent wave coupling between the outer core mode and an external liquid. The Bragg wavelength of the inner core mode is used for obtaining temperature data, while the refractive index for the liquid was determined by using the difference between the Bragg wavelength of the inner core mode and that of outer core mode.  相似文献

将正确的光纤中的正交关系应用于微扰耦合模理论得到了光纤中的微扰耦合模方程;并将其应用于光纤布拉格光栅,得到了一种新耦合模方程。该方程中作为标志性特性的耦合系数与其它理论中的耦合系数都不相同。讨论了方程的解,得到了峰值反射率与布拉格波长、光栅长度之间的简单关系式。用光纤布拉格光栅进行了实验,理论和实验结果符合得很好。  相似文献

比较了光纤布拉格光栅法布里一珀罗腔的极限法、平衡法及传输矩阵法3种算法,证明了它们是一致的,指出了光纤布拉格光栅复振幅传输矩阵的相移特性对法布里一珀罗腔透射率的影响.对计算任意折射率调制的光纤布拉格光栅的Rouard算法进行了改进,在分层方法中考虑了折射率分布初始相位的影响,获得了更为准确的反射复振幅相位特性,将该结果应用于计算光纤布拉格光栅法布里一珀罗腔,得到了光纤布拉格光栅法布里一珀罗腔具有多峰结构的透射谱,并经过实验验证了该理论的正确性.  相似文献

研究了含负折射率介质一维光子晶体非线性Bragg腔的透射特性、光学增强和双稳态特性.对负折射率介质无色散和有色散非线性Bragg腔及由两种正折射率介质构成的非线性Bragg腔的透射谱、光学增强、缺陷模的线宽、入射光的红移量、双稳态开关阈值进行了比较.含负折射率介质的非线性Bragg腔可显著增大腔内光学增强效应,降低缺陷模的线宽、入射光的红移量和双稳态开关阈值.  相似文献

In this work, we propose a configuration of a hybrid fiber Bragg grating together with a long period grating sensor used for simultaneously detect surrounding refractive index and temperature to be applied in aqueous environment and to reveal pollution. We present the simulation of such sensor and analyze the reflected wavelength and amplitude variations of the fiber Bragg grating spectrum to obtain the temperature and the external refractive index variations, respectively. The results show that the fiber Bragg grating reflected amplitude change depends on the variation of the long period grating transmission spectrum with the surrounding refractive index modification and the reflected wavelength shift depends on the temperature of the aqueous solution.  相似文献

By means of a zigzag-wave model, we perform a comprehensive analysis of the guided modes of a photonic bandgap slab waveguide that consists of a low-index guiding layer placed between two different Bragg reflectors. We show that the guided modes of the waveguide operate inside the overlapped bandgaps of the two Bragg reflectors. We label each mode with three mode orders, which reflect the features of the mode-field distribution in the guiding layer and the two Bragg reflectors, respectively. We discuss in detail the transmission characteristics of the guided modes, including the dispersion curves, the cutoff conditions, and the confinement factors, and highlight the mode-selection characteristics of the waveguide. We also study the effects of truncating the Bragg reflectors by deriving an analytical expression to show the dependence of the leakage losses of the modes on the numbers of the periods in the truncated Bragg reflectors.  相似文献

The photonic band structure, waveguiding mechanism, mode field distribution, leakage loss, and material loss of Bragg fiber are studied by the full vectorial plane wave expansion method and the transfer matrix method. Systematical study has shown the distinctive properties of Bragg fiber and the similarity between Bragg fiber and hollow metallic waveguide, demonstrating the feasibility of Bragg fiber to work in a low loss, single mode manner. Furthermore, a comparison between the band structures calculated by plane wave expansion method and by transfer matrix method is conducted to show the practicability to treat Bragg fibers electromagnetic behavior in a Bloch theorem approach, verifying the photonic bandgap concept for the analysis of Bragg fiber.  相似文献

We present a technique for liquid leak detection in which ultrasonic and optical waves are introduced into a fiber simultaneously. The system is based on an ultrasonic technique using an ultrasonic actuator and a fiber Bragg grating receiver. A fiber-guided ultrasonic wave is utilized to stress the fiber Bragg grating, which is remote from the ultrasonic transmitter. When the traveling ultrasonic wave encounters a liquid, part of the wave will leak out from the fiber, which results in an ultrasonic strain decrease in the fiber Bragg grating. The ultrasonic wave and its attenuation are detected by the light variation of a narrowband laser source reflected and transmitted from the fiber Bragg grating, and the amplitude variation of the ultrasound can eventually be correlated with the fiber area coupled with the liquid.  相似文献

针对飞行器机载环境多参量综合测试需求,研究了一种基于反射光谱特征辨识的光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)气压与温度集成监测方法,给出了基于膜片式结构的双参量传感机理及其理论模型。采用基于耦合模理论的OptiGrating软件,得到不同气压与温度条件下光纤布拉格光栅传感器仿真反射光谱。在此基础上,借助弹塑性和恢复性能优良的平膜片感压机构,构建了膜片式双光纤气压/温度集成监测模型。研究表明,恒温条件下应变传感光纤光栅反射光谱随气压增加而逐渐向短波方向偏移,其中心波长灵敏度约为0.803 0 nm·MPa-1,且反射谱主峰及其旁瓣峰值均随气压变化呈现良好线性关系;当气压恒定而温度变化时,处于仅感温不受力状态的温度传感光纤光栅反射光谱中心波长灵敏度约为9.39 pm·℃-1;当气压与温度交叉变化时,能够实现对变温条件下的微小气压变化实时监测。传感光纤光栅受非均匀应变效应反射光谱存在一定啁啾现象,其反射光谱旁瓣峰值波长随环境温度、气压变化均会发生偏移,具有良好线性关系,且在不同气压下反射光谱对应的同一阶数旁瓣峰值幅度相等。该研究能够为航空航天器系统多物理参量在线综合测试提供有益帮助。  相似文献

用精密扫描掩模法写入宽阻带啁啾光纤光栅,掩模板背面两端各10%长度处镀有按4阶高斯函数透过率的膜,写入的啁啾光栅的时延纹波最大值为20ps。为减少写入光纤光栅的偏振模色散,研制了新的低偏振模色散光纤光栅补偿写入法。采用补偿写入法前的平均微分群时延为9.1406 ps;采用补偿写入法后的平均微分群时延为0.1521 ps。并利用低偏振模色散光纤光栅对40Gb/s光时分复用系统在普通G.652光纤传输122km的色散进行了补偿实验,功率代价为1.5dB。  相似文献
