A C*-symbolic dynamical system ${(\mathcal{A}, \rho, \Sigma)}A C*-symbolic dynamical system (A, r, S){(\mathcal{A}, \rho, \Sigma)} consists of a unital C*-algebra A{\mathcal{A}} and a finite family { ra }a ? S{\{ \rho_\alpha \}_{\alpha \in \Sigma}} of endomorphisms ρ α of A{\mathcal{A}} indexed by symbols α of Σ satisfying some conditions. The endomorphisms ra, a ? S{\rho_\alpha, \alpha \in \Sigma } yield both a subshift Λ and a C*-algebra of a Hilbert C*-bimodule. The obtained C*-algebra is regarded as a crossed product of A{\mathcal{A}} by the subshift Λ. We will study simplicity condition of these C*-algebras. Some examples such as irrational rotation Cuntz–Krieger algebras will be studied.  相似文献

We investigate splitting number and reaping number for the structure (ω) ω of infinite partitions of ω. We prove that \mathfrakrdnon(M),non(N),\mathfrakd{\mathfrak{r}_{d}\leq\mathsf{non}(\mathcal{M}),\mathsf{non}(\mathcal{N}),\mathfrak{d}} and \mathfraksd 3 \mathfrakb{\mathfrak{s}_{d}\geq\mathfrak{b}} . We also show the consistency results ${\mathfrak{r}_{d} > \mathfrak{b}, \mathfrak{s}_{d} < \mathfrak{d}, \mathfrak{s}_{d} < \mathfrak{r}, \mathfrak{r}_{d} < \mathsf{add}(\mathcal{M})}${\mathfrak{r}_{d} > \mathfrak{b}, \mathfrak{s}_{d} < \mathfrak{d}, \mathfrak{s}_{d} < \mathfrak{r}, \mathfrak{r}_{d} < \mathsf{add}(\mathcal{M})} and ${\mathfrak{s}_{d} > \mathsf{cof}(\mathcal{M})}${\mathfrak{s}_{d} > \mathsf{cof}(\mathcal{M})} . To prove the consistency \mathfrakrd < add(M){\mathfrak{r}_{d} < \mathsf{add}(\mathcal{M})} and \mathfraksd < cof(M){\mathfrak{s}_{d} < \mathsf{cof}(\mathcal{M})} we introduce new cardinal invariants \mathfrakrpair{\mathfrak{r}_{pair}} and \mathfrakspair{\mathfrak{s}_{pair}} . We also study the relation between \mathfrakrpair, \mathfrakspair{\mathfrak{r}_{pair}, \mathfrak{s}_{pair}} and other cardinal invariants. We show that cov(M),cov(N) £ \mathfrakrpair £ \mathfraksd,\mathfrakr{\mathsf{cov}(\mathcal{M}),\mathsf{cov}(\mathcal{N})\leq\mathfrak{r}_{pair}\leq\mathfrak{s}_{d},\mathfrak{r}} and \mathfraks £ \mathfrakspairnon(M),non(N){\mathfrak{s}\leq\mathfrak{s}_{pair}\leq\mathsf{non}(\mathcal{M}),\mathsf{non}(\mathcal{N})} .  相似文献

We construct an explicit intertwining operator L{\mathcal L} between the Schr?dinger group eit \frac\triangle2{e^{it \frac\triangle2}} and the geodesic flow on certain Hilbert spaces of symbols on the cotangent bundle T*X Γ of a compact hyperbolic surface X Γ = Γ\D. We also define Γ-invariant eigendistributions of the geodesic flow PSj, k, nj,-nk{PS_{j, k, \nu_j,-\nu_k}} (Patterson-Sullivan distributions) out of pairs of \triangle{\triangle} -eigenfunctions, generalizing the diagonal case j = k treated in Anantharaman and Zelditch (Ann. Henri Poincaré 8(2):361–426, 2007). The operator L{\mathcal L} maps PSj, k, nj,-nk{PS_{j, k, \nu_j,-\nu_k}} to the Wigner distribution WGj,k{W^{\Gamma}_{j,k}} studied in quantum chaos. We define Hilbert spaces HPS{\mathcal H_{PS}} (whose dual is spanned by {PSj, k, nj,-nk{PS_{j, k, \nu_j,-\nu_k}}}), resp. HW{\mathcal H_W} (whose dual is spanned by {WGj,k}{\{W^{\Gamma}_{j,k}\}}), and show that L{\mathcal L} is a unitary isomorphism from HW ? HPS.{\mathcal H_{W} \to \mathcal H_{PS}.}  相似文献

The H-free process, for some fixed graph H, is the random graph process defined by starting with an empty graph on n vertices and then adding edges one at a time, chosen uniformly at random subject to the constraint that no H subgraph is formed. Let G be the random maximal H-free graph obtained at the end of the process. When H is strictly 2-balanced, we show that for some c>0, with high probability as n→∞, the minimum degree in G is at least cn1-(vH-2)/(eH-1)(logn)1/(eH-1)cn^{1-(v_{H}-2)/(e_{H}-1)}(\log n)^{1/(e_{H}-1)}. This gives new lower bounds for the Turán numbers of certain bipartite graphs, such as the complete bipartite graphs K r,r with r≥5. When H is a complete graph K s with s≥5 we show that for some C>0, with high probability the independence number of G is at most Cn2/(s+1)(logn)1-1/(eH-1)Cn^{2/(s+1)}(\log n)^{1-1/(e_{H}-1)}. This gives new lower bounds for Ramsey numbers R(s,t) for fixed s≥5 and t large. We also obtain new bounds for the independence number of G for other graphs H, including the case when H is a cycle. Our proofs use the differential equations method for random graph processes to analyse the evolution of the process, and give further information about the structure of the graphs obtained, including asymptotic formulae for a broad class of subgraph extension variables.  相似文献

Let ${\Gamma < {\rm SL}(2, {\mathbb Z})}Let G < SL(2, \mathbb Z){\Gamma < {\rm SL}(2, {\mathbb Z})} be a free, finitely generated Fuchsian group of the second kind with no parabolics, and fix two primitive vectors v0, w0 ? \mathbb Z2  \  {0}{v_{0}, w_{0} \in \mathbb {Z}^{2} \, {\backslash} \, \{0\}}. Assume that the critical exponent δ of Γ exceeds 0.99995, so that Γ is thin but not too thin. Using a variant of the circle method, new bilinear forms estimates and Gamburd’s 5/6-th spectral gap in infinite-volume, we show that S{\mathcal {S}} contains almost all of its admissible primes, that is, those not excluded by local (congruence) obstructions. Let F ì PG \mathcal{F} \subset {\mathcal{P}_G} be a left-invariant lower family of subsets of a group G. A subset A ⊂ G is called F \mathcal{F} -thin if xA ?yA ? F xA \cap yA \in \mathcal{F} for any distinct elements x, yG. The family of all F \mathcal{F} -thin subsets of G is denoted by t( F ) \tau \left( \mathcal{F} \right) . If t( F ) = F \tau \left( \mathcal{F} \right) = \mathcal{F} , then F \mathcal{F} is called thin-complete. The thin-completion t*( F ) {\tau^*}\left( \mathcal{F} \right) of F \mathcal{F} is the smallest thin-complete subfamily of PG {\mathcal{P}_G} that contains F \mathcal{F} . Answering questions of Lutsenko and Protasov, we prove that a set A ⊂ G belongs to τ*(G) if and only if, for any sequence (g n ) nω of nonzero elements of G, there is nω such that

We study hypersurfaces in the Lorentz-Minkowski space \mathbbLn+1{\mathbb{L}^{n+1}} whose position vector ψ satisfies the condition L k ψ = + b, where L k is the linearized operator of the (k + 1)th mean curvature of the hypersurface for a fixed k = 0, . . . , n − 1, A ? \mathbbR(n+1)×(n+1){A\in\mathbb{R}^{(n+1)\times(n+1)}} is a constant matrix and b ? \mathbbLn+1{b\in\mathbb{L}^{n+1}} is a constant vector. For every k, we prove that the only hypersurfaces satisfying that condition are hypersurfaces with zero (k + 1)th mean curvature, open pieces of totally umbilical hypersurfaces \mathbbSn1(r){\mathbb{S}^n_1(r)} or \mathbbHn(-r){\mathbb{H}^n(-r)}, and open pieces of generalized cylinders \mathbbSm1(r)×\mathbbRn-m{\mathbb{S}^m_1(r)\times\mathbb{R}^{n-m}}, \mathbbHm(-r)×\mathbbRn-m{\mathbb{H}^m(-r)\times\mathbb{R}^{n-m}}, with k + 1 ≤ m ≤ n − 1, or \mathbbLm×\mathbbSn-m(r){\mathbb{L}^m\times\mathbb{S}^{n-m}(r)}, with k + 1 ≤ nm ≤ n − 1. This completely extends to the Lorentz-Minkowski space a previous classification for hypersurfaces in \mathbbRn+1{\mathbb{R}^{n+1}} given by Alías and Gürbüz (Geom. Dedicata 121:113–127, 2006).  相似文献

Let W ì \mathbb Cd{\Omega \subset{\mathbb C}^{d}} be an irreducible bounded symmetric domain of type (r, a, b) in its Harish–Chandra realization. We study Toeplitz operators Tng{T^{\nu}_{g}} with symbol g acting on the standard weighted Bergman space Hn2{H_\nu^2} over Ω with weight ν. Under some conditions on the weights ν and ν 0 we show that there exists C(ν, ν 0) > 0, such that the Berezin transform [(g)\tilde]n0{\tilde{g}_{\nu_{0}}} of g with respect to H2n0{H^2_{\nu_0}} satisfies:

For a family A{\mathcal{A}} and a set Z, denote {A ? A \colon A ?Z 1 ?}{\{A \in \mathcal{A} \colon A \cap Z \neq \emptyset\}} by A(Z){\mathcal{A}(Z)}. For positive integers n and r, let Sn,r{\mathcal{S}_{n,r}} be the trivial compressed intersecting family {A ? (c[n]r ) \colon 1 ? A}{\{A \in \big(\begin{subarray}{c}[n]\\r \end{subarray}\big) \colon 1 \in A\}}, where [n] : = {1, ?, n}{[n] := \{1, \ldots, n\}} and (c[n]r ) : = {A ì [n] \colon |A| = r}{\big(\begin{subarray}{c}[n]\\r \end{subarray}\big) := \{A \subset [n] \colon |A| = r\}}. The following problem is considered: For rn/2, which sets Z í [n]{Z \subseteq [n]} have the property that |A(Z)| £ |Sn,r(Z)|{|\mathcal{A}(Z)| \leq |\mathcal{S}_{n,r}(Z)|} for any compressed intersecting family A ì (c[n]r ){\mathcal{A}\subset \big(\begin{subarray}{c}[n]\\r \end{subarray}\big)}? (The answer for the case 1 ? Z{1 \in Z} is given by the Erdős–Ko–Rado Theorem.) We give a complete answer for the case |Z| ≥ r and a partial answer for the much harder case |Z| < r. This paper is motivated by the observation that certain interesting results in extremal set theory can be proved by answering the question above for particular sets Z. Using our result for the special case when Z is the r-segment {2, ?, r+1}{\{2, \ldots, r+1\}}, we obtain new short proofs of two well-known Hilton–Milner theorems. At the other extreme end, by establishing that |A(Z)| £ |Sn,r(Z)|{|\mathcal{A}(Z)| \leq |\mathcal{S}_{n,r}(Z)|} when Z is a final segment, we provide a new short proof of a Holroyd–Talbot extension of the Erdős-Ko-Rado Theorem.  相似文献

Let H be a multigraph, possibly containing loops. An H-subdivision is any simple graph obtained by replacing the edges of H with paths of arbitrary length. Let H be an arbitrary multigraph of order k, size m, n 0(H) isolated vertices and n 1(H) vertices of degree one. In Gould and Whalen (Graphs Comb. 23:165–182, 2007) it was shown that if G is a simple graph of order n containing an H-subdivision H{\mathcal{H}} and d(G) 3 \fracn+m-k+n1(H)+2n0(H)2{\delta(G) \ge \frac{n+m-k+n_1(H)+2n_0(H)}{2}}, then G contains a spanning H-subdivision with the same ground set as H{\mathcal{H}} . As a corollary to this result, the authors were able to obtain Dirac’s famed theorem on hamiltonian graphs; namely that if G is a graph of order n ≥ 3 with d(G) 3 \fracn2{\delta(G)\ge\frac{n}{2}} , then G is hamiltonian. Bondy (J. Comb. Theory Ser. B 11:80–84, 1971) extended Dirac’s theorem by showing that if G satisfied the condition d(G) 3 \fracn2{\delta(G) \ge \frac{n}{2}} then G was either pancyclic or a complete bipartite graph. In this paper, we extend the result from Gould and Whalen (Graphs Comb. 23:165–182, 2007) in a similar manner. An H-subdivision H{\mathcal{H}} in G is 1-extendible if there exists an H-subdivision H*{\mathcal{H}^{*}} with the same ground set as H{\mathcal{H}} and |H*| = |H| + 1{|\mathcal{H}^{*}| = |\mathcal{H}| + 1} . If every H-subdivision in G is 1-extendible, then G is pan-H-linked. We demonstrate that if H is sufficiently dense and G is a graph of large enough order n such that d(G) 3 \fracn+m-k+n1(H)+2n0(H)2{\delta(G) \ge \frac{n+m-k+n_1(H)+2n_0(H)}{2}} , then G is pan-H-linked. This result is sharp.  相似文献

Let ( Y,d,dl )\left( {\mathcal{Y},d,d\lambda } \right) be (ℝ n , |·|, μ), where |·| is the Euclidean distance, μ is a nonnegative Radon measure on ℝ n satisfying the polynomial growth condition, or the Gauss measure metric space (ℝ n , |·|, d λ ), or the space (S, d, ρ), where S ≡ ℝ n ⋉ ℝ+ is the (ax + b)-group, d is the left-invariant Riemannian metric and ρ is the right Haar measure on S with exponential growth. In this paper, the authors introduce and establish some properties of the atomic Hardy-type spaces { Xs ( Y ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {X_s \left( \mathcal{Y} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty } and the BMO-type spaces { BMO( Y, s ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y}, s} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty }. Let H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) be the known atomic Hardy space and L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) the subspace of fL 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) with integral 0. The authors prove that the dual space of X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) is BMO( Y,s )BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y},s} \right) when s ∈ (0,∞), X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) when s ∈ (0, 1], and X ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) (or L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right)). As applications, the authors show that if T is a linear operator bounded from H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) and from L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1,∞ ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), then for all r ∈ (1,∞) and s ∈ (r,∞], T is bounded from X r ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to the Lorentz space L 1,s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), which applies to the Calderón-Zygmund operator on (ℝ n , |·|, μ), the imaginary powers of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator on (ℝ n , |·|, d γ ) and the spectral operator associated with the spectral multiplier on (S, d, ρ). All these results generalize the corresponding results of Sweezy, Abu-Shammala and Torchinsky on Euclidean spaces.  相似文献

Generalized absolute values as well as corresponding to them generalized polar decompositions of a bounded linear operator T of a Hilbert space H{\mathcal{H}} into a Hilbert space K{\mathcal{K}} are defined, motivated by the inequality |áTx, y?K|2 £ á|T|x, x?Há|T*|y, y?K{|\langle{Tx}, {y}\rangle}_{\mathcal{K}}|^2 \leq \langle|T|x, {x}\rangle_{\mathcal{H}}\langle{|T^{*}|y}, {y}\rangle_{\mathcal{K}} . It is shown that there is a natural bijection between generalized absolute values of T and of T* which sends |T| to |T*|. For a bounded nonnegative operator A on H{\mathcal{H}} and a bounded Borel function f: \mathbbR+ ? \mathbbR+{f: \mathbb{R}_+ \to \mathbb{R}_+} , equivalent conditions for A and f(|T|) to be generalized absolute values of T are established and corresponding to them generalized absolute values of T* are determined.  相似文献

We study the projection p: Md ? Bd{\pi : \mathcal{M}_d \rightarrow \mathcal{B}_d} which sends an affine conjugacy class of polynomial f : \mathbbC ? \mathbbC{f : \mathbb{C} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}} to the holomorphic conjugacy class of the restriction of f to its basin of infinity. When Bd{\mathcal{B}_d} is equipped with a dynamically natural Gromov–Hausdorff topology, the map π becomes continuous and a homeomorphism on the shift locus. Our main result is that all fibers of π are connected. Consequently, quasiconformal and topological basin-of-infinity conjugacy classes are also connected. The key ingredient in the proof is an analysis of model surfaces and model maps, branched covers between translation surfaces which model the local behavior of a polynomial.  相似文献
