The potential for probing the impacts of the left-right symmetric model (LRM) on the process e + e-→μ + μ-at a proposed Z 0-factory is investigated.Under different electron-positron polarization collision modes,we calculate and compare the deviations of various observables in the framework of the LRM from the standard model (SM) predictions,such as the total cross section,the distribution of the transverse momentum of μ-,and the forward-backward charge asymmetry of μ-.In addition,we present the relations between the observables and the LRM parameters.We conclude that it is possible to observe the effects of the LRM on the process e + e-→μ + μ-by using optimal observables and favorable parameters at a Z 0-factory.  相似文献

The topcolour-assisted technicolour (TC2) model is an interesting dynamical theory among the various new physics models. We cMculate the total tt cross section and the relative correction of the TC2 model to the cross section at Tevatron Run Ⅱ and LHC. At the Tevatron Run Ⅱ, the cross section predicted by the standard model (SM) is consistent with the experimental data, and in most parameter spaces of the TC2 model, the relative correction of the TC2 model to the cross section is too small to be detectable. We find that the tt cross section is more sensitive to the parameters of the TC2 model at the LHC and the relative correction of the TC2 model to the cross section is over 10% in general. Such a value of the relative correction should be large enough to be detectable at the LHC. Therefore, it is promising to find the clue of the TC2 model via the tt production at the LHC.  相似文献

The four-level model of laser-induced collisional energy transfer(LICET) for the ion-ion collision system is established based on the time-dependent Schro¨dinger equation for the electron dynamics,through which the equations of motion of the probability amplitudes and cross section of the collision system are obtained.Numerical calculations are performed for the Ca+-Sr+ system,with the results showing that the peak of the LICET spectrum appears at a resonant frequency of the transfer laser.The magnitude of the obtained collision cross section is in the order of 10 16 cm2,and is comparable to that obtained in atomic systems,which indicates the validity of the established four-level model.  相似文献

We investigate the possibilities of finding the effects of the littlest Higgs (LH) model on the process e + e - →μ + μ - at the leadingorder at a possible Z 0-factory.We study the impacts of the LH model on the observables,such as,the total cross section,the distribution of the transverse momentum of μ-,and the forward-backward charge asymmetry of μin polarized and unpolarized electron-positron collision modes.Besides,we analyze the relations between the observables and the LH model parameters,and discuss the observables of process e + e→μ + μ-in different incoming electron-positron polarization modes.We conclude that one could observe the effects contributed by the LH model on the process e + e-→μ + μin a reasonable parameter space,or might put more stringent constraints on the LH parameters in the future experiments at the possible Z 0-factory.  相似文献

In an experiment with the Spherical Neutral Detector at VEPP-2M collider the cross section of the process e+e-→π+π-π0π0 was measured. At energies √s < 920 MeV this cross section was measured for the first time. The energy dependence of the cross section is well discribed by the vector dominance model with contributions from ρ, ρ' ρ", mesons. The decay probability ρ→π+π-π0π0was found to be Bρ = (1.60±0.74±0.18)×10-5. The upper limit for the decay ω→π+π-π0π0 was improved by two orders of magnitude compared to the previous measurements and is Bω < 2 × 10-4 at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

Based on an extended London-Eyring-Polanyi-Sato (LEPS) potential energy surface (PES), the Ba + HF reaction has been studied by the quasi-classical trajectory (QCT) method. The reaction integral cross section as a function of collision energy for the Ba + HF → BaF + H reaction is presented and the influence of isotope substitution on the differential cross sections (DCSs) and alignments of the product's rotational angular momentum have also been studied. The results suggest that the integral cross sections increase with increasing collision energy, and the vibrational excitation of the reagent has great influence on the DCS. In addition, the product's rotational polarization is very strong as a result of heavy-heavy-light (HHL) mass combination, and the distinct effect of isotope substitution on the stereodynamics is also revealed.  相似文献

A quasi-classical trajectory(QCT) calculation is used to investigate the vector and scalar properties of the D + Br O → DBr + O reaction based on an ab initio potential energy surface(X1A state) with collision energy ranging from 0.1 kcal/mol to 6 kcal/mol. The reaction probability, the cross section, and the rate constant are studied. The probability and the cross section show decreasing behaviors as the collision energy increases. The distribution of the rate constant indicates that the reaction favorably occurs in a relatively low-temperature region(T 100 K). Meanwhile, three product angular distributions P(θr), P(φr), and P(θr, φr) are presented, which reflect the positive effect on the rotational angular momentum j' polarization of the DBr product molecule. In addition, two of the polarization-dependent generalized differential cross sections(PDDCSs), PDDCS00 and PDDCS20, are computed as well. Our results demonstrate that both vector and scalar properties have strong energy dependence.  相似文献

By using the partial wave method,we investigate the absorption of a massless scalar wave from a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence.We obtained the expression of absorption cross section σabs(ω)=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)|Tωl(ω)|2=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)Γωl(ω).Then we numerically carry out the absorption cross section and we find that the larger the angular momentum quantum number l is,the smaller the corresponding maximum value of the partial absorption cross section is,and that the total absorption cross section tends to the geometric-optical limit σ hf abs ≈πb 2 c.We also find that higher value of ω q(state parameter of quintessence) corresponds to the higher value of absorption cross section σ abs.  相似文献

Pair production of the doubly charged leptons X±± via vector boson fusion (γγ, Zγ and WW) at the large hadron collider is studied. Our numerical results show that the cross section via Zγ fusion is very small. For the center-of-mass energy √s= 14 TeV and Mx = 200 650 GeV, the values of the cross sections σγγ and σww are in the ranges of 5.2 fb-0.04 fb and 20.2 fb 1.2 fb, respectively.  相似文献

The influence of temperature and input energy on the fluorescence emission cross section of Nd 3+ :YAG crystal is studied. The stimulated emission cross sections of quasi-three-level systems are determined in a temperature range from 30 to 60℃ and an input energy range from 18 to 75 J. The cross section is found to be decreased when the temperature and the input energy are increased. This is attributed to the thermal broadening mechanism of the emission line. An inbuilt compound target composed of carbon and tungsten is designed,and optimized by realistic GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulation.Also,we do a Monte Carlo study for single-pion photoproduction at the target.The results are presented from the simulation of pion yield,angular distribution and spectrum (at θ1ab,θcm=41°).These efforts are important to the coming measurement of the differential cross section for γ+N→π+N.  相似文献

The associated production of Higgs boson with a muon pair, e~+e~-→μ+μ-H, is one of the golden channels to pin down the properties of the Higgs boson in the prospective Higgs factories exemplified by CEPC.The projected accuracy of the corresponding cross section measurement is about per cent level at CEPC. In this work, we investigate both O(α) weak correction and the O(ααs) mixed electroweak-QCD corrections for this channel,appropriately taking into account the effect of finite Z~0 width. The μ~+μ~-invariant mass spectrum is also predicted.The mixed electroweak-QCD correction turns out to reach 1.5% of the Born-order result, and thereby must be included in future confrontation with the data. We also observe that, after including higher-order corrections, the simplified prediction for the integrated cross section employing the narrow-width-approximation may deviate from our full result by a few per cents.  相似文献

The stimulated emission cross sections of quasi-three-level systems are determined in a temperature range from -30 to 60 ℃ and an input energy range from 18 to 75 J. In the framework of the left-right twin Higgs model, we study pair production of the right-handed neutrinos at the International Linear Collider (ILC) and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Our numerical results show that the production cross section of the process e+e→N N is at the level of several tens fb at the ILC. The total photodetachment cross section of a linear triatomic anion is derived for arbitrary laser polarization direction. The cross section is ,shown to be strongly oscillatory when the laser polarization direction is parallel to the axis of the system; the oscillation amplitude decreases and vanishes as the angle between the laser polarization and the anion axis increases and becomes perpendicular to the axis. The average cross section over the orientations of the triatomie system is also obtained. The cross section of the triatomic anion is compared with the cross section of a two-center system. We find there are two oscillation frequencies in the triatomie anion in contrast to only one oscillation frequency in the two-center case. Closed-orbit theory is used to explain the oscillations.  相似文献

State-to-state time-dependent quantum dynamics calculations are carried out to study F(~2P) + HO(~2Π) → O(~3P) +HF(~1Σ~+) reaction on 1~3A〞 ground potential energy surface(PES). The vibrationally resolved reaction probabilities and the total integral cross section agree well with the previous results. Due to the heavy–light–heavy(HLH) system and the large exoergicity, the obvious vibrational inversion is found in a state-resolved integral cross section. The total differential cross section is found to be forward–backward scattering biased with strong oscillations at energy lower than a threshold of 0.10 eV, which is the indication of the indirect complex-forming mechanism. When the collision energy increases to greater than 0.10 eV, the angular distribution of the product becomes a strong forward scattering, and almost all the products are distributed at θ_t = 0°. This forward-peaked distribution can be attributed to the larger J partial waves and the property of the F atom itself, which make this reaction a direct abstraction process. The state-resolved differential cross sections are basically forward-backward symmetric for v' = 0, 1, and 2 at a collision energy of 0.07 eV; for a collision energy of 0.30 eV,it changes from backward/sideward scattering to forward peaked as v increasing from 0 to 3. These results indicate that the contribution of differential cross sections with more highly vibrational excited states to the total differential cross sections is principal, which further verifies the vibrational inversion in the products.  相似文献

The cross sections for Z=10–19 with isotopes T_z=-3/2 to-5 in the 140A Me V~(40)Ca+~9Be projectile fragmentation reaction have been predicted.An empirical formula based on the correlation between the cross section and average binding energy of an isotope has been adopted to predict the cross section.The binding energies in the AME16,WS4,and the theoretical prediction by the spherical relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov theory have been used.Meanwhile,the fracs parametrization and the modified statistical abrasion-ablation model are also used to predict the cross sections for the proton-rich isotopes.The predicted cross sections for the T_z=-3 isotopes are close to 10~(-10)mb,which hopefully can be studied experimentally.In addition,based on the predicted cross sections,Z=14 is suggested to be a new magic number in the light proton-rich nuclei with T_z-3/2,for which the phenomenon is much more evident than it is from the average binding energy per nucleon.  相似文献

We study high energy proton-proton elastic scattering in the framework of Pomeron exchange model. The cross section of the process are calculated without any free parameters. Our finding is that Pomeron exchange theory gives perfect fits to total cross section at the energy of√s higher than 10 GeV and to differential cross section at the momentum transfer [t] less than 1.5 GeV2. For total cross section at lower energy √s < 10 GeV and differential cross section at larger momentum transfer region of |t| > 1.5 GeV2, the Pomeron exchange theory needs to be improved.  相似文献
