In this paper we further develop the method of quaternion typification of Clifford algebra elements suggested by the author in the previous papers. On the basis of new classification of Clifford algebra elements, it is possible to reveal and prove a number of new properties of Clifford algebras. We use k-fold commutators and anticommutators. In this paper we consider Clifford and exterior degrees and elementary functions of Clifford algebra elements.

We present a new classification of Clifford algebra elements. Our classification is based on the notion of quaternion type. Using this classification we develop a method for analyzing commutators and anticommutators of Clifford algebra elements. This method allows us to find out and prove a number of new properties of Clifford algebra elements.

The non commuting matrix elements of matrices from quantum groupGL q (2;C) withq≡ω being then-th root of unity are given a representation as operators in Hilbert space with help ofC 4 (n) generalized Clifford algebra generators appropriately tensored with unit 2×2 matrix infinitely many times. Specific properties of such a representation are presented. Relevance of generalized Pauli algebra to azimuthal quantization of angular momentum alà Lévy-Leblond [10] and to polar decomposition ofSU q (2;C) quantum algebra alà Chaichian and Ellinas [6] is also commented. The case ofqC, |q|=1 may be treated parallely.

We discuss a generalized Pauli theorem and its possible applications for describing n-dimensional (Dirac, Weyl, Majorana, and Majorana-Weyl) spinors in the Clifford algebra formalism. We give the explicit form of elements that realize generalizations of Dirac, charge, and Majorana conjugations in the case of arbitrary space dimensions and signatures, using the notion of the Clifford algebra additional signature to describe conjugations. We show that the additional signature can take only certain values despite its dependence on the matrix representation

The n-dimensional hypercube is a simple graph on 2n vertices labeled by binary strings, or words, of length n. Pairs of vertices are adjacent if and only if they differ in exactly one position as binary words; i.e., the Hamming distance between the words is one. A discrete-time random walk is easily defined on the hypercube by “flipping” a randomly selected digit from 0 to 1 or vice-versa at each time step. By associating the words as blades in a Clifford algebra of particular signature, combinatorial properties of the geometric product can be used to represent this random walk as a sequence within the algebra. A closed-form formula is revealed which yields probability distributions on the vertices of the hypercube at any time k ≥ 0 by a formal power series expansion of elements in the algebra. Furthermore, by inducing a walk on a larger Clifford algebra, probabilities of self-avoiding walks and expected first hitting times of specific vertices are recovered. Moreover, because the Clifford algebras used in the current work are canonically isomorphic to fermion algebras, everything appearing here can be rewritten using fermion creation/annihilation operators, making the discussion relevant to quantum mechanics and/or quantum computing.

We introduce a generalization, called a skew Clifford algebra, of a Clifford algebra, and relate these new algebras to the notion of graded skew Clifford algebra that was defined in 2010. In particular, we examine homogenizations of skew Clifford algebras, and determine which skew Clifford algebras can be homogenized to create Artin-Schelter regular algebras. Just as (classical) Clifford algebras are the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) deformations of exterior algebras, skew Clifford algebras are the Z2-graded PBW deformations of quantum exterior algebras. We also determine the possible dimensions of skew Clifford algebras and provide several examples.

Clifford algebra (geometric algebra) offers a natural and intuitive way to model geometry in fields as robotics, machine vision and computer graphics. This paper proposes a new representation based on fixed-size elements (quadruples) of 4D Clifford algebra and demonstrates that this choice leads to an algorithmic simplification which in turn leads to a simpler and more compact hardware implementation of the algebraic operations. In order to prove the advantages of the new, quadruple-based representation over the classical representation based on homogeneous elements, a coprocessing core supporting the new fixed-size Clifford operands, namely Quad-CliffoSor (Quadruple-based Clifford coprocesSor) was designed and prototyped on an FPGA board. Test results show the potential to achieve a 23× speedup for Clifford products and a 33× speedup for Clifford sums and differences compared to the same operations executed by a software library running on a general-purpose processor.

In this article we consider Clifford algebras over the field of real numbers of finite dimension. We define the operation of Hermitian conjugation for the elements of Clifford algebra. This operation allows us to define the structure of Euclidian space on the Clifford algebra. We consider pseudo-orthogonal group and its subgroups — special pseudo-orthogonal, orthochronous, orthochorous and special orthochronous groups. As we know, spinor groups are double covers of these orthogonal groups. We proved theorem that relates the norm of element of spinor group to the minor of matrix of the corresponding orthogonal group.

This paper explains how, following the representation of 3D crystallographic space groups in Clifford’s geometric algebra, it is further possible to similarly represent the 162 so called subperiodic groups of crystallography in Clifford’s geometric algebra. A new compact geometric algebra group representation symbol is constructed, which allows to read off the complete set of geometric algebra generators. For clarity moreover the chosen generators are stated explicitly. The group symbols are based on the representation of point groups in geometric algebra by versors (Clifford monomials, Lipschitz elements).

We propose a geometric method to parameterize inequivalent vacua by dynamical data. Introducing quantum Clifford algebras with arbitrary bilinear forms we distinguish isomorphic algebras—as Clifford algebras—by different filtrations (resp. induced gradings). The idea of a vacuum is introduced as the unique algebraic projection on the base field embedded in the Clifford algebra, which is however equivalent to the term vacuum in axiomatic quantum field theory and the GNS construction in C*‐algebras. This approach is shown to be equivalent to the usual picture which fixes one product but employs a variety of GNS states. The most striking novelty of the geometric approach is the fact that dynamical data fix uniquely the vacuum and that positivity is not required. The usual concept of a statistical quantum state can be generalized to geometric meaningful but non‐statistical, non‐definite, situations. Furthermore, an algebraization of states takes place. An application to physics is provided by an U (2)‐symmetry producing a gap equation which governs a phase transition. The parameterization of all vacua is explicitly calculated from propagator matrix elements. A discussion of the relation to BCS theory and Bogoliubov–Valatin transformations is given. We deduce from a determinant identity on quantum transfer matrices of generalized quantum integrable spin chain model their generating functions. We construct the isomorphism of Clifford algebra modules of sequences of transfer matrices and the boson space of symmetric functions. As an application, tau-functions of transfer matrices immediately arise from classical tau-functions of symmetric functions.

The generalization of Berezin's Grassmann algebra integral to a Clifford algebra is shown to be translation-invariant in a certain sense. This enables the construction of analogs of twisted convolutions of Grassmann algebra elements and of the Fourier-Weyl transformation, which is an isomorphism from a Clifford algebra to the Grassmann algebra over the dual space, equipped with a twisted convolution product. As an application a noncommutative central limit theorem for states of a Clifford algebra is proved.

历史上,E.Cartan,R.Brauer,H.Weyl,C.Chevalley等数学大师都曾研究和应用过Clifford代数,对它的发展起了重要作用.

In the last decade several versions of the Fourier transform have been formulated in the framework of Clifford algebra. We present a (Clifford-Fourier) transform, constructed using the geometric properties of Clifford algebra. We show the corresponding results of operational calculus, and a connection between the Fourier transform and this new transform. We obtain a technique to construct monogenic extensions of a certain type of continuous functions, and versions of the Paley-Wiener theorems are formulated.

This paper presents a construction of the n = 2 (mod 4) Clifford algebra Cl n,0-valued admissible wavelet transform using the admissible similitude group SIM(n), a subgroup of the affine group of \mathbbRn{\mathbb{R}^{n}} . We express the admissibility condition in terms of the Cl n,0 Clifford Fourier transform (CFT). We show that its fundamental properties such as inner product, norm relation, and inversion formula can be established whenever the Clifford admissible wavelet satisfies a particular admissibility condition. As an application we derive a Heisenberg type uncertainty principle for the Clifford algebra Cl n,0-valued admissible wavelet transform. Finally, we provide some basic examples of these extended wavelets such as Clifford Morlet wavelets and Clifford Hermite wavelets.
