The paper studies a codimension-4 resonant homoclinic bifurcation with one orbit flip and two inclination flips, where the resonance takes place in the tangent direction of homoclinic orbit.Local active coordinate system is introduced to construct the Poincar′e returning map, and also the associated successor functions. We prove the existence of the saddle-node bifurcation, the perioddoubling bifurcation and the homoclinic-doubling bifurcation, and also locate the corresponding 1-periodic orbit, 1-homoclinic orbit, double periodic orbits and some 2n-homoclinic orbits.  相似文献

In this paper, the heteroclinic bifurcation problem with real eigenvalues and two inclination-flips is investigated in a four-dimensional reversible system. We perform a detailed study of this case by using the method originally established in the papers “Problems in Homoclinic Bifurcation with Higher Dimensions” and “Bifurcation of Heteroclinic Loops,” and obtain fruitful results, such as the existence and coexistence of R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric heteroclinic loops, R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric periodic orbit. The double R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation (i.e., two-fold R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation) for reversible heteroclinic loops is found, and the existence of infinitely many R-symmetric periodic orbits accumulating onto a homoclinic orbit is demonstrated. In this paper, the bifurcations of a discrete stage-structured population model with self-limitation between the two subgroups are investigated. We explore all possible codimension-one bifurcations associated with transcritical, flip (period doubling) and Neimark-Sacker bifurcations and discuss the stabilities of the fixed points in these non-hyperbolic cases. Meanwhile, we give the explicit approximate expression of the closed invariant curve which is caused by the Neimark-Sacker bifurcation. After that, through the theory of approximation by a flow, we explore the codimension two bifurcations associated with 1:3 strong resonance. We convert the nondegenerate condition of 1:3 resonance into a parametric polynomial, and determine its sign by the theory of complete discrimination system. We introduce new parameters and utilize some variable substitutions to obtain the bifurcation curves around 1:3 resonance, which are returned to the original variables and parameters to express for easy verification. By using a series of complicated approximate identity transformations and polar coordinate transformation, we explore 1:6 weak resonance. Moreover, we calculate the two boundaries of Arnold tongue which are caused by 1:6 weak resonance and defined as the resonance region. Numerical simulations and numerical bifurcation analyzes are made to demonstrate the effective of the theoretical analyzes and to present the relations between these bifurcations. Furthermore, our theoretical analyzes and numerical simulations are explained from the biological point of view.  相似文献

The Shilnikov‐type single‐pulse homoclinic orbits and chaotic dynamics of a simply supported truss core sandwich plate subjected to the transverse and the in‐plane excitations are investigated in detail. The resonant case considered here is principal parametric resonance and 1:2 internal resonance. Based on the normal form theory, the desired form for the global perturbation method is obtained. By using the global perturbation method developed by Kovacic and Wiggins, explicit sufficient conditions for the existence of a Shilnikov‐type homoclinic orbit are obtained, which implies that chaotic motions may occur for this class of truss core sandwich plate in the sense of Smale horseshoes. Numerical results obtained by using the fourth‐order Runge–Kutta method agree with theoretical analysis at least qualitatively. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This article is devoted to investigating the bifurcations of a heterodimensional cycle with orbit flip and inclination flip, which is a highly degenerate singular cycle. We show the persistence of the heterodimensional cycle and the existence of bifurcation surfaces for the homoclinic orbits or periodic orbits. It is worthy to mention that some new features produced by the degeneracies that the coexistence of heterodimensional cycles and multiple periodic orbits are presented as well, which is different from some known results in the literature. Moreover, an example is given to illustrate our results and clear up some doubts about the existence of the system which has a heterodimensional cycle with both orbit flip and inclination flip. Our strategy is based on moving frame, the fundamental solution matrix of linear variational system is chose to be an active local coordinate system along original heterodimensional cycle, which can clearly display the non-generic properties-``orbit flip" and ``inclination flip" for some sufficiently large time.  相似文献

The bifurcation problems of rough 2-point-loop are studied for the case p11 > λ11, p21 < λ21, P11p21 <λ111λ21. where - pi1 < 0 and λi1 > 0 are the pair of principal eigenvalues of unperturbed system at saddle point pi, i = 1,2. Under the transversal and nontwisted conditions, the authors obtain some results of the existence of one 1-periodic orbit, one 1-periodic and one 1-homoclinic loop, two 1-periodic orbits and one 2-fold 1-periodic orbit. Moreover, the bifurcation surfaces and the existence regions are given, and the corresponding bifurcation graph is drawn.  相似文献

It is known that small perturbations of a Fredholm operator L have nulls of dimension not larger than dim N (L). In this paper for any given positive integer k≤dim N(L) we prove that there is a perturbation of L which has an exactly κ-dimensional null. Actually, our proof gives a construction of the perturbation. We further apply our result to concrete examples of differential equations with degenerate homoclinic orbits, showing how many independent homoclinic orbits can be bifurcated from a perturbation.  相似文献

Some existence theorems for even homoclinic orbits are obtained for a class of second-order nonautonomous Hamiltonian systems with symmetric potentials under a class of new superquadratic conditions. Heteroclinic bifurcations in four dimensional vector fields are investigated by setting up a local coordinates near a rough heteroclinic loop. This heteroclinic loop has a principal heteroclinic orbit and a non-principal heteroclinic orbit that takes orbit flip. The existence, nonexistence, coexistence and uniqueness of the 1-heteroclinic loop, 1-homoclinic orbit and 1-periodic orbit are studied. We investigate the existence and multiplicity of homoclinic orbits for the second‐order damped differential equations For Equation 1 where L(t) and W(t,u) are neither autonomous nor periodic in t. Under certain assumptions on g, L, and W, we get infinitely many homoclinic orbits for superquadratic, subquadratic and concave–convex nonlinearities cases by using fountain theorem and dual fountain theorem in critical point theory.
