数值计算具有自发辐射诱导相干性的开放V型三能级原子系统密度矩阵运动方程,分析无反转激光(LWI)增益的瞬态演化.结果表明:无论是否存在非相干抽运,探测场和驱动场间的相对位相(Ф)对增益的瞬态演化都有显著的影响;通过选择的取值可以获得更大的瞬态和稳定增益;不存在非相干抽运时,系统达到瞬态增益最大值及获得增益稳定值所需要的时间更长,演化过程中振荡幅度更大,获得的增益更大;原子退出速率r0(原子注入速率比S)的变化将使增益瞬态演化的具体过程发生改变,在r0(S)的一定取值范围内,瞬态和稳定增益随S(r0)的增大而增大.  相似文献

We present the first direct measurement of the time evolution of the gain of a soft x-ray laser amplifier. The measurement is based on the injection of a seed pulse, obtained by high-order harmonic generation, into an x-ray laser medium. Strong amplification occurs when the seed pulse is synchronized with the gain period. By precisely varying the delay between the x-ray laser plasma creation and the seed pulse injection, the actual temporal evolution of the soft x-ray amplifier gain is obtained with a subpicosecond resolution.  相似文献

Employing the technique of symmetry reduction of analytic method, we solve the Ginzburg-Landau equation with varying nonlinear, dispersion, gain coefficients, and gain dispersion which originates from the limiting effect of transition bandwidth in the realistic doped fibres. The parabolic asymptotic self-similar analytical solutions in gain medium of the normal GVD is found for the first time to our best knowledge. The evolution of pulse amplitude, strict linear phase chirp and effective temporal width are given with self-similarity results in longitudinal nonlinearity distribution and longitudinal gain fibre. These analytical solutions are in good agreement with the numerical simulations. Furthermore, we theoretically prove that pulse evolution has the characteristics of parabolic asymptotic self-similarity in doped ions dipole gain fibres.  相似文献

Systems with simultaneous cooperation and competition among the elements are ubiquitous. In spite of their practical importance, knowledge on the evolution mechanism of this class of complex system is still very limited. In this work, by conducting extensive empirical survey to a large number of cooperation–competition systems which cover wide categories and contain the information of network topology, cooperation–competition gain, and the evolution time, we try to get some insights into the universal mechanism of their evolutions. Empirical investigations show that the distributions of cooperation–competition gain interpolates between the power law function and the exponential function. Particularly, we found that the cooperation–competition systems with longer evolution durations tend to have more heterogeneous distributions of cooperation–competition gain. Such an empirical observation can be well explained by an analytic model in which the evolution of the systems are mainly controlled by the Matthew effect, and the marginal heterogeneity of the initial distribution is amplified by the Matthew effect with similar speed in spite of the diversity of the investigated systems.  相似文献

Generalized information gains are used to derive stability conditions, for steady states, periodic orbits and invariant sets, and general evolution criteria, both global and local with respect to the time variable, in irreversible thermodynamics. Meixner's passivity condition and the Glansdorff-Prigogine stability and evolution criteria are found to be special cases thereof. The information gain quantities include Kullback's three kinds of divergences, the first two of which are dual to each other and yield criteria which are symmetric in the average densities of the system's extensive variables and the conjugate parameters, but which are nonsymmetric in the irreversible fluxes and forces, while the third one does not involve the entropy function of the system. Furthermore, Renyi's information gain of order and Csiszar'sf-divergence are treated. The latter is used to construct a most general information gain quantity as a Liapunov function and evolution criterion, which, however, for local stability and evolution conditions is still equivalent to the use of the second-order variation of the entropy.Supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.  相似文献

近来,许多实验室仅采用一个脉宽为几个ps的短脉冲就得到了强放大的软X射线激光.这表明瞬态是来得及电离的.为此,在类氖锗的瞬态电子碰撞激发19.6nm 波长X射线激光研究中,提出了采用低预脉冲产生低电离度的预等离子体,后续一个ps级短脉冲既电离又加热等离子体的驱动方式.并用系列程序进行了模拟.模拟结果表明,这种驱动方式也可以得到高增益. 关键词: X射线激光 等离子体 增益系数 瞬态电子碰撞激发  相似文献

Starting with evolution equation of signal optical power in an Er-doped channel waveguide, rigorous theoretical expressions used for correct determination of net gain from signal enhancement measured by using pump-on/off method are derived. These expressions allow to clarify the argument on relationships between net gain, internal gain and signal enhancement in some earlier literatures. Physical implications of net gain, internal gain and signal enhancement expressions are analyzed. Standardized definitions for the three physical quantities are proposed. The definition for net gain is proposed on the basis of practical application of an EDWA in optical fiber communication and the definitions for the latter two are suggested based on the physical implication analysis of their expressions.  相似文献

So far theoretical investigations on the abnormal emission of light particles in competition with fission have dealt only with the total number of emitted particles. In this study, a first step in calculations of energy spectra is attempted in the framework of a transport equation describing the evolution of an excited nucleus toward fission. 利用数值计算结果, 研究了具有自发辐射诱导相干的开放V 型三能级原子系统中的传播效应. 研究表明: 改变探测场和驱动场之间的相对位相对无反转激光(LWI)增益和 强度随传播距离的变化即空间演化具有重要的影响; 而原子的注入速率比(S)和退出速率(r0)的改变将对位相相关的LWI增益和强度的空间演化产生明显的调制作用. 在S(r0)的一定取值范围内, S(r0)的值越大, LWI增益和强度越大且强度达到极大值需要的传播距离越长; 相应封闭系统中LWI增益和强度的最大值及能产生增益的传播距离都小于开放系统. Doppler效应对LWI增益和强度的空间演化也具有明显的影响, 存在Doppler效应时得到的LWI增益和强度明显小于无Doppler效应时的值.  相似文献

基于非相干反馈随机激光器的扩散方程理论,将扩散方程中的增益项改写为饱和形式,并利用有限差分方法,研究了双光子抽运随机激光器中辐射光能量随时间演化特性.对扩散方程的数值求解给出了系统辐射光能量由自发辐射开始,经历小信号增益状态得到放大,再到由于增益饱和形成稳态输出的整个演化过程.表明介质的无序导致了在较低能量情况下也能获得饱和增益这样的非线性效应.结果为研究获得双光子抽运随机激光器的稳态输出提供了理论依据. 关键词: 随机激光器 双光子抽运 饱和效应 无序介质中的光学效应  相似文献

We experimentally investigate the evolution of spatial modulation of broadband laser pulses with different pulse durations through a medium with non-instantaneous Kerr nonlinearity. By modifying the input laser pulse width, we observe the nonlinear growth of the spatial stripes that arise from interference with different modulation frequencies, and then obtain the gain spectra of the spatial modulation which clearly reveal the influence of relaxation effect on spatiotemporal modulation instability. We find that all gain spectra have the similar fastest growing frequency, but they have tails at higher frequency region in which the growth rate of gain is bigger for shorter pulse duration. The experimental results are confirmed by the perturbational analysis.  相似文献

Using the linear approximation, we have studied the time evolution of intensity correlation function C(t) in a single-mode laser driven by both the colored pump noise with signal modulation and the quantum noise with cross-correlation between its real and imaginary parts. In the case of the pump noise self-correlation time, we find that the time evolution of C(t) varies with modulation signal frequency Ω, amplitude B, and net gain ɑ0. (i) As the Ω increases, the time evolution of C(t) experiences a process changing from the monotonous descension to the descension with a flat appearing initially, and finally to the a form of damping oscillation; (ii) As the B increases, it experiences from monotonous descension to the appearance of a maximum; (iii) As the net gain ɑ0 increases, it experiences a process repeatedly changing from the monotonous descension to monotonous ascension, and to the appearance of a maximum, finally to monotonous descension again. However, in the case of, the time evolution of C(t) only exhibits a form of damping oscillation .  相似文献

Laser evolution and plasma wave excitation by a relativistically intense short-pulse laser in underdense plasma are investigated in the broad pulse limit, including the effects of pulse steepening, frequency redshifting, and energy depletion. The nonlinear plasma wave phase velocity is shown to be significantly lower than the laser group velocity and further decreases as the pulse propagates owing to laser evolution. This lowers the thresholds for trapping and wave breaking and reduces the energy gain and efficiency of laser-plasma accelerators that use a uniform plasma profile.  相似文献

We study pulse propagation in a normal-dispersion optical fibre amplifier with an arbitrary longitudinal gain profile by self-similarity techniques. We show the functional form of the development of low-amplitude wings on the parabolic pulse, which are associated with the evolution of an arbitrary input pulse to the asymptotic parabolic pulse solution. It is found that for the increasing gain the amplifier output corresponding to the input Gaussian pulse converges to the asymptotic parabolic pulse solution more quickly than the output obtained with the input hyperbolic secant pulse, whereas for the decreasing gain the input pulse profiles have nearly no effect on the speed of convergence to the parabolic pulse solution. These theoretical results are confirmed by numerical simulations.  相似文献

We study the effects of the relative phase, Φ, between the probe and driving fields on the transient evolution of the atomic response from different respects in an open lambda-type system with spontaneously generated coherence. We find that: variation of value of Φ will obviously change the transient evolution process, transient and stationary values of gain, absorption and dispersion but has no any effect on the transient evolution of populations. For the same value of Φ, the stationary gain without inversion (GWI) when the incoherent pumping exists is much larger than that when the incoherent pumping is absent, the time needed to reach at the stationary state when the incoherent pumping exists is much shorter than that when the incoherent pumping is absent. The initial condition varying has remarkable effects on the phase-dependent transient evolution process, transient value of GWI but doesn’t vary size of stationary value of GWI. Varying the ratio C of the atomic injection rates and exit rate γ0 has evident effects on the phase-dependent transient evolution process, transient and stationary values of GWI. Our study result shows that the transient evolution of the atomic response in the open system presents some considerable difference from that in the corresponding closed system, specially in the open system we can get much larger GWI than that in the corresponding closed system. In addition, we give a brief discussion about effects of the relative phase on the transient evolution of the atomic response in the open system without SGC, and obtain some results much different from those obtained in the open system with SGC.  相似文献

We have studied the feasibility of amplification without population inversion (AWI) in LiH molecule for three-level ladder, V, and Λ schemes. We have shown the salient features of AWI in a molecular system in comparison to that in an atomic system, viz. the dependence of gain profile on the choice of different rotational and vibrational transitions. Under different three-level schemes, the effect of homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening on the gain profile has been studied. We have also studied the dependence of gain on different external parameters. The temporal evolution of gain has been analyzed and it was found that AWI is achievable in both the transient and the steady state regime. For all the three-level schemes and in particular for the ladder scheme, amplification of the weak probe was obtained using a coupling laser of smaller frequency.  相似文献
