The structures of two ammonium salts of 3‐carboxy‐4‐hydroxybenzenesulfonic acid (5‐sulfosalicylic acid, 5‐SSA) have been determined at 200 K. In the 1:1 hydrated salt, ammonium 3‐carboxy‐4‐hydroxybenzenesulfonate monohydrate, NH4+·C7H5O6S·H2O, (I), the 5‐SSA monoanions give two types of head‐to‐tail laterally linked cyclic hydrogen‐bonding associations, both with graph‐set R44(20). The first involves both carboxylic acid O—H...Owater and water O—H...Osulfonate hydrogen bonds at one end, and ammonium N—H...Osulfonate and N—H...Ocarboxy hydrogen bonds at the other. The second association is centrosymmetric, with end linkages through water O—H...Osulfonate hydrogen bonds. These conjoined units form stacks down c and are extended into a three‐dimensional framework structure through N—H...O and water O—H...O hydrogen bonds to sulfonate O‐atom acceptors. Anhydrous triammonium 3‐carboxy‐4‐hydroxybenzenesulfonate 3‐carboxylato‐4‐hydroxybenzenesulfonate, 3NH4+·C7H4O6S2−·C7H5O6S, (II), is unusual, having both dianionic 5‐SSA2− and monoanionic 5‐SSA species. These are linked by a carboxylic acid O—H...O hydrogen bond and, together with the three ammonium cations (two on general sites and the third comprising two independent half‐cations lying on crystallographic twofold rotation axes), give a pseudo‐centrosymmetric asymmetric unit. Cation–anion hydrogen bonding within this layered unit involves a cyclic R33(8) association which, together with extensive peripheral N—H...O hydrogen bonding involving both sulfonate and carboxy/carboxylate acceptors, gives a three‐dimensional framework structure. This work further demonstrates the utility of the 5‐SSA monoanion for the generation of stable hydrogen‐bonded crystalline materials, and provides the structure of a dianionic 5‐SSA2− species of which there are only a few examples in the crystallographic literature.  相似文献

To enable a comparison between a C—H…X hydrogen bond and a halogen bond, the structures of two fluorous‐substituted pyridinium iodide salts have been determined. 4‐[(2,2‐Difluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium iodide, C8H10F2NO+·I, (1), has a –CH2OCH2CF2H substituent at the para position of the pyridinium ring and 4‐[(3‐chloro‐2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoropropoxy)methyl]pyridinium iodide, C9H9ClF4NO+·I, (2), has a –CH2OCH2CF2CF2Cl substituent at the para position of the pyridinium ring. In salt (1), the iodide anion is involved in one N—H…I and three C—H…I hydrogen bonds, which, together with C—H…F hydrogen bonds, link the cations and anions into a three‐dimensional network. For salt (2), the iodide anion is involved in one N—H…I hydrogen bond, two C—H…I hydrogen bonds and one C—Cl…I halogen bond; additional C—H…F and C—F…F interactions link the cations and anions into a three‐dimensional arrangement.  相似文献

Two new salts, namely 2,6‐diamino‐4‐chloropyrimidinium 2‐carboxy‐3‐nitrobenzoate, C4H6ClN4+·C8H4NO6, (I), and 2,6‐diamino‐4‐chloropyrimidinium p‐toluenesulfonate monohydrate, C4H6ClN4+·C7H7O3S·H2O, (II), have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In both crystal structures, the N atom in the 1‐position of the pyrimidine ring is protonated. In salt (I), the protonated N atom and the amino group of the pyrimidinium cation interact with the carboxylate group of the anion through N—H…O hydrogen bonds to form a heterosynthon with an R 22(8) ring motif. In hydrated salt (II), the presence of the water molecule prevents the formation of the familiar R 22(8) ring motif. Instead, an expanded ring [i.e. R 32(8)] is formed involving the sulfonate group, the pyrimidinium cation and the water molecule. Both salts form a supramolecular homosynthon [R 22(8) ring motif] through N—H…N hydrogen bonds. The molecular structures are further stabilized by π–π stacking, and C=O…π, C—H…O and C—H…Cl interactions.  相似文献

Aminopyrimidine derivatives are biologically important as they are components of nucleic acids and drugs. The crystals of two new salts, namely cytosinium 6‐chloronicotinate monohydrate, C4H6N3O+·C6H3ClNO2·H2O, ( I ), and 5‐bromo‐6‐methylisocytosinium hydrogen sulfate (or 2‐amino‐5‐bromo‐4‐oxo‐6‐methylpyrimidinium hydrogen sulfate), C5H7BrN3O+·HSO4, ( II ), have been prepared and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The pyrimidine ring of both compounds is protonated at the imine N atom. In hydrated salt ( I ), the primary R22(8) ring motif (supramolecular heterosynthon) is formed via a pair of N—H…O(carboxylate) hydrogen bonds. The cations, anions and water molecule are hydrogen bonded through N—H…O, N—H…N, O—H…O and C—H…O hydrogen bonds, forming R22(8), R32(7) and R55(21) motifs, leading to a hydrogen‐bonded supramolecular sheet structure. The supramolecular double sheet structure is formed via water–carboxylate O—H…O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions between the anions and the cations. In salt ( II ), the hydrogen sulfate ions are linked via O—H…O hydrogen bonds to generate zigzag chains. The aminopyrimidinium cations are embedded between these zigzag chains. Each hydrogen sulfate ion bridges two cations via pairs of N—H…O hydrogen bonds and vice versa, generating two R22(8) ring motifs (supramolecular heterosynthon). The cations also interact with one another via halogen–halogen (Br…Br) and halogen–oxygen (Br…O) interactions.  相似文献

Cocrystallization of imidazole or 4‐methylimidazole with 2,2′‐dithiodibenzoic acid from methanol solution yields the title 2:1 and 1:1 organic salts, 2C3H5N2+·C14H10O4S22−, (I), and C4H7N2+·C14H10O4S2, (II), respectively. Compound (I) crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group with the mid‐point of the S—S bond lying on a twofold axis. The component ions in (I) are linked by intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds to form a two‐dimensional network, which is further linked by C—H...O hydrogen bonds into a three‐dimensional network. In contrast, by means of N—H...O, N—H...S and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, the component ions in (II) are linked into a tape and adjacent tapes are further linked by π–π, C—H...O and C—H...π interactions, resulting in a three‐dimensional network.  相似文献

It is possible that fluorous compounds could be utilized as directing forces in crystal engineering for applications in materials chemistry or catalysis. Although numerous fluorous compounds have been used for various applications, their structures in the solid state remains a lively matter for debate. The reaction of 4‐[(2,2,2‐trifluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridine with HX (X = I or Cl) yielded new fluorous ponytailed pyridinium halide salts, namely 4‐[(2,2,2‐trifluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium iodide, C8H9F3NO+·I, (1), and 4‐[(2,2,2‐trifluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium chloride, C8H9F3NO+·Cl, (2), which were characterized by IR spectroscopy, multinuclei (1H, 13C and 19F) NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Structure analysis showed that there are two types of hydrogen bonds, namely N—H…X and C—H…X. The iodide anion in salt (1) is hydrogen bonded to three 4‐[(2,2,2‐trifluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium cations in the crystal packing, while the chloride ion in salt (2) is involved in six hydrogen bonds to five 4‐[(2,2,2‐trifluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium cations, which is attributed to the smaller size and reduced polarizability of the chloride ion compared to the iodide ion. In the IR spectra, the pyridinium N—H stretching band for salt (1) exhibited a blue shift compared with that of salt (2).  相似文献

The asymmetric unit of the optically resolved title salt, C8H12N+·C4H5O4S, contains a 1‐phenylethanaminium monocation and a thiomalate (3‐carboxy‐2‐sulfanylpropanoate) monoanion. The absolute configurations of the cation and the anion are determined to be S and R, respectively. In the crystal, cation–anion N—H...O hydrogen bonds, together with anion–anion O—H...O and S—H...O hydrogen bonds, construct a two‐dimensional supramolecular sheet parallel to the ab plane. The two‐dimensional sheet is linked with the upper and lower sheets through C—H...π interactions to stack along the c axis.  相似文献

All three title compounds, C4H7N2+·C4H5O4, (I), C4H7N2+·C5H7O4, (II), and C4H7N2+·C6H9O4·H2O, (III), can be regarded as 1:1 organic salts. The dicarboxylic acids join through short acid bridges into infinite chains. Compound (I) crystallizes in the noncentrosymmetric Cmc21 space group and the asymmetric unit consists of a hydrogen succinate anion located on a mirror plane and a 2‐methylimidazolium cation disordered across the same mirror. The other two compounds crystallize in the triclinic P space group. The carboxylic acid H atom in (II) is disordered over both ends of the anion and sits on inversion centres between adjacent anions, forming symmetric short O...H...O bridges. Two independent anions in (III) sit across inversion centres, again with the carboxylic acid H atom disordered in short O...H...O bridges. The molecules in all three compounds are linked into two‐dimensional networks by combinations of imidazolium–carboxylate N+—H...O and carboxylate–carboxylate O—H...O hydrogen bonds. The two‐dimensional networks are further linked into three‐dimensional networks by C—H...O hydrogen bonds in (I) and by Owater—H...O hydrogen bonds in (III). According to the ΔpKa rule, such 1:1 types of organic salts can be expected unambiguously. However, a 2:1 type of organic salt may be more easily obtained in (II) and (III) than in (I).  相似文献

A fixed hydrogen‐bonding motif with a high probability of occurring when appropriate functional groups are involved is described as a `supramolecular hydrogen‐bonding synthon'. The identification of these synthons may enable the prediction of accurate crystal structures. The rare chiral hydrogen‐bonding motif R53(10) was observed previously in a cocrystal of 2,4,6‐trichlorophenol, 2,4‐dichlorophenol and dicyclohexylamine. In the title solvated salt, 2C4H12N+·C6H3Cl2O·(C6H3Cl2O·C6H4Cl2O)·2C4H8O, five components, namely two tert‐butylammonium cations, one 2,4‐dichlorophenol molecule, one 2,4‐dichlorophenolate anion and one 2,6‐dichlorophenolate anion, are bound by N—H…O and O—H…O hydrogen bonds to form a hydrogen‐bonded ring, with the graph‐set motif R53(10), which is further associated with two pendant tetrahydrofuran molecules by N—H…O hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen‐bonded ring has internal symmetry, with a twofold axis running through the centre of the 2,6‐dichlorophenolate anion, and is isostructural with a previous and related structure formed from 2,4‐dichlorophenol, dicyclohexylamine and 2,4,6‐trichlorophenol. In the title crystal, helical columns are built by the alignment and twisting of the chiral hydrogen‐bonded rings, along and across the c axis, and successive pairs of rings are associated with each other through C—H…π interactions. Neighbouring helical columns are inversely related and, therefore, no chirality is sustained, in contrast to the previous case.  相似文献

The title compound is a salt, 2H5O2+·C10H6O6S22−, in which the anion lies across an inversion centre in the space group C2/c, while the cation contains a short but noncentred O—H...O hydrogen bond. The ionic components are linked by charge‐assisted O—H...O hydrogen bonds into a three‐dimensional framework structure.  相似文献

Each anion of the title salt, NH4+·C8HN4O2·H2O, is linked by two N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds to another anion, thus forming an essentially planar centrosymmetric dimer. The dimers are considered to be molecular building blocks of an anionic wall. The building blocks form infinite ribbons via–C—N⋯N—C– dipole–dipole and π–π interactions. Adjacent ribbons are stacked by means of π–π interactions, thus forming an anionic wall. Neighbouring walls are connected by (NH4+…H2O)n chains running along the b axis.  相似文献

The title compound, C8H8NO4+·Cl·H2O, is the chlorohydrated form of 2‐aminobenzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylic acid, the basic crystal structure of which is still not known. Molecules are linked by classical N—H⋯O, O—H⋯O, N—H⋯Cl and O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, mainly along the molecular plane, into sheets built by unusual R64(26), R64(22) and R43(22) rings. The stacking between layers is stabilized by another N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bond and by π–π interactions between aromatic rings facing each other.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H7N2O2+·NO3, is built up from 4‐nitroanilinium cations and nitrate anions. The NO2 group is coplanar with the aryl ring, which shows significant distortion from the ideal hexagonal form. The NO3 anion is planar but shows distortion from the C3h symmetry that is predicted by molecular orbital calculations. Two of the three O atoms of the NO3 group are involved in hydrogen bonds as acceptors.  相似文献

The title compound anilinium chloride–4‐bromo‐N‐phenylbenzenesulfonamide (1/1), C6H8N+·Cl·C12H10BrNO2S, displays a hydrogen‐bonded ladder motif with four independent N—H⋯Cl bonds in which both the NH group of the sulfonamide molecule and the NH3 group of the anilinium ion [N⋯Cl = 3.135 (3)–3.196 (2) Å and N—H⋯Cl = 151–167°] are involved. This hydrogen‐bonded chain contains two independent R42(8) rings and each chloride ion acts as an acceptor of four hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Mixtures of 4‐carboxypyridinium perchlorate or 4‐carboxypyridinium tetrafluoroborate and 18‐crown‐6 (1,4,7,10,13,16‐hexaoxacyclooctadecane) in ethanol and water solution yielded the title supramolecular salts, C6H6NO2+·ClO4·C12H24O6·2H2O and C6H6NO2+·BF4·C12H24O6·2H2O. Based on their similar crystal symmetries, unit cells and supramolecular assemblies, the salts are essentially isostructural. The asymmetric unit in each structure includes one protonated isonicotinic acid cation and one crown ether molecule, which together give a [(C6H6NO2)(18‐crown‐6)]+ supramolecular cation. N—H...O hydrogen bonds between the protonated N atoms and a single O atom of each crown ether result in the 4‐carboxypyridinium cations `perching' on the 18‐crown‐6 molecules. Further hydrogen‐bonding interactions involving the supramolecular cation and both water molecules form a one‐dimensional zigzag chain that propagates along the crystallographic c direction. O—H...O or O—H...F hydrogen bonds between one of the water molecules and the anions fix the anion positions as pendant upon this chain, without further increasing the dimensionality of the supramolecular network.  相似文献

The crystal structures of the proton‐transfer compounds of ferron (8‐hydroxy‐7‐iodoquinoline‐5‐sulfonic acid) with 4‐chloroaniline and 4‐bromoaniline, namely 4‐chloroanilinium 8‐hydroxy‐7‐iodoquinoline‐5‐sulfonate monohydrate, C6H7ClN+·C9H5INO4S·H2O, and 4‐bromoanilinium 8‐hydroxy‐7‐iodoquinoline‐5‐sulfonate monohydrate, C6H7BrN+·C9H5INO4S·H2O, have been determined. The compounds are isomorphous and comprise sheets of hydrogen‐bonded cations, anions and water molecules which are extended into a three‐dimensional framework structure through centrosymmetric R22(10) O—H...N hydrogen‐bonded ferron dimer interactions.  相似文献

In the structure of the 1:1 proton‐transfer compound from the reaction of l ‐tartaric acid with the azo‐dye precursor aniline yellow [4‐(phenyldiazenyl)aniline], namely 4‐(phenyldiazenyl)anilinium (2R,3R)‐3‐carboxy‐2,3‐dihydroxypropanoate, C12H12N3+·C4H5O6, the asymmetric unit contains two independent 4‐(phenyldiazenyl)anilinium cations and two hydrogen l ‐tartrate anions. The structure is unusual in that all four phenyl rings of the two cations have identical rotational disorder with equal occupancy of the conformations. The two hydrogen l ‐tartrate anions form independent but similar chains through head‐to‐tail carboxyl–carboxylate O—H...O hydrogen bonds [graph set C(7)], which are then extended into a two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded sheet structure through hydroxy O—H...O hydrogen‐bonded links. The anilinium groups of the 4‐(phenyldiazenyl)anilinium cations are incorporated into the sheets and also provide internal hydrogen‐bonded extensions, while their aromatic tails are layered in the structure without significant association except for weak π–π interactions [minimum ring centroid separation = 3.844 (3) Å]. The hydrogen l ‐tartrate residues of both anions exhibit the common short intramolecular hydroxy–carboxylate O—H...O hydogen bonds. This work provides a solution to the unusual disorder problem inherent in the structure of this salt, as well as giving another example of the utility of the hydrogen tartrate anion in the generation of sheet substructures in molecular assembly processes.  相似文献

Nine salts of the antifolate drugs trimethoprim and pyrimethamine, namely, trimethoprimium [or 2,4‐diamino‐5‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidin‐1‐ium] 2,5‐dichlorothiophene‐3‐carboxylate monohydrate (TMPDCTPC, 1:1), C14H19N4O3+·C5HCl2O2S, ( I ), trimethoprimium 3‐bromothiophene‐2‐carboxylate monohydrate, (TMPBTPC, 1:1:1), C14H19N4O3+·C5H2BrO2S·H2O, ( II ), trimethoprimium 3‐chlorothiophene‐2‐carboxylate monohydrate (TMPCTPC, 1:1:1), C14H19N4O3+·C5H2ClO2S·H2O, ( III ), trimethoprimium 5‐methylthiophene‐2‐carboxylate monohydrate (TMPMTPC, 1:1:1), C14H19N4O3+·C6H5O2S·H2O, ( IV ), trimethoprimium anthracene‐9‐carboxylate sesquihydrate (TMPAC, 2:2:3), C14H19N4O3+·C15H9O2·1.5H2O, ( V ), pyrimethaminium [or 2,4‐diamino‐5‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐6‐ethylpyrimidin‐1‐ium] 2,5‐dichlorothiophene‐3‐carboxylate (PMNDCTPC, 1:1), C12H14ClN4+·C5HCl2O2S, ( VI ), pyrimethaminium 5‐bromothiophene‐2‐carboxylate (PMNBTPC, 1:1), C12H14ClN4+·C5H2BrO2S, ( VII ), pyrimethaminium anthracene‐9‐carboxylate ethanol monosolvate monohydrate (PMNAC, 1:1:1:1), C12H14ClN4+·C15H9O2·C2H5OH·H2O, ( VIII ), and bis(pyrimethaminium) naphthalene‐1,5‐disulfonate (PMNNSA, 2:1), 2C12H14ClN4+·C10H6O6S22−, ( IX ), have been prepared and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In all the crystal structures, the pyrimidine N1 atom is protonated. In salts ( I )–( III ) and ( VI )–( IX ), the 2‐aminopyrimidinium cation interacts with the corresponding anion via a pair of N—H…O hydrogen bonds, generating the robust R22(8) supramolecular heterosynthon. In salt ( IV ), instead of forming the R22(8) heterosynthon, the carboxylate group bridges two pyrimidinium cations via N—H…O hydrogen bonds. In salt ( V ), one of the carboxylate O atoms bridges the N1—H group and a 2‐amino H atom of the pyrimidinium cation to form a smaller R21(6) ring instead of the R22(8) ring. In salt ( IX ), the sulfonate O atoms mimic the role of carboxylate O atoms in forming an R22(8) ring motif. In salts ( II )–( IX ), the pyrimidinium cation forms base pairs via a pair of N—H…N hydrogen bonds, generating a ring motif [R22(8) homosynthon]. Compounds ( II ) and ( III ) are isomorphous. The quadruple DDAA (D = hydrogen‐bond donor and A = hydrogen‐bond acceptor) array is observed in ( I ). In salts ( II )–( IV ) and ( VI )–( IX ), quadruple DADA arrays are present. In salts ( VI ) and ( VII ), both DADA and DDAA arrays co‐exist. The crystal structures are further stabilized by π–π stacking interactions [in ( I ), ( V ) and ( VII )–( IX )], C—H…π interactions [in ( IV )–( V ) and ( VII )–( IX )], C—Br…π interactions [in ( II )] and C—Cl…π interactions [in ( I ), ( III ) and ( VI )]. Cl…O and Cl…Cl halogen‐bond interactions are present in ( I ) and ( VI ), with distances and angles of 3.0020 (18) and 3.5159 (16) Å, and 165.56 (10) and 154.81 (11)°, respectively.  相似文献

The title compounds, bis(ammonium) naphthalene‐1,5‐disulfonate, 2NH4+·C10H6O6S22−, and bis[1‐(hydroxymethyl)‐3,5,7‐triaza‐1‐azoniatricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane] 1,5‐naphthalenedisulfonate, 2C7H15N4O+·C10H6O6S22−, were prepared from the acid‐promoted reaction of hexamethylenetetramine. In both structures, the disulfonate anion is positioned on an inversion center, with each sulfonate group contributing to the supramolecular assemblies via hydrogen bonds. The ammonium cations are linked to sulfonate groups by four distinct N+—H⃛O—S contacts [N⃛O = 2.846 (2)–2.898 (2) Å and N—H⃛O = 160 (2)–175 (2)°], whereas the 1‐(hydroxymethyl)‐3,5,7‐triaza‐1‐azoniatricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane cations form one O—H⃛O—S [O⃛O = 2.628 (2) Å and O—H⃛O = 176°] and three C—H⃛O—S [C⃛O = 3.359 (2)–3.380 (2) Å and C—H⃛O = 148–155°] interactions to neighboring sulfonate groups.  相似文献

The structures of diastereomeric pairs consisting of (S)‐ and (R)‐2‐methylpiperazine with (2S,3S)‐tartaric acid are both 1:1 salts, namely (S)‐2‐methylpiperazinium (2S,3S)‐tartrate dihydrate, C5H14N22+·C4H4O62−·2H2O, (I), and (R)‐2‐methylpiperazinium (2S,3S)‐tartrate dihydrate, C5H14N22+·C4H4O62−·2H2O, (II), which reveal the formation of well defined ammonium carboxylate salts linked via strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Unlike the situation in the more soluble salt (II), the alternating columns of tartrate and ammonium ions of the less soluble salt (I) are packed neatly in a grid around the a axis, which incorporates water molecules at regular intervals. The increased efficiency of packing for (I) is evident in its lower `packing coefficient', and the hydrogen‐bond contribution is stronger in the more soluble salt (II).  相似文献
