The results of seven cocrystallization experiments of the antithyroid drug 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil (MTU), C5H6N2OS, with 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine, 2,4,6‐triaminopyrimidine and 6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine (viz. 2,6‐diamino‐3H‐pyrimidin‐4‐one) are reported. MTU features an ADA (A = acceptor and D = donor) hydrogen‐bonding site, while the three coformers show complementary DAD hydrogen‐bonding sites and therefore should be capable of forming an ADA/DAD N—H...O/N—H...N/N—H...S synthon with MTU. The experiments yielded one cocrystal and six cocrystal solvates, namely 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–1‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1/2), C5H6N2OS·C4H6N4·2C5H9NO, (I), 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine (1/1), C5H6N2OS·C4H6N4, (II), 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (2/1/2), 2C5H6N2OS·C4H6N4·2C4H9NO, (III), 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–N,N‐dimethylformamide (2/1/2), C5H6N2OS·0.5C4H6N4·C3H7NO, (IV), 2,4,6‐triaminopyrimidinium 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracilate–6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–N,N‐dimethylformamide (1/1/2), C4H8N5+·C5H5N2OS·C5H6N2OS·2C3H7NO, (V), 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine–N,N‐dimethylformamide (1/1/1), C5H6N2OS·C4H6N4O·C3H7NO, (VI), and 6‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine–dimethyl sulfoxide (1/1/1), C5H6N2OS·C4H6N4O·C2H6OS, (VII). Whereas in cocrystal (I) an R22(8) interaction similar to the Watson–Crick adenine/uracil base pair is formed and a two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonding network is observed, the cocrystals (II)–(VII) contain the triply hydrogen‐bonded ADA/DAD N—H...O/N—H...N/N—H...S synthon and show a one‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonding network. Although 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine possesses only one DAD hydrogen‐bonding site, it is, due to orientational disorder, triply connected to two MTU molecules in (III) and (IV).  相似文献

The understanding of intermolecular interactions is a key objective of crystal engineering in order to exploit the derived knowledge for the rational design of new molecular solids with tailored physical and chemical properties. The tools and theories of crystal engineering are indispensable for the rational design of (pharmaceutical) cocrystals. The results of cocrystallization experiments of the antithyroid drug 6‐propyl‐2‐thiouracil (PTU) with 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine (DAPY), and of 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil (MOMTU) with DAPY and 2,4,6‐triaminopyrimidine (TAPY), respectively, are reported. PTU and MOMTU show a high structural similarity and differ only in the replacement of a methylene group (–CH2–) with an O atom in the side chain, thus introducing an additional hydrogen‐bond acceptor in MOMTU. Both molecules contain an ADA hydrogen‐bonding site (A = acceptor and D = donor), while the coformers DAPY and TAPY both show complementary DAD sites and therefore should be capable of forming a mixed ADA/DAD synthon with each other, i.e. N—H…O, N—H…N and N—H…S hydrogen bonds. The experiments yielded one solvated cocrystal salt of PTU with DAPY, four different solvates of MOMTU, one ionic cocrystal of MOMTU with DAPY and one cocrystal salt of MOMTU with TAPY, namely 2,4‐diaminopyrimidinium 6‐propyl‐2‐thiouracilate–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–N,N‐dimethylacetamide–water (1/1/1/1) (the systematic name for 6‐propyl‐2‐thiouracilate is 6‐oxo‐4‐propyl‐2‐sulfanylidene‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydropyrimidin‐1‐ide), C4H7N4+·C7H9N2OS·C4H6N4·C4H9NO·H2O, (I), 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil–N,N‐dimethylformamide (1/1), C6H8N2O2S·C3H7NO, (II), 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (1/1), C6H8N2O2S·C4H9NO, (III), 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil–dimethyl sulfoxide (1/1), C6H8N2O2S·C2H6OS, (IV), 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil–1‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1), C6H8N2O2S·C5H9NO, (V), 2,4‐diaminopyrimidinium 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracilate (the systematic name for 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracilate is 4‐methoxymethyl‐6‐oxo‐2‐sulfanylidene‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydropyrimidin‐1‐ide), C4H7N4+·C6H7N2O2S, (VI), and 2,4,6‐triaminopyrimidinium 6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracilate–6‐methoxymethyl‐2‐thiouracil (1/1), C4H8N5+·C6H7N2O2S·C6H8N2O2S, (VII). Whereas in (I) only an AA/DD hydrogen‐bonding interaction was formed, the structures of (VI) and (VII) both display the desired ADA/DAD synthon. Conformational studies on the side chains of PTU and MOMTU also revealed a significant deviation for cocrystals (VI) and (VII), leading to the desired enhancement of the hydrogen‐bond pattern within the crystal.  相似文献

Doubly and triply hydrogen‐bonded supramolecular synthons are of particular interest for the rational design of crystal and cocrystal structures in crystal engineering since they show a high robustness due to their high stability and good reliability. The compound 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil (2‐thiothymine) contains an ADA hydrogen‐bonding site (A = acceptor and D = donor) if the S atom is considered as an acceptor. We report herein the results of cocrystallization experiments with the coformers 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine, 2,4‐diamino‐6‐phenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine, 6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine and melamine, which contain complementary DAD hydrogen‐bonding sites and, therefore, should be capable of forming a mixed ADADAD N—H…S/N—H…N/N—H…O synthon (denoted synthon 3sN·S;N·N;N·O), consisting of three different hydrogen bonds with 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil. The experiments yielded one cocrystal and five solvated cocrystals, namely 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine (1/2), C5H6N2OS·2C4H6N4, (I), 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diaminopyrimidine–N,N‐dimethylformamide (2/2/1), 2C5H6N2OS·2C4H6N4·C3H7NO, (II), 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–2,4‐diamino‐6‐phenyl‐1,3,5‐triazine–N,N‐dimethylformamide (2/2/1), 2C5H6N2OS·2C9H9N5·C3H7NO, (III), 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine–N,N‐dimethylformamide (2/2/1), (IV), 2C5H6N2OS·2C4H6N4O·C3H7NO, (IV), 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–6‐amino‐3H‐isocytosine–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (2/2/1), 2C5H6N2OS·2C4H6N4O·C4H9NO, (V), and 5‐methyl‐2‐thiouracil–melamine (3/2), 3C5H6N2OS·2C3H6N6, (VI). Synthon 3sN·S;N·N;N·O was formed in three structures in which two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded networks are observed, while doubly hydrogen‐bonded interactions were formed instead in the remaining three cocrystals whereby three‐dimensional networks are preferred. As desired, the S atoms are involved in hydrogen‐bonding interactions in all six structures, thus illustrating the ability of sulfur to act as a hydrogen‐bond acceptor and, therefore, its value for application in crystal engineering.  相似文献

The antibiotic trimethoprim [5‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine‐2,4‐diamine] was cocrystallized with glutarimide (piperidine‐2,6‐dione) and its 3,3‐dimethyl derivative (4,4‐dimethylpiperidine‐2,6‐dione). The cocrystals, viz. trimethoprim–glutarimide (1/1), C14H18N4O3·C5H7NO2, (I), and trimethoprim–3,3‐dimethylglutarimide (1/1), C14H18N4O3·C7H11NO2, (II), are held together by three neighbouring hydrogen bonds (one central N—H...N and two N—H...O) between the pyrimidine ring of trimethoprim and the imide group of glutarimide, with an ADA/DAD pattern (A = acceptor and D = donor). These heterodimers resemble two known cocrystals of trimethoprim with barbituric acid and its 5,5‐diethyl derivative. Trimethoprim shows a conformation in which the planes of the pyrimidine and benzene rings are approximately perpendicular to one another. In its glutarimide coformer, five of the six ring atoms lie in a common plane; the C atom opposite the N atom deviates by about 0.6 Å. The crystal packing of each of the two cocrystals is characterized by an extended network of hydrogen bonds and contains centrosymmetrically related trimethoprim homodimers formed by a pair of N—H...N hydrogen bonds. This structural motif occurs in five of the nine published crystal structures in which neutral trimethoprim is present.  相似文献

A fixed hydrogen‐bonding motif with a high probability of occurring when appropriate functional groups are involved is described as a `supramolecular hydrogen‐bonding synthon'. The identification of these synthons may enable the prediction of accurate crystal structures. The rare chiral hydrogen‐bonding motif R53(10) was observed previously in a cocrystal of 2,4,6‐trichlorophenol, 2,4‐dichlorophenol and dicyclohexylamine. In the title solvated salt, 2C4H12N+·C6H3Cl2O·(C6H3Cl2O·C6H4Cl2O)·2C4H8O, five components, namely two tert‐butylammonium cations, one 2,4‐dichlorophenol molecule, one 2,4‐dichlorophenolate anion and one 2,6‐dichlorophenolate anion, are bound by N—H…O and O—H…O hydrogen bonds to form a hydrogen‐bonded ring, with the graph‐set motif R53(10), which is further associated with two pendant tetrahydrofuran molecules by N—H…O hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen‐bonded ring has internal symmetry, with a twofold axis running through the centre of the 2,6‐dichlorophenolate anion, and is isostructural with a previous and related structure formed from 2,4‐dichlorophenol, dicyclohexylamine and 2,4,6‐trichlorophenol. In the title crystal, helical columns are built by the alignment and twisting of the chiral hydrogen‐bonded rings, along and across the c axis, and successive pairs of rings are associated with each other through C—H…π interactions. Neighbouring helical columns are inversely related and, therefore, no chirality is sustained, in contrast to the previous case.  相似文献

Four crystal structures of 3‐cyano‐6‐hydroxy‐4‐methyl‐2‐pyridone (CMP), viz. the dimethyl sulfoxide monosolvate, C7H6N2O2·C2H6OS, (1), the N,N‐dimethylacetamide monosolvate, C7H6N2O2·C4H9NO, (2), a cocrystal with 2‐amino‐4‐dimethylamino‐6‐methylpyrimidine (as the salt 2‐amino‐4‐dimethylamino‐6‐methylpyrimidin‐1‐ium 5‐cyano‐4‐methyl‐6‐oxo‐1,6‐dihydropyridin‐2‐olate), C7H13N4+·C7H5N2O2, (3), and a cocrystal with N,N‐dimethylacetamide and 4,6‐diamino‐2‐dimethylamino‐1,3,5‐triazine [as the solvated salt 2,6‐diamino‐4‐dimethylamino‐1,3,5‐triazin‐1‐ium 5‐cyano‐4‐methyl‐6‐oxo‐1,6‐dihydropyridin‐2‐olate–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (1/1)], C5H11N6+·C7H5N2O2·C4H9NO, (4), are reported. Solvates (1) and (2) both contain the hydroxy group in a para position with respect to the cyano group of CMP, acting as a hydrogen‐bond donor and leading to rather similar packing motifs. In cocrystals (3) and (4), hydrolysis of the solvent molecules occurs and an in situ nucleophilic aromatic substitution of a Cl atom with a dimethylamino group has taken place. Within all four structures, an R22(8) N—H...O hydrogen‐bonding pattern is observed, connecting the CMP molecules, but the pattern differs depending on which O atom participates in the motif, either the ortho or para O atom with respect to the cyano group. Solvents and coformers are attached to these arrangements via single‐point O—H...O interactions in (1) and (2) or by additional R44(16) hydrogen‐bonding patterns in (3) and (4). Since the in situ nucleophilic aromatic substitution of the coformers occurs, the possible Watson–Crick C–G base‐pair‐like arrangement is inhibited, yet the cyano group of the CMP molecules participates in hydrogen bonds with their coformers, influencing the crystal packing to form chains.  相似文献

A series of five binary complexes, i.e. three cocrystals and two molecular salts, using 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoic acid as a coformer have been produced with five commonly available compounds, some of pharmaceutical relevance, namely, 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoic acid–isonicotinamide (1/1), C7H4ClNO4·C6H6N2O, 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoic acid–3,3‐diethylpyridine‐2,4(1H,3H)‐dione (2/1), 2C7H4ClNO4·C9H13NO2, 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoic acid–pyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1), C7H4ClNO4·C4H7NO, 2‐carboxypiperidinium 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoate, C6H12NO2?·C7H3ClNO4?, and (2‐hydroxyethyl)ammonium 2‐chloro‐4‐nitrobenzoate, C2H8NO+·C7H3ClNO4?. The coformer falls under the classification of a `generally regarded as safe' compound. All five complexes make use of a number of different heteromeric hydrogen‐bonded interactions. Intermolecular potentials were evaluated using the CSD‐Materials module.  相似文献

Two novel cocrystals of the N(7)—H tautomeric form of N6‐benzoyladenine (BA), namely N6‐benzoyladenine–3‐hydroxypyridinium‐2‐carboxylate (3HPA) (1/1), C12H9N5O·C6H5NO3, (I), and N6‐benzoyladenine–DL‐tartaric acid (TA) (1/1), C12H9N5O·C4H6O6, (II), are reported. In both cocrystals, the N6‐benzoyladenine molecule exists as the N(7)—H tautomer, and this tautomeric form is stabilized by intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonding between the benzoyl C=O group and the N(7)—H hydrogen on the Hoogsteen site of the purine ring, forming an S(7) motif. The dihedral angle between the adenine and phenyl planes is 0.94 (8)° in (I) and 9.77 (8)° in (II). In (I), the Watson–Crick face of BA (N6—H and N1; purine numbering) interacts with the carboxylate and phenol groups of 3HPA through N—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds, generating a ring‐motif heterosynthon [graph set R22(6)]. However, in (II), the Hoogsteen face of BA (benzoyl O atom and N7; purine numbering) interacts with TA (hydroxy and carbonyl O atoms) through N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, generating a different heterosynthon [graph set R22(4)]. Both crystal structures are further stabilized by π–π stacking interactions.  相似文献

The structures of cocrystals of 2,6‐dichlorophenol with 2,4‐diamino‐6‐methyl‐1,3,5‐triazine, C6H4Cl2O·C4H7N5, (III), and 2,6‐dichloroaniline with 2,6‐diaminopyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one and N,N‐dimethylacetamide, C6H5Cl2N·C4H6N4O·C4H9NO, (V), plus three new pseudopolymorphs of their coformers, namely 2,4‐diamino‐6‐methyl‐1,3,5‐triazine–N,N‐dimethylacetamide (1/1), C4H7N5·C4H9NO, (I), 2,4‐diamino‐6‐methyl‐1,3,5‐triazine–N‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1), C4H7N5·C5H9NO, (II), and 6‐aminoisocytosine–N‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one (1/1), C4H6N4O·C5H9NO, (IV), are reported. Both 2,6‐dichlorophenol and 2,6‐dichloroaniline are capable of forming definite synthon motifs, which usually lead to either two‐ or three‐dimensional crystal‐packing arrangements. Thus, the two isomorphous pseudopolymorphs of 2,4‐diamino‐6‐methyl‐1,3,5‐triazine, i.e. (I) and (II), form a three‐dimensional network, while the N‐methylpyrrolidin‐2‐one solvate of 6‐aminoisocytosine, i.e. (IV), displays two‐dimensional layers. On the basis of these results, attempts to cocrystallize 2,6‐dichlorophenol with 2,4‐diamino‐6‐methyl‐1,3,5‐triazine, (III), and 2,6‐dichloroaniline with 6‐aminoisocytosine, (V), yielded two‐dimensional networks, whereby in cocrystal (III) the overall structure is a consequence of the interaction between the two compounds. By comparison, cocrystal–solvate (V) is mainly built by 6‐aminoisocytosine forming layers, with 2,6‐dichloroaniline and the solvent molecules arranged between the layers.  相似文献

Hydantoin‐5‐acetic acid [2‐(2,5‐dioxoimidazolidin‐4‐yl)acetic acid] and orotic acid (2,6‐dioxo‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydropyrimidine‐4‐carboxylic acid) each contain one rigid acceptor–donor–acceptor hydrogen‐bonding site and a flexible side chain, which can adopt different conformations. Since both compounds may be used as coformers for supramolecular complexes, they have been crystallized in order to examine their conformational preferences, giving solvent‐free hydantoin‐5‐acetic acid, C5H6N2O4, (I), and three crystals containing orotic acid, namely, orotic acid dimethyl sulfoxide monosolvate, C5H4N2O4·C2H6OS, (IIa), dimethylammonium orotate–orotic acid (1/1), C2H8N+·C5H3N2O4·C5H4N2O4, (IIb), and dimethylammonium orotate–orotic acid (3/1), 3C2H8N+·3C5H3N2O4·C5H4N2O4, (IIc). The crystal structure of (I) shows a three‐dimensional network, with the acid function located perpendicular to the ring. Interestingly, the hydroxy O atom acts as an acceptor, even though the carbonyl O atom is not involved in any hydrogen bonds. However, in (IIa), (IIb) and (IIc), the acid functions are only slightly twisted out of the ring planes. All H atoms of the acidic functions are directed away from the rings and, with respect to the carbonyl O atoms, they show an antiperiplanar conformation in (I) and synperiplanar conformations in (IIa), (IIb) and (IIc). Furthermore, in (IIa), (IIb) and (IIc), different conformations of the acid O=C—C—N torsion angle are observed, leading to different hydrogen‐bonding arrangements depending on their conformation and composition.  相似文献

Six ammonium carboxylate salts are synthesized and reported, namely 2‐propylammonium benzoate, C3H10N+·C7H5O2, (I), benzylammonium (R)‐2‐phenylpropionate, C6H10N+·C9H9O2, (II), (RS)‐1‐phenylethylammonium naphthalene‐1‐carboxylate, C8H12N+·C11H7O2, (III), benzylammonium–benzoate–benzoic acid (1/1/1), C6H10N+·C7H5O2·C7H6O2, (IV), cyclopropylammonium–benzoate–benzoic acid (1/1/1), C3H8N+·C7H5O2·C7H6O2, (V), and cyclopropylammonium–eacis‐cyclohexane‐1,4‐dicarboxylate–eetrans‐cyclohexane‐1,4‐dicarboxylic acid (2/1/1), 2C3H8N+·C8H10O42−·C8H12O4, (VI). Salts (I)–(III) all have a 1:1 ratio of cation to anion and feature three N+—H...O hydrogen bonds which form one‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded ladders. Salts (I) and (II) have type II ladders, consisting of repeating R43(10) rings, while (III) has type III ladders, in this case consisting of alternating R42(8) and R44(12) rings. Salts (IV) and (V) have a 1:1:1 ratio of cation to anion to benzoic acid. They have type III ladders formed by three N+—H...O hydrogen bonds, while the benzoic acid molecules are pendant to the ladders and hydrogen bond to them via O—H...O hydrogen bonds. Salt (VI) has a 2:1:1 ratio of cation to anion to acid and does not feature any hydrogen‐bonded ladders; instead, the ionized and un‐ionized components form a three‐dimensional network of hydrogen‐bonded rings. The two‐component 1:1 salts are formed from a 1:1 ratio of amine to acid. To create the three‐component salts (IV)–(VI), the ratio of amine to acid was reduced so as to deprotonate only half of the acid molecules, and then to observe how the un‐ionized acid molecules are incorporated into the ladder motif. For (IV) and (V), the ratio of amine to acid was reduced to 1:2, while for (VI) the ratio of amine to acid required to deprotonate only half the diacid molecules was 1:1.  相似文献

Polymorphism is the ability of a solid material to exist in more than one form or crystal structure and this is of interest in the fields of crystal engineering and solid‐state chemistry. 2,2′‐(Disulfanediyl)dibenzoic acid (also called 2,2′‐dithiosalicylic acid, DTSA) is able to form different hydrogen bonds using its carboxyl groups. The central bridging S atoms allow the two terminal arene rings to rotate freely to generate various hydrogen‐bonded linking modes. DTSA can act as a potential host molecule with suitable guest molecules to develop new inclusion compounds. We report here the crystal structures of three new polymorphs of the inclusion compound of DTSA and trimethylamine, namely trimethylazanium 2‐[(2‐carboxyphenyl)disulfanyl]benzoate 2,2′‐(disulfanediyl)dibenzoic acid monosolvate, C3H10N+·C14H9O4S2·C14H10O4S2, (1), tetrakis(trimethylazanium) bis{2‐[(2‐carboxyphenyl)disulfanyl]benzoate} 2,2′‐(disulfanediyl)dibenzoate 2,2′‐(disulfanediyl)dibenzoic acid monosolvate, 4C3H10N+·2C14H9O4S2·C14H8O4S22−·C14H10O4S2, (2), and trimethylazanium 2‐[(2‐carboxyphenyl)disulfanyl]benzoate, C3H10N+·C14H9O4S2, (3). In the three polymorphs, DTSA utilizes its carboxyl groups to form conventional O—H…O hydrogen bonds to generate different host lattices. The central N atoms of the guest amine molecules accept H atoms from DTSA molecules to give the corresponding cations, which act as counter‐ions to produce the stable crystal structures via N—H…O hydrogen bonding between the host acid and the guest molecule. It is noticeable that although these three compounds are composed of the same components, the final crystal structures are totally different due to the various configurations of the host acid, the number of guest molecules and the inducer (i.e. ancillary experimental acid).  相似文献

The Co‐MOF poly[[diaqua{μ4‐1,1,2,2‐tetrakis[4‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)phenyl]ethylene‐κ4N:N′:N′′:N′′′}cobalt(II)] benzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylic acid benzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylate], {[Co(C34H24N12)(H2O)2](C8H4O4)·C8H6O4}n or {[Co(ttpe)(H2O)2](bdc)·(1,4‐H2bdc)}n, (I), was synthesized by the hydrothermal method using 1,1,2,2‐tetrakis[4‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)phenyl]ethylene (ttpe), benzene‐1,4‐dicarboxylic acid (1,4‐H2bdc) and Co(NO3)2·6H2O, and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), luminescence, optical band gap and valence band X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (VB XPS). Co‐MOF (I) shows a (4,4)‐connected binodal two‐dimensional topology with a point symbol of {44·62}{44·62}. The two‐dimensional networks capture free neutral 1,4‐H2bdc molecules and bdc2? anions, and construct a three‐dimensional supramolecular architecture via hydrogen‐bond interactions. MOF (I) is a good photocatalyst for the degradation of methylene blue and rhodamine B under visible‐light irradiation and can be reused at least five times.  相似文献

The structures of ammonium 3,5‐dinitrobenzoate, NH4+·C7H3N2O6, (I), ammonium 4‐nitrobenzoate dihydrate, NH4+·C7H4NO4·2H2O, (II), and ammonium 2,4‐dichlorobenzoate hemihydrate, NH4+·C7H3Cl2O2·0.5H2O, (III), have been determined and their hydrogen‐bonded structures are described. All three salts form hydrogen‐bonded polymeric structures, viz. three‐dimensional in (I) and two‐dimensional in (II) and (III). With (I), a primary cation–anion cyclic association is formed [graph set R43(10)] through N—H...O hydrogen bonds, involving a carboxylate group with both O atoms contributing to the hydrogen bonds (denoted O,O′‐carboxylate) on one side and a carboxylate group with one O atom involved in two hydrogen bonds (denoted O‐carboxylate) on the other. Structure extension involves N—H...O hydrogen bonds to both carboxylate and nitro O‐atom acceptors. With structure (II), the primary inter‐species interactions and structure extension into layers lying parallel to (001) are through conjoined cyclic hydrogen‐bonding motifs, viz.R43(10) (one cation, an O,O′‐carboxylate group and two water molecules) and centrosymmetric R42(8) (two cations and two water molecules). The structure of (III) also has conjoined R43(10) and centrosymmetric R42(8) motifs in the layered structure but these differ in that the first motif involves one cation, an O,O′‐carboxylate group, an O‐carboxylate group and one water molecule, and the second motif involves two cations and two O‐carboxylate groups. The layers lie parallel to (100). The structures of salt hydrates (II) and (III), displaying two‐dimensional layered arrays through conjoined hydrogen‐bonded nets, provide further illustration of a previously indicated trend among ammonium salts of carboxylic acids, but the anhydrous three‐dimensional structure of (I) is inconsistent with that trend.  相似文献

Four new cocrystals of pyrimidin‐2‐amine and propane‐1,3‐dicarboxylic (glutaric) acid were crystallized from three different solvents (acetonitrile, methanol and a 50:50 wt% mixture of methanol and chloroform) and their crystal structures determined. Two of the cocrystals, namely pyrimidin‐2‐amine–glutaric acid (1/1), C4H5N3·C6H8O4, (I) and (II), are polymorphs. The glutaric acid molecule in (I) has a linear conformation, whereas it is twisted in (II). The pyrimidin‐2‐amine–glutaric acid (2/1) cocrystal, 2C4H5N3·C6H8O4, (III), contains glutaric acid in its linear form. Cocrystal–salt bis(2‐aminopyrimidinium) glutarate–glutaric acid (1/2), 2C4H6N3+·C6H6O42−·2C6H8O4, (IV), was crystallized from the same solvent as cocrystal (II), supporting the idea of a cocrystal–salt continuum when both the neutral and ionic forms are present in appreciable concentrations in solution. The diversity of the packing motifs in (I)–(IV) is mainly caused by the conformational flexibility of glutaric acid, while the hydrogen‐bond patterns show certain similarities in all four structures.  相似文献

The structures of the 1:1 hydrated proton‐transfer compounds of isonipecotamide (piperidine‐4‐carboxamide) with oxalic acid, 4‐carbamoylpiperidinium hydrogen oxalate dihydrate, C6H13N2O+·C2HO4·2H2O, (I), and with adipic acid, bis(4‐carbamoylpiperidinium) adipate dihydrate, 2C6H13N2O+·C6H8O42−·2H2O, (II), are three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonded constructs involving several different types of enlarged water‐bridged cyclic associations. In the structure of (I), the oxalate monoanions give head‐to‐tail carboxylic acid O—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen‐bonding interactions, forming C(5) chain substructures which extend along a. The isonipecotamide cations also give parallel chain substructures through amide N—H...O hydrogen bonds, the chains being linked across b and down c by alternating water bridges involving both carboxyl and amide O‐atom acceptors and amide and piperidinium N—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen bonds, generating cyclic R43(10) and R32(11) motifs. In the structure of (II), the asymmetric unit comprises a piperidinium cation, half an adipate dianion, which lies across a crystallographic inversion centre, and a solvent water molecule. In the crystal structure, the two inversion‐related cations are interlinked through the two water molecules, which act as acceptors in dual amide N—H...Owater hydrogen bonds, to give a cyclic R42(8) association which is conjoined with an R44(12) motif. Further N—H...Owater, water O—H...Oamide and piperidinium N—H...Ocarboxyl hydrogen bonds give the overall three‐dimensional structure. The structures reported here further demonstrate the utility of the isonipecotamide cation as a synthon for the generation of stable hydrogen‐bonded structures. The presence of solvent water molecules in these structures is largely responsible for the non‐occurrence of the common hydrogen‐bonded amide–amide dimer, promoting instead various expanded cyclic hydrogen‐bonding motifs.  相似文献

Different salts of the 2‐phenyl‐1,10‐phenanthrolin‐1‐ium cation, (pnpH)+, are obtained by reacting 2‐phenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline (pnp), C18H12N2, (I), with a variety of anions, such as hexafluoridophosphate, C18H13N2+·PF6, (II), trifluoromethanesulfonate, C18H13N2+·CF3SO3, (III), tetrachloridoaurate, (C18H13N2)[AuCl4], (IV), and bromide (as the dihydrate), C18H13N2+·Br·2H2O, (V). Compound (I) crystallizes with Z′ = 2, with both independent molecules adopting a coplanar conformation. In (II)–(IV), a hydrogen bond exists between the cation and anion, while one of the lattice water molecules serves as a hydrogen‐bonded bridge between the cation and anion in (V). Reaction of (I) with HAuCl4 gives the salt complex (IV); however, reaction with KAuCl4 produces the monodentate complex trichlorido(2‐phenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline‐κN10)gold(III), [AuCl3(C18H12N2)], (VI). Dichlorido(2‐phenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N,N′)copper(II), [CuCl2(C18H12N2)], (VII), results from the reaction of CuCl2·2H2O and (I), in which the CuII center adopts a tetrahedrally distorted square‐planar geometry. The pendent phenyl ring twists to a bisecting position relative to the phenanthroline plane. The square‐planar PdII complex, bromido[2‐(phenanthrolin‐2‐yl)phenyl‐κ3C1,N,N′]palladium(II), [PdBr(C18H11N2)], (VIII), is obtained from the reaction of (I) with [PdCl2(cycloocta‐1,5‐diene)], followed by addition of bromine. A coplanar geometry for the pendent ring is adopted as a result of the tridentate bonding motif.  相似文献

The reaction of CoSO4 with 2,4‐oxydibenzoic acid (H2oba) and 4,4′‐bipyridine (bipy) under hydrothermal condition yielded a new one‐dimensional cobalt(II) coordination polymer, {[Co(C14H9O5)2(C10H8N2)(H2O)2]·2H2O}n, which was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, magnetic properties and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The CoII ions are connected by bipy ligands into infinite one‐dimensional chains. The Hoba ligands extend out from the two sides of the one‐dimensional chain. O—H...O hydrogen bonding extends these chains into a two‐dimensional supramolecular architecture.  相似文献

In the crystal structures of 2‐amino‐4,6‐dimethoxypyrimidinium 2,4,6‐trinitrophenolate (picrate), C6H10N3O2+·C6H2N3O7, (I), and 2,4‐diamino‐5‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐6‐ethylpyrimidin‐1‐ium (pyrimethaminium or PMN) picrate dimethyl sulfoxide solvate, C12H14ClN4+·C6H2N3O7·C2H6OS, (II), the 2‐amino‐4,6‐dimethoxypyrimidine and PMN cations are protonated at one of the pyrimidine N atoms. The picrate anion interacts with the protonated cations through bifurcated N—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming R21(6) and R12(6) ring motifs. In (I), Z′ = 2. In (II), two inversion‐related PMN cations are connected through a pair of N—H...N hydrogen bonds involving the 4‐amino group and the uncharged N atom of the pyrimidine ring, forming a cyclic hydrogen‐bonded R22(8) motif. In addition to the pairing, the O atom of the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent molecule bridges the 2‐amino and 4‐amino groups on both sides of the paired bases, resulting in a self‐complementary …DADA… array of quadruple hydrogen‐bonding patterns.  相似文献

The acidity of the amine H atoms and the consequent salt formation ability of ethylenedinitramine (EDNA) were analyzed in an attempt to improve the thermal stability of EDNA. Two short‐chain alkanediamine bases, namely propane‐1,3‐diamine and butane‐1,4‐diamine, were chosen for this purpose. The resulting salts, namely propane‐1,3‐diaminium N,N′‐dinitroethylenediazanide, C3H12N22+·C2H4N4O42?, and butane‐1,4‐diaminium N,N′‐dinitroethylenediazanide, C4H14N22+·C2H4N4O42?, crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pbca and the monoclinic space group P21/n, respectively. The resulting salts display extensive hydrogen‐bonding networks because of the presence of ammonium and diazenide ions in the crystal lattice. This results in an enhanced thermal stability and raises the thermal decomposition temperatures to 202 and 221 °C compared to 180 °C for EDNA. The extensive hydrogen bonding present also plays a crucial role in lowering the sensitivity to impact of these energetic salts.  相似文献
