In the title compound, [Cu(C7H3N2O4)(C4H5N2)(H2O)], (I), pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylate (pydc2−), 2‐aminopyrimidine and aqua ligands coordinate the CuII centre through two N atoms, two carboxylate O atoms and one water O atom, respectively, to give a nominally distorted square‐pyramidal coordination geometry, a common arrangement for copper complexes containing the pydc2− ligand. Because of the presence of Cu...Xbridged contacts (X = N or O) between adjacent molecules in the crystal structures of (I) and three analogous previously reported compounds, and the corresponding uncertainty about the effective coordination number of the CuII centre, density functional theory (DFT) calculations were used to elucidate the degree of covalency in these contacts. The calculated Wiberg and Mayer bond‐order indices reveal that the Cu...O contact can be considered as a coordination bond, whereas the amine group forming a Cu...N contact is not an effective participant in the coordination environment.  相似文献

In the title compound, [Pb(C12H8NO2)2]n, the Pb atom sits on a crystallographic C2 axis and is six‐coordinate, ligated by two chelating carboxylate groups from two 3‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)benzoate (L) ligands and by two N atoms from another two ligands. Each ligand bridges two PbII centres, extending the structure into a corrugated two‐dimensional (4,4) net. The ligand L is conformationally chiral, with a torsion angle of 27.9 (12)° between the planes of its two rings. The torsion angle has the same sense throughout the structure, so that the extended two‐dimensional polymer is homochiral. Investigation of the thermal stability shows that the network is stable up to 613 K. In the absence of any stereoselective factor in the preparation of the compound, the enantiomeric purity of the crystal studied, based only on the torsional conformation of the ligand, implies that the bulk sample is a racemic conglomerate.  相似文献

Functionalized acid amides are widely used in biology, medicine, environmental chemistry and many other areas. Among them, pyridine‐substituted amides, in particular N‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)acetamide and its derivatives, play an important role due to their excellent chelating properties. The donor properties of these ligands can be effectively modified by introducing electron‐donating substituents (e.g. alkyl groups) into the heterocycle. On the other hand, substituents in the α‐position of the pyridine ring can create steric hindrance, which significantly influences the coordination number and geometry. To achieve a better understanding of these effects, copper(II) complexes with sterically demanding N‐(6‐methylpyridin‐2‐yl)acetamide ligands (L ) and monoanions of different size, shape and coordination ability have been chosen as model compounds. The crystal structures of three new compounds, bromidobis[N‐(6‐methylpyridin‐2‐yl‐κN )acetamide‐κO ]copper(II) bromide, [CuBr(C8H10N2O)]Br, (I), aquabis[N‐(6‐methylpyridin‐2‐yl‐κN )acetamide‐κO ]copper(II) dinitrate, [Cu(C8H10N2O)(H2O)](NO3)2, (II), and aquabis[N‐(6‐methylpyridin‐2‐yl‐κN )acetamide‐κO ]copper(II) bis(perchlorate), [Cu(C8H10N2O)(H2O)](ClO4)2, (III), have been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. It has been shown that the presence of the 6‐methyl group results in either a distorted square‐pyramidal or a distorted trigonal–bipyramidal coordination geometry around the CuII centres instead of the typical octahedral geometry observed when the methyl substituent is absent or occupies any other position on the pyridine ring. Moreover, due to the steric hindrance provided by the L ligands, only the bromide ligand, the smallest of the series, enters into the first coordination sphere of the CuII ion in (I). In (II) and (III), the vacant coordination site of the CuII ion is occupied by a water molecule, while the nitrate and perchlorate anions are not involved in coordination to the metal centre. The structures of (I)–(III) are characterized by the presence of one‐dimensional infinite chains formed by hydrogen bonds of the types N—H…Br [in (I)], N—H…O and O—H…O [in (II) and (III)] between the amide groups of the L ligands, the coordinated water molecules and the uncoordinated anions. The hydrogen‐bonded chains are further interconnected through π–π stacking interactions between the pyridine rings of the L ligands, with approximate interplanar separations of 3.5–3.6 Å.  相似文献

Supramolecular isomerism for coordination networks refers to the existence of different architectures having the same building blocks and identical stoichiometries. For a given building block, different arrangements can lead to the formation of a series of supramolecular isomers. Two one‐dimensional CoII coordination polymers based on N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐yl)oxalamide (BPO), both catena‐poly[[[dichloridocobalt(II)]‐bis[μ‐N,N′‐bis(pyridin‐3‐yl)oxalamide‐κ2N:N′]] dimethylformamide disolvate], {[CoCl2(C12H10N4O2)2]·2C3H7NO}n, have been assembled by the solvothermal method. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses reveal that the two compounds are supramolecular isomers, the isomerism being induced by the orientation of the dimethylformamide (DMF) molecules in the crystal lattice.  相似文献

The title compound, [Zn(SiF6)(C12H8N2)2]·CH3OH, contains a neutral heteroleptic tris‐chelate ZnII complex, viz. [Zn(SiF6)(phen)2] (phen is 1,10‐phenanthroline), exhibiting approximate molecular C2 point‐group symmetry. The ZnII cation adopts a severely distorted octahedral coordination. As far as can be ascertained, the title complex represents the first structurally characterized example of a ZnII complex bearing a bidentate‐bound hexafluorosilicate ligand. A density functional theory study of the isolated [Zn(SiF6)(phen)2] complex was undertaken to reveal the influence of crystal packing on the molecular structure of the complex. In the crystal structure, the methanol solvent molecule forms a hydrogen bond to one F atom of the hexafluorosilicate ligand. The hydrogen‐bonded assemblies so formed are tightly packed in the crystal, as indicated by a high packing coefficient (74.1%).  相似文献

The crystal structures of the title compounds, [Mo{(C4H8NO)2P(C2F5)}(CO)5], (1a), and [Mo{(C5H10N)2P(C2F5)}(CO)5], (2a), were determined as part of a larger project that focuses on the synthesis and coordination chemistry of phosphane ligands possessing moderate (electroneutral, i.e. neither electron‐rich nor electron‐deficient) electronic characteristics. Both complexes feature a slightly distorted octahedral geometry at the metal center, due to the electronic and steric repulsions between two of the four equatorial CO groups and the pentafluoroethyl group attached to the phosphane ligand. Bond length and angle data for (1a) and (2a) support the conclusion that the free phosphane ligands are electroneutral. For complex (1a), the Mo—P, Mo—Cax and Mo—Ceq(ave) bond lengths are 2.5063 (5), 2.018 (2) and 2.048 (2) Å, respectively, and for complex (2a) these values are 2.5274 (5), 2.009 (3) and 2.050 (3) Å, respectively. Geometric data for (1a) and (2a) are compared with similar data reported for analogous Mo(CO)5 complexes.  相似文献

Copper(II)–Schiff base complexes have attracted extensive interest due to their structural, electronic, magnetic and luminescence properties. The title novel monomeric CuII complex, [Cu(C10H11N2O4)2], has been synthesized by the reaction of 3‐{[(3‐hydroxypropyl)imino]methyl}‐4‐nitrophenol (H2L ) and copper(II) acetate monohydrate in methanol, and was characterized by elemental analysis, UV and IR spectroscopies, single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis and a photoluminescence study. The CuII atom is located on a centre of inversion and is coordinated by two imine N atoms, two phenoxy O atoms in a mutual trans disposition and two hydroxy O atoms in axial positions, forming an elongated octahedral geometry. In the crystal, intermolecular O—H…O hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form a one‐dimensional chain structure and π–π contacts also connect the molecules to form a three‐dimensional structure. The solid‐state photoluminescence properties of the complex and free H2L have been investigated at room temperature in the visible region. When the complex and H2L are excited under UV light at 349 nm, the complex displays a strong green emission at 520 nm and H2L displays a blue emission at 480 nm.  相似文献

Reaction of N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide), C20H18F2N4O2, ( LF ), with zinc chloride and mercury(II) chloride produced different types and shapes of neutral coordination complexes, namely, dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ2N,O]zinc(II), [ZnCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 1 ), and dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ4O,N,N′,O′]mercury(II), [HgCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 2 ). The organic ligand and its metal complexes are characterized using various techniques: IR, UV–Vis and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopies, in addition to powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography and microelemental analysis. Depending upon the data from these analyses and measurements, a typical tetrahedral geometry was confirmed for zinc complex ( 1 ), in which the ZnII atom is located outside the bis(benzhydrazone) core. The HgII atom in ( 2 ) is found within the core and has a common octahedral structure. The in vitro antibacterial activities of the prepared compounds were evaluated against two different bacterial strains, i.e. gram positive Bacillus subtilis and gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The prepared compounds exhibited differentiated growth‐inhibitory activities against these two bacterial strains based on the difference in their lipophilic nature and structural features.  相似文献

The mononuclear complex, [NiCl2 (trzCH2CH2COPh)4]·6H2O (trz =1,2,4‐triazole), was synthesized and its structure was determined by single crystal X‐ray determination. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c, with lattice parameters: a = 0.80391(2) nm, b = 1.08215(2) tun, c = 2.90133(2) nm, β = 94.792 (1)° and Z = 2. Each nickel atom is coordinated by four N atoms of triazole from four β‐(1,2,4‐triazole‐1‐yl)propiophenone ligands and two chloride anions in trans arrangement with octahedral coordination geometry. In addition to the coordinating nickel complex, there are six uncoordinated water molecules. The Ni‐Cl distance is 0.24865(8) nm and the Ni‐N distances are in the range of 0.2072(2) to 0.2099(2) nm, respectively. In the solid state, the title compound forms three dimensional network structure through hydrogen bonds. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds connect the [NiCl2(C2H2N3CH2CH2COPh)4] and H2O moieties. The deep green crystals were also examined by elemental analysis, FT‐IR and UV spectra, which are in agreement with the structural data.  相似文献

Aroylhydrazones of ortho‐hydroxy aldehydes are Schiff base ligands that typically coordinate as a chelate in an O,N,O′‐manner. Dinuclear complexes are normally observed, with the phenolate O atom acting as the bridging atom. The switchable protonation state of the tridentate N′‐(2‐hydroxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide (H2sabhz) ligand can lead to variations in the resulting supramolecular structure. The title compound, [Pb2(C14H10N2O2)2], was prepared by the reaction of [Pb(OAc)2]·3H2O (OAc is acetate) with the benzoylhydrazone derivative of salicylaldehyde, i.e. H2sabhz, in the presence of triethylamine in methanol. In the crystal structure, each PbII atom of the dimer has an NO3 coordination environment, with one sabhz ligand coordinating in an O,N,O′‐manner and with the second sabhz ligand coordinating via the bridging phenolate O atom, since the dimers are located on a centre of inversion. It has been found that the dimers are connected by Pb…N interactions, resulting in a two‐dimensional supramolecular network which shows the [32.52,3.53] net topology. The s2 electron pair of the PbII ion clearly influences the observed intermolecular interactions.  相似文献

Mn(bzimpy)2(1)[bzimpy=2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine],a mononuclear manganese(Ⅱ)complex, was synthesized by the reaction of Mn(OOCMe)2 with bzimpy in absolute ethanol. The complex was structurally characterized by elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and X-ray crystallography. In the complex, the manganese-nitrogen distances were different, and the geometry and the metal ion environment showed the distortion. The cyclic voltammetric measurements have been performed to assess its redox characteristics. The presence of oxidation wave at 0.62V and 0.081V vs.SCE or 0.8V and 1.0v vs.NHE suggested that this complex could catalyze the oxidation of water, therefore, simulate the water-oxidizing complex(WOC) of photosystem Ⅱ (PS Ⅱ).The measurements of photoreduction of 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol (DCPIP),and oxygen evolution in the manganess-depleted and the comples 1-reconstituted PS Ⅱ preparations just support our conjecture.  相似文献

Mononuclear complexes are good model systems for evaluating the effects of different ligand systems on the magnetic properties of iron(II) centres. A novel crystal structure of the title compound, [Fe(C18H24N10)](BF4)2·CH3OH, with one molecule of methanol per formula unit exhibits a strictly sixfold coordination sphere associated with a low‐spin configuration at the metal centre. The incorporated methanol solvent molecule promotes extended hydrogen‐bonding networks between the tetrafluoridoborate anions and the cationic units. A less constrained crystal structure regarding close contacts between the tetrafluoridoborate anions and the cationic units allows a spin transition which is inhibited in the previously published hydrate of the title compound.  相似文献

Starting from ( 1 ), three new platinum(II) complexes, namely (η2‐4‐allyl‐2‐methoxyphenol)chlorido(2‐methylquinolin‐8‐olato‐κ2N ,O )platinum(II), ( 2 ), (η2‐4‐allyl‐2‐methoxyphenol)chlorido(5‐nitroquinolin‐8‐olato‐κ2N ,O )platinum(II), ( 3 ), and (η2‐4‐allyl‐2‐methoxyphenol)chlorido(5,7‐dichloroquinolin‐8‐olato‐κ2N ,O )platinum(II), [Pt(C9H4Cl2NO)Cl(C10H12O2)], ( 4 ), containing eugenol and a quinolin‐8‐ol derivative (R‐OQ), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, MS, IR, 1H NMR and NOESY spectra. For ( 1 ) and ( 4 ), single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies were also carried out. Complexes ( 2 )–( 4 ) show good inhibiting abilities on three human cancer cell lines, i.e. KB, Hep‐G2 and LU, with IC50 values of 1.42–17.8 µM . Complex ( 3 ) gives an impressively high activity against KB, Hep‐G2, LU and MCF‐7, with IC50 values of 1.42–4.91 µM , which are much lower than those of cisplatin and some other platinum(II) complexes.  相似文献

Iron is of interest as a catalyst because of its established use in the Haber–Bosch process and because of its high abundance and low toxicity. Nitrogen‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) are important ligands in homogeneous catalysis and iron–NHC complexes have attracted increasing attention in recent years but still face problems in terms of stability under oxidative conditions. The structure of the iron(II) complex [1,1′‐bis(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐2,2‐bi(1H‐imidazole)‐κN3][3,3′‐bis(pyridin‐2‐yl‐κN)‐1,1′‐methanediylbi(1H‐imidazol‐2‐yl‐κC2)](trimethylphosphane‐κP)iron(II) bis(hexafluoridophosphate), [Fe(C17H14N6)(C16H12N6)(C3H9P)](PF6)2, features coordination by an organic decomposition product of a tetradentate NHC ligand in an axial position. The decomposition product, a C—C‐coupled biimidazole, is trapped by coordination to still‐intact iron(II) complexes. Insights into the structural features of the organic decomposition products might help to improve the stability of oxidation catalysts under harsh conditions.  相似文献

By the solvothermal reaction under acidic conditions of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O, Na2C2O4 and the N,N′‐ditopic organic coligands 1‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)piperazine (ppz) and 1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethane (bpa), two novel anionic copper(II) coordination compounds were obtained, namely the one‐dimensional coordination polymer catena‐poly[4‐(pyridin‐1‐ium‐4‐yl)piperazin‐1‐ium [[(oxalato‐κ2O1,O2)copper(II)]‐μ‐oxalato‐κ3O1,O2:O1′]], {(C9H15N3)[Cu(C2O4)2)]}n or {(H2ppz)[Cu(C2O4)2]}n, (I), and the discrete ionic complex 4,4′‐(ethane‐1,2‐diyl)dipyridinium bis(oxalato‐κ2O1,O2)copper(II), (C12H14N2)[Cu(C2O4)2] or (H2bpa)[Cu(C2O4)2], (II). The products were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, elemental analysis, powder X‐ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyses and UV and IR spectroscopic techniques. The [Cu(C2O4)2]2− units for (I) and (II) are stabilized by H2ppz2+ and H2bpa2+ cations, respectively, via charge‐assisted hydrogen bonds. Also, a study of the pH‐controlled synthesis of this system shows that (I) was obtained at pH values of 2–4. When using bpa, a two‐dimensional square‐grid network of [Cu(C2O4)(bpa)]n was obtained at a pH of 4. This indicates that the pH of the reaction also plays a key role in the structural assembly and coordination abilities of oxalate and N,N′‐ditopic coligands.  相似文献

In the title coordination polymer, [Zn2(C14H8N2O4)2(C12H10N2)]n, the asymmetric unit contains one ZnII cation, two halves of 2,2′‐(diazene‐1,2‐diyl)dibenzoate anions (denoted L2−) and half of a 1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethene ligand (denoted bpe). The three ligands lie across crystallographic inversion centres. Each ZnII centre is four‐coordinated by three O atoms of bridging carboxylate groups from three L2− ligands and by one N atom from a bpe ligand, forming a tetrahedral coordination geometry. Two ZnII atoms are bridged by two carboxylate groups of L2− ligands, generating a [Zn2(CO2)2] ring. Each loop serves as a fourfold node, which links its four equivalent nodes via the sharing of four L2− ligands to form a two‐dimensional [Zn2L4]n net. These nets are separated by bpe ligands acting as spacers, producing a three‐dimensional framework with a 4664 topology. Powder X‐ray diffraction and solid‐state photoluminescence were also measured.  相似文献

The title compound, [Cu(C9H8BrClNO2)2], is a square‐planar complex. The potentially tridentate dibasic 2‐bromo‐4‐chloro‐6‐{[(2‐hydroxyethyl)imino]methyl}phenolate ligand coordinates in a trans‐bis fashion to the CuII centre via the imine N and phenolate O atoms. The CuII atom lies on the centre of inversion of the molecule. The potentially coordinating hydroxyethyl group remains protonated and uncoordinated, taking part in intermolecular hydrogen bonds with vicinal groups, leading to the formation of a two‐dimensional hydrogen‐bond network with sheets parallel to the (10) plane. Substituent effects on the crystal packing and coordination modes of the ligand are discussed.  相似文献
