设计了高电流密度圆柱状电子枪,并分析了枪体参数对电子注品质的影响;运用径向力平衡理论计算了聚焦磁场.三维模拟软件CSTPARTICLESTUDIO模拟显示,在枪体电极和空间电荷形成的静电场,以及聚焦磁场作用下,电子呈角向先变速后匀速螺旋状运动,其旋转半径始终与出射阴极面时的半径相同,从而在枪区和互作用通道内维持了注包络水平.模拟结果与设计理论相符.注平均电流密度达到24·4A/cm2,层流性良好,填充因子76·7%,流通率100%.  相似文献

In this paper, the complex source-point theory used for a symmetric concave spherical resonator is extended to an asymmetric concave spherical resonator. Thus, the formulae for the field distribution of the asymmetric spherical resonator can be easily deduced from the formulae for the field distribution of the symmetric resonator, thereby the application range of the complex source-point theory is enlarged and a convenient method is provided for the field analysis of an arbitrary spherical resonator.  相似文献

A technique has been developed for processing ultrasonic focused transducer pulse-echo scan data for improved non-destructive inspection of subjects having non-smooth or analytically discontinuous front surfaces. Synthetic aperture focusing, phase shifted average processing is used where the entire inspection field is focused. This development was for two dimensions but is easily extended to three. The method uses finite elements to define the front surface geometry and includes an arbitrarily varying transducer scan path. Transducer tilt angle and synthetic aperture may take on a full range of values. A general computer code has been written to perform this processing and so prepare data for imaging. A test/comparison example is given.  相似文献

A static mass analyzer of charged particles operating under a nonuniform magnetic field is suggested. An expression for the magnetic potential distribution is obtained in explicit form. From this expression, formulas for the basic parameters in the dispersion plane are derived for first-order angular focusing. Conditions for space focusing are found when a source and a detector are beyond the magnetic field region. Operating conditions where the trajectory exhibits three turns (in other words, charged particles travel a longer distance in the field) are established. The extended trajectory causes a considerable increase in the mass linear dispersion.  相似文献

设计了一种新型的体全息光栅透镜, 在一块光学平板(体全息记录材料)内可以将输入光束产生横向传输并聚焦, 或对输入光点产生横传的准直. 它由一束平面波和一束球面波正交入射到光学平板上干涉形成的. 研究了该体全息透镜的光栅间距变化情况, 为设计和制备体全息光栅透镜及相关器件提供了理论依据. 基于两光束耦合波理论, 得到了该光栅透镜的耦合波方程, 近似计算了该透镜的衍射效率及其达到高衍射效率时透镜的最佳尺寸. 最后, 讨论了该透镜在集成光学等领域中的应用.  相似文献

The speckle in ultrasound images has long been thought to contain information related to the tissue microstructure. Many different investigators have analyzed the frequency characteristics of the backscattered signals to estimate the scatterer acoustic concentration and size. Previous work has been mostly restricted to unfocused or weakly focused ultrasound sources, thus limiting its implementation with diagnostically relevant fields. Herein, we derive equations capable of estimating the size of a scatterer for any reasonably focused source provided that the velocity potential field in the focal region can be approximated as a three-dimensional Gaussian beam, scatterers are a sufficient distance from the source, and the field is approximately constant across the scatterer. The calculations show that, when estimating the scatterer size, correcting for focusing requires a generalized attenuation-compensation function that includes both attenuation and focusing along the beam axis. The Gaussian approximation is validated by comparing the ideal velocity potential field for three spherically focused sources with f-numbers of 1, 2, and 4 to the Gaussian approximation for frequencies from 2 to 14 MHz. The theoretical derivations are evaluated by simulating the backscatter by using spherically focused sources (f-numbers of 1, 2, and 4) adjacent to attenuating media (0.05 to 1 dB/cm/MHz) that contain scatterers with Gaussian impedance distributions. The generalized attenuation-compensation function yielded results accurate to 7.2% while the traditional attenuation-compensation functions that neglected focusing had errors as high as 103%.  相似文献

A new optical element, image orthogonalizator, is used for this purpose. We propose a novel system allowing remote control of the location of the extended focal depth region. This system may find applications in situations where controllable optical access to an enclosure is needed and it is desirable to minimize the movement of the focusing lens. Our scheme uses three axicons, two external ones generating a ring and an internal one producing the focal region. We present a proof of concept of this system, consisting of measurements of the longitudinal and transverse intensity distributions, for a reference configuration and one with a displaced position of the extended depth of field focus.  相似文献

Focusing of a high-power laser beam, whose initial wave front is deformed by spherical aberration and astigmatism, in a medium with refractive-index nonlinearity is investigated by the computer experiment method. It was found that the extended formations which arise near the focus are no longer diffraction catastrophes, since they are structurally unstable. It is shown that weak disturbances of the shape of the initial wave front produce extremely strong distortions of the optical field in the focusing region. As the wave propagates in the z direction, spatial chaos in the distribution of the optical field develops in the region of focusing (from 137 to 142 mm). Optical turbulence arises in the focusing region as a result of self-diffraction of light by self-induced nonuniformities of the refractive index of the medium. After the region with the smallest cross section of the formation near the focus, the three-dimensional optical field has the form of chaotically dispersing “splashes” and extended “filamentary ejecta.” Zh. The ability to generate short focused ultrasonic pulses with duration on the order of one period of carrier frequency depends on the bandwidth of the transmitter as the pulse duration is inversely proportional to the bandwidth. Conventional focusing arrays used for focusing ultrasound have limited bandwidth due to the resonant nature of the piezoelements generating ultrasound. Theoretically it is possible to build a broadband phased array composed of “non-resonant” elements: wedge-shaped or flat-concave piezotransducers, though there are numerous technical difficulties in designing arrays with hundreds of elements of complex shape. This task is much easier to realize in an alternative technique of ultrasound focusing based on the principles of Time Reversed Acoustics (TRA) because in TRA systems, effective focusing can be achieved with just a few, or even one, transducers. The goal of this study is to demonstrate the possibility of broadband focusing of ultrasonic waves using a TRA system with non-resonant transducers and to explore the factors affecting the performance of such a system. A new type of TRA reverberators, such as water-filled thin-wall plastic vessels, which can be used with the submersible piezotransducers fixed internally in the reverberator, are proposed and tested. The experiments are conducted in a water tank with the walls and bottom covered by a sound absorbing lining. A needle hydrophone mounted on a 3D positioning system is used as a beacon for the TRA focusing and then for measuring the spatial distribution of the focused ultrasound field. The bandwidth and spatial distribution of the signal focused by the TRA system using a single channel with the resonant versus non-resonant transducers have been analyzed. Two types of non-resonant transducers were tested: a flat-concave transducer with a diameter of 30 mm, and a thickness varying from 2 mm in the center to 11 mm at the edge, and a specially designed submersible transducer having an uneven shape with a diameter of about 25 mm and a thickness varying from 2 to 6 mm. It was shown that TRA focusing system using non-resonant transducer had a bandwidth at 10 dB of 500 kHz while the resonant transducer provided about 100 kHz bandwidth. Correspondingly, the extended bandwidth of the TRA focusing system, especially toward higher frequencies, provides a 50% sharper spatial distribution. Furthermore, the relative level of the background ultrasound was reduced by a factor up to 3 as more frequencies were added coherently in focus and incoherently out of focus. Advantages of water-filled reverberators made of thin-wall plastic vessels include easy manufacturing, low costs, extreme simplicity, and good acoustical matching with soft tissues, important for biomedical applications.  相似文献

Discrete element modelling (DEM) is one of the most efficient computational approaches to the fracture processes of heterogeneous materials on mesoscopic scales. From the dynamics of single crack propagation through the statistics of crack ensembles to the rapid fragmentation of materials DEM had a substantial contribution to our understanding over the past decades. Recently, the combination of DEM with other simulation techniques like Finite Element Modelling further extended the field of applicability. In this paper we briefly review the motivations and basic idea behind the DEM approach to cohesive particulate matter and then we give an overview of on-going developments and applications of the method focusing on two fields where recent success has been achieved. We discuss current challenges of this rapidly evolving field and outline possible future perspectives and debates.  相似文献

The vertical focusing is one of the primary problems in the central region of cyclotrons. This focusing effect brought about by the magnetic field is inclined to be weak near the center of the machine due to the fact that the flutter is small, while the electric focusing forces incurred from the dee gaps become very strong. Since the electric focusing effect is dependent on the RF phase, we have proceeded to carry out analytical calculations and numerical simulation about the vertical focusing in the central region of CYCIAE100, including magnetic focusing, electric focusing and the defocusing effect from the space charge effect. All the results have been used for the design of the central region for CYCIAE-100 and a good vertical focusing has been obtained.  相似文献

Laser ultrasonics is an effective means of generating surface acoustic waves (SAWs). We have shown in previous publications how computer-generated holograms (CGHs) can be used to project optical distributions onto the sample surface. These can be used to control both the frequency content and the spatial distribution of the resulting ultrasound field. In this paper the concept is extended further to produce distributions which themselves act as diffractive acoustic elements (DAEs) for SAWs. It is demonstrated how frequency suppression, multiple foci, and frequency selective focusing of Rayleigh waves may be achieved with these elements. Agreement between the distributions predicted from the designs and those actually measured is excellent.  相似文献

The two-dimensional model of millimeter wave resonant O-type oscillator (as orotron, ledatron, resonant BWO, etc.) with a relativistic electron beam is analyzed. The selfconsistent nonlinear simultaneous equations have been obtained for the arbitrary space distribution of the magnetic guide field. The start generation characteristics are analyzed under small-signal conditions with an analytical solution taken for the case of inclined focusing magnetic field. It is found that the efficiency of electron-wave interaction appreciably depends on the focusing field strength and the relativistic mass factor. The results of numerical optimization of the guide field structure are presented to show possibility of improvement of the start characteristics of the oscillator.  相似文献

Beam instabilities in an accelerator with focusing of an axisymmetric accelerating field are considered for deviation of the field from axial symmetry. The effect is evaluated quantitatively for an accelerator with phase-variable focusing produced by a two-conductor resonator. 利用一个拓展的非线性薛定谔方程,研究了高强度超短脉冲光束在三阶非线性介质中传输时的时空调制不稳定现象。进一步考虑了时空聚焦、自陡峭和拉曼延迟响应等效应。通过采用线性化的方法,研究在均匀光强的背景下噪声的增长。发现介质的拉曼延迟响应对超短脉冲的时空调制不稳定有很明显的影响,使其在更广的范围出现,甚至在自散焦介质中的反常色散区域,也出现了时空不稳定现象。在此基础上,还对其时空不稳定性的一些特征进行了分析。  相似文献

An important consideration in the design of any air termination system is the maximum distance at which the terminations can be placed from the “vulnerable points” on structures, i.e., typically those points that create the highest degree of electric field intensification. This paper extends a previous, preliminary analysis of the problem in three significant ways. Firstly, the height range of the air terminations has been extended by a factor of 4 with a series of additional calculations. Secondly, account is taken of the material of construction of the building on which the air terminations are installed. Thirdly, and most importantly, a field study has been carried out in a high-lightning area as real check on the model results. All of the results are compared and some quantitative guidelines are provided for the maximum distance at which air terminations should be installed from the vulnerable points of structures.  相似文献

Performance parameters have been presented that can be used to compare the focusing performance of different optical systems, including the effect of pupil filters. These were originally given for the paraxial case and recently extended to the high-aperture scalar regime. We generalize these parameters to the full vectorial case for an aplanatic optical system illuminated by a plane-polarized wave. The behavior of different optical systems is compared.  相似文献
