Heterobimetallic complexes of formula [M{(PPh2)2C2B9H10}(S2C2B10H10)M′(PPh3)] (M=Pd, Pt; M′=Au, Ag, Cu) and [Ni{(PPh2)2C2B9H10}(S2C2B10H10)Au(PPh3)] were obtained from the reaction of [M{(PPh2)2C2B10H10}(S2C2B10H10)] (M=Pd, Pt) with [M′(PPh3)]+ (M′=Au, Ag, Cu) or by one‐pot synthesis from [(SH)2C2B10H10], (PPh2)2C2B10H10, NiCl2 ? 6 H2O, and [Au(PPh3)]+. They display d8–d10 intermetallic interactions and emit red light in the solid state at 77 K. Theoretical studies on [M{(PPh2)2C2B9H10}(S2C2B10H10)Au(PPh3)] (M=Pd, Pt, Ni) attribute the luminescence to ligand (thiolate, L)‐to‐“P2‐M‐S2” (ML′) charge‐transfer (LML′CT) transitions for M=Pt and to metal (M)‐to‐“P2‐M‐S2” (ML′) charge‐transfer (MML′CT) transitions for M=Ni, Pd.  相似文献

The ruthenacarborane complexes of the exo-nido- and closo-structure, namely, diamagnetic exo-nido-5,6,10-[RuCl(PPh3)2]-5,6,10-(μ-H)3-10-H-7,8-(CH3)2-7,8-C2B9H6, 3,3-[Ph2P(CH2) n PPh2]-3-H-3-Cl-closo-3,1,2-RuC2B9H11 (n = 4, 5), paramagnetic 3,3-[Ph2P(CH2) n PPh2]-3-Cl-closo-3,1,2-RuC2B9H11 (n = 2–5), and their some ortho-phenylenecycloboronated derivatives, were studied by cyclic voltammetry. All chelate closo-complexes are characterized by reversible redox transitions, while the exo-nido-complex is liable to irreversible oxidation. Shortening of the methylene link in the diphosphine ligand of closo-ruthenacarboranes and/or the introduction of ortho-phenylenecycloboronated moieties and methyl substituents to the carbon atoms of the {C2B9} ligand lead to a decrease in the redox potential and electron density redistribution to the metal atom. A comparison of the experimental results on methyl methacrylate polymerization in the presence of the catalytic systems based on the studied metallacarboranes with the data on their electrochemical characteristics suggests that the efficiency of using the ruthenium complexes as catalysts is mainly determined by steric factors.  相似文献

Three nickel(II) carborane complexes, [Ni2(μ-Cl)2{7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10}2] (1), [Ni{7-(OPPh2)-8-(PPh2)-7,8-C2B9H10}{7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10}] (2) and [NiBr2{1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10}] · CH2Cl2 (3), have been synthesized by the reactions of 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,2-dicarba-closo-dodecaborane with NiCl2 · 6H2O or NiBr2 · 6H2O in ethanol under different conditions, respectively. For complex 1, it could also be obtained under the solvothermal condition. All the three complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray structure determination. Single crystal analysis shows that the molecular symmetry of complex 1 is centrosymmetric, containing two same structure units - Ni(7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10) linked by two bridged-Cl atoms. The central square plane formed by the [Ni2Cl2] unit is almost parallel to the two side NiPP planes. For complex 2, the coordination environment of the Ni atom is a seriously distorted square-planar, in which two positions come from the chelating diphosphine ligand [7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10] degraded from the closo species, while the other two are occupied by an unsymmetrical chelating phosphine oxide ligand [7-(OPPh2)-8-(PPh2)-7,8-C2B9H10]. As for complex 3, the geometry at the Ni atom is a slightly distorted square-planar. The closo carborane diphosphine ligand 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10 was coordinated bidentately to the metal ion through the two phosphorus atoms, and the two Br atoms are at cis position which can fulfill the four coordination mode of the metal.  相似文献

The nickel(II) N‐benzyl‐N‐methyldithiocarbamato (BzMedtc) complexes [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)Cl] ( 1 ), [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)Br] ( 2 ), [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)I] ( 3 ), and [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)(NCS)] ( 4 ) were synthesized using the reaction of [Ni(BzMedtc)2] and [NiX2(PPh3)2] (X = Cl, Br, I and NCS). Subsequently, complex 1 was used for the preparation of [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)2]ClO4 ( 5 ), [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)2]BPh4 ( 6 ), and [Ni(BzMedtc)(PPh3)2]PF6 ( 7 ). The obtained complexes 1 – 7 were characterized by elemental analysis, thermal analysis and spectroscopic methods (IR, UV/Vis, 31P{1H} NMR). The results of the magnetochemical and molar conductivity measurements proved the complexes as diamagnetic non‐electrolytes ( 1 – 4 ) or 1:1 electrolytes ( 5 – 7 ). The molecular structures of 4 and 5· H2O were determined by a single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. In all cases, the NiII atom is tetracoordinated in a distorted square‐planar arrangement with the S2PX, and S2P2 donor set, respectively. The catalytic influence of selected complexes 1 , 3 , 5 , and 6 on graphite oxidation was studied. The results clearly indicated that the presence of the products of thermal degradation processes of the mentioned complexes has impact on the course of graphite oxidation. A decrease in the oxidation start temperatures by about 60–100 °C was observed in the cases of all the tested complexes in comparison with pure graphite.  相似文献

Heteronuclear complexes containing oxorhenium(V), with Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and UO2(VI) ions were prepared by the reaction of the complex ligands [ReO(HL1)(PPh3)(OH2)Cl]Cl (a) and/or [ReO(H2L2)(PPh3)(OH2)Cl]Cl (b), where H2L1?=?1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)butane-1,3-dione-3-(5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-3-ylhydrazone) and H3L2?=?1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)butane-1,3-dione-3-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylhydrazone), with transition and actinide salts. Heterodinuclear complexes of ReO(V) with Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) were obtained using a 1?:?1 mole ratio of the complex ligand and the metal salt. Heterotrinuclear complexes were obtained containing ReO(V) with UO2(VI) and Cu(II) using 2?:?1 mole ratios of the complex ligand and the metal salts. The complex ligands a and b coordinate with the heterometal ion via a nitrogen of the heterocyclic ring and the nitrogen atom of the C=N7 group. All transition metal cations in the heteronuclear complexes have octahedral configurations, while UO2(VI)?complexes have distorted dodecahedral geometry. The structures of the complexes were elucidated by IR, ESR, electronic and 1H NMR spectra, magnetic moments, conductance and TG-DSC measurements. The antifungal activities of the complex ligands and their heteronuclear complexes towards Alternaria alternata and Aspergillus niger showed comparable behavior with some well-known antibiotics.  相似文献

Zwitterionic 4,8,8′-exo-{Ph3PCu}-4,8,8′-(μ-H)3-commo-3,3′-Co(1,2-C2B9H9)-(1′,2′-C2B9H10) and ionic [(PPh3)3Cu][commo-3,3′-Co(1,2-C2B9H11)2 complexes were synthesized in moderate yields by the reaction of anionic commo-complex [Cs][commo-3,3′-Co-(1,2-C2B9H11)2]) in a CH2Cl2 solution with anhydrous CuCl2 or CuCl in the presence of PPh3. The complexes were also synthesized by alternative methods and characterized by NMR and X-ray diffraction methods.  相似文献

Reactions of Schiff bases (H2apahR) derived from acetophenone and acid hydrazides, triethylamine and [Ru(PPh3)3Cl2] (1:2:1 mole ratio) in methanol provide cyclometallated ruthenium(III) complexes of formula trans-[Ru(apahR)(PPh3)2Cl] in 74–81% yields. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectroscopic (infrared, electronic and EPR) and electrochemical measurements. X-ray crystal structures of two representative complexes have been determined. In each complex, the metal centre is in distorted octahedral CNOClP2 coordination sphere assembled by the C,N,O-donor meridionally spanning apahR2?, the chloride and the two mutually trans-oriented PPh3 molecules. All the complexes are one-electron paramagnetic (μeff. = 1.85–1.98 μB) and display rhombic EPR spectra in frozen (120 K) dichloromethane-toluene (1:1) solution. Electronic spectra of the complexes display several absorptions within 470–270 nm due to ligand-to-metal charge transfer and ligand centred transitions. The complexes are redox active and display a Ru(III)  Ru(II) reduction and a Ru(III)  Ru(IV) oxidation in the potential ranges ?0.66 to ?0.70 V and 0.75 to 0.80 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively.  相似文献

The reactions of equimolar amounts of trans-[ReOC13(PPh3)2] or trans-[Re(NPh)(PPh3)2Cl3] with a Schiff base formed by condensation of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde and ethanolamine (H2L) result in the formation of cis-[ReO(HL)PPh3Cl2] (1a) and trans-[Re(NPh)(HL)(PPh3)Cl2] (2b), respectively, in good yields. 1a and 2b have been characterized by a range of spectroscopic and analytical techniques. The X-ray crystal structures of 1a and 2b reveal that 1a is an octahedral cis-Cl,Cl oxorhenium(V) complex, while 2b is a trans-Cl,Cl phenylimidorhenium(V) complex. The complexes are weakly emissive at room temperature with quantum yields of 10?4. Density functional theory calculations of the electronic properties of the complexes were performed and are in agreement with the experimental results. The complexes display quasi-reversible Re(V)/Re(VI) redox couples in acetonitrile. There is reasonable agreement between the experimental and calculated redox potentials of 1a and 2b.  相似文献

A facile preparative procedure was developed for the synthesis of 17-and 18-electron closo-(diphosphine)ruthenacarborane complexes. This method is based on the replacement of PPh3 ligands with bis(diphenylphosphino)alkanes Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2 (n = 2—4) in ruthenacarborane 3,3-(PPh3)2-3-Cl-3-H-closo-3,1,2-RuC2B9H11. The resulting complexes exhibit high activity in controlled radical polymerization of vinyl monomers.  相似文献

Reaction of α-amino acids (HL) with [Ru(PPh3)3Cl2] in the presence of a base afforded a family of complexes of type [Ru(PPh3)2(L)2]. These complexes are diamagnetic (low-spin d6, S=0) and show ligand-field transitions in the visible region. 1H and 31P NMR spectra of the complexes indicate the presence of C2 symmetry. Cyclic voltammetry on the [Ru(PPh3)2(L)2] complexes show a reversible ruthenium(II)–ruthenium(III) oxidation in the range 0.30–0.42 V vs. SCE. An irreversible ruthenium(III)–ruthenium(IV) oxidation is also displayed by two complexes near 1.5 V vs. SCE.  相似文献

A tetranuclear gold cluster has been synthesized by the reaction of [Au(PPh3)NO3] with the closo carborane diphosphine 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10 in THF, and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C?NMR spectroscopy and X-ray structure determination. The cluster crystallizes in the triclinic Pī, a?=?15.118(8)?Å, b?=?16.057(9)?Å, c?=?24.284(13)?Å, α?=?80.822(9)°, β?=?79.624(8)°, γ?=?81.938(8)°, Z?=?2, R 1?=?0.0626, wR 2?=?0.1894. A single crystal structure determination showed that four gold atoms form a tetrahedral framework. Among these four gold atoms, two were chelated by two nido carborane diphosphine [7,8-(PPh2)2-7,8-C2B9H10]? anions coming from the degradation of the initial closo ligand 1,2-(PPh2)2-1,2-C2B10H10, while the other two were ligated to two PPh3 groups. The luminescence of this cluster was also investigated in dichloromethane solution at room temperature.  相似文献

Treatment of Ni(HP1) (H3P1 = meso-5-[4′-(2″-pyridyl)phenyl]-10,15,20-triphenyporphyrin) with K2[PdCl4] in EtOH afforded [Pd{Ni(P1)}]2(μ-Cl)2 that reacted with NaS2CNEt2 to give Pd(S2CNEt2)[Ni(P1)]. Reaction of Ni(HP1) with [Ir(H)2(PPh3)2(Me2CO)2][BF4] afforded Ir(H)Cl(PPh3)2[Ni(P1)]. The crystal structures of Pd(S2CNEt2)[Ni(P1)] and Ir(H)(Cl)(PPh3)2[Ni(P1)] have been determined.  相似文献

AgOTf (OTf = trifluoromethanesulfonate) shows the reactivity differences when it reacts with carborane complexes [MCl2{(PPh2)2(C2B10H10)}] (M = Ni (2), Pd (3)). The reaction of AgOTf with the palladium complex 3 affords [Pd2(μ-OTf)2{(PPh2)2(C2B9H10)}2] (4) in high yields, while corresponding reaction between the nickel complex 2 and AgOTf leads to the formation of binuclear complexes [Ni{(PPh2)2(C2B9H10)}](μ-Cl)2[Ag{(PPh2)2(C2B10H10)}] (5) and [Ag2(μ-Cl)2 {(PPh2)2 (C2B10H10)}2] (6). The carborane cage of complexes 4 and 5 were broken to form nido-carboranes. It is believed the group 10 metals themselves play an important role in opening the closo-carborane skeleton. Directly stirring [(PPh2)2(C2B10H10)] with AgOTf afforded [Ag2(μ-OTf)2{(PPh2)2(C2B10H10)}2] (7), which is also used to react with 2 and 3. The reaction between 2 and 7 gives only 4 in high yields, however, stirring the mixture of 3 and 7 affords [Pd2(μ-Cl)2{(PPh2)2(C2B9H10)}2] (8), [Pd{(PPh2)2(C2B9H10)}2] (9) and 6. All these complexes have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 11B NMR and elemental analyses. Complexes 2, 4-9 have also been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses.  相似文献

Monophosphine‐o‐carborane has four competitive coordination modes when it coordinates to metal centers. To explore the structural transitions driven by these competitive coordination modes, a series of monophosphine‐o‐carborane Ir,Rh complexes were synthesized and characterized. [Cp*M(Cl)2{1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11}] (M=Ir ( 1 a ), Rh ( 1 b ); Cp*=η5‐C5Me5), [Cp*Ir(H){7‐(PPh2)‐7,8‐C2B9H11}] ( 2 a ), and [1‐(PPh2)‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐MC2B9H10] (M=Ir ( 3 a ), Rh ( 3 b )) can be all prepared directly by the reaction of 1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11 with dimeric complexes [(Cp*MCl2)2] (M=Ir, Rh) under different conditions. Compound 3 b was treated with AgOTf (OTf=CF3SO3?) to afford the tetranuclear metallacarborane [Ag2(thf)2(OTf)2{1‐(PPh2)‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐RhC2B9H10}2] ( 4 b ). The arylphosphine group in 3 a and 3 b was functionalized by elemental sulfur (1 equiv) in the presence of Et3N to afford [1‐{(S)PPh2}‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐MC2B9H10] (M=Ir ( 5 a ), Rh ( 5 b )). Additionally, the 1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11 ligand was functionalized by elemental sulfur (2 equiv) and then treated with [(Cp*IrCl2)2], thus resulting in two 16‐electron complexes [Cp*Ir(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐7,8‐C2B9H9)] ( 6 a ) and [Cp*Ir(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐9‐OCH3‐7,8‐C2B9H9)] ( 7 a ). Compound 6 a further reacted with nBuPPh2, thereby leading to 18‐electron complex [Cp*Ir(nBuPPh2)(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐7,8‐C2B9H10)] ( 8 a ). The influences of other factors on structural transitions or the formation of targeted compounds, including reaction temperature and solvent, were also explored.  相似文献

Abstract

Six new nickel complexes of two dithiocarbamate ligands (cyfdtc = N-cyclohexyl-N- furfuryldithiocarbamate and bztpedtc = N-benzyl-N-[2-thiophenylethyl]dithiocarbamate) namely, (Ni[cyfdtc]2) (1), (Ni[bztpedtc]2) (2), (Ni[cyfdtc][NCS][PPh3]) (3), (Ni[bztpedtc] [NCS][PPh3]) (4), (Ni[cyfdtc][PPh3]2)ClO4 (5), and (Ni[bztpedtc][PPh3]2)ClO4 (6) have been prepared and characterized using IR, electronic, and NMR (1H and 13C) spectra. A single crystal X-ray structural analysis was carried out for complex 3 and showed that nickel is in a distorted square planar arrangement with the NiS2PN chromophore. The shift in νC?N of the heteroleptic complexes to higher frequencies compared with the parent complex is assigned to mesomeric delocalization of electron density from the

dithiocarbamate ligand toward the metal atom, which increases the contribution of polar thioureide form in mixed ligand complexes. Electronic spectral studies suggest square planar geometry for the complexes. In the 13C NMR spectra, the upfield shift of NCS2 carbon signal for 3 and 4 from the chemical shift value of 1 and 2 is due to effect of PPh3 on the mesomeric drift of electron density toward nickel throughout thioureide C?N bond.  相似文献

The respective coordination reactions of trans-[ReOCl3(PPh3)2] with N-[(4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl)methylidene]thiophene-2-carbohydrazide (Hchrtc) and N-[1,3-benzothiazol-2-ylmethylidene]thiophene-2-carbohydrazide (Hbztc) afforded two novel oxorhenium(V) complexes, cis-[ReOCl2(chrtc)(PPh3)] (1) and cis-[ReOCl2(bztc)(PPh3)] (2). These metal compounds were elucidated spectroscopically and their solid-state structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The redox properties of the metal complexes were probed using cyclic and square wave voltammetry. The DNA interaction capabilities of 1 and 2 were gauged via UV/Vis spectroscopy DNA titrations and gel electrophoresis studies. A correlation is identified between the DNA cleavage observations and the redox potentials of the metal complexes.  相似文献

The cathodic behaviour of electrochemically generated nickel(II) has been investigated in acetonitrile in the presence of triphenylphosphine at a platinum electrode. An appropriate combination of voltammetric, spectrophotometric and NMR findings has allowed us to establish that Ni(II) is present in solution as [Ni(PPh3)2 (CH3CN)42+.]. For the reduction of this species an EECE mechanism is proposed which is consistent with the data. It undergoes an irreversible two-electron reduction giging the Ni(0) complex [Ni(PPh3)4] which reacts quickly with the depolarizer. In this last homogeneous redox reaction the not previously reported Ni(I) complex [Ni(PPh3)4+] is obtained. The degree of reversibility of the redox processes involved has been discussed taking into account the structure, the coordination number and the nature of the ligands in both the redox partners.  相似文献

Four Ru(II) complexes with tridentate ligands viz. (4-hydroxy-N′-(pyridin-2-yl-ethylene) benzohydrazide [Ru(L1)(PPh3)2(Cl)] (1), N′-(pyridin-2-yl-methylene) nicotinohydrazide [Ru(L2)(PPh3)2(Cl)] (2), N′-(1H-imidazol-2-yl-methylene)-4-hydroxybenzohydrazide [Ru(L3)(PPh3)2(Cl)] (3), and N′-(1H-imidazol-2-yl-methylene) nicotinohydrazide [Ru(L4)(PPh3)2(Cl)] (4) have been synthesized and characterized. The methoxy-derivative of L3H (abbreviated as L3H*) exists in E configuration with torsional angle of 179.4° around C7-N8-N9-C10 linkage. Single crystal structures of acetonitrile coordinated ruthenium complexes of 1 and 3 having compositins as [Ru(L1)(PPh3)2(CH3CN)]Cl (1a) and [Ru(L3)(PPh3)2(CH3CN)]Cl (3a) revealed coordination of tridentate ligands with significantly distorted octahedral geometry constructed by imine nitrogen, heterocyclic nitrogen, and enolate amide oxygen, forming a cis-planar ring with trans-placement of two PPh3 groups and a coordinated acetonitrile. Ligands (L1H-L4H) and their ruthenium complexes (1–4) are characterized by 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, and IR spectral analysis. Ru(II) complexes have reversible to quasi-reversible redox behavior having Ru(II)/Ru(III) oxidation potentials in the range of 0.40–0.71 V. The DNA binding constants determined by absorption spectral titrations with Herring Sperm DNA (HS-DNA) reveal that L4H and 1 interact more strongly than other ligands and Ru(II) complexes. Complexes 1–3 exhibit DNA cleaving activity possibly due to strong electrostatic interactions while 4 displays intercalation.  相似文献

Ni(II) di(pentyl)dithiocarbamates of composition [Ni(Pe2dtc)2], [NiX(Pe2dtc)(PPh3)] (X = Cl, Br, I, NCS), [Ni(NCS)(Pe2dtc)(PBut3)], [Ni(Pe2dtc)(PPh3)2]ClO4 and [Ni(Pe2dtc)(PPh3)2]PF6 (Pe2dtc = di(pentyl)dithio-carbamate, PPh3 = triphenylphosphine, PBut3 = tributylphosphine) have been synthesized. The complexes have been characterized by the usual methods. X-ray structure analyses confirmed the nature of [NiI(Pe2dtc)(PPh3)] and [Ni(Pe2dtc)(PPh3)2]ClO4 complexes.  相似文献

Reactions of 2-(arylazo)aniline, HL-NH2 [H represents the dissociable protons upon complexation and HL-NH2 is p-RC6H4NNC6H4-NH2; R = H for HL1-NH2; CH3 for HL2-NH2 and Cl for HL3-NH2] with Ru(H)(CO)(PPh3)3Cl and Ru(CO)3(PPh3)2 afforded products of compositions [(HL-NH)Ru(CO)Cl(PPh3)2] and [(L-NH)Ru(PPh3)2(CO)], respectively. All the complexes were characterized unequivocally. The X-ray structures of the complexes 4c and 5c have been determined. The cyclic volatammograms exhibited one reversible oxidative response in the range of 0.56–0.16 V versus SCE for [(L-NH)Ru(PPh3)2(CO)] and a quasi reversible oxidative response within 0.56–0.70 V versus SCE for [(HL-NH)Ru(CO)Cl(PPh3)2]. The conversion of ketones to corresponding alcohols has been studied in presence of newly synthesized ruthenium complexes.  相似文献
